I authorized a debit card purchase on XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) for XXXX for a XXXX coat on what turned out to be a fake website. This merchant later provided a tracking number to my financial institution ( NOT ME ) that shows delivery within my ZIP code ; however, after Alliant Credit Union gave me the tracking number they had received, I went to XXXX for further evidence. They confirmed the package was delivered to a different address and was not addressed to my name or my address. I opened the dispute XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. This was closed on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I reopened this with further evidence. I received a declined dispute with the same answer on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I tried to reopen a XXXX time, but they closed it before I could even send them evidence just XXXX minutes later. Since then I have called almost weekly. The staff has been helpful forwarding the evidence I have gathered to the disputes team, but I have not heard a single thing from that team.…

I have spoken on the phone with representatives at Alliant Credit Union, and XXXX. I've disputing a charge of {$640.00} to my credit card account around the date of XX/XX/XXXX. At the time when we noticed this charge, we reported it to Alliant as fraud on the same day while the charge was still pending. The charge was placed at XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX in Maryland, and were able to cancel the card before other purchases in the area went through. My driver 's license and credit card were stolen and used for fraudulent purchases. Since this, I have filed police reports as well as gone to the XXXX to obtain a new driver 's license with a new driver 's license number. Our household has also received new credit cards and locked our bank accounts, as the fraudulent activity went beyond this credit card. This charge was made by whomever stole my license and credit card and was transacted fraudulently using my identity. We did not authorize this purchase of a rental car in my name.…
I am filing a formal complaint against Alliant Credit Union regarding their mishandling of a certificate of deposit ( CD ) renewal. On XX/XX/XXXX, my CD for {$220000.00} was renewed for XXXX months with a maturity date of XXXX, XXXX, but the interest rate reflected in my account is showing 0.00 % and after XXXX month I have no posted interest. The advertised rate at the time of renewal for a XXXX month XXXX was 4.10 %. I have repeatedly contacted Alliant to request confirmation of the correct rate, access to the secure message center, and written documentation sent to my personal email. I have received none. Ive been repeatedly stonewalled by Customer Service reps these past few days. I have requested escalation and attempted to contact Alliant through several internal and external email addresses, all of which have either been ignored or bounced back.…
I wondered why my credit card bill was so much higher than usual. After diving into my account, the only real way to audit my own transactions would be to review an itemized list that includes my account balance after each transaction. It turns out that Alliant has this built into their reports, but it's not working correctly, leading to the appropriate column in their reports being zeroed out. I have been trying to work this out with Alliant 's CEO and COO to no avail. They have ghosted me on phone calls, refused to acknowledge the mathematical error and have been ignoring requests to void any fees associated with their mistakes. The following is a step by step account of what has transpired thus far.…

I applied for an Alliant Credit Union credit card. I have been approved initially, but the loan officer will not complete the process until I " sign '' my social security card. I sent in my social security card, but he said it must be signed, and will not accept an unsigned version. He said a signature is necessary to " validate '' it. I can find no source that indicates a signature is necessary to validate a social security card. All sources I found indicated that it is valid by default, and an unsigned card is valid. The Social Security Administration says : " Instructions provided on the front of the SSN card stub advise adults to sign their card in ink immediately. Children are told not to sign until age XXXX or their first job, whichever is earlier. Although the card serves as SSA 's official verification of the SSN assigned to the individual named on the card, it is not an identity document. Failure to sign the card does not invalidate it.…
