In early XXXX I contacted Coinbase because my account 's send function was XXXX preventing me from transferring my cryptocurrency assets valued at approximately {$65000.00} to my personal hardware wallet. I completed identity verification twice including XXXX separate video calls with Coinbase employees. During my last video call with a Coinbase representative named XXXX he told me there was only XXXX remaining issue and he expected my account to be fully cleared by end of day. Based on that promise I submitted a positive review for him. Instead of receiving confirmation that my account was cleared I received an email on XX/XX/year> stating my send function would remain XXXX until XX/XX/year> with no reason provided. I contacted Coinbase again on XX/XX/year> via their concierge chat service. The agent named XXXX confirmed that the restriction was actively updated that same day meaning a human being deliberately changed my account status after my verification was completed.…

The individual going by the name of XXXX XXXX purported to allege that my account had been compromised. This alleged individual purported that someone from XXXX attempted to access my account. I opened a debit card dispute with Coinbase on XX/XX/XXXX for a fraudulent transaction of {$290.00}. Coinbase has confirmed in writing that the refund was completed on XX/XX/XXXX, and that the case was closed on XX/XX/XXXX. However, I have never received the refund in my account. As of XX/XX/XXXX : The transaction still shows as pending in the Coinbase app It shows as refund pending on the Coinbase website My account balance has never increased by {$290.00} I have contacted Coinbase multiple times, and they continue to state the refund was completed, but they have not provided proof of where the funds were credited. This appears to be a failure to properly post a refund to my account. I am requesting that Coinbase locate the missing refund and credit my account accordingly. Thank you for your help.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I disputed a portion of a {$210.00} charge on XX/XX/XXXX for a refund of a {$15.00} shipping fee that the merchant had charged without notice that a return fee would be applied. A temporary credit of the full amount was applied. The merchant refunded {$190.00}, the full amount less their {$15.00} return fee, in late XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, Coinbase returned that they have ruled in my favor on the {$15.00} fee and reversed the full {$210.00} temporary credit without re-adding the {$15.00} credit ruled in my favor, as well as reversing the {$5.00} in cashback rewards associated with the original charge. On XXXX, after still not seeing the credit on my statement, I called Coinbase, who claimed the charge had been applied but they would escalate for review. After still not seeing it and not hearing back, I called again on XX/XX/XXXX and was told the same thing and that they would reach out with further details.…

I recently bought a XXXX XXXX to keep my assets safe, since Coinbase only insures up to XXXX. I started transferring XXXX because that was what they allowed me. All of a sudden, I get an email saying I can only transfer XXXX a day. I made an appointment with the XXXX service ( I pay for XXXX ) and complained, so they switched back to XXXX daily, only to change it the next day to XXXX a week. I find this to be unfair and unconstitutional. I need to have access to ALL my funds at all times. I'm XXXX and retired. What if I need this for a medical procedure? I have most of my savings in crypto and in Coinbase therefor I need to have access to them.
