I contacted the company XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) that accept the payment on behalf of the Montgomery Ward to settle the account which would be 50 % of the balance and was told the balance is {$480.00} and that Montgomery Ward has not sent any payment updates since XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted Montgomery Ward and was told to have XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX contact them to obtain the correct balance so I can settle the debt. I then called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX back and spoke with XXXX XXXX direct line XXXX ) and was told they don't do that I would have to pay 50 % of the {$480.00} and I explained that is not the correct balance and he said there is nothing he can do and ended the call.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I received the attached letter dated XX/XX/XXXX from Country Door in XXXX, WI. The letter includes an account number. A sentence in the letter says " Due to a lack of activity on your Country Door Credit Account, it will soon be closed, and you'll lose access to your hard-earned credit limit of {$2000.00}. '' I have never requested or authorized a Credit Account with this company. I called the number on the letter on XX/XX/XXXX and asked who opened this Credit Account with them. They did not answer the question. Instead, they used the account number to look up the account and told me that I placed an order for something from them in XX/XX/XXXX. I explained that I did order something from them, but I paid for it with my XXXX XXXX XXXX card. I did not accept any offer of credit from them. I asked again how they opened the Credit Account without my consent, which is fraudulent. The response was that since I have no balance due to them, I have no account.

I have been receiving bills for a Montgomery Ward credit card that I never applied for. When I first received this bill, I tried to call the company and no one answered. There was no automated answering service. There was no way to speak with anyone. I called a few months later and was able to speak to someone and tell them that this was not my credit card, and I needed to know what was purchased and when since it is not on the bill. They only asked me if I wanted to make a payment. I did not. I received another bill in the mail yesterday. This bill has shown up on my credit report as well.

Some of the packages went to, XXXX, and XXXX, and XXXX. I received 5 packages since. I have tried to have them give me return labels. but can not get ant were I also file a fraud alert with the Police. I keep getting packages I did not order. I want it to STOP!!!!!!!! Thank you. They said I could charge up to my limit and not have a payment until after the holidays. So times were tough and I took them up on their offer. I started getting mail saying I was late with a payment. I called Montgomery Ward. I spoke with credit department. The girl said to me " we never sent any letters ". They kept sending late notices. I sent a copy of letter they sent me to credit dept. XXXX nothing. I called after getting " you better pay letter ''. I called. Talked to supervisor XXXX. She said it goes to accounting. I then sent XXXX letters ( the same letter they sent me ). XXXX, XXXX XXXX and a XXXX XXXX is a made up name. XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/year> I received a letter from XXXX XXXX. I had XXXX days to call and tell them what I intended to do to solve the problem basically. So I called the same day and I talked to a XXXX.

I received an alert of a new account for Montgomery Ward opened on file back in XXXX and checked it immediately because I know I didn't open such account. I disputed the account in every way possible online. I disputed the name, address, and the account itself. I called the credit agency at that time I received the report and spoke with an agent and they assured they would follow through on the account. I also called the company Montgomery Ward as well and spoke with a representative to explain what was going on. The representative looked up the account and she in subtle ways verified the address on their file and I explained I have never lived at that address and that I have lived at my current address for over XXXX yrs proving to me that they were indeed speaking of the other individual with the same name who just so happen to live in the same city.

I got an email on XX/XX/2025 of a credit request being approved and an order being shipped. The order was being sent to an address in XXXX XXXX XXXX where I do not live. I noticed that the billing address was under my name and address. I called the company notifying that it was not me and I am a victim of identity theft.They said they will do an investigation taking 30 days. I also froze my credit report for all three credit companies that day. I received a bill in the mail on XX/XX/XXXX that I owed {$25.00}. I immediately called them saying that I will not be paying for the bill since I notified the company on XX/XX/XXXX that was not me opening a store credit account and ordering from them. They again told me it was going to be a 30 day wait for an answer. I have no news yet but I will be sending a letter created on XXXX to the company soon.

I spoke to a representative of Seventh Avenue after receiving a collection notice in the mail in XX/XX/year>. The balance owed is {$270.00}. I provided my information, and I was told my information didn't match anything in the system. I asked the rep how I received a letter. She restated that my information didn't match. The rep never sent me a notice stating my info didn't match their system. Yes, they have my name, date of birth, and ssn, but the address nor phone matched what I provided them. It is still attempting to be collected, however. I have also repeatedly disputed this debt with the credit bureaus, as well, and still have gotten nowhere.

Confused by this, I reached out to inform them that I did not open an account with them, this order should be under my Grandmother 's account. They informed me that my Grandmother needed to send a notarized letter stating that she was in fact responsible for the payment of the item that was ordered. My Grandmother had the notarized letter made on XX/XX/year> and it was sent on XX/XX/year>. On XX/XX/year> I received another bill in the mail for the amount of {$200.00}. I called Seventh Avenue to make a complaint. They said they were sorry and that the account should be closed now. I requested they send me a letter documenting that they have indeed closed the account and that all reporting to a credit agency be removed from my credit report.

I am filling this complaint because Montgomery ward is reporting 60 day and 90 day late payment on my XXXX credit report different days on my XXXX and my XXXX Report that dont seem accurate.The dates dont lineup with my payment history and I was never shown any documentation explaining how they came up with these late marks, the account is currently showing as current terms so I want the bureau and the furniture to fully verify these late payments with actual records, if they cant provide real proof of the exact dates I am requesting that the inaccurate late marks be corrected or removed. I have never opened a credit account with Montgomery Wards and I have never received goods or services from Montgomery Wards. I filed a dispute with Equifax and the FTC and the account was removed from my credit report. I also used the account number on the bill to create a web account with Montgomery Wards and I discovered that the person who opened the credit account listed my actual address as the billing address and the products they ordered were sent to an address in Washington. I have never lived in Washington state and I do not know anyone who resides at this address. I recently received a notice of collections from XXXX XXXX, acting on behalf of Montgomery Wards to collect this debt. I sent them {$100.00} to bring the bill down, I placed another order for only {$190.00}, that left me a bill for {$190.00} + XXXX ... total to be paid {$320.00} ... they went into my account and took out {$25.00} on the next XXXX Bill, I had XXXX to send them {$70.00} ... I have XXXX receipt sending them the {$70.00} ... and also when they took out the twenty-five dollars... They sent me a Bill saying XXXX was behind two payments ... I got the bill, they jumped my bill to over {$400.00} dollars {$410.00} exact ... I told them to correct my true bill, and then they sent me two payments behind ... instead of paying {$7500.00} in back payments... they brought it down to {$5000.00} .. I told them I was not going to pay one dime until they correct my bill... to what I really owe ...

I previously disputed the Montgomery Ward ( XXXX ) account as identity theft/inaccurate information. The account was removed from my XXXX report. However, it was later reinserted without providing me with the required reinsertion notice. This violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), including : 611 ( a ) ( 5 ) ( B ) Reinsertion requirements 605B Identity theft blocking protections No written notice was provided within 5 business days of reinsertion, and I was not given any explanation or documentation supporting reinsertion. I requested investigation documentation and reinsertion notice, but XXXX did not provide it. Reinserting a previously deleted account without proper notice and without investigating new disputes harms my credit, causes scoring drops, and creates confusion for lenders. I am requesting : 1. Permanent deletion of the XXXX account. 2. A block on any future reinsertion. 3. Written confirmation of correction. 4.
