I lost my home in a fire over 70 days ago. Ive been camping on my property waiting for some of my insurance claim to come through so i can rent an apartment, basically improve my quality of life. Dealing with the XXXX insurance isn't fun but it must be endured. I received a check for about XXXX. I deposited it and was told that it would be placed on a hold. They gave me a deposit receipt showing that XXXX would be released today XX/XX/XXXX and the remainder will be released Friday XX/XX/XXXX. At no point have i received a text, email, app notification, letter or any other notice that the Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX deposit was discontinued. This has put me in a further financial bind, and i feel that the Tuesday deposit was rescinded because I had complained online about the poor customer service I received at Bank of America. This feels retaliatory.
Bank of America overdrafted my account due to a dispute that I actually won with XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX agreed to the refund. But Bank of American did some proccess refund nonsense that has now overdrafted my account XXXX. They also keep taking out maintence fees when I have no money. They purposely put me in the red.
I " am filing a complaint regarding Bank of Americas failure to honor a promotional bonus associated with my checking account. On XX/XX/year>, I opened a Bank of America Advantage SafeBalance Banking account. At the time of account opening, a promotional bonus offer was applied to my account ( Confirmation No. XXXX ), and I retain documentation confirming this. I received email that says " XXXX Bonus offer applied '' on XXXX XXXX, 2025. I fulfilled the requirements of the promotion, including funding the account. By approximately XX/XX/year>, my account balance reached {$10000.00}, satisfying the funding requirement and stayed over {$10000.00} untill XX/XX/XXXX or later. I contacted the bank multiple times regarding the promotional bonus timeline. During these communications, I was instructed to wait the standard processing period ( approximately 90 days plus an additional review period of up to 60 days ). I followed these instructions and waited the full stated timeframe.…
On XX/XX/scrub> 2026, I received XXXX phone calls from Bank of America representatives responding to my escalated complaints. During these recorded interactions, Bank of America XXXX XXXX explicitly admitted to having already recovered my disputed funds from the merchant weeks ago. Despite this recovery, Bank of America is deliberately withholding my funds, refusing to credit my account, and continuing to assess punitive overdraft and maintenance fees against my business. Incident XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXXXX/XX/XXXX CT ) Representative : XXXX XXXX ( XXXX Complaint Response Team / Phone : XXXX ) Admission of Delay : XXXX explicitly admitted that Bank of America has possessed all of my required dispute documentation, including the merchant authorization and chargeback letter, " for weeks. I called in and verified I needed to follow the link to open the account. The promotion code is in the header of the page you click on : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I was told it isn't necessary to enter the code anywhere else. As you can see from Screenshot 141 it shows the bonus offer was applied. I completed all required items necessary for the bonus. I included additional screenshots as proof of following as directed.
I made a deposit on XX/XX/year>. I was informed the deposit was on hold until XX/XX/year> due to suspicion the check would be returned. I opened the account 4 months ago. Almost every deposit to the account was made from the same XXXX XXXX account owned by my husband. NEVER HAS A CHECK BEEN RETURNED FOR INSUFFICIENT FUNDS. We went to a Bank of America branch twice. We have proven not only did the check clear on XX/XX/year>, but there is {$33000.00} in the account. No one could help us. We kept getting referred to the XXXX number. I have spoken to many customer service people at Bank Of America and they say nothing can be done. This is a complete scam. There is no reason for them to withhold the money. I cant believe this is even legal. All our house expenses are auto paid from this account and they are being declined. There is NO WAY this is legal. I just want my deposit bank so I can close the account and get my money away from the criminals at Bank of America.
On or around XX/XX/year>, Bank of America placed a debit hold/offset between my linked accounts and removed approximately {$1400.00} from one account to cover a negative balance in another account. This was done without prior notice or warning to me. The funds taken were the money I had set aside to cover my rent and essential living expenses. Because of this offset, I no longer have access to the funds needed for housing and I have already received a 5-day notice regarding my rent. I contacted Bank of America multiple times and spoke with customer service representatives and management requesting hardship assistance, partial release of funds, or any possible accommodation due to the housing hardship this created. I was repeatedly told there was nothing they could do and that the offset was valid.…
I am under contract, with XXXX XXXX XXXX, for a house that is new construction. My financing is with XXXX and advised in XXXX, that they would hold my XXXX XXXX interest rate until the house was ready, as it is new construction. It's now XXXX, and the house is still not ready. However, XXXX has advised that Bank of America can no longer hold my interest rate. What are my options, because it seems like XXXX is failing to hold their part of the agreement. Also XXXX XXXX still hasn't finished the property after XXXX years.