I previously owed a balance on an older account with Alliant Credit Union. On XX/XX/year>, I paid {$89.00} to resolve that balance in full. I have a payment confirmation showing the transaction was processed and accepted by Alliant Credit Union. After paying the prior balance, I opened a new account and was assured by the credit union that everything had been resolved and that my new account would function normally. However, since opening the new account I have not been issued an ATM or debit card and I have been unable to access my funds in a normal manner. I have attempted to contact Alliant Credit Union multiple times to resolve this issue. Each time I call, I am told that the department responsible for resolving the issue is unavailable, on break, or unable to assist me. As a result, I have been unable to obtain assistance or access to my funds.…
My Heloc transferred servicers to Alliant credit union in XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX I received a missed payment letter ( although I had made all payments ) and I had also failed to receive my XXXX tax documentation. I tried to access my account through the online portal on alliantcreditunion.org but I could not create an account because " some of the information provided did not match our records ''. My husband ( coborrower ) could also not access an online account for the same reason. So I called the customer service line. During my call with customer service I could again not verify my identity ( I believe it was the date of birth that is incorrect ) so they refused to help me and disconnected the call. They would not provide a way to correct the data. The following business day I called back requesting the matter be escalated to a fraud or member resolution team. I explained that I believed their data was incorrect and I needed to correct the data so I could access my account.…
I first called the loan company, asking about making interest only payments and they informed me if i pay extra itll apply to the interest only. So i paid extra on my payment and the money just sat there. They never would apply it so i finally had en extra for a monthly payment so i only paid what it said i owed ( like XXXX ) this was last XXXX ( not sure if XXXX or XXXX ) since then, my loan amouny has not decreased at all. My payments are early and always the correct amount. Ive called numerous times askign them to explain to me why its not decreasing and they just get snooty and have an attitude. I have yet to get any answers but even tho prior to this my loan amount decreased a bit each month, it has not lowered from XXXX since XXXX of XXXX ( pretty sure its XXXX, XXXX be XXXX ).
I am filing this complaint regarding Alliant Credit Unions improper denial of my credit card dispute ( Case XXXX ). The dispute concerns a hotel stay at DoubleTree by Hilton from XX/XX/year>. During the stay, I documented and reported serious health and safety failures, including : Strong marijuana odor in the room Severely stained bedding ( multiple occurrences ) Roach in the bathroom Exposed wiring and wall damage Filthy carpet and sanitation concerns Television malfunction These issues were reported during the stay. The hotel acknowledged the problems and offered only a partial refund. Hilton Corporate also refused to issue a full refund, and the matter remained unresolved. I filed a chargeback based on services not as described/ materially deficient services. On XX/XX/XXXX, Alliant denied the dispute with the reasoning that I stayed for the entire reservation and services were provided. This reasoning is improper and incomplete.…
On XX/XX/year> I was trying to use my debit card at XXXX to make a money order as I have done for the last 2 years. Kept getting a text message is this you making this transaction which this has never happened before. I tried 3 times and 3 times i answered the text. I tried calling but they were closed. I was soon umiliated, and embrassed. So how do I get my MO to pay my RENT. So I went to the ATM across the parking lot and guess what I used the card gave me {$1000.00} omg, can someone take the money from the ATM and I can not make a money order which gets traced, but give away my money. How can that happen I would have lost my money. And no not a text message the first But would not give it to me for a tracable item but let it be taken from the ATM.
We purchased a motorcoach RV from a dealership and they secured a loan with Alliant Credit Union. The title was not delivered to the XXXX and we were unable to complete registration. We reached out seeking guidance from the bank on multiple occasions. I have contacted Alliant Credit Union via phone on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX attempting to remedy this situation. The Oregon XXXX mailed XXXX a letter on XX/XX/XXXX requesting title. They did not reply, or support us in any attempt to remedy this situation. There was no title secured for the collateral they put a loan on.
