I am filing this complaint against Advance Financial regarding a XXXX XXXX ' ( Account XXXX. XXXX ) that I believe uses predatory XXXX mathematically impossible terms. On my statement dated XX/XX/year> XXXX XX/XX/year>, my starting balance was {$400.00}. Despite making a payment of {$110.00}, my new balance actually increased XXXX {$410.00}. This occurred because the account carries an unconscionable Annual Percentage Rate ( APR ) of XXXX %. This rate resulted in {$110.00} in interest charges for a single monthan amount that exceeded my entire payment. Under these terms, even when paying over {$100.00} a month, my principal only decreased by {$9.00}. I believe these terms create a debt trap designed XXXX prevent the balance from ever being paid off. I am requesting that the company provide a fair, amortized payoff plan at a reasonable interest rate that allows my payments XXXX be applied significantly toward the principal balance. ''

I requested to have my auto-withdrawal unenrolled on XX/XX/year> due to financial distress as in I have been let go from my job unexpectedly. I was informed by customer service that this was taken care of. On XX/XX/year>, I received a charge for {$490.00} to my account. I contacted them directly via phone call and on their customer service e-mail. I was granted unenrollment from auto-withdrawal once again despite being told on XX/XX/year> that this was complete. Today ( XX/XX/year> ), I was charged an additional {$500.00} despite the previous unenrollment. These were both unauthorized transactions that should not have occurred.

I was contacted repeatedly, like every hour. When I finally called back I was indeed upset. I have a natural aggressive and loud voice as the caller advised me that I needed to stop yelling at her. I said I wasn't yelling. Her tone was not only rude but very unprofessional. She placed me on hold then came back with an offer. I advised her that I was unable to pay what she was asking. I also advised her that I have had some medical issues and she told me that wasn't her problem and she didnt cause my medical issues. I asked her to send me the offer via email and she said she could not. She then said thatsince I was not changing my tone that she would make sure that she filed the judgement and that I would be served. I could her her hackling to her co-workers in the back ground. I asked her her name and she told me that she was XXXX XXXX who workded for XXXX. She also said she was not a customer service agent so she did not have to be nice.…
I am filing this complaint regarding a Flex Loan/Line of Credit issued by Advance Financial 24/7 . The lender refused to respond to the previous CFPB complaint # XXXX, which was submitted by my spouse, even though the issues involved my account. Because Advance Financial declined to participate solely due to who submitted the complaint, I am now filing directly under my own name. My concerns involve the structure of the loan, the way payments were applied, the fees charged, the duedate manipulation, and the final settlement amount of {$1800.00}, which I paid on XX/XX/XXXX without ever receiving a payoff statement explaining how that amount was calculated. 1. Negative amortization despite the contract stating otherwise My signed contract states that the minimum payment must be : no less than 3 % of principal per month, or no less than 1.5 % biweekly, or all unpaid interest, whichever is greater. It also states that payments must be applied to interest and then principal.…

Advance Financial keep sending civil warrant service officer to my home for my son, XXXX XXXX. I have told advance financial XXXX years ago by way of the same service officer, advance financial reps and the law firm reps, again XXXX years ago that HE DOES NO LIVE AT MY HOME. Advance Financial can not legally harass me knowingly by continuing to use an incorrect address once they have been informed of the error of which I have done repeatedly by which is also against the FDCPA law. This is now considered harassment. If they continue sending warrant serving sheriffs to my home I will file a counter suit against them for just this,,, harassment .. On XX/XX/XXXX Advance Financial took XXXX payments from both of my accounts : XXXX Bank and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account. When I contacted Advanced FinanciaXXXX about this matter back in XXXX, the teller stated that he did not see where they had charged my XXXX banking account and I stated sir, I am looking at my mobile app and it is showing where you guys charged this account, I told him that I did not give Advance Financial permission to take money from my XXXX account and that payments are made through my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. My account XXXX XXXXXXXX My SSN : XXXX The origination date : XXXX Company Number Ph : XXXX My Line of Credit is {$1500.00} and my balance is {$1600.00} My monthly payment is {$330.00} and only {$46.00} went towards the principal and the amount owed continues to go up. I have an open XXXX XXXXXXXX Bankruptcy and I receive disability due to mental and physical health. I can not afford the loan, and they will not work with me to reduce the rate to pay the loan down. Can you help me, because I'm in a bad situation and I can not afford it.
