Formal Complaint Inaccurate Collection Reporting Furnisher : Cedars Business Services Original Creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account Number : XXXX Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am submitting this formal complaint regarding Cedars Business Services for the inaccurate reporting of a collection account on my consumer credit report. The account referenced above is being reported as a new collection account opened XX/XX/XXXX, with a balance of {$4500.00}. However, the alleged contractual relationship with the original creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX was opened and closed in XXXX, and therefore the current reporting is materially inaccurate and misleading. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and XXXX XXXX Compliance Standards, furnishers are required to report information with maximum possible accuracy and maintain accurate Date of First Delinquency ( DOFD ) and account history.…
" On XX/XX/year>, I received a credit alert indicating that XXXX derogatory line items were added to my credit report by Cedars Business Services , LLC. Upon review, I have determined that this information is inaccurate and misleading, as it does not accurately reflect my payment history. These unauthorized entries have caused significant financial harm. I am requesting the immediate removal of these items and a formal correction sent to the credit bureaus. If this is not resolved promptly, I am prepared to initiate legal proceedings to protect my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). ''
On XX/XX/year>, I received an alert from XXXX that my credit score had dropped XXXX points due to a reported unpaid debt of {$330.00}. The collection agency listed was Cedar Business Services. I contacted them, and they stated the debt originated from XXXX XXXX. I have never opened or held an account with XXXX XXXX. To verify this, I contacted XXXX XXXX directly, and their representative confirmed that no account has ever been associated with my name or information. This indicates the debt is fraudulent. I submitted a dispute to XXXX ; however, the dispute was closed the next day without additional information. I called XXXX on XX/XX/year>, to understand the closure, and they advised me to report the issue to the FTC and resubmit a second dispute, which I have done. I am requesting a full investigation and removal of this fraudulent account and any negative impact it has had on my credit report.
The loan was paid to XXXX years ago and unaware to me it was reverted back to my account. A phone call was made to XXXX XXXX XXXX and was told they would look into it and I was never contacted. The dates are unknown, the amount is questionable as this loan was over a decade ago. Further, I've never made any agreements with this CEDARS company trying to retrieve this loan payment. I dispute any fees added and hadn't spoken with anyone since this occurred.
I received a collections notice XX/XX/XXXX for an amount that I never received from XXXX XXXX of Florida. I immediately called the Dentists office and explained this issue. The person on the phone told me they had a billing personnel change that is causing these types of issues. The person confirmed the collections was for an old balance that was " discovered '' by the new billing employee. I asked for the backup to this and for a signed letter with proof that the balance was removed from the Collections agency. I never received this. Since then, I have called, texted and left voicemails numerous times following up requesting this information. My husband also called and requested this information. After a month of calling, I reverted to only using their messaging portal because I want all communications documented. Those messages are attached. None of the requested information has been provided to date and it's now XX/XX/XXXX.…
I received a letter from Cedars business services on XX/XX/year>. It says that I received a product or service from XXXX and I owe them money for an outstanding payment. I called XXXX and they will not talk to me since its been turned over to Cedars. Cedar says they dont know what this is for. they cant see the information. But they gave me an order number that was from a year and a half ago. I looked up the item and told them that that order was canceled. When XXXX did not refund me for the canceled money, I disputed it on my credit card and my dispute was honored. XXXX is now saying that I owe them this money which is the amount of {$260.00}. Cedar business services told me they are going back to XXXX to check on this. This was over a month ago. I followed up with them and they still have no new information for me and are saying that I owe this money that I do not owe.
I am disputing a collection account reported by Cedars Business Services LLC. I previously disputed this account with the credit reporting agency. Despite my dispute, the account continues to be reported. On XX/XX/year>, I sent Cedars Business Services LLC a written debt validation request via certified mail. XXXX tracking confirms delivery to Cedars address in XXXX, California. To date, Cedars Business Services LLC has not provided any debt validation, including but not limited to the original creditor, a signed agreement or contract, itemized billing, or proof that I am legally obligated for the alleged debt. Despite the lack of validation from the furnisher, the credit reporting agency verified the account as accurate. I believe this verification was improper because the furnisher failed to provide the required validation after receiving my written request.…
I got a bill in the mail from Cedars business services saying I owe {$630.00} from a traffic violation I had from a traffic camera in XXXX XXXX years ago. They are saying infraction was caught on a traffic camera and saying I was going XXXX over the speed limit. The call sounded like a scam because he wanted me to give him my email address. The guy sounded XXXX and it sounded like a scam call to get me to pay a ticket I have no proof of showing the original ticket from XXXX. I also am suspicious because the rental car companies usually deduct any tickets you get with the card you put on file with them. So I kept asking the guy from XXXX to send me the original ticket to the email address they have on file and he kept asking me to tell him my email. I told him, he should already have the email I have on file. Then I just hung up on him because it sounded like a scam and they used open source software to look up emails they are on the dark web.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I received my first notice from Cedars Business Services ( Arizona XXXX XXXX ) attempting to collect an alleged XXXX traffic citation issued by the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I never received the original citation, nor any notice of attempted delivery from XXXX authorities. Prior to receiving the collection notice, I had been communicating with an XXXX law firm regarding the matter and advised them that I never received notice of any traffic citation. I was informed that they were not responsible for the delivery or receipt of my mail. The only documentation provided to me by the XXXX law firm was a return receipt related to the citations, not documentation showing attempted delivery, lawful service, or notice of deposit to me. On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a written dispute and request for validation to Cedars pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1692g ).…
CEDAR BUS SE is falsely reporting on my credit. I have never had any accounts with them. Per my research CEDAR BUS SE is a debt collector. They are falsely reporting on my credit!! Ive received multiple mailed collection notices claiming I owe XXXX to the XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, for a traffic violation. The letter was sent by Cedars Business Services and included a payment portal ( Pay.Myfines.it ), login credentials, and international bank transfer details. I believe this is fraudulent because : Italian municipal fines are not collected by U.S.-based private debt collectors. The letter included login credentials, which is highly suspicious. The payment portal and bank details appear inconsistent with official government processes. I did not authorize any debt and have not made any payment. I am reporting this to prevent others from being targeted.
I was at XXXX on XXXX, XXXX, so they send me to pay one ticket after 14 months with no details, I don't know what is it, they did not give chance to self defense, they started charging {$310.00}, then when I went to website, is XXXX, at same day of I received the letter, they notify me on XX/XX/XXXX, so almost 2 years later.