This complaint presents new material information regarding Alliant Credit XXXX servicing of a Home Equity Line of Credit secured by residential property. For background and full documentation of prior issues, please reference CFPB case numbers : XXXX ( closed ) XXXX ( XXXX disclosure discrepancies pending ) XXXX ( systemic accounting concerns pending ) In those complaints, I documented admitted XXXX calculation inconsistencies on multiple periodic statements spanning at least XXXX years, inaccurate payment demands, returned good-faith tender, and unresolved accounting disputes. On XX/XX/year>, Alliant sent me a letter stating that during a routine audit it identified a discrepancy related to annual fees assessed to my HELOC and that a credit had been processed. The letter is addressed generically to Valued Member, which suggests this may reflect a broader portfolio-level issue rather than an isolated account error.…
Systemic HELOC Statement Errors and Obstruction of Cure This complaint presents new material evidence that was not addressed in my prior submission. Since the prior complaint was closed, Alliant Credit Union has admitted errors on multiple HELOC periodic statements, including the XX/XX/XXXX statement, which displayed an APR of 7.00 % and a daily periodic rate corresponding to 7.00 %, while calculating interest and the payment due using 7.25 % for that same billing cycle. These figures do not reconcile from the face of the statement. Under 15 U.S.C. XXXX ( b ) and Regulation XX/XX/XXXXXXXX ( a ) ( XXXX ) ( i ), periodic statements for open-end credit must accurately disclose the APR applicable to the billing cycle. The disclosed APR must reflect the rate actually used to calculate interest for that specific period.…
I am filing a formal complaint against Alliant Credit Union for their failure to adequately investigate a misdirected payment and for allowing a recipient to engage in documented extortion regarding my funds. Transaction Details : Amount : {$60.00} Transaction Date : XX/XX/year> XXXX Transaction ID : # XXXX Recipient : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : Due to a clerical error during a transaction with my barber, {$60.00} was sent to a previous contact, XXXX XXXX XXXX I immediately contacted the recipient and requested a refund through XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX confirmed receipt of the funds but explicitly stated he would only return the money if I removed a negative business review I had previously left for him on a third-party platform. Evidence of Error : I have provided Alliant Credit Union with proof of the duplicate transaction. My account shows two back-to-back charges of {$60.00}, both with the memo " haircut, '' proving the first was an error and the second was the intended payment.…
I started the Loss mitigation process on XX/XX/XXXX. Filled out the application and sent in all docs that were requested. Then i got information that i was missing items or items were not checked on the app, right, So all of this new info was sent to them on XX/XX/XXXX. along with hand-signed paperwork explaining the different items it have sent. Then again, a few days later, after i had to call, ( they won't call right awa, y it will take a week or more ) I am told again for a XXXX time that there are things missing and i need to send them in again.this was again on XX/XX/XXXX. Then again i was told for a XXXX time that things are missing and i have to send them in.I sent in more docs on XX/XX/XXXX. and i called again to ask why it is taking so long. I was told that it is only a 30 day process and that i have gone past that, i was never told of a 30 day time frame. Now after the XXXX time of talking with them, i have sent another email yet again with items they say they need.
I am writing to formally express concern regarding a recent change to the online payment process for my HELOC/mortgage account serviced by Alliant Credit Union XXXX Prior to XX/XX/2026, I was able to make online payments by linking an external bank account, which is a standard and widely accepted practice among mortgage servicers. I have now been informed that, due to what has been described as a website upgrade, external bank accounts are no longer permitted for online payments. Instead, I am required to first transfer funds into an Alliant savings accounta process that takes approximately three business daysbefore making my monthly loan payment.…
This correspondence responds to the XXXX XXXX Notice dated XX/XX/year> regarding the denial of my XXXX XXXX credit card application. Your notice states the decision was based in whole or in part on information obtained from a consumer reporting agency and identifies XXXX as the agency used, along with a disclosed score and adverse factors. The notice lists the principal reasons as : lack of real estate secured loan information ; too few bankcards with high credit limit ; balances on accounts too high compared to credit limits and loan amounts ; and too many bankcards with high balance compared to credit limit. The notice does not state any delinquency, collection activity, bankruptcy, inability to verify identity, income, employment, or residence, nor any membership ineligibility. I am filing a complaint regarding XXXX unauthorized XXXX transactions that were made from my Alliant Credit Union account on XX/XX/year> ( {$1500.00} ), XX/XX/year> ( {$1600.00} ), and XX/XX/year> ( {$800.00} ). I have reopened the dispute multiple times with Alliant, and they continue to deny my claim, even after I submitted documentation showing these transactions were not made by me. I do not have a XXXX account, and I have proof from XXXX showing that my phone was down before and during the time these transactions occurred, as well as XXXX device data showing my phone activity. During this same time, I experienced fraudulent activity in my XXXX XXXX account, which is connected to my Alliant account, and Alliant was fully informed of this. XXXX also confirmed fraudulent activity on my phone account during this period.
