I contacted Acima Credit to pay off my lease in full. During the call, a supervisor informed me that if I paid the balance that day, the payoff amount would be reduced by {$50.00}. The supervisor transferred me to their automated phone payment system to enter my card information. However, the system would not accept keypad input, preventing me from completing the payment through the phone system as instructed. Because I still intended to complete the payoff that same day, I immediately logged into my account and paid the full balance through Acimas website. After the payment posted, the supervisor stated that the {$50.00} reduction would not be honored because the payment was completed online rather than through the phone system. I relied on the payoff amount quoted by the supervisor and attempted to follow their instructions to process payment through their system. A technical issue prevented this, yet the company refused to honor the payoff amount that was quoted to me.…

I leased jewelry from a merchant on XXXX. The merchant repeatedly told me to remind him to ship the item. On the XXXX day, my messages stopped going through and I could no longer contact him. I contacted Acima Leasing, who said they would give the merchant 30 days to respond before I could cancel the lease. I want the lease canceled immediately because the merchant has not shipped the item and is unresponsive.
In XX/XX/year>, I had vehicle repair work completed for approximately {$3300.00} at a local auto repair shop. The employee offered 12 months same as cash financing through ACIMA and completed the application for me. I did not physically sign any documents, did not authorize an electronic signature, and did not present identification. I later discovered that the transaction was processed as a rental-purchase agreement rather than a loan, with a total cost exceeding {$8500.00}. This was not explained to me at the time of sale, and the same as cash representation was misleading and not reflected in the agreement. The agreement also classifies non-returnable vehicle repairs as rental property. I have made payments believing I was paying down a standard financing balance, but the payoff amount has increased significantly.…
I am filing this complaint because Acima Leasing is attempting to collect a debt that has already been satisfied and is engaging in unauthorized bank account harassment. 1. Unauthorized Daily Withdrawals : Acima has repeatedly 'spammed ' my bank account with daily withdrawal attempts that were not authorized by our agreement. Specifically, they attempted withdrawals for 5+ consecutive days in XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ), multiple days in XXXX, and daily from XX/XX/XXXX, to XX/XX/XXXX. This daily retry system was admitted by their agent 'XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, and is a violation of the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. 2. Debt Already Satisfied : I was quoted a cash price of {$400.00} for tires. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I have already paid a total of {$550.00}. This is 139 % of the original cash price. Despite this overpayment, Acima is claiming I still owe over {$550.00}, which would bring the total to nearly triple the original cost ( {$1100.00} ). 3.…

I had a lease with Acima Leasing and exercised the early purchase option to pay off the lease in full. The payoff amount was withdrawn from my bank account on XX/XX/year>. The following day, I received an email stating that a renewal payment failed and that my lease needed to be reinstated. My lease should have already been paid in full and closed after the early purchase payoff. I was never notified of any failed transaction before the lease was reopened, and additional charges of approximately {$500.00} were added to my account. I am disputing these charges because I completed the early purchase payoff and the lease should have been closed. I am requesting that Acima correct my account, remove the additional charges, and confirm that my lease is paid in full.

