Student loan· Incorrect information on your reportGA

I am filing this complaint against EDFinancial Services for reporting inaccurate and inconsistent payment history on my student loan account in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). My credit report shows that this account was reported as XXXX days past due in XX/XX/XXXX. However, the same payment history reflects that there were no late payments reported in the months immediately prior ( XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX ). It is not logically or factually possible for an account to progress to XXXX days delinquent without first being reported as XXXX and XXXX days late. This inconsistency demonstrates that the payment history being reported is inaccurate, incomplete, or not properly verified. I formally disputed this inaccurate reporting, but EDFinancial failed to correct the issue and continues to report inconsistent and misleading information.

I am filing a complaint regarding inaccurate payment reporting and account records on my student loans with Edfinancial Services. I made multiple payments toward my student loans, including paying off XXXX loans in full. I have documentation including bank statements, email confirmations, messages from Edfinancial confirming receipt of payments, and a paid-in-full letter for XXXX of the loans. However, when I recently logged into my account, it incorrectly shows that no payments have been made. My payment history appears to be missing, and my loan balances are not reflecting the payments I have already made. Additionally, this account has been removed from my credit report, which raises further concerns about inaccurate reporting. I have already submitted all supporting documentation to Edfinancial, but the issue has not been resolved.

I am writing to report a recurring error and a failure to maintain accurate records. Following my previous dispute, Edfinancial correctly updated my credit files on XX/XX/year>2026, at which point the delinquencies were removed and my reports were accurate. However, as of XX/XX/year>2026, these same inaccurate marks have been re-inserted into my credit file. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, once a piece of information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete, it must be blocked from reappearing. This 'ping-pong ' reporting is causing me continued and unnecessary financial harm, and I request that you not only delete these marks immediately but also ensure that your reporting system is permanently updated to prevent this error from recurring for aXX/XX/XXXX time.

I was told that my XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX would transfer to other accredited institutions, including XXXX and other XXXX XXXX schools. After graduating, I discovered this was false. My credits were not accepted by any accredited institution, forcing me to start my education over from the beginning. This caused significant financial harm, including taking on and repaying over {$30000.00} in federal student loans over many years, including interest. I submitted a borrower defense application detailing these misrepresentations and the financial harm I experienced. However, I received a response stating that my application was being closed because my loans had already been paid in full or discharged. This response failed to evaluate my claim on its merits.

I am submitting this complaint regarding inaccurate credit reporting by Edfinancial Services on my federal student loan accounts. In XXXX my loans were placed into repayment status and I was not aware that payments had been triggered until I received a notice in XX/XX/XXXX. After receiving that notice I contacted Edfinancial immediately. At that time the loans were placed into temporary deferment while my request for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was reviewed. My request was later approved and my loans are now in authorized forbearance through XX/XX/XXXX. Because the loans qualified for forbearance, payments are not required during this period. Despite this, Edfinancial reported XXXX day late payments to the credit bureaus for the period of XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. This reporting does not accurately reflect the account status because the loans ultimately qualified for forbearance and should not have been reported as delinquent during that timeframe.

I've contacted Edfinancial multiple times since XXXX and submitted a new idr application in XXXX as requested by the agent so I could be removed from the XXXX plan forbearance and have payments count towards forgiveness. I also feel I was misled by the college and charged more than what was required and I'm unsure if the credits were transferred correctly. At this time I have submitted a Borrowers defense application as well. In regards to Edfinancial I believe legal action needs to be taken because I've received false information from every contact event. I was also given incorrect payment options that could have eliminated my time towards forgiveness and caused major financial hardship. Something has to be done because I do not believe any of the loan information or payback information has been calculated correctly. How can any information be trusted if there's different info provided with every agent?

I am submitting this complaint regarding negative credit reporting on my federal student loans serviced by Edfinancial. In XX/XX/year>, a XXXX delinquency was reported on my account. During that period I was in the process of relocating and unfortunately missed several communications regarding the account. Prior to this incident I had maintained a strong credit history and all of my other credit accounts have been paid as agreed. After noticing the delinquency on my credit report, I contacted Edfinancial and requested a review of the account to determine whether a retroactive deferment, forbearance, or other relief option could apply to the period in question. The responses I received stated that goodwill adjustments are not permitted and provided general explanations of reporting policies. However, the responses did not indicate that a detailed review was conducted to determine whether any borrower protections or relief options may have applied during that time.

Two of my loans from Ed financial ( loans 1 and 6 ) are caught up on payments until the next due date ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I received a letter in the mail saying these 2 loans have 0 payments made and are about to go into collections. My account on the website also reflected this despite being caught up. I have proof that the loans are caught up and that the full payments were taken from my bank account. The full payment I made of {$160.00} was also changed on Ed financials website to say I only paid {$75.00} to different loans ( loans 4 and 10 ) while my bank statement shows they took the full payment of {$160.00}, as well as every other payment I made before this. I never received any refunds or anything ; every payment I made was received by ed financial. When I called to ask when this issue would be fixed they told me the loans were 400+ days past due, despite the fact that I have proof they are not. When I pointed this out they told me theyd call me back and they never did.

Subject : Goodwill Adjustment Request Student Loan Credit Reporting To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to respectfully request a goodwill adjustment regarding the negative credit reporting associated with my student loan account. Over the past several years, I experienced profound personal hardship that significantly affected my financial stability. During this time, I suffered the heartbreaking loss of my mother as well as my spouse/partner. These losses created an emotional and financial burden that made it extremely difficult for me to maintain my normal financial obligations. While I take full responsibility for my student loan account, these circumstances deeply impacted my ability to keep up with payments during that period. My intention has always been to honor my obligations, and I regret any negative reporting that occurred as a result of these hardships. Since then, I have taken meaningful steps to stabilize my financial situation.

I am submitting this complaint regarding my federal student loan account serviced by Edfinancial Services and the inaccurate late payment reporting that has negatively impacted my credit. My student loans were previously in forbearance. When the forbearance period ended in XX/XX/year>, I was not properly notified that payments had resumed. At the time, my loan servicer had an incorrect mailing address on file, which included my old apartment number. Because of this error, I did not receive any mailed notices indicating that my payments were due again. I only became aware that payments had resumed after my credit score dropped significantly due to reported 90-day late payments on my credit report. Prior to this, I had every intention of keeping my account current and had no knowledge that the forbearance had ended. Once I discovered the issue, I immediately began making my required payments and have remained current on the account since that time.