I was on 3 months forbearance. I payed more then 50 percent of my balance and applied for forbearance extension. I was told that I said to the teller that I could not afford my monthly payment and therefore was not eligible. This was not true and is putting my mortgage at risk. I applied for hay past due amount to be split into my monthly payments to allow me to catch up. They told me that I was edible but have to wait 5 days. I don't wamt my house and risk and feel agent error is why I was denied Ann extension on forbearance and might be the reason why I might be denied for my payment agreement.
I applied for a Bank of America credit card through their official website, specifically attracted by a {$200.00} cash reward bonus promotion for new cardholders. During the application process, I was prompted to pay a {$99.00} security deposit, which I paid in full to open the account, believing I was eligible for the bonus. However, after the account was opened, I was informed by a representative that my card is a " partially secured card '' and therefore does not qualify for the {$200.00} bonus. At no point during the application or the deposit payment process was it clearly disclosed that this specific card would be excluded from the promotion This is a classic case of " Bait-and-Switch '' marketing. The bank used the {$200.00} bonus offer to entice me into applying and paying a security deposit, only to deny the benefit after the transaction was completed. If the card was ineligible for the bonus, the offer should not have been displayed during my application process.…
This is related to previous complaint- XXXX. Big problem is that bank is totally not supporting but playing dumb game when trying to make confusion and basically denying every support. I have provided all the support documentation and ready for cooperation. Bank asking for example loan info where loan information as a lender bank should have but no problem I can provide and my personal information, such a ssn, id etc. Also bank simply should have that as well. I have leased XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX for XXXX years. After lease period end successfully returned to dealership named XXXX XXXX. I found auto loan related issues when Bank of America collection department started calling me to collect a loan which is reached the charge off state from amount {$24000.00} to {$26000.00} when I contacted the loan issuer bank XXXX Bank of America ) I was informed that loan signed by me and under my responsibility but I have never signed any paperwork.…

Bank of America ( BoA ) have a promotional offer for their XXXX XXXX XXXX visa Infinite card that promotes " a Limited-time online offer : XXXX bonus points + a 50 % flight discount code. '' I applied and was recently approved for this card and subsequently learned that they had not disclose the incredibly restrictive rules around the 50 % flight coupon which include : Discount can not be used on flights before XXXX. Discount code must be used by XXXX. Flights must be completed by XXXX. Other black outs exist including fare class, destination, code share. In effect this code is only good for a three month window, not every flight or seat in that window and most importantly, that window doesn't open immediately but rather opens in over four months. The combination of these factors renders the discount pretty much useless. There is no way I would have applied for this card had i know these incredibly restrictive conditions.…
I requested a meaningful hardship review and clear information regarding available assistance options based on my current financial situation. Instead of providing this, I have repeatedly received the same generic responses from different representatives, including being sent copies of my cardmember agreement by mail, which does not address my requests or provide any resolution. I was also contacted by a representative identified as XXXX XXXX, however the interaction did not result in any meaningful assistance or new information. The call appeared procedural in nature and did not address my hardship, provide options, or move toward a resolution. This reinforces my concern that my account is not being individually reviewed and that responses are being handled in a standardized, non-substantive manner.…
I am filing a formal complaint against Bank of America regarding what I believe to be an unfair and inaccurate reduction of my credit limit, which has negatively impacted my credit profile. My original credit limit was significantly higher, and at the time I was utilizing less than 30 % of that limit. Despite my responsible usage and consistent payment history, Bank of America reduced my credit limit to an amount near or equal to my current balance. This action now falsely reflects that I am overutilizing my credit, which is not an accurate representation of my financial behavior. This change has caused my credit report to reflect high utilization, giving the impression that I am overspending or financially overextended. This is misleading and damaging, particularly because my usage was well within acceptable thresholds prior to the reduction.…
On XX/XX/year>, I went to a Bank of America ATM to withdraw {$1000.00} and {$600.00}. I only received the XXXX But my XXXX account showed that I received both sums. I disputed the transaction but Bank of America says they provided proof to XXXX claiming I received both sums. Neither institution has provided any documentation that proves I received the money. I am filing a police report to obtain footage, but figured this way may work as well.