After reviewing the terms of this loan, I have determined that the interest rate being charged exceeds the maximum rate permitted under XXXX XXXX law. XXXX XXXX has strict usury laws that limit the amount of interest that may legally be charged to consumers. The rate applied to this account appears to be unlawful and therefore unenforceable within the State of XXXX XXXX Because the loan carries an illegal interest rate, the agreement is not valid or enforceable under XXXX XXXX law. The current structure of the loan makes it impossible for the balance to be reasonably paid down due to the excessive interest being applied.…
I am submitting this complaint regarding my financing agreement with Acima Credit for a washer and dryer that were defective and did not work. Shortly after receiving the appliances, I discovered that they were not functioning properly and were unusable. Following Acimas instructions, I attempted to contact the merchant who sold the appliances in order to resolve the issue. However, the merchant refused to communicate with me and has blocked my attempts to contact them. The merchant also refused to repair, replace, or retrieve the appliances. Since then, I have made multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly with Acima. During these interactions with customer service, I have experienced long hold times, repeated transfers between representatives, and inconsistent or mixed information from agents. Different representatives have promised different outcomes or solutions, but none of these promises have been followed through.…
I entered into a lease-to-own agreement with Acima Credit for furniture XXXX My lease agreement clearly states : You may return the Property at any time with no obligation or penalty. After deciding to return the furniture, I contacted the company and requested instructions for returning the property and asked them to schedule pickup. Despite multiple attempts to arrange the return, the company did not schedule pickup or provide clear return instructions. Instead, the company offered to cancel the lease only if I paid {$240.00}. This contradicts the terms of the lease, which state that the property XXXX be returned at any time with no obligation or penalty. I am attempting to exercise my contractual right to return the property, but the company is preventing the return while attempting to collect payment. Additionally, the company told me the account was closed, but I was still charged {$59.00} after that, despite exercising my right to return the property.…
So I leased a cell phone from XXXX XXXX with Acima around XX/XX/year> which was a total of {$780.00}. And I was paying it off for about XXXX months but the payment started to get higher and they started adding extra charges so I contacted them and they said I could just take the phone back to XXXX XXXX and there wouldnt be any issue but about XXXX weeks again I got a call saying I was going to have court and be sued and they wouldnt tell me anything but gave me a Number to call and a account number. When I called the number they said Acima sold them my debt and they were trying to take me to court but they said I could make a payment plan to avoid it. I was very confused because the device was returned and they said it would all be done once I returned it. I agreed to the payment plan out of fear of being sued but someone referred me to reach out to you guys for help.
I contacted Acima about the end of my lease due to making the final payment today XX/XX/XXXX. I entered into this agreement for electronics in XXXX of XXXX and have made a total of XXXX payments which satisfy the original contract. It is showing all payments made and the contracted amount is paid in full but they are stating I owe XXXX to be able to close the account. I first chatted with their customer support over text in the app and was told that the XXXX is fees. I asked if I could have a ledger to show where the fees came from and was told they are unable to provide that. I called customer support to ask for a ledger and explained what I had been told. I was told by the representative that the fees were added all at once and the total is XXXX. The fees are late fees and associated fees. I do not dispute that I have had some late payments, but I would like a ledger to show the origination before I pay them nearly another lease payment.
I am submitting this complaint regarding an inaccurate account being reported on my credit report by ACIMA DIGITAL FKA SIMP. This account is showing a balance of {$5500.00} and was recently updated on my credit report. However, this account is extremely old ( dating back to approximately XXXX ), and the balance and reporting appear inaccurate. The account also shows a balance updated date of XX/XX/year>, yet it has recently appeared or been re-reported on my credit file, which is misleading and damaging to my credit profile. I have not received proper notice of this debt, validation of the balance, or documentation supporting the amount being reported. I have attempted to contact ACIMA to resolve this matter and request verification, but I have been unable to successfully reach them. This reporting is negatively impacting my credit and financial opportunities. I am requesting that ACIMA : 1.…
Hello, My account remains under active review with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Georgia Attorney Generals Consumer Division. Since my initial settlement request, I have made an additional payment in good faith, and another payment is scheduled to process on the XXXX. I am requesting written confirmation that this payment will be considered my final payment, that my account will be closed with a XXXX balance, that I will retain possession of the furniture, and that no negative credit reporting will occur. I do not agree to the proposed early payout option XX/XX/year> as it would still result in substantial overpayment given that I have already paid approximately {$5000.00} on furniture that originally cost {$3000.00} and currently has a market value of {$1900.00}. Please confirm this resolution in writing. Thank you, XXXX XXXX [ XXXX ] ( XXXX : XXXX ) ( XXXX ) XXXX