Cedars Business Services, LLC is attempting to collect an alleged balance on behalf of XXXX Payments related to chargebacks on my merchant account. I dispute that this alleged debt is valid and I requested proper validation in writing under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1692g ). Cedars has not provided proper debt validation. Instead, they have sent only generic statements such as your agreement states you are responsible for chargebacks and XXXX already paid for an unwarranted chargeback, without providing official documentation from the issuing banks or payment networks showing the chargeback amounts, filing dates, reason codes, or final adjudication results. XXXX internal payment ledger shows the chargebacks were classified as cardholder not present, which indicates unauthorized/fraud transactions, yet Cedars inaccurately stated the chargebacks were due to dissatisfaction of services.…

Cedars Business Services reached out to me on XX/XX/year> about a debt in the amount of {$190.00}. This amount was not owed because of an isolated incident that occurred with XXXX XXXX. When I attempted to dispute the debt and gave them the contact information of the individual at XXXX XXXX who was handling this issue, Cedars claimed that they do not speak with XXXX XXXX and that they would research the validity of this debt. How can a company do that when they say they cant speak with XXXX XXXX?
Cedars Business Services first contacted me on XX/XX/year> claiming I owed a balance of {$2900.00} for a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have never had any business with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I do not recognize this debt. Four days later XXXX XXXX, I received another email from Cedars Business Services showing a different balance of {$4800.00}. In that message, they stated that the debt would be reported to my credit on XX/XX/year> if I did not contact them. They also stated that if I did not dispute it by that date, they would assume their information was correct. Their email included a link titled Submit a Dispute, but when I clicked it, it only took me to a payment portal, not a dispute page. I emailed them multiple times requesting verification/validation of the debt and sent a cease and desist request, but they have never responded with any verification. I emailed them on XX/XX/year> and XXXX only continue sending the same automated email asking me to pay.…
I am disputing an alleged debt and the collector has not provided the required validation under 15 U.S.C. 1692g of the FDCPA. I requested full validation, including the original contract, itemized accounting, and proof of assignment. I also requested documentation showing the collectors right to collect under UCC Article 9 if they claim assignment or ownership of the debt. The collector has either failed to respond, provided incomplete documentation, or continued collection activity without validation. I am requesting that the CFPB intervene and require the collector to provide full validation or cease all collection activity and update any credit reporting.
I reviewed this account and I still do not understand how Cedars ended up with anything tied to my name. I never shared my information with this company and I never approved any transfer of my personal details to them. There is nothing in my files that shows an agreement or any moment where I interacted with Cedars. They placed a balance on my credit without proving how they even received my information. This has created credit problems for me and they have not shown one valid document with my consent. A company can not report anything under my profile without confirming that I allowed them to handle my information.

From XX/XX/XXXX until early XXXX, I rented a storage unit at XXXX XXXX, located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX. Several months into my rental, I discovered a severe rat infestation in the unit. I promptly reported the issue to the on-site staff and management. Despite raising concerns, the facility failed to take appropriate action to resolve the infestation or prevent damage to my belongings. The unit remained in unsanitary and unsafe conditions, and I was not provided with the clean and secure storage environment promised in the rental agreement. Because XXXX XXXX neglected to address the infestation or offer any remedy, I refused to continue paying for a compromised and hazardous unit. In retaliation, they sent the account to collections, which I am now disputing. I have attempted to resolve this matter directly with XXXX XXXX, but they refused to take accountability. This debt should not be valid, as the service was not properly rendered due to their negligence.
