" On XX/XX/year>, my vehicle was repossessed by American Honda Finance Corporation ( Honda Financial Services ). I immediately paid the full past-due balance on the same day as the repossession. Despite confirming payment, Honda Financial Services refused to authorize same-day release of my vehicle and customer service representatives stated that no one was available to speak with me regarding the recovery/repossession department. I am being told I must wait XXXX business days for release despite having satisfied the past-due obligation in full. This delay is causing significant hardship as I depend on my vehicle. I am requesting immediate reinstatement authorization and same-day vehicle release. ''

Honda Financial Services is attempting to collect a {$130.00} charge described as a XXXX XXXX, Texas, personal property tax amount related to a closed vehicle lease. I am not refusing to pay a valid charge. I am disputing the balance until Honda Financial Services provides the underlying documentation that explains the basis for the amount they claim I owe. Timeline and actions : XX/XX/XXXX : Honda Financial Services sent me a letter titled Personal Property Tax Assessed stating they paid a property tax amount of {$130.00} to the taxing authority and that this amount would be billed to me. The letter did not include the actual county tax bill/statement, tax year, assessment period, or any supporting documentation. XX/XX/XXXX : I called the payment contact referenced in the notice and requested that Honda Financial Services send me a copy of the XXXX XXXX tax bill/statement. I was told it would be emailed, but it was never provided.…
I am submitting a formal complaint regarding both the conduct of XXXX XXXX XXXX and the handling of my prior complaint. On or about XX/XX/2025, a lease was approved using income information that I did not provide, authorize, or verify. The income listed is materially inaccurate and does not match my actual earnings. I was not provided a copy of the credit application at the time of signing and did not have the opportunity to review or confirm the information submitted. My signature on the lease does not validate false or misleading financial information. Under California XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ( b ) ( XXXX ), a contract may be rescinded where consent was obtained through fraud, misrepresentation, or mistake. Under California XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX, a licensed dealer has a duty to avoid false or misleading statements and to maintain accurate records in connection with vehicle transactions.…
I took a loan out through Honda financial with my son cosigning and this was in XX/XX/XXXX. I paid off the loan in XX/XX/XXXX. I never really looked at my credit report for years but noticed recently that Honda financial never put that loan on my credit report and the reason Im upset is because I was never late with one payment -not even one- I paid it on time every single month for 4 years! My credit report is so eager and quick to put bad things on my credit but when I actually deserve points for paying on time, I dont get any positiveness from that. In fact, Honda financial is not listed on my credit report at all. Im the one that paid the monthly payments every month, not my son.
America Honda Finance Reported late payments after I had purchased my XXXX XXXX after the end of the XXXX ( XX/XX/year> ) I had been unknowingly sending payments to Honda XXXX department for months, and the mistake was not rectified until they threatened to repossess the vehicle. I settled the account lump sum and have been continuing payments. Honda Finance XXXX Department returned the money that I was paying to the other account. Because I was making monthly payments to Honda, and it was an internal accounting error I do not believe this should affect my credit score.
I am filing a formal complaint against Honda Financial Services regarding the handling of a vehicle lease, including misrepresentation at the time of sale, failure to respond to documented disputes, and the imposition of excessive and unjustified charges. At the inception of the lease, I made it explicitly clear that my intention was to ultimately purchase the vehicle. During the transaction, I was informed that my down payment would function similarly to a security deposit, which materially influenced my decision to proceed. I now believe this characterization was misleading and inaccurate. Additionally, approximately XXXX months prior to the lease maturity, I attempted to exercise a buyout option through the dealership ( XXXX XXXX ). The dealership refused to facilitate the buyout. I subsequently contacted Honda Financial Services to report this issue and request assistance.…
I am submitting this complaint regarding the unjust repossession of my vehicle by American Honda Finance ( XXXX ). I am XXXX XXXX, residing at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NJ, XXXX. My contact is XXXX, phone number XXXX, and the complaint is submitted on XX/XX/year>. Despite having invested over {$20000.00} into my vehicle, I was shocked when AHFC repossessed it for an outstanding balance of only {$5600.00}. Moreover, I am currently in a bankruptcy proceeding, and I am unsure if I reaffirmed the loan, but I consistently made payments and never missed a beat. AHFC did not give me an opportunity to cure the default before taking this drastic action. After all these payments, it is unacceptable that they seized the car for a balance far higher than what I actually owedmy true balance was just {$1300.00}. I tried contacting AHFC 4 to 5 times to escalate this issue and speak with a supervisor, but I was never given that opportunity.…
I requested to Honda Financial that they update and report the payments made on my credit. My on time payment history has not been reported since XXXX of XXXX. When I called Honda Financial they advised that they went through a system upgrade and stopped reporting any credit reporting for all consumers. They asked that I submit a formal request which I did and nothing has been done. The balance of my loan still shows the same and has not updated since the origination of the loan. This shows negatively on my debt to income ratio and has negative implications long term.
On or about XX/XX/year>, a lease was approved using income information that I did not provide or verify. The income listed is materially inaccurate and does not match my actual earnings, as shown by my check stubs. I was not provided a copy of the credit application at the time of signing, and I later discovered the inflated income after reviewing documents. I have requested copies of the credit application, proof of income used, and deal documents, but have not received full transparency. This lease approval was based on inaccurate financial information, resulting in an obligation that would not have been approved under my true income. I am requesting a full investigation into how this information was entered and used, and appropriate correction or resolution of the account.
I am writing regarding the payment activity on my account dated XX/XX/2026. A payment in the amount of {$60000.00} was made and reflected as received ; however, it was subsequently reversed. This payment was issued in connection with a total loss claim through my insurance company. I do have active insurance coverage, including XXXX XXXX, and the expectation was that the vehicle would be paid off through this claim. Instead, the payment was reversed, and I am now being held responsible for two additional months of payments, while also being expected to continue paying monthly insurance on your end. This is extremely concerning. From my perspective, this feels like an attempt to collect additional funds beyond what should be owed in a total loss situation, which I believe is unfair.…
The agency says I owe them {$4100.00} and they're going to repossess my car to sell it. I called them to discuss a payment plan because I stopped making payments due to a family member 's death and lost work hours. They told me they didn't care and that they should send a tow truck to take the car I've been paying for for a year with high interest rates, not caring about leaving me without a car.
This is an aggressive follow-up to my complaint regarding the repossession of my vehicle. I have not received a meaningful response or any serious effort to address or resolve this matter. This lack of action is unacceptable. The repossession is formally disputed due to improper notice and failure to comply with required legal procedures. Your continued delay and inadequate response raise serious concerns about compliance and good faith handling of this matter. I am demanding an immediate and thorough response explaining the basis for the repossession and the actions taken.