They have responsed to my first complaint and their response is not surprising at all, they still continue to deny that they misquoted me, which they did. If I want to take this further, what would I have to do? To sue them, and make them make this right? This is ridiculous, we have rights as well. I dont think its right and fair for them to get away with this. I do not feel like I should even have to pay them due to being misinformed and quoted wrongly. They always tell me theyre going to call me back, never do they. They stated that someone did help, no I called multiple times to get help and get someone to see that the young man told me I would pay XXXX, I even asked him to make sure which he puts me on hold and then came back and told me yes it was gon na be XXXX every two weeks. XXXX the XXXX is so rude as well. No help at all.…
I applied for this loan when I first started XXXX a few months ago because I had nothing and was hungry. Some of it was for XXXX XXXX as I XXXX at a XXXX XXXX XXXX and, if I don't supply pencils, they don't have pencils. They've been taking such a burdensome amount of money from each and every check that I can't make ends meets and can't get ahead paying off the loan. The statements are so confusing I've never not been able to understand a simple financial statement. It's getting to a point I may have to declare bankruptcy if something doesn't let up. I tried to call and talk to them about my hardship but they just laughed on the phone as they picked up and flippantly told me I was past due and what was I going to do about it.…
I obtained a XXXX XXXXXXXX from XXXX XXXX structured as a personal line of credit. Since opening the account, I have made numerous payments, including large lump-sum payments, yet my principal balance has not meaningfully decreased. Upon reviewing my transaction history, I discovered that the loan accrues interest on a daily basis at an extremely high rate, causing the majority of my payments to be applied to interest rather than principal. This structure was not clearly explained at the time of the loan and has made repayment unreasonably difficult despite consistent payments. As of now, I have paid a substantial amount toward this loan, yet the remaining balance remains high due to ongoing daily interest charges. I believe the way interest is calculated and applied is excessive and not transparent, resulting in payments that do not fairly reduce the debt.…
I submitted a revocation of automatic withdrawals on XX/XX/XXXX & again on XX/XX/XXXX after seeing a withdrawal on XX/XX/XXXX. I received an email acknowledging it was received on XX/XX/XXXX. A withdrawal was drawn from my account on XX/XX/XXXX. The company refused to refund the money they withdrew on XX/XX/XXXX.
I opened this Line of Credit account in XX/XX/XXXX. Over time, my balance accumulated to approx. {$3400.00} with an APR of XXXX %. I have been a responsible customer since XX/XX/XXXX. However, I recently hit a financial breaking point. On XX/XX/XXXX, I requested a payment deferral because I had to pay my rent. I made a partial good-faith payment of {$10.00} on that day. On XX/XX/XXXX, I attempted to make the deferred payment, but the transaction was declined by my bank due to insufficient funds. This missed payment is undeniable proof of my financial distress. I contacted the company to request a hardship plan to freeze the interest so I could manage the debt. The company refused to offer a viable solution. Their only " offer '' was to lower the monthly payment while maintaining the 297 % APR, which would result in negative amortization. I have a scheduled appointment with a certified non-profit credit counselor ( XXXX member ) on XX/XX/XXXX.…
2024. I was needing to move in a hurry because I was being flooded out of the place. I was reading my stuff was being ruined in the closets from the flood every time it rained and I seen this on the website which I XXXX read the reviews on high interest rates XXXX high interest rate is almost XXXX and now XXXX stuck. Its been a little over a year and I XXXX even pay it off. Its a {$500.00} loan and XXXX paid them {$2000.00}. XXXX had so many complaints. Advanced financial XXXX XXXX.
I've made aggressive payments in the amount of roughly {$3200.00} over the past two months to bring my account current. Despite bringing my account current and under the credit limit line, I have no credit available. According to the representative, I have no credit available because I've revoked ACH Authorization. The only way to access my credit is by visiting a store in person ... which is in a different state than I reside.
I obtained a Flex Loan from Advance Financial as a Florida resident. The initial loan was issued for approximately {$1000.00} around XX/XX/XXXX, and a second advance of approximately {$980.00} was issued around XX/XX/XXXX. I made regular, timely monthly payments throughout XXXX. However, my principal balance did not meaningfully decline. My statements show that recurring Billing Cycle Charges absorbed most of each payment. I was charged more than {$2400.00} in fees in XXXX alone, while my principal remained nearly unchanged as you can see here : Amount borrowed : {$1900.00} Total payments made : {$2800.00} Applied to principal : {$410.00} Fees and charges retained : {$2400.00} Despite making payment after payment, I have already paid amounts exceeding the principal borrowed, and I still owe an outstanding balance. This indicates that the loan was structured to generate repeat fees rather than allow a borrower to pay down principal.…
b'I received a bogus call from someone saying they are with Advance Financial XXXX XXXX XXXX, as a collection agency. Caller ID had listed as XXXX XXXX Now there is a XXXX XXXX, however I dont show XXXX in Louisiana. ??Male said my full ssn over the phone and my full name. Said I got loan for about XXXX ish. He said I was combative after questioning him and he said, "well we will just let Lee County handle this then" and hung up. I called back and another male answered and he had my full mailing address, and he said it started off with $XXXX. He also hung up after I questioned him and I told him as well that I have no debt. I found the real Advance Financial called them and someone named XXXX said that is not them and they do not have on file, as they are loan company. I believe he said he was in Kentucky. Did someone steal my identity?? I tried calling the 3 credit agencies to report, but due to holiday no one availabl.…
I have a personal line of credit with Advance Financial 24/7. The original principal balance is {$3700.00} and the payoff amount is now {$4100.00} due to high interest charges. My minimum payment is {$300.00}, but the balance does not decrease in any meaningful way because of the interest structure. I contacted the company several times and requested information about hardship relief options, interest freeze, interest reduction, settlement offers, fixed payment plans, or any kind of loan modification. I explained that the current interest charges are creating a financial burden and making it difficult to pay down the principal. The company representatives repeatedly told me that no hardship programs or modification options exist at all, and that they could not provide any alternative payment plan or interest relief. They also refused to provide any written confirmation of their refusal, despite my request.…
I spoke to someone in XXXX and let them know I was having trouble making the payment. I asked her if she could turn of the automatic payment and let me make a payment by credit card later in the month. She said she could do that for me, and I ended the call feeling much better. I made the payment as agreed on XX/XX/XXXX by credit card. I made a second payment on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, they resumed automatic withdrawal from my account. They made a third attempt on XX/XX/XXXX. I called them XX/XX/XXXX and told them this was creating further hardship. I inquired why it was not turned off when I asked. He advised me it was but they automatically turn it back on when you make a payment. I told him this was done without my permission and he said he would turn it off. We ended the call, but he called back immediately and asked if I wanted to make a payment. I asked him if I could wait until these overdrafts cleared.…
XXXX received a letter on XX/XX/year> saying that XXXX have a loan that is severally deliquent. XXXX need to contact them to resolve this matter. i called at XXXX pm cental time on same date. XXXX provided the loan number that was given in the letter. they wanted personal information that XXXX was not willing to give because XXXX don't know what this debt is. checked my credit report and it is not listed on there.