Dear Coinbase XXXX, I acknowledge your response indicating that you consider this matter closed. For the record, I reiterate that I have not been provided with verifiable ACH documentation to support your claim that a return with code XXXX was generated by my bank. Specifically, no XXXX trace number or equivalent transaction record has been provided despite multiple requests. I have confirmed directly with XXXX XXXX that no XXXX debit from Coinbase for {$5500.00} was ever received or returned. As such, this matter remains unresolved and disputed. This correspondence will be included in my ongoing complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and any additional regulatory review as necessary. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX
I am filing a complaint regarding funds being withheld by Coinbase. Coinbase previously responded to my complaint stating that I am able to transfer my funds off the platform. However, this is not accurate in practice. My account remains restricted, and I am unable to complete any withdrawal or transfer. Each time I attempt to verify my identity or complete a transaction, the system places me in a verification loop that prevents any transaction from being completed. As a result, although Coinbase claims I can transfer my funds, they have not provided any functional method for me to do so. My funds have now been inaccessible for approximately XXXX year. I have contacted Coinbase support multiple times and requested the ability to withdraw my funds, clarification on the restriction, and a working solution. They have not provided a functional method to access my funds.…
I was fraudulently charged for XXXX total gift cards for XXXX XXXX XXXX in the total amount of {$4700.00} on XX/XX/year> on my Coinbase one XXXX credit card. I immediately reported the credit card has stolen as well as dispute of the transaction. Coinbase one initially provided a temporary credit. They reported after further review, the merchant of the credit card ( XXXX gift card ) provide additional documentation that supported the charges. They ultimately charged me for the full amount of {$4700.00} as well as the interest that accrued in that time period of 2 to 3 months that it took them to get back to me. Oddly enough the XXXX gift cards were shipped to my address. I contacted the parent company of XXXX gift card to inquire more about the transaction. They provided me with information that the cards no longer have a balance on them. I find this extremely odd and consistent with fraudulent activity as I still have the cards, but with no pin scratched off or expose.…
I am filing a complaint against Coinbase regarding a disputed ACH transaction and the improper recovery of {$5500.00} in assets from my account. On XX/XX/year>, I purchased {$5500.00} in XXXX using my bank account with XXXX XXXX, which was linked through XXXX. The funds were credited immediately. Coinbase claims that on XX/XX/year>, the XXXX debit was returned with code XXXX ( No Account / Unable to Locate Account ), and based on that claim, they recovered {$5500.00} from my account, including liquidating cryptocurrency assets ( XXXX and XXXX valued over {$750.00} ). However, I contacted XXXX directly, and they confirmed that no XXXX debit from Coinbase for {$5500.00} was ever received, processed, or returned on or around those dates. If no XXXX entry was received by my bank, then no return code could have been generated. Additionally, the account was linked via XXXX, meaning the account and routing information were verified directly with the bank and not manually entered.…
I have been having issues with Coinbase. They keep randomly saying my account is negative after cashing out a prediction then when you contact them they just tell you the same excuse. Were aware of the issue but we dont have a fix for it and not sure how long it will take. Then they dont give you the money
I am writing to formally dispute a series of fraudulent transactions on my Coinbase account and to demand the immediate reversal of those transactions and a full refund of {$20000.00} in cryptocurrency. On XX/XX/XXXX, my phone was stolen in XXXX. The thief gained unauthorized access to my Coinbase account and proceeded to fraudulently transfer all of my cryptocurrency holdings, totaling {$20000.00}. They also made unauthorized deposits of {$10000.00} using my Bank XXXX XXXX account details and fraudulently transferred those funds as well. The fraudulent nature of these transactions should have been apparent. Specifically : My account had been largely inactive since XX/XX/XXXX, with no history of high-volume trading yet the thief executed over XXXX transactions within XXXXXX/XX/XXXX.…
I am submitting this complaint regarding unauthorized access and transactions on my Coinbase account, which resulted in a complete loss of my funds. On or about XX/XX/year>, my account was accessed from an unknown device/location without my authorization. Following this access, my cryptocurrency holdings were liquidated and the proceeds were used to purchase a token labeled XXXX. This token currently shows an approximate balance of {$26000.00} in my account. However, it is not tradable or supported on Coinbase, and I have no ability to convert or withdraw these funds. As a result, this balance is not realizable and represents a complete loss of my original assets. This is not a market loss. My assets were sold and converted without my authorization into an illiquid and unusable token, leaving me with no practical way to recover my funds. I promptly reported this to Coinbase and opened a support case, which was denied within a short period of time.…
I have attempted to contact the company Coinbase.com about accessing my locked out account because they have not given to me my required Tax Form 1099-DA for the purposes of doing my Federal taxes. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this with the company including the submission of my identification information, my account remains locked and my forms are inaccessible. On at least 2 or 3 different occasions I have tried to resolve this situation with customer support and have been given the same story each time. They can not provide me a viable means to restore my account, nor allow me to access my tax information. They claim my identification is not sufficient due to my ID card having only " P.O. box '' without providing reasonable alternatives at proving my identity to Coinbase, and also do not seem willing to allow me to access my tax forms as a result.

