Payday loan, title loan, personal loan, or advance loan· Problem with the payoff process at the end of the loanTX

In XX/XX/XXXX I obtained a consumer loan from BMG Money ( serviced by BMG XXXX ). The original loan amount was {$2000.00} with payments scheduled bi-weekly. On XX/XX/XXXX the loan was paid in full, and the account balance was satisfied. My loan documentation clearly reflects PAID IN FULL XX/XX/XXXX. BMG_Loan_Documents However, BMG has failed to properly update the account status with the credit reporting agencies. My credit reports continue to show an outstanding balance of approximately {$1700.00} instead of a {$0.00} balance with a paid or closed status. I disputed the inaccurate reporting with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX recently responded that they contacted the furnisher but declined to update the account. Despite the dispute process, BMG continues to report outdated or incomplete information. This is inaccurate and harmful because it makes it appear that I still owe money on an account that has already been fully satisfied.

I am filing a complaint regarding repeated and excessive phone calls from this company while attempting to collect an alleged debt. Over the past several days I have received approximately XXXX calls per day from this company. The calls are coming from multiple different phone numbers, which appears to be an attempt to bypass call blocking. I have answered several of the calls and clearly told the representatives multiple times to stop calling me and to communicate with me in writing instead. Despite these requests, the calls have continued repeatedly throughout the day. At this point I have received well over XXXX calls after telling them to stop contacting me by phone. This level of repeated calling is disruptive and appears to be harassment. Using multiple phone numbers to continue contacting me after I have requested that the calls stop is unacceptable.

Payday loan, title loan, personal loan, or advance loan· Struggling to pay your loanNC

This company advertises loans for federal employees with the option to refinance. My account says that I needed to make XXXX payments to be qualified to refinance my loan. I have made well over thirty payments and when I try to refinance, the website says they do not offer loans to federal employees. My interest rate is astronomical, seemingly has increased and the loan is predatory. I need to refinance to be able to pay it.

Payday loan, title loan, personal loan, or advance loan· Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problemMN

I disputed a loan account reported by BMG LoansAtWork ( on behalf of XXXX ) because I believe the information being reported is inaccurate and unvalidated. I submitted a written dispute requesting documentation showing how the account and balance were validated. On XX/XX/year> BMG responded by email stating they found no inaccuracies, but they did not provide any supporting documentation such as a contract, account statements, payment history, or an itemization of the balance. Despite my dispute, the tradeline remains on my credit reports unchanged. Because BMG did not provide evidence to support its conclusion, I do not believe a reasonable investigation was conducted as required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. A generic statement that the information is accurate, without documentation, does not resolve the dispute or validity the reporting.

Company : BMG Loans/ BMG Money Issue Type : Debt collection / Loan servicing / Improper credit practices Complaint Narrative I am submitting this complaint regarding BMG Moneys improper handling of my loan account, including sending my account to an outside collection agency without prior notification and without providing me the opportunity to verify or dispute the accuracy of the alleged balance. I was directly affected by workforce cuts, resulting in a salary reduction of approximately {$23000.00} annually. Despite this significant financial hardship, I remained in constant communication with BMG loan representatives, advising them of my situation and making payments to the extent I was financially able. At no time did I refuse to pay or avoid my obligation. As communicated to BMG, reduced income is still income, and I acted in good faith throughout this period.

Payday loan, title loan, personal loan, or advance loan· Loan payment wasn't credited to your accountNC

I am filing this complaint against BMG Money for inaccurately reporting a delinquent payment for XX/XX/year>, which has resulted in a negative mark on my credit report despite the payment being successfully withdrawn from my bank account. On XX/XX/year>, BMG Money debited {$40.00} from my checking account via debit card. My attached XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX statement confirms that this transaction posted successfully and that sufficient funds were available in my account at the time of the payment. There was no insufficient funds notice, rejection, or failed transaction recorded by my bank. More than a month later, on XX/XX/year>, BMG Money reversed this same {$40.00} payment. I did not request this reversal, did not dispute the charge, and did not initiate any stop payment. The reversal appears to have been initiated internally by BMG Money. Only one payment was refunded, further confirming that the original debit was processed.

On Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX, it came to my attention that my personal loan with BMG Money was overpaid when I was reviewing my paystubs. I contacted BMG Money by both phone and email multiple times and they stated there were XXXX ( XXXX ) overpayments of my loan and that a refund check would be mailed out, but that there was no set time frame for the refund check to be sent out. I have followed up once a week for XXXX months and it is now Monday, XX/XX/XXXX. 60 days is more than a reasonable amount of time to wait. It is unacceptable to have no set time frame for the refund and there was also no documentation or proof provided that those were the only refunds necessary on my loan. I am now demanding immediate attention to this matter. Please immediately review my loan account, provide documentation that the amount of the refund ( s ) is correct, and send the refund immediately to my bank account. I am filing this complaint due to ongoing payment mismanagement, improper collection activity, and persistent miscommunication by BMG Money. On XX/XX/year>, due to an error on my payrolls end, my entire paycheck was incorrectly applied to my BMG Money loan payment, resulting in an overpayment of approximately {$1600.00}. I immediately notified BMG Money and was advised that a reimbursement would be issued. While I waited for this reimbursementfrom XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, XXXXBMG Money continued withdrawing bi-weekly loan payments from my debit card on file without issue. This confirms that my payment authorization and account information were active and functioning properly during this entire period. I ultimately received the reimbursement check on XX/XX/year>. Notably, on that same date, BMG Money also successfully withdrew another loan payment from my debit card.

