We traveled to XXXX XXXX in XXXX of XXXX and visited a XXXX XXXX Vacations and attended a timeshare presentation. The payment for attending was a {$200.00} gift card. We were not aware the gift card expired in less than a year ( XX/XX/XXXX ). When we went to use a few weeks ago we realized the card was expired. When I called the # on the back ( Myprepaidcenter.com ), to get a new card and date I was told the card was not eligible but not given a reason. I was just told to register the card to see the terms and conditions, but I could not register the card as it was expired. After numerous attempts with different reps, I've become frustrated and going this route as I'm aware of Federal Gift Card Protections ( Credit CARD Act of XXXX ). The gift card amount is for {$200.00} and is a Visa Gift card.

I purchased XXXX prepaid visa gift cards on XX/XX/XXXX. I placed an online order and immediately cancelled the order, never picked it up and the funds was withdrawn from the prepaid card in error as the merchant confirmed that payment should never have been processed until the merchandise was picked up. Blackhawk Network regarding an unjustified block placed on my prepaid card issued as part of the XX/XX/XXXXdata breach settlement. I received this prepaid card with an approximate balance of {$220.00}. However, my card has been blocked, and I have been unable to access my funds. I was instructed to verify my identity, which I complied with by submitting clear photos of myself holding my government-issued photo identification, as requested. Despite fully completing the verification process, my card remains blocked and my funds are still being withheld without clear explanation or resolution. This situation is unacceptable, as these funds rightfully belong to me, and I have already met all requirements to regain access.
On or around XX/XX/XXXX of this year I went to use a {$500.00} visa gift card and XXXX XXXX in XXXX, WA. I opened the packaging of the card at the store and tried to use it but it would not go through. I checked the balance on their website and a note said the card had been replaced. I contacted the company via phone and they initiated an investigation process. They asked for all information within XXXX business days. I provided purchase receipt and picture of the card front and back, plus a picture of the package with barcode. That was on XX/XX/XXXX. Their email said they would respond within XXXX hours of receiving the information. I followed up with another email on XX/XX/XXXX and still no response. As this was the first time the card was opened it is only possible that the breach was on their end.
I have a prepaid {$100.00} XXXX gift card issued by Blackhawk Network ( XXXX XXXXXXXX ). When I recently checked the balance, only {$33.00} remained. However, there is no transaction history available showing how or where the funds were used. Additionally, the card has never been successfully used for any completed transaction. I attempted to resolve this directly with the issuer by calling XXXX on XX/XX/year>. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to reach a customer service representative because the system did not provide an option to speak with an agent. I also attempted to seek assistance via the issuers website, but again, I was unable to access a CSR. As a result, I can not obtain a transaction ledger or investigate the missing funds. This represents both a balance discrepancy and a lack of access to account records, which I understand are required for prepaid financial products.…

On XX/XX/year>, the company notified me that I WON the dispute and a replacement card would be sent to my address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, UT XXXX. The cards are advertised to work anywhere that Visa Debit is accepted. This is false advertising, though it wasn't always the case. I've used these cards at XXXX XXXX for years, until they suddenly stopped working 5 months ago. Blackhawk refuses to explain why that was, or when this " temporary '' problem will be over. I don't want to, and never intended to use the cards at any other place, and Blackhawk has refused to give me a refund.

I received a {$50.00} XXXX gift card in XXXX as a gift. The card ending in XXXX shows an expiration date of XX/XX/XXXX. Shortly after receiving the card, I spent an extended period abroad and was therefore unable to use it. When I recently returned to the United States and attempted to use the card, I discovered that the balance had been reduced to {$0.00} due to inactivity fees. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted the customer service number listed for the card ( XXXX ) on XXXX separate occasions to inquire about the balance and whether the funds could be restored. During these calls, I received inconsistent information from representatives regarding the card balance and possible remedies. Issue : Failure to reissue settlement funds/ Incorrectly reporting check as cashed I am filing this complaint regarding a {$10000.00} settlement check issued to me by Blackhawk Network. The check was mailed directly to my home address. The back of the check clearly states No Third Party Endorsement. On XX/XX/year>, the check was physically deposited at XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank. The bank rejected the check due to the No Third Party Endorsement restriction and did not release any funds. I have obtained a copy of the front and back of the check. The reverse side shows signatures only and does not show a bank of first deposit stamp, clearing stamp, or proof of negotiation. Despite this, Blackhawk representatives have stated that the check has already been cashed and have refused to reissue payment. I have not received any of the {$10000.00} funds. No bank has disbursed funds to me. I am requesting that Blackhawk either : 1.…
Product : Prepaid card / Gift card Issue : Funds expired / card balance forfeited after valid thru date ; requesting replacement card / restoration of funds Complaint narrative : I am filing a complaint regarding two gift cards that were never used, but the company is refusing to honor the balances because the cards are past a valid thru date and state that funds are forfeited after the valid thru date. I have two cards : Card 1 : {$250.00} XXXX XXXX 2 : {$150.00} XXXX Total value : {$400.00} These cards were never used for any purchase. I recently attempted to use/check the balances and was informed that the funds are forfeited solely because the cards are past the printed valid thru date. I believe it is unfair and unreasonable for the company to keep my money when no value was redeemed, and I am requesting a resolution that restores the full balances. Cards are unused, no redemption, I am not asking for extra money, just the original stored value.…