I am filing this complaint regarding collection activity by XXXX XXXX involving a Bank of America account that has been charged off. I received communication from XXXX XXXX attempting to collect a balance of approximately {$13000.00} related to this account. However, I have also received communication from another collection agency, XXXX XXXX XXXX, regarding the same underlying debt, which raises serious concerns about duplicate collection activity and lack of clear ownership. At this time, I have not been provided with documentation sufficient to establish : That XXXX XXXX is the current legal owner of the debt That it has authority to collect on behalf of the current owner The full chain of assignment from the original creditor The involvement of multiple collection agencies for the same balance creates uncertainty regarding : Who owns the debt Whether multiple parties are attempting to collect simultaneously Whether the debt has been properly transferred
I opened a fraud case with Bank of America on XX/XX/year> and received a letter on XX/XX/year>, stating that they couldn't approve my claim. The next day, I sent all the information to XXXX, and they approved my claim. I talked with somebody on XX/XX/XXXX. In 2026, they will get back with me in three days, and still waiting.
Hello, My husband and I submitted multiple forms for XXXX XXXX to the XXXX at the beginning of XX/XX/year>, and soon after, on XX/XX/XXXX we went to the Bank of America XXXX in XXXX XXXX to inform them about the XXXX upcoming charges ( {$670.00}, {$1400.00} and {$260.00} ) on my debit card for which we have authorization to XXXX via their official form XXXX XXXX XXXX did so because XXXX has a strict policy of rejecting applicants ' cases if the payment doesn't go through for whatever reason. At the BoA branch they told us there will be no problems with the upcoming charges or that I might just receive an SMS to approve the transaction. They also advised to call their card department ( at XXXX ) to double check which we did and the lady on the phone told us exactly the same. Couple of weeks later, on XX/XX/XXXX the XXXX attempted to make the XXXX charges for which I did receive an sms to approve.…
I am writing to formally request debt validation for a collection account mentioned in a letter I recently received. Under my rights through the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), I ask that your office provide clear proof that the debt is valid. This should include the name of the original creditor, the amount owed, a full payment record, and proof that I am responsible for this debt. I am making this request to ensure the information being reported is accurate and not the result of a mistake, fraud, or confusion. While waiting for proper validation, I ask that you pause all collection activity and reporting related to this account, as allowed by law.
On XX/XX/XXXX someone hacked my XXXX account. They tried to charge my default credit card, a Bank of America business card, but the company recognized it as a default charge. They then went and charged another Bank of America XXXX card I had already canceled with Bank of America and Bank of America let the charge go through. I immediately notified bank of America it was a fraudulent charge and they froze the charge. They have since multiple times told me they will not reimburse me. I have since paid because in order to avoid credit dings, I have my accounts set up to auto-pay. I previously had been told I would not be charged until it was resolved. I received no notification and was just charged. I am attaching proof that I have never charged that much from my XXXX account ever and BoA personal should have recognized this, as my business XX/XX/XXXX card did. Most importantly, they should not allow charges to go through on a canceled credit card.…
I have three credit cards with Bank of America. This complaint relates to my travel credit card, which had a balance of less than {$60.00} and was rarely used. I believed my credit cards were enrolled in autopay based on prior setup with the bank. However, I was later informed that autopay was not active on this account. I did not receive clear alerts or notifications that the payment was overdue. I regularly receive text alerts from the bank and expected to be notified of a serious delinquency, but I was not. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted the bank regarding this account. During that call, I made a full payment to bring the account current. I was told autopay was not active and requested that it be set up again at that time. At no point during this call was I informed that the account had been closed on XX/XX/XXXX. Today, XX/XX/year>, I was informed during a call that the account had been closed on XX/XX/XXXX.…
I am formally disputing the validity of the alleged collection and charge-off account being reported under my name. This letter serves as a request for full debt validation pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) 15 U.S.C. 1692g ( b ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 15 U.S.C. 1681i. I do not acknowledge this debt as valid. Before any further reporting, collection activity, or communication regarding this account continues, I am requesting that you provide the following : Verification of the debt, including the original signed contract or agreement bearing my signature. The complete payment history and itemized breakdown showing how the alleged balance was calculated. Proof of your legal authority to collect or report this debt, including a copy of any assignment or purchase agreement from the original creditor. The name, address, and contact information of the original creditor for proper verification.