I am filing this complaint against Coinbase for engaging in conduct that I believe constitutes unfair, deceptive, and abusive acts and practices, as well as negligent account handling that has caused me financial harm and placed my creditworthiness at risk. This issue began on XX/XX/year>, when I attempted to add funds to my Coinbase account in order to satisfy an outstanding credit obligation. The transaction was immediately placed on hold under the justification of security reasons, preventing timely completion. Recognizing the urgency, I contacted Coinbase support the same day. I was subsequently informed that the transaction had failed and that I needed to initiate another payment. Acting in good faith, I attempted to resolve the balance using my debit card. Although the transaction was processed through my bank, Coinbase again imposed restrictions, ultimately blocking my ability to use any payment method, including my linked bank account and debit card.…
* * Complaint Against Coinbase Unauthorized Transfer of XXXX ETH Following Impersonation and Security Failure * * I am filing a complaint against Coinbase regarding a major security incident that resulted in the loss of approximately XXXX ETH from my account. On XX/XX/year>, I received a text message asking if I was attempting to log into my Coinbase account from Michigan. I did not respond. The following day, I received a phone call from an individual claiming to be from Coinbase XXXX. The caller stated that Coinbase had experienced a prior security breach and that my account had been affected. The caller had detailed information about my account, which made the interaction appear legitimate and raised serious concerns about how this information was obtained. While I believed I was working with Coinbase to secure my account, my account was compromised and XXXX ETH was transferred out.…
Final Statement to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) I am submitting this final statement regarding my complaint against Coinbase. I am not requesting a review for informational purposes ; I am formally demanding remediation and compensation for the financial harm caused by Coinbases misleading platform representations and acknowledged system defects. The core issue in this case is not whether the liquidation transaction occurred on-chain. The issue is that Coinbase presented materially misleading and contradictory information during a time-sensitive, high-volatility event, which impaired my ability to manage my loan position and protect my funds. My ETH purchase confirmation explicitly stated : You can access your ETH immediately on Coinbase. This language communicated that the funds were available for use within the Coinbase platform. However, Coinbase later claimed those same funds were effectively unavailable for collateral management due to a hold period.…
I am filing a complaint regarding Coinbase restricting access to my funds. After contacting Coinbase customer support multiple times ( over XXXX attempts ), I received a message stating that I am no longer eligible to buy cryptocurrency on Coinbase. The message also clearly states that I should still be able to sell, transfer, or withdraw my cryptocurrency. However, despite this statement, both the Send Crypto function and the ability to withdraw funds to my bank account are currently disabled on my account. I was able to sell my cryptocurrency, so the balance is now held in USD on Coinbase, but I can not withdraw the money to my bank account or transfer it elsewhere. This situation effectively prevents me from accessing my own funds. I have attempted to resolve this issue directly with Coinbase support many times but have not received a resolution.
Made a hotel reservation on XX/XX/year> for my XX/XX/year> layover in XXXX on the XXXX platform using my Coinbase credit card for the amount of XXXXXXXX XXXX During my say, early morning hours an unknown person entered my room making a mess in the bathroom and removing my personal belongings from the room. Being extremly tired from traveling only discovered this the morning hours when my connecting flight was already leaving for the US. Having a traumatic experience but no time to report to the local authorites promptly reached out to the host of the property to no response. Then reported the disturbing incident to the hotel platform of XXXX. Their investigation was insufficient and largely dismissive, so decided to report the complete incident to the payment processor of Coinbase as a last resort sharing my final email response to XXXX wtih Coinbase.com. Their disputed transaction process started on XX/XX/year> with Coinbase.…
I have a coin base credit card. There has been fraud on the card and my balance does not match my charges. I have repeatedly tried to contact coin base through their website, app, and multiple phone numbers. I can not get through to anyone. The system always give some error or another even when I triple check my information is correct. It is IMPOSSIBLE to speak to a human at coin base regarding this credit card.
