Debt or credit management· Didn't provide services promisedAR

I enrolled approximately {$57000.00} of unsecured debt into Beyond Finances debt resolution program on XX/XX/year> after being told this was the only viable option during a period of financial hardship. I was instructed to stop paying my creditors and instead make biweekly deposits into a dedicated account so the company could negotiate settlements on my behalf. I deposited approximately {$12000.00} into the program. However, approximately {$7000.00} or more was withdrawn in program and settlement fees while only minimal amounts were paid to creditors. My account statements show that large settlement fees were withdrawn immediately following small or minimal creditor payments. For example, a {$100.00} payment to a creditor was followed by a {$2900.00} fee withdrawal the next day. This pattern repeated multiple times, demonstrating that fees were taken prior to, or without, corresponding creditor settlement payments.

I enrolled in a debt relief program with XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/year>. I paid over {$2000.00} for the program through bi-weekly payments of {$320.00}. Despite these payments : The company only applied two payments totaling {$70.00} to one of my credit cards ( XXXX XXXX ). I ended up canceling the program because the pace of payments was too slow, the monthly cost became unaffordable, and the program was not progressing as promised. It appears that the remaining funds have not been applied to any of my accounts and have not been returned to me. While I understand the company charges fees for negotiations and settlements, they only applied two small payments to my account, yet kept the full amount. Additionally, they charged a {$900.00} settlement fee upfront, which I was not clearly informed about. I was led to believe that the fee would be deducted gradually from my monthly payments, not all at once, and especially not before any settlements occurred.

I enrolled in a debt settlement program and was instructed to stop making payments while negotiations were conducted with my creditors. I was led to believe that the resulting late payments would be addressed as part of the settlement process. The accounts have now been settled, but the late payments remain on my credit report and have significantly damaged my credit profile. I am requesting a review of the reporting and assistance correcting the late payment history.

Subject : Failure to Provide Services, Withholding Client Funds, and Causing Financial Harm Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am writing to formally file a complaint against Beyond Finance regarding their handling of my debt settlement account and the serious financial and emotional harm this situation has caused me. I initially hired Beyond Finance because I wanted to responsibly pay off my credit card debt. During the enrollment process, I was clearly told that if I made consistent paymentsand especially if I made higher paymentsI would be able to resolve my credit card debts faster. Based on these representations, I trusted their program and began making the required payments as instructed. When I first entered into this program my credit was XXXX, they told me that my core would drop for a little at the beginning 3 months later my credit was at XXXX, For a period of time, I believed everything was proceeding as planned.

I enrolled in a debt resolution program with Beyond Finance. The fee structure and program terms were not clearly explained during enrollment. I later learned that the company charges approximately 25 % of the enrolled debt as program fees regardless of the negotiated settlement outcome. This was not clearly disclosed during the enrollment call. A significant amount of money has been withdrawn from my account, and I am requesting a review of the recorded enrollment call, a full itemized breakdown of fees, and an adjustment or refund of disputed charges. I believe the service may have been misrepresented and I am requesting regulatory review and assistance resolving the matter.

I want to report XXXX XXXX for fraud. I move to them a year ago. They made me a list of promises, showed me paperwork, said I'm paying for lawyers to help me with my debts and make sure no one is able to come after me. They added all my accounts no problem at all. The lawyers never responded to me. No one would tell me how to contact them besides an email to submit paperwork. I asked them repeatedly for months to deal with XXXX of my accounts. They kept making promises or brushing me off. A few months ago they took out over {$800.00} from the account, gave me some weird excuses that it's for future fees so it frees up what can be paid to debts. They tried to take even more after that until i complained After early XXXX they finally had a deal with the XXXX company, that I wasn't able to meet. After that they dropped the account from the program. Refused to protect me. I didn't find this out until XXXX weeks ago when i learned from my work that my wages are being garnished.