What he didnt tell me was that if I didnt pay the whole thing in 90 days the amount would almost triple in interest. I called the acima place once they sent me an outrageous amount saying I owe them thats triple the cost of the item I bought. They said oh your a couple days outside of the 90 day period thats why. I said the store person didnt tell me this and acima only sent me a notice after the facts

The package itself had the jewelers name XXXX XXXX which was negligence on their end. I ordered two necklaces which amounted to XXXX that I never received.i reached out to the seller to explain the package was empty, but after I didnt receive any further contact as the seller stopped responding to my messages saying it was out of their control of it being stolen. I really wanted the necklaces but the seller sold out of the one I wanted to even try to receive a replacements. So I have no necklaces at all. Never received any replacements. The post office claims there was several theft going on during that period. I received an empty package. I already provided Acima with all evidence of police reports and post master office filings, emailed claim numbers, yet Acima still continues to harass by threats of credit.…
Fraudulent account opened through Acima Leasing on XX/XX/26 under my partial name- only used my first and middle name. No last name listed. Used my personal bank account to set up weekly payments of approximately {$110.00} for XXXX weeks for a total of over {$6000.00}. Information was used without my consent or knowledge. I reached out to Acima Leasing who gave minimal information but thankfully the scammer used my real email address so I was able to gain access to the online portal. From there, I printed a copy of the lease and took screenshots of any pertinent information I may need later. A police report was filed as required by the Acima Leasing fraud team ( who is only available via email ), but they have now requested a copy, which I have to wait and pay for, to even begin the investigation process. My identity was stolen and Acima Leasing, who has proven to show negligence and lack of proper screening, has made this already devastating process more difficult.
I was told by the collector that this account was open XX/XX/year>2024. From Acima Digital. I have no knowledge of this account. I had no idea of the account until I received the phone call in regards to it. I called the furniture place trying to retain information the states the account was created online. And thats all the information she had for me.

I received an email saying a purchase under my name was made by Acima for {$720.00} on XX/XX/year> towards XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX An initial payment of {$10.00} was submitted However, I have no memory of this purchase or transaction, or the Company that the transaction was in reference too Originally I thought it was a scam or fake link, so I paid it no attention, until Acima official documents showed up to my door about the payments I called Acima and they said in order to close the account and have it removed, I need to create a fraud report
I entered into a lease-to-own agreement with Acima for commercial tires XXXX The total lease amount is {$5100.00}. To date, I have paid {$4900.00}, which is over 95 % of the total contract amount. When I contacted Acima to obtain a payoff amount, I was told that I now owe {$5400.00}. This would make my total cost exceed {$10000.00}, which is more than double the total lease amount and is mathematically impossible. I requested a written payoff calculation and full breakdown showing : The formula used to calculate the payoff The Acima cash price All fees All payments credited How the amount of {$5400.00} was determined Acima refused to provide any written breakdown or formula and stated that my XXXX early payoff option expired on XX/XX/XXXX. They then threatened to send my account to collections while still refusing to validate or explain the balance. I am not refusing to pay. I am disputing the accuracy of the payoff amount and requesting documentation to support it.…
I made my payment manually on or before the due date through Acimas system. Despite the payment being successfully submitted, Acima still attempted an automated withdrawal afterward, which caused my card to decline and resulted in a {$25.00} NSF fee. I contacted Acima and spoke with five representatives over approximately 1.5 hours. Each representative stated that this is just how Acima works, refused to remove the NSF fees, and refused to disable auto-pay. I did not authorize duplicate payment attempts for the same obligation. Charging NSF fees due to Acimas internal payment scheduling system is an unfair billing practice. I am requesting : Refund of all NSF fees charged after payments were already made Immediate removal of auto-pay Written confirmation that manual payments satisfy the obligation and prevent additional withdrawal attempts
On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased custom wheels from XXXX XXXX in Illinois. At the time of purchase, XXXX XXXX advertised and promoted ACIMA Credit , LLC as a XXXX interest-free financing option. I paid {$1500.00} in cash on XX/XX/XXXX and was told the remaining balance of approximately {$1500.00} would be financed. During the ACIMA enrollment process on XX/XX/XXXX, the transaction screen showed a Maximum Cost to Own of {$3500.00} and a XXXX term. Before signing, I questioned both figures. The salesperson told me that the {$3500.00} was the total cost of the wheels and did not include my {$1500.00} cash payment, and that the XXXX term was simply how ACIMA structures financing and that it was interest-free for the first 90 days. Based on those explanations, I believed I was entering into a XXXX financing arrangement for only the remaining balance.…

