Summary of Complaint Carrington Mortgage Services force placed windstorm insurance on my mothers FHA reverse mortgage despite having continuous proof of valid wind coverage through the condominium associations master policy. Carrington then initiated foreclosure solely based on these improper, servicer created charges. Carrington ignored the valid wind coverage that has been in place through the condominium associations master policy since XXXX even after providing the declaration page of the condominium windstorm associations master policy. Please see all notices Carrington sent as proof of generic and automated letters that did not address or explain any deficiency in the wind policy. My mortgage company Carrington mortgage services LLC, is preventing me from being made whole by not releasing my insurance funds that have been paid since December even though a certified property inspector has confirmed inspection is complete over 50 %. I also uploaded receipts which I paid out my pocket to the contractors. Repairs were seized due to lack of funds. My floors are now bare. I have exposed pipes and wires.
I am reporting a systemic pattern of administrative negligence and the potential misapplication of government relief funds by my mortgage servicer. I called Carrington and told them of their error that day XX/XX/XXXX. Insurance bill was due XX/XX/XXXX. They said they would try and stop it, meanwhile, my new policy bill from XXXX went to Carrington. They paid that as well, which lead to a significant negative balance of my escrow account. Hello, Carrington Mortgage XXXX failed to properly notify me of a mortgage transfer after my previous servicer sold my loan. I received no certified notice or welcome packet. Because I had no documentation, the first calls from XXXX were unfamiliar, and I did not recognize them as legitimate mortgage notifications, creating a reasonable misunderstanding. I discovered payments werent being withdrawn only when my bank balance appeared unusually high. After contacting my previous servicer, I confirmed the loan had been transferred to XXXX and paid the mortgage in full immediately. I contacted XXXX seeking resolution. They agreed to send a welcome letter and call log but refused to correct the resulting credit reporting issues, despite their procedural failure being the cause. This refusal exposes me to negative credit reporting and financial harm, despite my immediate payment once I discovered the issue.…

We sent a payment to Carrington Mortgage Services and have had issues with the payments being posted in a timely manner so we paid to have this package with the check tracked. Our tracking indicates that the check was delivered on XXXX and I called to verify on XXXX which Carrington Mortgage Services stated they had not received a check. This has been a consistent issue with them causing us to pay for shipping so it's extra money and time we have to take away from our family.
Carrington Mortgage Services failed to provide adequate notification of a missed XX/XX/XXXX mortgage payment before reporting it as 30 days late to credit bureaus, despite having my active email address and sending multiple marketing emails during the same period. I enrolled in their auto-pay system in XX/XX/XXXX. Their enrollment process has multiple confusing " final '' confirmation screens with no clear success indicator, causing the enrollment to fail without my knowledge. I discovered the issue in early XXXX when my XXXX payment didn't draft, investigated immediately, and paid the full XXXX balance plus late fees within days ( XX/XX/XXXX : {$660.00}, XX/XX/XXXX : {$700.00} ). Carrington sent XXXX email notifications about the missed payment, despite sending me XXXX marketing emails during XXXX XXXX ( attached ).…
Since XX/XX/XXXX, the mortgage servicer has engaged in a pattern of escrow mismanagement affecting a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX Veteran household. While the property tax exemption was updated as of XX/XX/XXXX, the servicer continues to withhold {$2700.00} in misappropriated funds. This total includes : {$1700.00} in tax funds over-collected ( XXXX XXXX ) which the bank seized to cover a projected shortage while still claiming a remaining balance of {$210.00} ; {$920.00} from a duplicate insurance payment to a canceled provider ( XXXX XXXX XXXX which the bank admitted was an error in writing on XX/XX/XXXX, but has failed to credit ; and {$62.00} in unjustified shortage 'catch-up ' fees. Despite these over-collections, the bank is demanding an over-inflated monthly payment based on an artificial shortage of {$1000.00} ( as of XX/XX/XXXXXXXX ). The account actually maintains a significant surplus.…
I believe that this foreclosure is being done illegally. RESPA was violated. I tried to refinance years ago with help of an attorney and carrington never followed through and o have been over and over trying to. Everything is going back to my ex-husband NOT me. No one contacts me only my ex-husband. I thought that since I am secondary that I am to be contacted also? Plus chase is foreclosing so why am I dealing with carrington? XXXX claims that they have received. Nothing from carrington no communication at all. I want to work in a resolution that will stop this and stop the hardship, emotional, financial and physical damage this process has created. Ive spent thousands on attorney fees and Im ignored. Im emotionally stressed and have developed severe XXXX, XXXX and panic attacks. Which has affected my employment. I want a resolution that can be agreed upon and not this embarrassment that they are creating for everyone involved.

I was offered a loan modification with Carrington that came with a 3-month Trial Payment Plan. The first payment was due XX/XX/XXXX but would be accepted until XX/XX/XXXX. During the month, my furnace had to be replaced, at a cost of almost {$1000.00}. I reached out to my Carrington representative and explained the situation. She told me to just call in and explain the situation and see what options I had. On XX/XX/XXXX my parents gave me money to cover my trial payment for XXXX. However, it wasnt going to clear until XXXX. I explained this when I called in to Carrington. I was told the best course would be to cancel my request for loan modification and reapply. I was specifically told that if the mortgage assistance request was canceled it would NOT be considered failed. So I canceled the plan and reapplied at the same time on the phone. It wasnt until after I hung up, and advised my normal Carrington rep of the situation, that she told me I shouldnt have done that.…
My loan was transferred or sold to XXXX XXXX I have continued to ask for the transcripts, not a interpretation of my calls, the actual transcribed or recordings. Carrington mortgage has refused to provide this information, and in their last letter to me on the subject, stated they did not have to provide anything to me.
My loan was sold to Carrington XXXX Mortgage after using a fully online process via XXXX XXXX XXXX. My payments suddenly stopped being debited from my account and my account was put into delinquency and my credit score dropped XXXX points. When I called in to see why my payments were not being taken out, they told me I would not be able to access my account to set up automatic payments and that I would have to send a check via snail mail. I explicitly signed up with a digital lender because we do not use the US Postal service. I asked to receive paperless commumication only and did not receive communication from Carrington indicating that they needed my help in transferring the account and making sure the auto-pay details remain in tact. This bank clearly just buys accounts and provides the worst possible service, which feels fraudulent.…
I was granted an trial payment for loan modification. I made my first payment along with my second payment. Was told that they were working to get this matter resolved and reestablish because of the error and off payment. I was able to get the payment back after 2 two days from XXXX XXXX, I again spoke to numerous representatives assuring this correction to get denied and told false and honestly baited info it seems to me for another chance at trail but, the attested agreement ended up being a set up for future denial when I made it to the 3rd trial payment.…