I am submitting a formal complaint against Bank of America regarding inaccurate credit reporting and failure to reasonably address my payment situation. I have been making consistent monthly payments of {$460.00}, but recently, due to financial difficulties, I have only been able to pay {$250.00} toward my account. Although the required payment is higher ( approximately {$460.00} ), I contacted Bank of America to explain my financial hardship and requested that they work with me on a reduced payment plan. Despite my good-faith effort and ongoing payments, they refused to accommodate my situation. As a result, Bank of America has reported missed or late payments to the credit bureaus, which has negatively impacted my credit score. I believe this reporting is unfair and does not accurately reflect my consistent efforts to repay the debt. The total amount in dispute is approximately {$2700.00} or less.…
On XX/XX/XXXX I put in a transfer from my Bank of America checking account to my XXXX XXXX account in the amount of {$8000.00} as a contribution for XXXX. ( For clarity, a previous wire on XX/XX/XXXX for {$8000.00} from BoA to XXXX XXXX was for the XXXX contribution ). The funds sent XX/XX/XXXX never arrived. I opened a claim with BoA on XX/XX/XXXX when doing my taxes and realized the missing funds. Instead of correcting the routing error to the XXXX XXXX as a contribution for XXXX, BoA erroneously credited the {$8000.00} to my BoA checking account. I am formally rejecting this credit and attempt at resolution. First, this creates a tax liability as it looks like I took a distribution, which I did not. Second, it also does not credit the amount to the year XXXX, and would therefore not allow the maximum contribution I am allowed because of their error. Finally, because the money was missing from my account for one year, it did not gain the earnings it would have.…
URGENT : Systematic Financial Exclusion and Personal/Professional Damage due to Inaccurate Bank Reporting . Description of the issue I am writing this complaint with a deep sense of frustration and emotional distress. For years, I have been a responsible entrepreneur ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and a loyal banking customer, maintaining a credit score of XXXX to XXXX. Today, I find myself financially paralyzed, my reputation destroyed, and my future at risk because of the unfair and unexplained actions of Bank of america. The bank closed my long-standing personal accounts and my recently opened business account without any prior notice or opportunity to defend myself. This was triggered by " friendly fraud '' from malicious clients who filed false disputes on XXXX payments for legitimate goods and services I provided. Instead of protecting me the victim the bank decided to treat me like a criminal.…

Bank of America has changed their auto pay feature to only allow minimum payments, not other fixed amounts. This results in two things, higher potential interest charges, or accidental missed payments. For someone like me who has only a promotional balance, it requires me to manually pay the fixed amount I had budgeted for every month. If I ever miss it, then I am sure my promotional balance would be subjected to full interest fees. If I select a fixed amount for a one time payment, then ask to have it reoccurring, it removes the fixed amount and forces me to select either full balance or the minimum payment. This is very sneaky, and only done to benefit Bank of America.
Dear XXXX XXXX XXXX I am writing to formally file a complaint against XXXX XXXX regarding a significant and unresolved discrepancy in my brokerage account balance, which has materially impacted my ability to access and utilize my funds. Over the past two days, I have contacted XXXX XXXX customer service on five separate occasions in good faith to report that my account balance is understated by more than {$200000.00}. Despite these repeated efforts, the issue remains unresolved, and I have not been provided with a clear explanation or a definitive timeline for correction. The firm has attributed the discrepancy to a technical problem, but has failed to remedy the situation promptly. As a direct result of this issue, I have been unable to execute time-sensitive trades, including day trading opportunities, resulting in financial harm and missed profit potential.…

I have interest bearing account with Bank Of America number XXXX. Ive never received the interest on my account and there are many high dollar unauthorized fees charged to this account. Bank of America is withholding {$100.00} from my available balance following a canceled XXXX order from XX/XX/XXXX. I canceled the order on XX/XX/XXXX, but the bank claims a refund was issued on XX/XX/XXXX three days before the cancellation occurred which is mathematically impossible. My official XXXX statement ( Page 4 ) proves that this transaction never posted as a charge, yet the funds were never restored to my available balance. My running balance history shows a clear {$100.00} gap that the bank 's automated systems have failed to sync. I have contacted Bank of America via phone and social media and they continue to provide conflicting, false information. I am requesting a manual ledger audit and the immediate release of this stale authorization hold.
I am filing a complaint against Bank of America regarding my auto loan servicing. I previously set up a payoff/payment for my vehicle loan. The payment was not successfully processed, but I did not receive effective and timely notice that the payoff/payment failed. Bank of America customer service later stated that paper notices were mailed, but I did not receive meaningful notice until approximately XXXX years later, when I received a recent paper letter stating that the loan was delinquent and that additional interest, late fees, and towing/repossession-related fees had been added. I have reviewed the bank account that I used for the payoff/payment at that time and confirmed that the account was active, in good standing, and had sufficient available funds to cover the payoff amount.…