In XX/XX/year>, I financed a jewelry chain through a merchant using XXXX XXXX XXXX and Acima Leasing. After reviewing the paperwork, I later discovered that the merchant ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) opened multiple financing agreements for a single chain, using different item descriptions. The merchant advised that additional financing was required to reach the total purchase amount and facilitated opening additional accounts using my mother and my partner, even though only XXXX physical chain was provided. No separate or additional merchandise was received. I contacted the merchant shortly after the purchase to report that the chain was poor quality and not as represented. The merchant refused a refund or exchange. I then contacted both finance companies to dispute the transaction and request a resolution.Acima later acknowledged the issue and indicated a return process, but this did not resolve the matter with the other finance company because only XXXX chain existed.…

I do not believe that Acimas active, time-proximate payment communications clearly and conspicuously disclose material information about the timing and financial consequences of my First Early Purchase Option ( FEPO ) at the moment those decisions were most relevant. Acima asserts that it is solely the consumers responsibility to monitor the portal and recall contract terms disclosed at signing, consumer protection standards do not permit a covered person to rely exclusively on prior disclosures when subsequent communications actively encourage continued payment behavior while omitting material, time-sensitive information. As reflected in Acimas own emails, payment reminders emphasized autopay status, upcoming payment dates, and continued payment obligations, while failing to provide a clear expiration date, explain the loss of a substantially lower purchase price, or disclose the existence and limited duration of any extension window.…

I bought a refrigerator through Acima in XXXX. I never missed a payment and had never been late. I ended up paying over {$3000.00} for a refrigerator that was worth approximately {$1700.00}. On the XXXX to last payment my card did not go through because it had expired. Acima also had my bank account information and took the payment directly from my bank account, the same day. This left only XXXX, {$130.00} payment and it would be paid off. A few weeks later I received a notice from Acima stating I owed {$2800.00} and if not paid immediately, I could owe as much as {$4000.00}. They claimed that because my card did not go through It defaulted the payoff agreement. I refused to pay them and they continued to take XXXX more {$230.00} payments from my bank account when my pay off payment were {$130.00}. I finally had to have my bank block them. Im constantly worried they will find another way to take money from my account.…
I have been called nonstop after missing a payment by XXXX day. Then they started calling family members. This is complete harassment. I will NEVER use this company ever again. I regret even giving them any of my money because they do not deserve it. I have it on automatic pay every XXXX weeks. And the day of payment if it doesnt go through I get MULTIPLE calls. My credit card companies have not even done that. This is absolutely ridiculous. I wish I did more research on them before moving forward. DONT USE ASCIMA LEASING

Summary of the Issue I am filing this complaint regarding a lease agreement issued by Acima Credit that I dispute as invalid due to material misrepresentation, lack of informed consent, and inaccurate personal information contained in the account. Although Acima has refused to investigate this matter as fraud or identity misuse, the facts of this case demonstrate that a legally valid agreement was never knowingly or properly formed. What Happened On or about XX/XX/year>, I went to XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, Texas to purchase a bed. During this transaction, I was assisted not by an XXXX XXXX, but by an Acima representative who facilitated the leasing process. I was told that I was approved for a payment structure that was materially different from the lease terms later enforced by Acima. I relied on these representations in agreeing to proceed.…
