I am filing a complaint regarding the improper charge-off of my account. I was explicitly told that my account needed to be brought current by XX/XX/2026. On that exact date, I submitted a payment through GreenSkys official payment portal to bring the account current and even went forth with scheduled auto payments of $ XXXX to ensure I never get behind again and keep my account current. The payment was initiated on time and in good faith reliance on the stated deadline. However, because the payment posted on XX/XX/2026 - due to processing time outside of my control - GreenSky charged off the account. Additionally, I had previously made a {$100.00} payment around the XXXX mark at the direction of a GreenSky representative to demonstrate account activity and avoid negative action. I made every reasonable effort to comply with their requirements and prevent charge-off. Penalizing me for standard payment processing timing is unfair and not reflective of my actions.

I opened up a {$14000.00} project loan through XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX for a privacy fence. I have been paying {$260.00} per month every since. Each month, I receive a {$150.00} finance change, which I feel had been really ridiculous causing me to make no headway towards closing this account with a XXXX balance. As a result, as of today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I still owe {$13000.00}. I have complained to this company in their online email portal at least XXXX different times over the past XXXX and half years. Is there anyway I can get out of this loan agreement without the need to file bankruptcy. This is the only account that I have ever had that seems to have ballooned in this manor.

I am disputing charges related to an HVAC installation financed through this account. The contractor failed to deliver the services as agreed. The installation was defective and incomplete, required multiple corrective visits, and never reached substantial completion. Several contract-required items were not installed, and the air-conditioning portion of the system was never tested or commissioned. Safety and code-related concerns were present throughout the installation. The contractor acknowledged in writing that the workmanship, repeated return visits, incomplete items, and safety concerns were unacceptable, but offered only a minimal refund unrelated to the unearned labor. I requested a full refund of installation and workmanship charges. I have obtained an independent HVAC evaluation confirming that the deficiencies are related to installation workmanship and failure to meet manufacturer installation and commissioning requirements, not equipment defects.

I signed an agreement with XXXX XXXX to remodel my bathroom. In order to receive 18 months in interest free financing they had me sign up with Greensky to bridge the amount that would be due after writing XXXX a check. At that time, I wrote them a check for a large sum of money and received a " loan '' from Greensky for the remaining balance of the what was due. XXXX then took {$3700.00} from that account with Greensky and days later went out of business and I have received no service, or remodel work from XXXX. Now, Greensky continues to send me emails about the {$3700.00} that they think I owe. I have informed Greensky that XXXX took their money, I have received no service at all for that money and that they need to go after XXXX for the {$3700.00}. I still continue to be contacted about this. I feel that this should fall under the XXXX XXXX and because of this should not be held liable for the money that XXXX took.

In XXXX of of XXXX. I filled out a prequlify application for a home repair loan. I was offered an amount but rejected it. A few weeks later I recieved letters saying I have a full line of credit and suggested payments and strategies. I never agreed to a full line of credit. It was a pre-qualify to see IF I could get it. Anyway, after they claimed it was closed and I demanded that all infromation unless dictated by law needs to be deleted and I do not consent to my info being sold or given out. I have a letter saying the account was closed. I recieved yet another letter today XX/XX/XXXX of them stating that will be selling my information without my consent. I have called several times on XX/XX/XXXX they continue to hang up on me.

Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX, a salesman, XXXX, and a partner, XXXX, showed up for an appointment I requested through XXXX for an estimate on a replacement door. The advertizement said a percentage off special was running. I asked for an estimate for other windows while they were here to check some prices. They gave me an estimate of about XXXX and said the promotional % would be removed after credit approval. I think the promotion was 50 % off or buy XXXX, get XXXX free ; I can not recall now. I did allow them to run my credit and I was approved for the entire purchase but did not ever receive the actual estimate in writing. I was at this time offered the option for a year with no interest and was told my account would not be charged until the windows were installed. I was sent a text with a docusign with the amount of {$27000.00} but with limited itemization not showing the actual window and door pricing, the discount, which items were being discounted and at what rate yet.

A payoff check issued as part of a real estate closing was sent directly to GreenSky , LLC as payee to satisfy a solar loan. The check was sent via XXXX Priority Registered Mail and was delivered and signed for on XX/XX/XXXX. Despite proof of delivery, GreenSky has not acknowledged receipt or applied the payoff. GreenSky representatives have stated that the payoff will not be credited unless I obtain a negotiated check image from XXXX. I am not the payee on the check and not a XXXX customer, and XXXX will not release such documentation to a third party. As the named payee, GreenSky is responsible for locating, confirming receipt of, and depositing funds delivered to its address. I am requesting that the payoff be credited as of the delivery date and that no interest, fees, or negative credit reporting occur due to this delay.

The project was not completed, and significant issues arose regarding performance and resulting damage to the home. On XX/XX/XXXX we formally opened a dispute with GreenSky for contractor non-performance and incomplete work. GreenSky assigned Case # XXXX and confirmed the dispute was under review. During this period, we repeatedly communicated in writing that the project was incomplete, damages were alleged, and no authorization was granted for release of additional funds.

The 'hardship plan ' GreenSky provided lowered my payment to {$180.00}, but they refused to lower the interest rate. This payment is {$130.00} less than the monthly interest alone, meaning my debt grows every month. I am in a state of 'Negative Amortization. ' I have contacted the company multiple times requesting an interest rate reduction to allow the loan to be paid off, but they have refused. I am requesting a fixed-rate plan with an APR below 10 % so that my payments actually reduce the principal.