I am submitting this complaint regarding BMG Moneys debt collection practices, which violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). On the same morning, I received repeated telephone calls from BMG Money, including calls at approximately XXXXXXXX XXXX and again at XXXXXXXX XXXX The calls were less than XXXX hour apart and constitute harassment through repeated or continuous calls in violation of 15 U.S.C. 1692d. In addition, BMG Money left a voicemail in which a representative used insulting and abusive language, including referring to me as a fool. This conduct violates 15 U.S.C. 1692d ( 2 ), which prohibits the use of obscene, profane, or abusive language in connection with the collection of a debt. These actions caused distress and demonstrate a pattern of harassing behavior. I have preserved call logs and the voicemail as evidence.

Although I now reside in XXXX, I was a XXXX resident at the time this loan was originated and the loan extended to me as a XXXX consumer. I am a government employee. I obtained a personal loan from BMG Money with an APR of 35.99 %. I borrowed {$5000.00} and have already paid approximately {$1900.00}, primarily through mandatory payroll deductions. Under XXXX law, personal loan interest rates are capped at 24 % unless a lender is properly licensed and exempt. The interest rate on this loan exceeds XXXX legal limits and appears to be usurious and predatory. The use of payroll deductions significantly limited my ability to manage my finances and created financial hardship. Much of my payments have gone toward interest rather than principal.

BMG Money requires installment payments listed in the loan contract to be remitted by payroll deduction. There is no other option to pay. Because of this, if any payroll amounts are processed outside of your normal payroll schedule, those funds are sent to BMG Money. An unexpected bonus of {$100.00} was processed through my payroll on XXXX XXXXXX/XX/year> and the loan payment amount of {$75.00} was sent to XXXX as they are listed to be paid first from any payroll amount and the remainder to me. XX/XX/XXXX is NOT a regular payroll date. I called a requested a refund. I was told that the process takes XXXX business days. During that timeframe, there would be a XXXX holiday date of XX/XX/XXXX placing the completion of the refund approval by XX/XX/XXXX. During this time, I called several times to check the status of the refund with at least XXXX representative stating a XXXX business day timeframe.

I am filing a complaint because BMG Money has failed to refund an overpayment that was taken my paycheck through a federal allotment. On XX/XX/year>, I spoke to a representative that insured me that the overpayment was processed and will take a few weeks. They acknowledged the overpayment and stated the refund would be issued. Since that date, I have contacted BMG Money multiple times. Each time, the company claims they are experiencing technical difficulties and that the refund will be processed soon. As of today, XX/XX/year>, I have still not received the refund. It has now been more than 30 days past the date they received the funds, and BMG Money has provided no confirmation, no processing timeline, and no proof that the refund is being issued. This delay is causing financial hardship because the payment was suppose to be used to pay bills I have as of right now. I am still actively paying my loan on time, so this is not a payoff issue.

Dear CFPB, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally request a review of my account due to a recent and unexpected financial hardship. My current employer has implemented budget cuts, which have significantly impacted my income. As a result, I am struggling to keep up with my financial obligations. I recently noticed that I was charged XXXX for the same item or service, which I was unaware of at the time. This duplicate charge has further strained my finances and made it even more difficult to make timely payments. I am doing my best to stay afloat in a city where the cost of living and taxes continue to rise. Despite my efforts, I am now in a position where catching up on this account feels impossible. I respectfully request that this account be either removed or the balance reduced, as continuing to carry this debt is creating an unsustainable burden.

The nature of my complaint is that these companies are engaged in practices that abuse consumers, including myself : violating my rights under the Truth in Lending Act ( TILA ), specifically 15 U.S.C. 1640 ( f ) ( 2 ), which limits consumer liability for unauthorized use of a credit card including driver license. Debt Collectors are attempting to collect on debts that are old, inaccurate, or that have been previously written off and sold by the original creditor, a practice that can be deceptive. These practices violate Section 5 of the FTC Act, which prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices. I am providing this information to urge the FTC to investigate this entire ecosystem that profits from inaccurate data and causes significant harm to consumers. 1. On XX/XX/XXXX, {$1400.00} from my paycheck was misapplied and applied in full to my loan instead of being split between my personal account and the loan payment. Shortly thereafter, an additional {$200.00} was also withdrawn and applied to the loan. Both transactions are documented in the screenshot provided. This error was not the fault of BMG Money, but of my payroll department. I immediately contacted BMG Money to correct the issue, and while I was informed of a policy update regarding refunds, I never received any written notification of this change. I was initially told, and have written confirmation, that the refund would be issued via direct deposit. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email stating my refund request had been approved ; however, I was then informed it would be sent via check instead of direct deposit.