I opened a Coinbase account and deposited {$3000.00}. While I was trading, my account suddenly got restricted and I was asked to complete self-verification. I completed the verification more than XXXX times, but my account is still restricted and the issue has not been resolved. On top of that, I purchased a membership for {$300.00}, but because Coinbase restricted my account, I was unable to use the service at all. I paid for the membership less than an hour before the restriction happened. Your support team is telling me that I can not trade until tomorrow and that the membership can not be refunded. That is completely unreasonable. I paid for a service that I can not even use because of a restriction placed by Coinbase. So am I supposed to just pay for a service I can not use? If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will proceed with filing a formal complaint with the CFPB and other relevant regulators.
I haven't logged into my Coinbase Account for several weeks. My real bank account got overdrawn into the negatives but a refund is on the way. However that will take days. So my friend sent me crypto funds via Coinbase to cover my negative balance so I wouldn't be charged a daily penalty fee for being in the negatives while waiting on the refund. I tried to login into my account. Realized I don't remember my password and the one I have written down isn't working. So I clicked " forgot password '' and... well no email with the verification code came. I waited. Then I tried again. And again. Nothing. I added specific support emails that Coinbase publicly provides to my approved filters. I tried again... still nothing. I tried calling the support line ... can not connect to a human representative at all. While I have no issues with AI ... the steps they gave me were ones I already tried... This ended up turning into a loop.…

" I am a victim of an organized bot-attack on my credit card account ( issued by Cardless/Coinbase ) , resulting from a documented XX/XX/XXXX security breach. Between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, {$720.00} was stolen from my account. I formally reported the fraud on XX/XX/XXXX ( Case # XXXX ). While the physical card was blocked, the company failed to secure the Virtual Card. As a result, {$280.00} that was 'Pending ' at the time of my report has now fully cleared, bringing my total loss to {$720.00}. The Legal Failure : As of XX/XX/XXXX, the company has exceeded the XXXXbusiness-day window to provide Provisional Credit under Federal Regulation E. Instead of refunding these unauthorized charges, the company is using stalling tactics by repeatedly asking for transaction details I already provided in full on XX/XX/XXXX ( Case # XXXX ). They are currently in violation of federal consumer protection timelines. ''

Sold my XXXX and XXXX holdings and immediately used the proceeds to purchase a fraudulent scam token called XXXX ( Contract : XXXX ) which has no legitimate value and is flagged as malicious on Coinbase XXXX own platform ( screenshot attached ). On XX/XX/year>, I was granted a provisional credit of {$160.00} to my Coinbase account related to a transaction or issue I had with Coinbase. I was explicitly told that this credit would be reflected in my account within XXXX business days. However, despite waiting well beyond that timeframe, the funds have not appeared in my account. I contacted Coinbase multiple times, and each time I was assured that the issue was being reviewed and that the credit was likely pending or delayed due to internal processing. I was repeatedly told to wait for updates, with no specific timeline provided. I followed all instructions, checked my Coinbase account, wallet, and email regularly, but the funds have not been credited. This delay has caused me severe hardship, including becoming homeless because I can not pay my rent or secure shelter.…
I sent XXXX to my Coinbase account via XXXX network ( XXXX ). The asset is currently held in a Coinbase-controlled wallet. Coinbase support initially confirmed that engineers would review and credit the funds to my account. However, I am now being forced to use a self-service recovery tool with an extremely high fee ( XXXX ETH / ~ {$4000.00} ). Since Coinbase controls the private keys and custody of the asset, I am requesting a fair resolution such as manual recovery or reasonable fee adjustment. I believe the current recovery fee is excessive and the change in support responses is inconsistent. I request escalation and a reasonable solution.
I have done everything this is XXXX times different payouts it was at XXXX still owing several XXXX dollars the amount was changed countless times and I started screen shots. It almost seems unreal to have the amount of money that I have tied up with the company. I have gone through everything and now they have me at a negative. Based on the last year report I submitted about Coinbase fraud - # XXXX - I received an email from Coinbase about XXXX tax summary yesterday ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I am not certain if the funds are still there or not. I am not sure how to report to IRS that Coinbase was a fraud/ scam via XXXX account. I received an email from Coinbase recommending me to change the password and reclaim what was left in the Coinbase account. I did not do it because my brother in law as a retired FBI agent observed the email and decided that the email might not be authentic.