This is a new request concerning previous casXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. I sent two previous letter that were unanswered by XXXX and then filed the above-referenced complaint to the CFPB. That is untrue as I have checked my XXXX account and there is no transaction on that date and in that amount. In addition, I am supplying a screenshot from XXXXXXXX XXXX website reflecting that the balance on the card is now {$0.00}, just as I reported. I wrote to Blackhawk Network XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, NV XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX ( after unsuccessfully trying to reach some XXXX by phone ) concerning the reduction amount of my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX funded with the proceeds of a class action settlement from XXXX XXXX. The settlement amount was {$27.00}, yet the debit card that was provided to me has a balance of only {$0.00}. I did not ask for nor was the card sent with any expedited shipping or processing. Thus, I was at a loss to understand where the majority of the {$27.00} settlement balance went and I demanded that Blackhawk provide a full explanation so I might understand what happened here or that Blackhawk update my balance to the full {$27.00} settlement amount. The XX/XX/XXXX was not answered so I sent a follow up letter on XX/XX/XXXX and that letter was also not answered.
I filed multiple disputes in XX/XX/XXXX with Blackhawk Network regarding some XXXX gift cards that I purchased from them that were compromised by scammers. I was notified on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX months later, that I won all of my disputes totaling {$750.00}, and would be issued a check by mail within XXXX business days. That is absurd, I needed those gift cards for a good reason and have been out {$750.00} for XXXX months already, now they want me to wait for a check in the mail. I have bills turned off because of this situation. They need to reissue my cards
This dispute involves a {$50.00} loss due to systemic security and XXXX failures by XXXX XXXX. XXXX. Initial XXXX ( XXXXXXXX XXXX ) : The original card was found to be fully drained upon receipt. Transaction history showed the funds were spent in XXXXXXXX XXXX while the card was physically in my possession in XXXXXXXX XXXX. This was a clear case of " gift card draining '' due to the company 's inadequate packaging/security. XXXX. Technical Failure of Replacement : After a replacement was issued, I followed the company 's instructions : I first called the automated line, which directed me to the website. The website ( XXXX ) repeatedly returned server-side error codes XXXX and XXXX, then told me to call the phone number. I have a prepaid Visa gift card issued by XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX with a remaining balance of approximately {$75.00}. UPDATE TO PREVIOUS COMPLAINT XXXX XXXXXXXX My previous complaint ( filed XX/XX/XXXX ) was closed because Blackhawk Network promised to assist me. They have failed to do so. Instead, they have engaged in deceptive delay tactics and violated federal law. This is a NEW complaint regarding their conduct * after * the previous case was closed. THE SHORT VERSION : I reported {$110.00} in fraud on XX/XX/XXXX. It is now XX/XX/XXXX. Not only have I received no refund, but XXXX just told me in writing that I should expect to wait " XXXX to XXXX days. '' Federal law ( Regulation XXXX ) mandates a XXXX resolution. They know this. They don't care. THE " CASE CHURNING '' SCHEME ( New Evidence ) : On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX arbitrarily CLOSED my active dispute case ( XXXX XXXXXXXX ) and immediately OPENED a new XXXX ( XXXX XXXXXXXX ) for the exact same issue. - Why? To reset the " Days Open '' metric. - Result : When regulators audit them, this looks like a " new '' case.…

