I financed an online XXXX XXXX program through XXXX using a Climb Credit XXXX loan for approximately {$8000.00}. XXXX has since ceased operations due to insolvency and my training contract was terminated effective XX/XX/year>. My access to the course platform was removed and I was unable to complete the program, specialization courses, and job placement services that were part of the program I financed. I did not withdraw from the program the company shut down and terminated my contract. Despite this, I am still being told I am responsible for the full loan balance and can not pause or discharge the loan. I am requesting investigation and assistance because I am being required to repay a loan for educational services that were not fully delivered due to the school ceasing operations.

I am disputing inaccurate reporting and systemic failures by XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I made a payment of {$660.00} ( Confirmation # XXXX ) while having over {$12000.00} across my accounts ( {$4700.00} checking / {$7600.00} savings ). Despite this, the XXXX claimed 'no funds ' and hit my credit. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a {$1000.00} cash payment at the branch ( Receipt attached ). A representative emailed admitting the payment data looked 'weird ' and promised to investigate. Instead, they went silent for weeks and allowed my credit to be hit a second time in XX/XX/XXXX while the account was in a formal dispute. They are now withholding credit corrections to pressure me into signing insurance documents for a vehicle totaled on XX/XX/XXXX. They have ignored my physical receipts and my stutter during in-person visits.
I am filing this complaint against Climb Credit regarding a loan for XXXX, which ceased all operations in XX/XX/year>. XXXX is no longer providing the instruction, mentoring, or 'lifetime access ' promised in my enrollment contract. I have contacted Climb Credit to request a loan discharge due to school closure, but they continue to require payments for services that are no longer being rendered. Under the FTC Holder Rule, I should not be held liable for a loan where the seller ( XXXX ) failed to provide the services. I am requesting that Climb Credit stop collections, discharge the remaining balance, and refund payments made since the school closed
At the end of XX/XX/XXXX, I signed a contract with XXXX. They were fraudulently operating as a school. The legal agreement was that they would assist me in getting a job within 12 months. They received a deferred loan payment through Climb Credit. If they did not succeed, I was not responsible in paying anything and they would pay Climb back directly. At the beginning of XX/XX/XXXX, the agreement period lapsed. I have in writing that I was never placed in a job and they would pay Climb Credit back. However, they claimed bankruptcy less than a month later. Now Climb is trying to collect an unenforceable loan. I still do not have a job. I am in no way responsible for this loan, yet Climb is still illegally claiming Im missing payments on a loan that I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR. They refuse any and all communication because they know what they are doing is illegal. There are currently lawsuits open against them and XXXX.…
In XX/XX/XXXX I enrolled in an online technology training program called XXXX. The program was marketed as providing strong career preparation and job placement support, including a Money-Back Guarantee if a qualifying job was not obtained after completing the program. To finance the tuition, I obtained a private education loan through Climb Credit. The loan funded {$6000.00} in tuition, but the total repayment obligation is approximately {$8400.00} including interest and fees. The loan was funded on XX/XX/XXXX and repayment began in XX/XX/XXXX. My required monthly payment is approximately {$240.00} for 42 months. I completed the training program and received my certificate in XX/XX/XXXX. After graduation I actively searched for employment and applied to many positions that matched my qualifications and experience. XXXX later required job applications to be logged in their internal platform called XXXX in order to qualify for the Money-Back Guarantee.…
I was aggressively recruited into a coding bootcamp called XXXX through high-pressure sales tactics and false promises of lifetime access to tutors, mentors, and course materials. I was financed through Climb Credit for approximately {$10000.00} a significant loan I am still repaying. XXXX has since shut down and gone completely insolvent, leaving XXXX of students with nothing. The company made deliberate misrepresentations about the services they would provide, collected large sums of money from vulnerable students seeking career opportunities, and then ceased operations without refunding anyone. There is extensive documentation of this predatory behavior on the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and consumer review sites showing a clear pattern of fraud, unresponsive customer service, and refusal to issue refunds even before closure. I never received the services I was promised and paid for.…
On or about XX/XX/year>, I financed approximately {$5000.00} through Climb Credit to participate in a marketing training program offered by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. The program promised training, coaching, and assistance with running marketing campaigns. Shortly after enrollment, the company stopped responding to communications and appears to have ceased providing the services that were advertised. The website for the program remains active but the program itself appears to no longer be operational and no services have been delivered. I contacted Climb Credit to report that the vendor financed through their loan was no longer responding and that the services the loan was intended to finance were never delivered. I requested that they investigate the vendor and advise what protections exist for consumers when a loan finances services that are not provided. I was informed that it is not their responsibility to investigate the vendor.…
