CFPB Feedback : Rejection of Company Response ( Case # XXXX ) Do you accept the company 's response? NO. Feedback/Rebuttal : I strongly reject Healthcare Finance Direct 's ( HFD ) claim that this matter is " resolved and closed. '' HFDs response is highly deceptive, omitting documented missing funds, bad-faith negotiation tactics, and severe internal record-keeping failures. While I acknowledge that the {$500.00} was finally confirmed during the XX/XX/year> conference call, XXXX is intentionally ignoring the remaining outstanding balance and their own contradictory documents. 1. Unresolved Missing Funds ( {$52.00} ) & Deceptive Record Keeping HFD is ignoring the official " Refund Down Payment '' email their own system issued to me on XX/XX/year>, which explicitly stated an additional refund of {$52.00} was processed. Furthermore, this official receipt stated the {$52.00} was directed to an account ending in XXXX. My verified XXXX account ends in XXXX.…

I am submitting a complaint regarding the handling of fraudulent and unauthorized transactions on my Flexible Spending Account ( FSA ) debit card. I did not authorize the transactions and reported them as fraud. My FSA card administrator confirmed that certain charges were fraudulent ; however, the merchant has refused to issue a refund or cooperate in returning the funds. I was informed that the funds can not be recovered directly through the card issuer due to the length of time the merchant continued processing charges after fraud was identified. I am requesting that the company be required to respond formally and explain why a refund has not been issued for unauthorized transactions.

Rebuttal to Company Response ( CFPB Case # XXXX ) Subject : Discrepancy in Refund Dates and Evidence of Misdirected Funds ( XXXX XXXX ) I am providing this feedback because the companys response is inaccurate and does not resolve the issue. Healthcare Finance Direct ( HFD ) claims a refund was successfully issued to me on February 9, 2026, yet their own evidence and actions contradict this. 1. The Discrepancy in Refund Dates and Amounts HFDs formal response to the CFPB claims a refund was issued via ACH on XX/XX/year>. However, I received a subsequent official email from HFD on XX/XX/year>, stating that a refund of {$52.00} was " processed '' on that day. If a refund was already successfully completed on the XXXX, there would be no reason for a second notification on the XXXX for a specific amount of {$52.00}. 2. I am filing a formal complaint against Healthcare Finance Direct ( HFD ) regarding a medical financing agreement connected to XXXX. This agreement was entered into based on misrepresentation at the time of sale. The service was described as unlimited treatments for one year, however treatments are actually restricted to every 56 weeks, which significantly limits the number of sessions. The company is also charging about 24 % APR. Additionally, the term permanent hair removal was used, which is medically misleading and inaccurate. The borrower is a XXXX first-time consumer who relied on these representations. We also requested copies of the signed contract, billing details, and payment authorization multiple times via phone and email, but no documents were provided. Only one treatment session has been performed.…

I signed up with smile direct club years ago and never received my aligners. Then the company went out of business. Not only are they wanting me to pay the loan that was taken out by them. They moved it to collections and say I still owe {$1800.00} for something I NEVER RECEIVED. I have contacted XXXX collect and they told me theres nothing they can do about it that I would have to call the healthcarefinancial direct so I did that and they told me it is out of their hands since it is now in collections. This is ruining my credit score and is extremely unfair considering I never received the product that the loan was supposedly taken out for.

I am disputing a debt being collected by XXXX XXXX related to XXXX financing through Health Finance. XXXX ceased operations and was unable to complete my XXXX treatment. Because the services were not completed, this debt is invalid. Despite this, the account was sent to collections. I have formally requested validation of the debt, including proof that services were completed and that I am legally obligated to pay. No such documentation has been provided. I am requesting that this account be removed, that all collection activity cease, and that any credit reporting related to this account be deleted. Attempting to collect a debt for services that were never provided is unfair and deceptive. This complaint concerns debt servicing and verification failures, not medical treatment or provider services. I selected a payment plan at XXXX XXXX of sale but did not receive a copy of the XXXX XXXX XXXX or required disclosures at that time. I only received these documents after making repeated written requests. Since then, I have requested basic servicing documentation necessary to verify the accuracy of the account, including : identification of the custodian of the electronic-signature XXXX XXXX ; proof of delivery of the consumer copy at the time of signing ; a written ledger reconciliation explaining assessed service fees ; and ACH trace details and return codes for disputed debits. Healthcare Finance Direct ( XXXX ) has repeatedly redirected me to the merchant for these records while simultaneously enforcing payment, assessing fees, and permitting third-party collection contact. The merchant, in turn, directs me back to XXXX for loan-servicing matters.…

