I am writing to formally dispute the above-referenced account and to request its immediate deletion from my consumer credit reports. This dispute is based not merely on disagreement with the balance, but on the * * inability of the furnisher to verify the account with complete and accurate information as required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). After reviewing your response, it is clear that your investigation relied exclusively on information provided by the original creditor without addressing material facts that directly impact the accuracy and completeness of the account. Specifically : 1. * * Admitted Billing Error by Creditor * * The creditor has acknowledged that the original tuition rate applied to my account was incorrect and required adjustment. This admission calls into question the overall accuracy and integrity of the balance being reported. 2.…

In XXXX I enrolled in a course with the university but was never provided access to the course platform or instructional materials required to participate in the class. The collector states they sent a validation notice the following day and claims the debt was verified by the creditor. I disputed the debt because the underlying service was never delivered. I am the spouse of a XXXX, and I previously went back to XXXX for my XXXX XXXX XXXX under chapter XXXX. I graduated last year in 2025. I was told by I had received a letter from the department of Treasury saying I owed a balance. When I contacted the XXXX, they stated there was a clerical error I had a XXXX balance. I since verified again through the XXXX again that it was a clerical error and I didn't owe anything, however. The Department of Treasury sent the balance to collection. I have proof I do not owe this balance. In fact, I am owed the payment I made to them for their mistake. I just want this situation made right and the balance removed from collections.
I can not stress enough how frustrating and distressing this situation has been. I discovered a debt on my credit report that I have no knowledge of and do not recognize. This account remains unverified and does not belong to me. Since its appearance, I have been subjected to repeated communications and collection attempts through multiple channels, including threats of potential legal action. This is extremely concerning and unacceptable. As a law-abiding consumer, I find it deeply troubling that my rights appear to be disregarded in this matter. The stress caused by this situation has taken a serious toll on my well-being, including significant anxiety and sleepless nights.

I am submitting this complaint regarding the way this collection agency is reporting alleged debt on my consumer spending report.
