Payday loan, title loan, personal loan, or advance loan· Struggling to pay your loanWI

I took out a payday loan with SpeedyCash and have since repaid the substantial majority of the original amount borrowed. Based on my records, approximately {$580.00} of the original principal remains ; however, the total balance the company is claiming is higher due to added fees and/or interest. Due to financial hardship, I contacted the company in XX/XX/year> to request a written repayment plan or a reduced settlement amount to resolve the remaining balance. I also clearly requested that all communication be conducted in writing and revoked authorization for electronic withdrawals from my bank account. The company responded by directing me to call them instead of addressing my request in writing. I followed up and reiterated my request for written communication and a resolution option. The company then stated they would limit communications to legally required notices but did not provide any response addressing repayment or settlement options.

I obtained a loan from Speedy Cash with an original principal amount of {$2000.00}. Due to extremely high daily interest charges, the balance has rapidly increased to approximately {$3000.00} in a very short period of time. I contacted the company to request a payoff quote and to discuss hardship assistance because I am experiencing financial difficulty. During my calls, I specifically requested that the interest be frozen or that the company provide a reasonable payoff amount so that I could resolve the account responsibly. However, the representatives refused to freeze the interest or provide any reasonable resolution. Instead, I was told that the balance would continue to increase unless I paid the full amount immediately. I was also told that my only option would be to allow the account to become past due and eventually go to collections before any alternative options could be considered.

On the due date for our monthly payment, we went to the branch to inform them that we wouldn't be paying the full amount at once, but rather in three installments on different dates, as we didn't have all the money. The person who assisted us indicated that after the final payment, the third installment, we would have to pay more than the regular monthly amount, ultimately paying {$500.00} extra. We felt this was an abuse of power. Later, we spoke on the phone with the representative who processed our loan, and she told us that this was what we had agreed to in the contract. We requested to speak with her supervisor or manager, but she refused, insisting that this was what we had signed in the contract, with no intention of trying to resolve the issue. I was asking for a reduction in this charge because it was excessive.

On XX/XX/year>, I paid my XXXX account in full. This payment was successfully processed and is reflected on my bank statement. Despite the account being fully satisfied, XXXX later placed the paid account into collections and has continued attempting to collect on a balance that does not exist. I have also received text messages regarding this paid debt. I did not authorize continued contact after the account was paid in full. Attempting to collect on a satisfied debt and reporting an already-paid account to collections is inaccurate and improper. Continued contact regarding a non-existent balance is unwarranted. I have a title loan with TitleMax that has become impossible to repay due to excessive and continuously increasing fees. Monthly payments that were previously manageable have increased significantly, despite my consistent efforts to make payments. In the past, my payments were occasionally made a few days late and were accepted without severe penalties. Recently, however, the fees and charges have increased dramatically, causing my balance to grow rather than decrease. Payments appear to be applied primarily to fees instead of principal, which has trapped me in ongoing debt. When I contact the store for assistance, the staff are rude, dismissive, and refuse to offer any hardship options or reasonable payment arrangements. Instead, they repeatedly threaten repossession, which has caused me significant XXXX and financial hardship. I am paid biweekly, making the current payment structure unrealistic.

The lender changed my payment amount and debited my bank account without notice or new authorization. I did not sign any new agreement or consent to the increased amount. I am disputing this as an unauthorized electronic fund transfer under Regulation E. I became aware of this change on Tuesday, XX/XX/year>. Prior to this, I contacted the company on Friday, XX/XX/year> to ask why my account was charged in back-to-back weeks when my payment schedule is bi-weekly. I was only told that I was behind on payments and they were attempting to obtain the missed payment.