This is regarding CFPB complaint XXXX. I contacted Advance Financial directly to confirm whether an account in my name ever existed. Instead of providing any documentation or investigating my identity dispute as required under FCRA 609 ( e ), Advance Financial refused to assist and simply told me to contact the debt buyer. This is not a valid or lawful response. Under the FDCPA and FCRA, if a debt buyer claims a debt originated with a specific creditor, I have the right to request validation from both the collector and the original creditor. If a debt buyer claims to have purchased an account allegedly originated by Advance Financial, then Advance Financial must be able to confirm whether such an account ever existed. Their refusal to provide any verification is a failure to meet their obligations.…
I received a mailer from Advance Financial offering a XXXX XXXX of up to XXXX dollars. This arrived in mid XX/XX/year>. I never applied for a loan, never requested information, and I previously opted out of receiving these kinds of prescreened offers. Yet the company continues sending unsolicited loan advertisements. Their marketing pushes high-interest credit as if its a gift, but I never invited it. Ive taken proper steps to stop these communications, but the mail persists. Their behavior feels intrusive and dismissive of my rights to opt out. I consent to having this description published after removal of personal information.
1st said I was approved for {$4000.00}. This enticed me to move forward. After doing all the paperwork and verifying my deposit acct with XX/XX/XXXX, they then changed it to {$50.00}. Now I can't even get that bc they said my bank was prepaid. If I'm not mistaken, all banks are prepaid? If my credit were top notch would I even be applying for a loan or even considering accepting XXXX. Loan? They have discriminated and profiled my character due to whom I bank with. Shouldn't they have a " we don't do business with XX/XX/XXXX banks '' before anyone applies? Told me I can come into the location for cash but can not txfr to XX/XX/XXXX. It would cost me XXXX for a cab to get XXXX from them. This is wrong.
i called in to get an extension on a payment, at the end of the call the customer rep notified me at the end of the call my last payment date which was aug. 2026 which confused me. so i took a look at the loan agreement notice that the contract was missing an annual percentage rate ( APR ), the amount financed and the total of all payments, as well as arbitration clauses preventing consumers to seek remedy for TILA violations
In XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX I had attempted to login online to my account to make a payment. My login credentials said that there was no account associated. I called the company they said there was no longer a email or phone number associated with the account thats why I wouldnt be able to login. Company proceeded to take a one time payment over the phone, and then stated to send the following documents I have attached below in order for account to reopened so I can have access to credit line and payments. I emailed company and was told by agent on the phone to wait 2-4 hours so account could be reinstated. I called again when I tried logging in and account was still not found and said customer not found. This time the agent I spoke to asked for the same documents and stated it would take a week and to please include my driver license in email to verify account. Again a email was sent and a week went back.…

XX/XX/XXXX, My moms dog caught XXXX and my parents made me take out a flex loan to pay off the medical bills. Ever since, I have been suffering with these very large payments and its getting really hard to make them. on XX/XX/XXXX, I called to see if I was eligible for a settlement payoff option for my loan as I am no longer able to make the large payments. I was given XXXX emails and a phone number. On that same day, XX/XX/XXXX, I sent out an email to both emails provided and was assigned an online agent to look over my settlement request. Unfortunately I did not hear back until I called today, XX/XX/XXXX and they denied my settlement request and claimed they could not tell me any further information.
I took out a payday loan with Advance Financial in Tennessee. The loan amount was around {$2500.00}, and the balance has continued to increase due to high interest and fees. I have made multiple payments, including {$300.00} and {$350.00} payments, but the total owed still doesnt seem to go down. I contacted the company by email on XX/XX/year> to ask about a payment plan or to better understand the balance, but I have not received a clear or helpful response. I am struggling to pay and am concerned about the ongoing interest and the impact on my account. I am requesting that the company provide a fair repayment option and accurate information on my remaining balance.