I am having an issue opening up a checking and savings account with Alliant Credit Union online. I had an account with Alliant Credit Union I opened back in XX/XX/year> but the account was closed due to Alliant Credit Union not receiving a deposit to open up my checking and savings account. I am now having an issue being able to open up another checking and savings account with Alliant Credit Union.
They said that a a transfer from another bank was frozen and the account from that bank was frozen. Which was not true because I've transferred from that outside bank numerous times with no issues. And I asked why are they blocking my access to my account with them ( Alliant )? I have access to the outside bank and have transferred funds from that one bank that they, Alliant, claims to be the problem, to XXXX other banks with no issues. And once again I have questioned them why I do not have access to the funds in my account and why am I not being allowed to log into my Alliant Credit Union account. The answer is always that the XXXX business bank account that I'm transferring money from is frozen when it is obviously not froze or restricted. The lastest is that Alliant has requested documentation that I am the owner of the business and the business bank account. Which I have done. I have waited several days for an answer and I still have no login access to my personal account.…
Fraudulent inquiries were reported on my credit profile on behalf of transunion by the company XXXX XXXX XXXX Alliant credit. Ive also went as far as to report this matter to the FTC and the reportXX/XX/XXXX is:XX/XX/XXXX. I need these fraudulent inquiries removed from my credit as I never authorized them to begin with! Ive attached my proof and identification needed to have this matter resolved.
In XX/XX/XXXX Alliant Credit Union bought my HELOC from XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Alliant because I was unable to create an online account to make my monthly payment on my HELOC. I was told they website was in a blackout phase, but I could make a payment over the phone. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Alliant Credit Union again because I was having trouble making an online payment. At that time they said I needed my member number to create my online account and said they would send me a new member packet. I again made a payment over the phone. I then received a new member packet in the mail, but it was for another person and included their address and loan information. Alliant also sent me information on a savings account they had opened in my name without my permission. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Alliant Credit Union again as I was trying to create my online account, but had been given the wrong persons information and was unable to create my account to make a payment.…
For my XXXX account, I used a XXXX Bank account for the primary that allowed me to make purchases and receive payments. The account was closed without notice. It has prevented treasury direct from making payments, transfers, and variety of other account and transactional management. I use alliant credit union for debit, checking/savings. It is Completely online without a physical branch. It is also the obvious choice as the replacement primary account for treasury direct. When you open a treasury direct account, it allows you to use any account and routing number. XXXX XXXX or bank. Yet, when you go to change it, you must fill out form XXXX. These forms require a medallion stamp. an older regulation from era when we needed help verifying official documents. as a result, my credit union cant stamp the form. I suppose I could fill out the PDF, email it to them, have them print it stamp it and mail it for me ; yet XXXX says they can not stamp a form in such a way.…
Subject : Formal Complaint : Predatory Lending and Potential Discrimination by Alliant Credit Union To Whom It May Concern, I am filing a formal complaint against Alliant Credit Union for engaging in predatory lending practices, which I believe may constitute unlawful discrimination. On XX/XX/year>, I was seeking financing for a vehicle at XXXX XXXX Indiana. The finance manager presented me with a loan from Alliant Credit Union at an interest rate of 10.69 %. I immediately questioned this rate, citing my lowest credit score of over XXXX. The manager informed me that no other lender would accept my credit and that this was my only option, effectively forcing me into the agreement. This representation was demonstrably false. As an existing member of Alliant, I was aware that their advertised rates for RV loans started at 6.99 % for " well-qualified applicants.…
I am filing this complaint against Alliant Credit Union for failing to maintain accurate credit reporting and for violating several provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). This account ( ending in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) has been reporting inconsistently and inaccurately across all three major credit bureaus for months. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX all display different dates of last update, date of last payment, and even conflicting dispute statuses. Some show Account not disputed, while others show Consumer disputes reinvestigation in progress. These conflicting records clearly violate FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) and 607 ( b ), which require furnishers to report data with maximum accuracy and maintain consistent procedures across repositories. Additionally, Alliant has continued to report the account as Closed / Charged-off / Derogatory, even after multiple disputes since XX/XX/year>.…
In XXXX, I financed a trailer through Alliant Credit Union in XXXX, TX. After more than a year of regular monthly payments, most of each payment is still being applied to interest instead of principal. For example, my XX/XX/XXXX payment was {$560.00}, with {$330.00} going to interest and only {$220.00} to principal, leaving an unusually high balance of about {$40000.00}. I believe this reflects excessive or usurious interest charges and possibly unfair or deceptive loan terms. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a formal written letter to Alliant requesting a full loan audit, explanation of interest calculation, and a temporary forbearance due to my medical condition. I am currently under XXXX treatment with an implanted device and on XXXX XXXX, which has caused financial hardship. Despite my request, the company has not provided any explanation or assistance. I am seeking review and corrective action regarding the interest charges andloanbalance.