Date : XX/XX/scrub>XXXX Consumer Financial Protection Bureau XXXX. XXXX XXXX Washington , DC XXXX Subject : Complaint Regarding Deceptive Lending Practices Climb Investco / Climb Credit To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint regarding a loan issued through Climb Credit / XXXX XXXX in connection with a vocational training program. I believe I was induced into taking this loan based on misleading and deceptive representations regarding job placement outcomes and the quality of the educational program associated with the loan. At the time I enrolled in the program and accepted financing through Climb, I was led to believe that the program had strong employment outcomes and that Climb had vetted the school and its job placement results. Representations made by the program and/or lending partners suggested that graduates would have a high likelihood of securing employment in the relevant field after completion.…
In XXXX, during the height of Covid, I was looking for other options to work from home with my father who was at high risk with his health. I kept seeing advertisements for the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on my social media and it was overwhelming but I decided to look into it. XXXX is a well respected school in Texas and the way the program was presented was that it was appropriate for entry/beginner level coders with little to no experience. They assured it was a high quality course that would only take 6 months and promised assistance with job placement. When talking to recruitment, myself and my mother felt pressured into applying for a private loan with her as a cosigner with Climb Credit. I did the precourse work and decided that the program seemed easy enough and officially started the program.…
XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was deceptive and offered me a student loan through Climb Credit. I thought that is was a traditional loan where they disburse all funds to school. I have graduated and Climb Credit still has not issued 100 percent of funds to ACE. I have a balance with the school and a balance with Climb. When I got behind on my payments with Climb they placed a hold on my transcript. If I could get another job I could not because of transcript hold associated with this loan. This is very unethical. I spoke to Climb Credit and they put me on a XXXX $ per month payment plan that I did pay because it is on auto pay. Climb never cleared my account with ACE. Instead, they placed my account on default. When I called they said that the customer service representative failed to email me form associated with payment plan. The new rep that I spoke to emailed it in Climb Credit portal. I filled it out and they said that I was denied because my loan was already in default.…
I took out a private student loan through Climb Credit for a XXXX XXXX. The program was marketed with a job guarantee and career outcomes that were misleading. Degree requirements to qualify for refunds and realistic job placement were not clearly disclosed before enrollment. I BELIEVED I withdrew after several months when I realized the representations did not match reality, but I am still being held liable for the full loan. I am requesting investigation, correction, and relief. Since then I tried resolving this issue here and I respectfully disagree with the companys response and believe it does not fully address the substance of my complaint. First, their response relies almost entirely on the existence of a signed loan and enrollment documents, while failing to address my central concern : that the XXXX program was marketed with misleading job guarantee and career outcome representations that were not clearly or adequately disclosed before enrollment.…
I was enrolled in XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX for about a year making the monthly pay XXXX and then when I finally payed off the loan which was over XXXX grand. The school then closes two weeks later and completely break all communication with no way of reaching out to them. They broke their contract promising us all these resources. The loan company states we wont be getting our money back until the school pays them. But the school vanished with no communication at all, they deleted their email so you get an error message in return.
This is what I wrote for my complaint about this that I had submitted to the Better Business Bureau : Through pressure tactics over the phone, both XXXX and their partnered lender Climb Credit got me to sign a private student loan in XXXX of XXXX for {$9900.00} to attend XXXX. This is a financial dispute. The {$9900.00} has accrued interest at a predatory rate and is now about {$12000.00}. I have not paid anything after realizing this was a scam except a lower, deferred amount just to keep the loan current. It has had a severe impact on my credit. XXXX has not tried to resolve the issue. I attempted contact with both them and Climb Credit shortly after signing the original documents when I logged into my student dashboard and realized it was a scam ; my student dashboard was just XXXX links : XXXX of them was a student intake form, and the other XXXX were just links to XXXX XXXX videos.…
I contacted Climb Credit to go about cancelling a loan with a school program they knew was an issue. Unfortunately for my situation the school ceased to inform students that it wasnt running anymore and that they where not an accredited program. So i have been paying a loan to a program i can not use.
I am a XXXX at XXXX XXXX. I enrolled in the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX program in XX/XX/XXXX and took out a {$12000.00} loan with Climb Credit to pay for it. I was induced to sign this contract based on specific promises of professional mentorship and career placement services. However, the program was a misrepresentation of what was advertised : Lack of Instruction : During the 'apprenticeship, ' I was frequently told to sit in silence and watch a producer work without receiving any actual instruction or mentorship. Breach of Career Services : Since finishing the course, the school has completely ghosted me. I received one email regarding a 'job opportunity, ' but when I replied and followed up multiple times via email and phone, the school ( including my advisor ) ceased all communication. Lender Accountability : Climb Credit claims to vet its partner schools for quality and ROI.…
I took out a private student loan through Climb Credit for a XXXX XXXX. The program was marketed with a job guarantee and career outcomes that were misleading. Material details ( including degree requirements to qualify for refunds and realistic job placement expectations ) were not clearly disclosed before enrollment. I withdrew after several months when I realized the representations did not match reality, but I am still being held liable for the full loan. I am requesting investigation, correction, and relief.