I contacted Greensky several times. The first time wanted to know when did I opened an account that was related to my dental implant services. I contacted them twice since then both times wanting a reduction in my payment since the implants the dentist put in only lasted XXXX years and I went to another dental office to have them replaced and they did them for free when they discovered XXXXXXXX XXXX charged me {$40000.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX XXXX told me he will not be doing anything else on my implants even though I was not happy with them. I was got at least a reduction in the bill XXXX XXXX XXXX will not take my calls.

In XXXX I hired XXXX to redo a kitchen for XXXX. I had the money to pay cash but the XXXX rep convinced me to borrow interest free for one year from Greensky and keep earning my 5.5 percent interest until then. The loan was to be repaid interest free from the date of the first purchase, which I believe was XX/XX/XXXX. The kitchen was not redone until XX/XX/XXXX. I have borrowed from this company before and paid back before interest acrued and planned to do the same. Unfortunately it slipped my mind and I did not pay until XX/XX/XXXX. They posted that payment on XX/XX/XXXX and charged the full years interest of XXXX. I tried to negotiate the interest via the companies chat box. They declined and I asked to talk to a manager. They gave me a phone number and explained that I should hold down the one to talk to a human. The number is automated and that did not work. I am willing to partial pay the interest, but I feel the whole amount is punitive.

I spoke with them about it and they said after paying the pay off amount, I still owed XXXX. This is GreenSky. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX told me the account would not have interest when they told me to sign up. That was already a lie. However, when given my pay off amount, I was under the assumption it would pay off the account.

I am disputing this account because no products or services were ever received from the merchant ( XXXX XXXX ), and the loan should have never been activated. The contract with XXXX XXXX was never finalized due to errors in their documentation. As a result, the project was canceled, and no windows were delivered and no installation was performed. This account had previously been reported as closed/settled. GreenSky has now improperly reopened the account and reported a late payment for a debt that is not valid. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act ( FCBA ), I am not responsible for paying for products or services that were never delivered. I am requesting that the credit bureau remove the late payment and correct the account. I am also requesting that GreenSky provide proof that any products were delivered or any services were performed. Since no goods were ever received, this debt is invalid and should not be reported on my credit.

XXXX XXXX XXXX charged {$6900.00} to my XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. The project was canceled before any work began. My property manager emailed XXXX a written cancellation on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX issued a final invoice showing {$0.00}, and no materials, labor, or permits were ever provided. XXXX is reporting a {$5300.00} balance/charge-off based on PICs claim of a XXXX XXXX cancellation fee. But the contract states the fee applies only if XXXX accepts the cancellation AND documents actual costs. XXXX never accepted the cancellation and never provided any receipts, invoices, or permits. XXXX also refused to provide documentation of an alleged XXXX call and produced no proof of any incurred costs. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent FCRA XXXX direct disputes to XXXX and XXXX requesting verification of the alleged {$5300.00}. In response, XXXX replied Yes when asked if XXXX provided documentation supporting the charge. However, XXXX has not produced any documentation to me or CFPB.

I have attempted numerous times to get information from this company reporting to the information they are reporting within my credit files. They fail to complete and investigation and consistently go in circles thanking me for my request and they are investigating my requests/disputes and will send me the information I am requesting and still have not it's been over 1+ years and all they do is dance around investigating, I've also requested that they do not contact me by phone, email or other digital means. They are only to send me investigation results by mail and again have failed to.

I opened the loan, it was an active loan. I was having issues with the contractor and contractor knew I was having issues with them. They went to get money out of the account. I received a message to accept funds to be sent out or refuse. I refused any funds to be sent out paperwork said somebody would contact me. I contacted them. They refused to stop payment at my request. This has been going on for several years. I closed the account I was told I did not owe a balance as it was resolved. Then they are marking my credit report as delinquent. They are in violation of my request as I told them not to send any funds. This is fraudulent.

In XXXX of 2024, I scheduled a bathroom remodel appointment ( scheduled via XXXX with kiosk personnel ) and a rep from Jacuzzi came to my home. They ran my credit an approved a XXXX interest loan. The next morning, I signed their cancellation form and emailed it to XXXX people from XXXX and Jacuzzi. XXXX confirmed receipt and forwarded it to additional personnel from Jacuzzi and CCd me on that communication. Fast forward a year later and I'm applying for a mortgage to purchase a new build and I'm made aware of Green Sky showing up on my credit. I had no idea who they were. I finally figured out it was from the bathroom remodel a YEAR previous. Based on my conversation with a Green Sky employee, I was told the loan had funded to XXXX and they would contact them directly. Green Sky advised me that XXXX refunded the funds and that Green Sky would show the account as paid in full.

* Reference : Prior CFPB Complaint # XXXX ( Closed XX/XX/XXXX ) * I am resubmitting this complaint because GreenSkys previous response contained false and misleading statements, and the case was closed before I was given a chance to reply. GreenSky funded and enforced a loan that was invalid from the start. The merchant, XXXX XXXX XXXX, breached the contract and never completed the job. GreenSky failed to verify that any work was finished or that the materials matched the agreement before releasing funds or demanding repayment. The loan was originated solely under my late husbands name for a home solar project. I was never a co-signer or co-borrower, yet GreenSky now falsely claims my electronic signature is on file. GreenSky acknowledged receiving notice of my husbands death on XX/XX/XXXX and stated the account was closed, yet they continued to accept and process loan payments from me afterward.