My complaint is against HFD healthcare finance direct because I received aligners from XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/year> I tried to cancel way before the aligners were ever sent. XXXX XXXX XXXX acted as though they never spoke to me or remembered speaking to me. I tried to cancel because i saw on social media they were going out of business which was shocking since they accepted my order. It was constant back and forth until they sent the aligners and then next thing you know they went out of business in XX/XX/year> leaving me with a box of aligners no further treatment as promised and I have had several issues with my teeth with no help as promised by XXXX XXXX I think its unfair that the finance company is still trying to collect when services were not rendered as promised for life. Also I tried to cancel which I feel was ignored by XXXX XXXX due to their knowing they were going bankrupt. Its not good business practice and it is unfair to myself and plenty of consumers.…
I applied for financing through XXXX for services at XXXX. During the sales process, the merchants representative told me the financing would be an XXXX payment plan with no interest. When I questioned why the financing screen showed a 29.99 % APR and finance charges, the representative told me it was a glitch and assured me that interest would not apply to my account. Based on that explanation, I proceeded with the application. I had just turned XXXX at the time of signing. During the sales process, the representative explicitly asked for my age and confirmed I had just turned XXXX. I believe this inexperience was exploited when I was encouraged to sign a financing agreement that was misrepresented to me. My actual loan is a XXXX installment loan at 29.99 % APR with significant finance charges. These terms were not explained to me accurately before I signed, and I relied on the merchants statements when agreeing to the loan.…
In XX/XX/year>, I visited XXXX XXXX & XXXX XXXX for a teeth cleaning. During the visit, the staff focused on preparing a tooth for a crown instead of performing the cleaning I requested. I completed a form to see if I qualified for a payment plan for the crown, which was approved, but I did not authorize treatment and the crown was never placed. I canceled care with the dental office on XX/XX/year>, and informed them I would not accept any services. Despite this, XXXX XXXX XXXX has sent multiple notices demanding payment for a {$2000.00} crown financing plan, including past due notices, while refusing to acknowledge my cancellation. My insurance provider ( XXXX XXXX ) is also reviewing a grievance regarding services billed but not rendered. I am requesting that my account be marked as disputed, that no collection or negative credit reporting occur, and that charges for services not performed be canceled.
I am writing to formally file a complaint against Healthcare Finance Direct regarding their refusal to cancel a financing contract tied to services that are no longer being provided by the original business with which I contracted, as well as their refusal to provide me with a copy of the alleged contract. I entered into a contract with XXXX XXXX, located in XXXX, XXXX, for laser hair removal treatments. The services were financed through Healthcare Finance Direct as part of my agreement with XXXX XXXX. My contract and financing agreement were explicitly based on services to be rendered by XXXX XXXX. Two months later, in XXXX, they went bankrupt. I entered into a retail installment contract for cosmetic services through XXXX XXXX, serviced by Healthcare Finance Direct ( XXXX ). After signing the agreement, XXXX XXXX sold or transferred operations to another entity without notice or consent. The successor provider failed to honor scheduled appointments, did not reschedule services, and became unreachable. As a result, services paid for under the contract were not rendered. Despite this, XXXX continues billing under the contract. I have formally disputed the charges and invoked my rights under the FTC XXXX XXXX, which is incorporated into my contract. I am requesting suspension of billing, prevention of negative credit reporting, and cancellation or adjustment of the balance for services not provided.

On XX/XX/year>, I went to a dental office for a routine cleaning. Instead of addressing my concern, I was pressured to apply for financing for dental services that were never explained or agreed to. The loan documents were presented on an XXXX, and I was instructed where to sign without adequate time to review the terms. The same day, {$6000.00} was withdrawn from the loan and paid directly to the dental office, even though no treatment had been provided. On XX/XX/year>, the dentist adjusted my existing denture, resolving the issue, and I cancelled the new denture in person. No new dental services or appliances were ever provided. Despite this, I remain obligated on a high-interest installment loan ( 28.95 % APR ) with required monthly payments of approximately {$320.00}. The lender later contacted me stating I was behind on payments. I informed them that no services were rendered and that the dental office has the loan funds.…

In XX/XX/year>, I financed XXXX treatment through HealthCare Finance Direct ( HFD ). My dental provider told me the total cost would be {$6400.00} for approximately 6 months of treatment. At no time did the office verbally disclose an APR anywhere close to 28.9 %. HFD later applied an APR of 28.95 %, which increased my total balance to nearly {$9000.00}. This rate was never discussed or explained before I signed. I believe the APR was not clearly or properly disclosed at the time of the transaction, and the terms were not accurately represented. Additionally, the XXXX treatment did not work as promised. After 6 months, my teeth had not improved, and I am now almost 1 year into treatment with no resolution. My provider told me I must work it out with the lender, even though the service I financed was not successfully delivered. HFD is now threatening collections despite the treatment failure and the undisclosed high APR.…
In XX/XX/year>, I contacted the company to cancel my service due to moving out of state. I was told the account would be canceled. Despite this, the company continued to charge my card every month still to date, even though I have not used or received any services during that time. I attempted to resolve this multiple times. I spoke with staff and was told the manager who was originally responsible for canceling my account no longer works there, and they have no record of the cancellation request. They still have not canceled my account and have continued billing me without authorization. I am requesting a full refund for the months billed after my cancellation request and for the company to close the account immediately, as I have not received services since relocating.

I was an XXXX client and paid on time, but XXXX filed for bankruptcy, leaving me halfway through treatment without my next batch of aligners. I had to continue my treatment elsewhere, or I would lose all the progress I had made from the beginning. It's frustrating to have to pay for something that wasnt my fault, and it has negatively impacted my credit score. I was negotiating with XXXX before they sent it to XXXX. They told me I still have to pay, even if I didnt finish my treatment. That felt completely unfair to me. I was a student when I started, but now Im currently unemployed and left with this debt, which I dont think I should be responsible for paying and now it has negatively affected my credit score which I just started building. They filed for bankruptcy and released all liabilities, but former clients still have to bear this burden. They have not fulfilled their contractual obligations, yet their financing partners are still demanding payment.…