This account has been in an active written dispute since XX/XX/XXXX, when I sent my first demand for contract validation, disclosure clarification, and removal of unauthorized add-ons related to the financing of my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX ). On XX/XX/XXXX, the dealerships attorney issued a response, but it did not resolve the core issues raised. It simply repeated their position without providing the documentation I specifically requested. Since then from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX I continued sending written letters demanding validation and raising concerns about unfair terms, bundled add-ons, and lack of proper disclosures. Despite the clear and ongoing dispute, on XX/XX/XXXX, my vehicle was repossessed without ANY Right to Cure notice, no warning, and no legally required opportunity to reinstate or bring the account current.…
I am filing this complaint regarding an account being reported by American Honda Finance Corporation on my credit reports. The account is currently being reported as a charged-off account, and I have serious concerns about the accuracy and verification of the information being furnished. There appear to be inconsistencies in the information being reported across credit reporting agencies. For example, the high credit amount being reported differs between bureaus, while the current balance being reported exceeds the high credit amount listed on XXXX report. This raises concerns about the accuracy and reliability of the data being furnished. Additionally, the account lists a Date of First Major Delinquency of XX/XX/2026 while the account shows activity and delinquency history prior to that time. This discrepancy raises concerns that the delinquency timeline may not be reported accurately.…
Complaint Against : Honda Financial Services I am submitting this complaint regarding the handling of my auto loan account for my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. My vehicle was recently repossessed after I fell behind on payments due to financial hardship. I understand my responsibility for the missed payments and I have been actively trying to resolve the situation and bring my account back into good standing. I would also like to note that this is the first time I have ever experienced an issue like this. I have been a Honda customer since XXXX, during which time I have had two leases with Honda and consistently made my payments on time without issue. My prior payment history demonstrates that I have always made a good-faith effort to meet my financial obligations. When I contacted the company to discuss options, I was informed that the only way to reinstate the loan and recover my vehicle was to pay {$2400.00} in full immediately.…
I am filing this complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) for unfair and deceptive financial practices. This product was sold to me as " XXXX XXXX '' at the time of my vehicle purchase, but XXXX is now attempting to avoid its contractual obligations by reclassifying it as a debt waiver to bypass state insurance regulations. XXXX is utilizing an internally inconsistent and retroactive calculation to maintain a factually incorrect deficiency balance of {$1900.00} on my account. Despite a signed letter from their counsel ( dated XX/XX/XXXX ) claiming a " thorough review, '' their own provided evidence reveals XXXX critical contractual breaches : Contractual Deception : The GAP Addendum ( Page XXXX ) defines Actual Cash Value ( ACV ) as the retail value " adjusted for mileage. '' XXXX acknowledged my vehicle had XXXX miles but explicitly marked the mandatory adjustment as " N/A '' on XXXX XXXX of their response, artificially inflating the vehicle 's value to reduce their payout.…

