Debt collection· Took or threatened to take negative or legal actionCA

I was notified that my credit card account with XXXX XXXX opened on or around XX/XX/year>, was charged off and allegedly all rights, title and interest to/in the contract and associated debt was assigned to CCS ( credit corp solutions inc ) . I had disputed the account with the credit bureaus, and the dispute was closed claiming it was valid. Months later I started receiving persistent ( daily up to monthly ) correspondence from a company called XXXX who allegedly was contacting me on behalf of CCS. Seeing that this was already the fourth entity regarding the same debt, I felt there was a break in the chain of title and I requested proof that they in fact had been assigned and thereby had standing to collect the debt they claimed I owed to them. I sent three notices requesting the same thing, with a final notice sent today, XX/XX/XXXX.

Credit Corp Solutions is reporting a collection account on my credit reports that has been re-aged in violation of the FCRA. The account ending in XXXX originally from XXXX XXXX has been reported with an updated balance every single month making the debt appear more recent than it actually is. This constitutes re-aging which artificially extends how long negative information appears on my credit report and damages my credit score. I have disputed this account with all three credit bureaus. I am requesting that Credit Corp Solutions immediately cease re-aging this account and correct the reporting or delete it.

Under the federal law of the Department of Nevada and other states. Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and the Fair Reporting Act ( FCRA ). The credit collection agency must report the validation of the original debt within 15 days. We have checked the three credit bureaus, and we have no report of any debt with you. We have communicated with XXXX, your original lending agency, and they informed us that this debt was reported as lost to the IRS, with which we also had communication, to obtain more information. If the debt was reported as lost to the IRS, how is it possible that your agency, Credit Corp Solution Inc., is charging my client a debt that has already been reported as lost? We demand under these laws that you have a period of 15 to 30 days to obtain full validation of the debt at your physical address. If this information is not obtained or does not exist, we urgently demand the closure of the debt and the sending of physical documentation.

Complaint Statement : I am disputing an account reported by Credit Corp Solutions that is not mine. I only had one XXXX XXXX account. I have no contract, account, or relationship with this company. I request that CFPB investigate this matter, require Credit Corp Solutions to verify ownership, assignment, balance, and Date of First Delinquency, and remove or correct this account immediately if verification can not be provided.