I am filing a complaint regarding a fraudulent transaction on a XXXX prepaid gift card purchased from XXXX and issued/managed by GiftCardMall ( Blackhawk Network ) . I purchased a {$200.00} XXXX gift card from XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. The card was shipped to me and remained unused while I saved it for a planned trip in XX/XX/XXXX. When I received the card, the magnetic strip was damaged during opening, and I attempted to contact customer service regarding replacement, but no resolution was provided. I ultimately activated the card on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, just XXXX days after activation, a fraudulent charge of {$190.00} was made to a merchant listed as XXXX XXXX. I did not authorize this transaction, did not use the card myself, and had no knowledge of the charge at the time. The card was effectively drained immediately after activation. Because I was saving the card for a future trip, I did not check the balance until XX/XX/XXXX.…
I received settlement funds from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX via an XXXX issued by Blackhawk Network ( BHN ). The payment was marked as successfully delivered, but BHN subsequently blocked the card and denied access to the funds. BHN informed me that access to the funds is contingent upon submission of a government-issued photo ID through their system. Due to identity theft and data security concerns, I do not consent to transmitting sensitive photo identification to a third-party prepaid card XXXX. I requested reasonable alternative identity verification methods, including email verification, one-time passcodes, address verification, or live phone verification. BHN has not provided any alternative verification options and continues to withhold access to the funds. As a result, I have not been able to access settlement funds that were issued in my name, despite the payment being marked as completed.…
My account with MyPrepaidCenter was initially locked, and later my access was further restricted, making the funds completely inaccessible. The funds in question are a legitimate refund issued as part of a product recall program by XXXX ( air conditioner recall ). This is not a disputed transaction or fraudulent activity. It is a manufacturer-issued refund for a recalled product. I contacted MyPrepaidCenter multiple times to request an explanation for the account lock and to regain access to my refund, but I did not receive a clear explanation, resolution, or timeline. As a result, I am unable to access my own funds and am seeking assistance to have the refund released or reissued through an alternative method.
On XX/XX/year>, I attempted to use a prepaid gift card with an available balance of {$67.00} to make a purchase on XXXX. The transaction did not go through, and no purchase was completed. After the failed attempt, I checked the balance through the cards official balance inquiry service and discovered two transactions that I did not authorize or make. The transactions were listed as follows : XX/XX/year> : {$56.00} charged to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/year> : {$10.00} charged to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX These transactions appear to be in-person Square point-of-sale charges and are not related to my attempted XXXX purchase. I was not present at this merchant location, did not authorize these charges, and did not provide the card information to any third party. The charges occurred the same day I attempted to use the card, effectively draining the balance.…
I received three {$100.00} prepaid XXXX gift cards ( {$300.00} total ) issued by Blackhawk Network via MyPrepaidCenter as a workplace gift. All three cards were activated virtually prior to use. The cards have been unusable at every merchant, both online and in-person, that Ive tried. Online transactions consistently fail, including at merchants explicitly listed as eligible for use with these cards. After the virtual cards failed, I paid an additional {$3.00} per card ( total {$9.00} ) to receive physical cards. The physical cards are equally unusable despite proper activation via MyPrepaidCenter. MyPrepaidCenter provides no functional way to view, con firm, or manage any billing address or ZIP code associated with the cards. This prevents proper address verification ( AVS ) and results in widespread transaction declines. I was also unable to reach a customer service representative after multiple attempts, leaving no viable support path.…

I have sent the documentation countless times and have sent emails DAILY for over XXXX MONTHS with no resolution. I was gifted a prepaid XXXX card issued by XXXX XXXX XXXX Upon activation, funds were missing. I have proof the card was used physically in California while I was in Texas. The issuer refuses to investigate or refund the stolen funds, claiming 'gift cards are like cash, ' effectively knowingly selling compromised financial products.
I received a {$200.00} e-gift card as a XXXX gift. This was purchased through XXXX and arrived as a text message from XXXX with a link. I clicked on this link and it took me to an XXXX page with the only option Get Your Gift Card. I clicked on this link and it took me to another verification page with a picture of the card with the card number, expiration date and even a CVV #. It stated that this card was to be used for online purchases only so that was my intention. I wanted to use it at XXXX XXXX but they did not have multiple payment methods as an option so I decided to try to use it through XXXX. It turns out that trying to use it in XXXX was not acceptable and the card locked for fraud protection. After many calls with XXXX, XXXX and this company I was finally communicating with the customer support center. They asked me for pictures, a selfie of myself holding my drivers license etc. So I sent them everything I had including screenshots of each step.…