I am writing in regard to a consumer complaint I have filed involving my climb credit loan that is associated with XXXX XXXX XXXX. I entered into this loan believing it was tied to educational services that would be provided by XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, I did not receive the majority of the services that were represented to me at the time of enrollment. Despite this, I am currently being held financially responsible for the loan and associated charges. I am disputing the validity of this loan on the basis that the services promised were not delivered, and I believe the charges being applied are unfair and not reflective of the services actually provided. I am requesting that this loan be reviewed and that I not be held responsible for charges related to serves that were not rendered. My desired resolution is to have the loan corrected, reduced, or discharged accordingly, and to ensure that no negative credit reporting occurs while this matter is under review.…
I have previously filled a complaint with you about Climb Credit which has not been resolved. See complaint # XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from Climb Credit telling me I had a student loan for {$7800.00}. I called Climb Credit on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to agent XXXX # XXXX and told him this was not my loan and this was fraud and asked him to send me a fraud packet which he did. I sent this packet back on XXXX XXXX by registered mail. I called again XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to XXXX agent # XXXX telling her this was not my loan and I was disputing it. Climb Credit replied to my first complaint saying I should talk to XXXX XXXX which I did and the number I was given was to Climb Credit and not XXXX XXXX. I called Climb Credit and talked to agent XXXX # XXXX and he said I could send the fraud complaint to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX which I did XX/XX/XXXX by certified mail and this was delivered.…
I am submitting this complaint regarding Climb Credits handling of a private student loan. I signed a loan agreement on XX/XX/year>, but before any funds were disbursed I sent a written rescission/cancellation request on XX/XX/year>, clearly stating that I did not authorize the loan to be funded. Climb Credit did not process the rescission and instead redirected me to the school. I did not re-authorize the loan at any time after my rescission and dispute Climbs later claim that I signed or approved anything after that date. Despite notice of cancellation, Climb Credit issued updated loan documents and ultimately disbursed the loan against my wishes. Climb Credit is now treating the loan as active, demanding payment, and reporting the account to credit bureaus.…
Climb credit union took over my loan from XXXX XXXX. Climb credit union tries to add a " XXXX '' fee if your vehicle isn't insured. They also will apply this " XXXX '' fee if they feel like it. 2 charges of {$140.00} applied to my loan in XXXX, when insurance details were provided months ago. I resent details at tge start of XXXX, and was still charged on the XXXX. They use a 3rd party company to apply these charges, and the companys can't communicate for at least 1 month. So until they decide to review your case, fees will keep adding. Filed for " skip-a-pay '' and was still charged a late fee.... stay away from Climb credit union
In XXXX of XXXX, I was contacted by XXXX XXXX XXXX through the platform known as XXXX XXXX. The company promised that they could help find XXXX jobs. They stated that in 6 months, if you did not have a job, you did not have to pay anything to them. However, they kept reaching out to me promising me that they could find me a job. At the time, I was in severe mental distress and had been unemployed due to this for 5 months at the time. They finally pressured me into using their services and I then suffered a mental hospitalization in XXXX of XXXX. When I got back from the hospital, they had continued to try and contact me, with my wife explaining to them that I was sick. They in the process of convincing me that they could find a job, took my personal information and took a student loan out in my name. Then, since XX/XX/XXXX, I have been completely unable to contact them. They have since fled XXXX and started somewhere else. I have no paperwork of this loan. Nothing.…
I am writing to formally dispute the alleged debt you claim I owe in connection with a XXXX training program financed through XXXX XXXX XXXX sent my debt to a collection agency called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX added interest I state clearly and unequivocally that : I never attended the XXXX class I never received the educational services associated with this alleged debt As no services were rendered, this debt should be voided or canceled in full I am formally disputing the validity of this debt If no attendance, login activity, or course completion can be substantiated, then no service was rendered and the basis for this debt is invalid. I did not attend the class and XXXX XXXX states on their website that If you decide not to attend your program, we will cancel your loan. We don't want students taking out loans for educations that they don't receive! Just let us know as soon as possible.