Summary of Complaint I am filing this complaint against Beyond Finance for deceptive, misleading, and predatory debt settlement practices that caused me significant financial harm. Beyond Finance induced me to enroll in its program based on representations that my debts would be resolved for substantially less than what I would ultimately be required to pay. In reality, the programs structure caused me to pay more than the promised settlement amount and nearly as much as my original debt, while multiple accounts remained unsettled. Statement of Facts Original Debt Amount The total unsecured debt enrolled in the Beyond Finance program was {$100000.00}. Representations Made by Beyond Finance Beyond Finance represented that my enrolled debts could be resolved within 30 months for a total cost of {$54000.00}. This representation was a material factor in my decision to enroll in the program. Payments Made I paid a total of {$60000.00} into the program.

I participated in a debt settlement program administered by Beyond Finance with funds held in a dedicated Special Purpose Account through XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, {$820.00} the entire remaining balance of my escrow account was withdrawn and labeled as a settlement fee, reducing my account balance to {$0.00}. There was no creditor payment, no settlement agreement, and no settlement approval on that date. My account statement already reflects individual settlement fees charged at the time of prior settlements between XXXX and XXXX. This {$820.00} was taken separately at program exit and does not correspond to any creditor settlement. When I contacted Beyond Finance, I was first told the amount was a scheduled program fee. I was later told that they moved all fees to the end. After further inquiry, they claimed the fee was related to a debt allegedly cancelled in XXXX. However, a cancelled debt is not a settled debt and does not generate an earned settlement fee.

Ladies and Gentlemen : I am writing to formally dispute fees charged to my account and to demand an immediate refund, full accounting, and supporting documentation related to my participation in the Beyond Finance debt resolution program. I enrolled in your program over two years ago and fully complied with all guidelines provided. I entrusted Beyond Finance to assist with the resolution of three ( 3 ) debt accounts. Despite my compliance and payment of fees totaling approximately 25 % of my enrolled debt, the following occurred : - Two ( 2 ) accounts were not resolved and proceeded to litigation, requiring me to appear in court. - I was instructed to obtain ( through additional party associated with Beyond Finance ) a loan due to litigation, despite having relied on Beyond Finance 's services to avoid this outcome. - One ( 1 ) account was represented as paid in full, yet I was subsequently served with a summons, which raises serious concerns.

Beyond Finance is a terrible debt settlement agency that promised me to provide a lawyer for me in case of legal action from my creditors and not doing so, failing to properly negotiate with my creditors ( accepting the first amount offered by the creditor instead of negotiating ), letting lawsuits be filed against me, promising me documents that never arrive in my email inbox, and charging you for the displeasure.

Beyond Finance did not negotiate my debts down as the credit card debt I had was charged off. I repeatedly ask for the debts to be removed from the program, so they could not charge me any fees. About a week later on XX/XX/year>, I received a notification that they had received an offer letter to settle my debt with two of the creditors I asked to be removed. They did this to say that they did work or negotiated on the account and to charge me for doing so. I again called to have the accounts removed and customer service said they could not be removed. They again told me a specialized team would have to do it. I spoke with through a rep via chat and again would not remove the accounts. The specialized team puts pressure on you to keep the count open and threatens with fees. I requested the accounts be removed before work was completed and have no interest in staying in the program because the accounts are charged off.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Beyond Finance regarding the debt consolidation services I received. I believe the fees I was charged are not commensurate with the assistance provided, and I seek your intervention in this matter. I have already filed a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX, with the ID # XXXX. The debt with XXXX was written off in XX/XX/XXXX and was subsequently settled for {$14000.00} in XX/XX/XXXX. For their services in this process, Beyond Finance has charged me a fee of {$8000.00}. I find this fee to be excessive and not justified by the level of assistance I received from the company. The resolution of my largest debt appears to have been largely independent of their direct efforts, and as such, I do not believe the fees are warranted.

I know theyre just sitting on my money as long as they can, for interest gains. They also are very misleading in their fees that they charge. I do not recommend!!! Heed this warning.

Company states their debt resolution fee is 25 %. However, their contract states b ) Estimated Annualized Cost of the Debt Resolution Program : On Clients estimated program term of months, Company estimates that the annualized fee for Companys services to Client will be approximately 6.25 % of Clients enrolled debt. This makes it sound like fees are 6.25 % per year. I have been part of a debt resolution program for a few years now. Throughout this process I asked several times for them to explain the fee and how they make money.