Complaint Against : Honda Financial Services Consumer : XXXX XXXX Account Number : XXXX Vehicle VIN : XXXX My vehicle financed through Honda Financial Services was repossessed and sold on XX/XX/year>. As of today, I have not received the required post-sale accounting identifying the vehicle sale price, repossession fees, storage fees, auction costs, application of proceeds, or the calculation of any alleged deficiency balance. Despite the collateral being sold, Honda Financial Services continues to report the full original loan balance on my credit reports. This reporting is inaccurate and misleading because the balance should reflect the proceeds from the sale of the vehicle and any remaining deficiency. I have contacted Honda Financial Services in writing requesting the required post-sale accounting and correction of the inaccurate credit reporting but have received no response.…

I am filing this formal complaint against American Honda Finance Corporation ( AHFC ) for a severe, ongoing violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and a critical failure of their internal data furnishing protocols. I hold an active, open auto loan with AHFC. However, upon reviewing my statutory XXXX credit report, I discovered that AHFC completely ceased reporting my account data after XXXX 2024. In XXXX 2024, AHFC transmitted a null/zero balance to the bureau and then completely abandoned the data feed. Consequently, XXXX erroneously marked this active account as " CLOSED. '' As evidenced by the attached XX/XX/XXXX2026 billing statement, AHFC has continued to successfully collect my {$550.00} monthly payments for the past 17 months, but has completely failed to furnish this positive payment history to the credit bureaus.…
On XX/XX/XXXX, my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was stolen and declared a total loss. XXXX XXXX issued a payment of {$36000.00} to American Honda Finance on XX/XX/XXXX. Despite this, Honda Financial continued billing the account, reported it as past due/default, and has refused to provide a written total loss payoff, payoff calculation, confirmation of insurance payment application, or full account history. I am requesting written confirmation of the payoff amount, proof of how the insurance funds were applied, confirmation that the account is properly closed ( or remaining balance if any ), and correction of any negative reporting related to this total loss.
Subject : Coercive Tactics, Deceptive Inducement, and Systemic Servicing Failure Description : I am filing this complaint to report a pattern of predatory collection tactics and systemic misinformation by American Honda Finance between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. 1. Deceptive Inducement ( XX/XX/XXXX ) : Supervisor XXXX induced a payment of {$910.00} by promising to " revisit '' and review my account for a deferment once payment cleared. Relying on this, I paid my emergency medical funds while recovering from a XXXX XXXX XXXX. 2. Coercion & False Deadlines ( XX/XX/XXXX ) : Supervisor XXXX called and stated a deferment was denied. She claimed a " due date change '' was the ONLY option and insisted it had to be done that day to be valid. This was a coercive tactic to force a contract change under duress. 3.…

My response to American Honda Finance RE : SECOND FORMAL DEMAND FOR PROOF OF CLAIM, VALIDATION OF ALLEGED DEBT, AND FULL IDENTIFICATION To Whom It May Concern : This correspondence supplements my prior presentment and now formally challenges the alleged debt and your failure to validate the same according to law.
