I am filing a complaint against multiple debt collection agencies for potential violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). After disputing the alleged debts and requesting validation under 15 U .S.C. 1692g, the companies failed to provide sufficient documentation showing that I am legally responsible for the accounts. They did not produce essential records such as a signed agreement, proof of ownership or assignment, a full account history, or evidence of their authority to collect. Despite this, they appear to have continued collection efforts and may have reported the accounts to credit bureaus without properly verifying the information.…

At the same time, this account has been reported to credit reporting agencies and was recently verified by XXXX without proper documentation being provided to me. I am filing a complaint regarding inaccurate credit reporting and failure to comply with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). On XX/XX/year>, I sent a written debt validation request to Debt Recovery Solutions , LLC regarding account number XXXX. In that letter, I requested full validation of the alleged debt, including a signed agreement, payment history, and proof of their authority to collect. To date, I have received no response to this validation request. At the same time, I disputed this account with the consumer reporting agencies. Despite the lack of any validation provided to me, the account was verified by the furnisher. This raises serious concerns regarding compliance with federal law : 1. Under FDCPA 1692g ( b ), a debt collector must cease collection activity until validation is provided. Continued reporting of a debt to consumer reporting agencies constitutes collection activity. 2.…
I recently discovered a collection account reported by Debt Recovery Solutions on my credit report that I do not recognize. The account is being reported with inaccurate information, including listing the collection agency as the original creditor. I have not received any documentation showing that this account was opened using my Social Security number or that I am legally responsible for this debt. I have requested validation of the alleged debt and proof that the account belongs to me. Until proper verification is provided, this account should not be reported on my credit file. I am requesting that Debt Recovery Solutions provide full documentation verifying the debt or remove the account from my credit report with all credit bureaus.
This complaint concerns a collection account being reported by Debt Recovery Solutions. I previously disputed this account and requested proper debt validation because the amount being reported appears incorrect. The company responded by sending a credit agreement from XXXX showing a {$1000.00} line of credit signed in XXXX. However, this document does not validate the balance currently being reported and collected, which is {$3200.00}. I specifically requested documentation showing the amount being collected and how the balance was calculated. The company did not provide any account statements, payment history, itemized balance calculation, charge-off balance, or documentation explaining how the balance increased from the original credit line to {$3200.00}. I also requested documentation showing the date of default, the date of charge-off, and proof that Debt Recovery Solutions has legal ownership or assignment of the account and the right to collect this debt.…

On XX/XX/2026, XXXX accessed my consumer credit report for a credit application that I did not submit or authorize. I did not apply for any loan or credit product with this company on that date or at any time. At the time of the inquiry, my credit file was protected by an active security freeze and fraud alert. These protections require creditors to complete additional identity verification steps before accessing a consumers credit report. I was never contacted for verification, nor did I provide authorization. Because no verification occurred, I believe this inquiry was the result of fraud or identity theft. On XX/XX/, an account began reporting on my credit reports in connection with this matter. I do not recognize this debt. Within 30 days of becoming aware of the account, I requested debt validation and asked for proof of the debts validity and the companys legal authority to collect and report it. I've been receiving phone calls for over a year from callers, stating different names of several different payday loan companies for a XXXX dollar pay day loan debt. I checked my credit reports and nobody accessed my credit to approve a loan, so I thought it was a scam. I was also suspicious because the payday loan company name chain changed several different times with the different phone calls. Once it turned to a so called creditor i was able to look up and address which turned out to be a storage unit in XXXX XXXX state. They are now trying to collect XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX dollars. And it is showing up on my credit report. I have been dealing with Debt Recovery Solutions , LLC for months trying to resolve a medical debt that was paid off. I would call and they would direct me to another company saying the medical provider needed to reach out to the first company the medical debt was sent to. I asked for validation of the debt in XXXX and they said they would not be able to provide it until the provider reached out. I received documentation of all bills being paid via the hospital and called in to see who I needed to send the information to and they provided a false email that did not work. After going on the provided website, I noticed there was no means besides a number to contact the company in regards to the debt. The amount was stated as {$2000.00} sent via a letter on XX/XX/year>. I contacted the hospital as soon as the letter came in and they said there was no balance on the account and they do not know why years later this debt would be coming up.…
I received a call from an unknown phone number on my mobile phone line and I answered the call. I connected and said, " hello ''. There was a brief pause then the caller asked in a very heavy, almost unintelligible XXXX accent, " May I speak with XXXX XXXX ''. ( I will point out that my name was horrendously mispronounced, indicating to me that this was likely a solicitation call of some sort. ) I started to to reply, " may I ask who's calling '' but before I could get the first two words out of my mouth the gentleman abruptly disconnected the call. I did not receive any message stating the caller was from a debt collection company, he never told me his name or where he was calling from or why. Just ask if he could speak with me then hung up. I only found out the name of the company by returning the call. When I looked at the history I see that they had previously called.…

Debt collector DRS has illegally re-aged a collection account and furnished false credit information, resulting in an approximately XXXX drop in my XXXX XXXX. As shown in Exhibit C, DRS is reporting this account as newly opened on XX/XX/XXXX, with fabricated terms ( 1 Month ), a false past-due status of XX/XX/XXXX, a balance update of XX/XX/XXXX, and an estimated removal date of XX/XX/XXXX. This reporting creates artificial recency and materially misrepresents the age and delinquency status of the account. The debt existed and was delinquent prior to XX/XX/XXXX. Additional documentation shows the same obligation was already being reported as delinquent by XXXX XXXX XXXX as of XX/XX/XXXX. Transferring or selling a debt does not permit resetting the Date of First Delinquency or reporting the account as newly opened.…