In XXXX our XXXX serviced by XXXX XXXX was sold to Alliant Credit Union. We called and tried to make the payment for XXXX to XXXX and couldn't. We then contacted Alliant Credit Union and they said they did not have a loan number yet and that we had a 60 day grace period so we did not need to pay. The grace period ends XX/XX/XXXX. Today we received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX saying if we didn't make the entire payment by XX/XX/XXXX they would begin foreclosure proceedings. We finally got ahold of someone in their collections department that said he could take the payment but could not assure that it wouldn't hurt our credit scores or show a missed mortgage payment times 2. I believe Alliant Credit Union is trying to get borrowers to default on these loans by making it impossible to make a payment and then starting foreclosure proceedings on the unsuspecting borrowers.
To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint regarding a financed transaction involving XX/XX/XXXX ( Dealer ) and Alliant Credit Union ( Creditor ), which appears to be in violation of the Truth in Lending Act ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and associated federal regulations. Received letter that my cd would mature on XXXX and that Alliant Credit Union would automatically renew unless I instruct otherwise. On XX/XX/year>XXXX I called just to advise that I did not want to renew after XXXX but that I wanted to leave the cd in place until that date to receive full interest. Instead, the agent ( XXXX ) moved the amount to a savings account I hold at Alliant. I became upset and demanded she put cd back in place ( again, to prevent loss of full interest ). I do not know what she did, but that amount then disappeared from my savings and that cd no longer appears at all under my accounts with Alliant Credit Union. Demanded a supervisor to rectify situation. Supervisor condescending told me it would take time for the back office to correct XXXX mistake. After demanding higher supervisor, XXXX promised to get it correct by end of day. That did not happen and today she is refusing to speak to me and telling me again to wait out today for results.…
On XX/XX/year>, Alliant Credit Union accessed my savings account without authorization and transferred, {$120.00} from the account towards a car loan account that I also have with them. This car loan is being paid direct payment each month from an external checking account punctually since the inception of the loan. Alliant Credit Union claims that I owed a payment and have repeatedly asked for evidence of that as the loan is being directly debited and paid. They accessed my savings account and made the transfer without my consent or advisement.
I purchased my home in XXXX, XXXX and put 10 % down on the loan which required PMI insurance. When I sold my previous home in XXXX of XXXX, I sent those proceeds to Alliant Credit Union which lowered my XXXX lower than the XXXX % threshold and requested that my PMI be cancelled. I have been going back and forth with Alliant to have the PMI cancelled and they are requiring another appraisal at a cost of {$650.00} to remove the PMI. I spoke with them in XXXX and now again today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) asking why I need the appraisal when my XXXX ratio is at XXXX %, significantly lower than the XXXX % and they couldn't respond only that they would look into it. I've been waiting for their rationale since XXXX and it is now XXXX. I have never missed or been late on a payment since the inception of this loan and feel they are keeping the PMI coverage on my loan in violation of the Homeowners Protection Act of XXXX and need your help resolving this matter.