What happened? I obtained a private student loan through CLIMB Credit for educational purposes. In or around XX/XX/year>, CLIMB Credit sold or transferred the loan to a third-party collections agency, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX After the transfer, I entered into a settlement/payment agreement directly with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I fully complied with the agreement, and the loan was paid and settled in full according to the terms outlined by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have documentation confirming both the settlement agreement and that the balance was satisfied. Despite this, CLIMB Credit continues to report the loan on my credit report, even though the loan was sold and settled with XXXX XXXX XXXX. To my understanding, once the loan was transferred and settled with the collection agency, CLIMB Credit no longer had the legal right to continue reporting an active or outstanding balance. I have made efforts to resolve this matter by maintaining records of payment and settlement documentation.…
I am filing this complaint against Climb Credit regarding a private student loan I took out for the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX bootcamp. I am requesting a full discharge of my remaining balance based on deceptive marketing and lending practices, similar to those outlined in the CFPBs 2024 lawsuit ( XXXX XXXX. XXXX ). When I signed up for this loan, XXXX XXXX marketed the program as " XXXX XXXX '' and " Vetted '' for strong job placement results. I relied on these specific claims of a high Return on Investment ( ROI ) and the promise of employment after graduation to justify the debt. However, these claims proved to be deceptive. The program did not lead to the promised employment outcomes, and the vetting process Climb claimed to perform appears to have been based on unreliable data. Furthermore, the high monthly payments on this loan have become a significant financial hardship.…
I signed up for the online coding course with XXXX XXXX in XXXX or XXXX of XXXX, and got a loan through Climb Credit for the cost of the course. In XXXX of XXXX, XXXX has closed their business and I am still having to pay for the loan. I have contacted Climb Credit and asked to stop the loan payments, and they said that the only way that they can cancel the loan payments is if they get the info from XXXX themselves about the closing of their business. They gave me an email to try and contact XXXX, but I get a message back saying that the address is not found. I have tried reaching out through the phone numbers that I can find online but they are all disconnected. Climb Credit is still charging me when I no longer have access to the course as outlined in my contract.
I am writing to provide an update regarding my complaint concerning XXXX, Climb Credit, and XXXX XXXX. Since my last communication, the situation remains unresolved : XXXX has not issued the promised refund, despite previously confirming in writing that a refund was initiated. My loan with Climb Credit XXXX XXXX XXXX remains active, and no refund or credit has been applied. XXXX has ceased responding to my communications, including my most recent outreach on XX/XX/year>. I have paid approximately {$8000.00} toward a total loan of about {$13000.00}, for educational services that were not delivered as promised. For additional documentation, I have also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ). FTC Report XXXX : XXXX. At this point, the school continues to retain loan proceeds while failing to provide services or return funds, which appears to reflect a lack of good-faith compliance.…
On XX/XX/year>, Climb withdrew {$270.00} from my bank account for an authorized installment loan payment. While the payment was authorized, the withdrawal caused severe financial hardship, as I was not financially prepared to lose these funds at that time. I am currently experiencing significant financial distress and am preparing to file for bankruptcy. The {$270.00} withdrawal left me unable to cover basic living expenses, including rent, my car payment, and food. On XX/XX/year>, I contacted Climb by email to request a one-time hardship accommodation, specifically asking whether a refund, credit, or other payment relief could be provided due to my financial situation. As of today, I have not received any response, and it has been more than XXXX business days since my request. I am not disputing authorization of the payment.…

On XX/XX/XXXX, I signed a contract to enroll in a training course with XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), who is based in XXXX but doing business in the United States as Job Guaranteed XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, DE XXXX ). XXXX XXXX ) The biggest concern that I had during this Zoom meeting with the admissions personnel ( XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX, was that he required me to apply for a student loan with XXXX XXXX - while we were in the meeting, and with him guiding me on how to complete the application, and occasionally asking me to share my screen so he can view things. I did not have the option to complete the application outside of the meeting and at my own leisure. He wanted it done while on the Zoom call with me. XXXX XXXX ) Once the application was approved for a {$10000.00} loan, I was being contacted by XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) frequently to ensure I went back into the XXXX XXXX website and accepted the loan so they would receive the funds.…
I obtained a private student loan through CreditClimb for enrollment at XXXX XXXX XXXX. After issues with my enrollment, I contacted CreditClimb and requested that they coordinate with the school to return undistributed or refunded funds and update my loan balance accordingly. On or about [ XX/XX/year> ], CreditClimb informed me that this process would take up to 10 days. I relied on that representation. More than 10 days have passed, and no refund or balance adjustment has been completed. I have not received confirmation, documentation, or any meaningful update regarding the status of the funds or communication with the school. Despite my efforts to resolve this directly, the loan balance remains incorrect, and the account has been reported in a way that has caused significant damage to my credit score. The information being reported does not accurately reflect the status of the loan given the pending return of funds.…
