Vehicle loan or lease· RepossessionSC

I purchased a vehicle ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. About a week after the purchase the salesman contacted me stating that the bank says my proof of income is now not sufficient enough after I have already been approved. I payed {$2000.00} for the down-payment and provided bank statements from XXXX XXXX before the finance was approved. Once I was contacted by the salesman stating that my proof of income was not sufficient, i submitted the bank statements a second time along with screenshot of my weekly pay on my employer work hub app. I also called my employer on three-way call with the salesman. I feel this is in retaliation for my complaint to the better business bureau for my spouse and my credit being illegally ran by XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX and our income being under reported by the salesman the month prior resulting in a negative decline to my spouse and I credit score.

30 day late payment was applied to my credit report for the month of XXXX or XXXX ( shows differently on credit companies ) -improper tracking of payment history I reviewed the billing statements and account history thoroughly after making a plea for the company to remove the damaging information and I was never notified of a late payment, given a late fee, but this damaging information was sent directly to the credit agencies without an attempt to resolve the matter with me. According to all of my billing statements in XXXX, all of my payments were received on time. The situation was not handled correctly and with my perfect payment history, an attempt could have been made to resolve any concerns XXXX XXXX had. I was unfairly treated by this finance company.

In XXXX, I leased a Hyundai vehicle on a XXXX term and purchased extended wear-and-tear coverage at the time of signing specifically to protect myself from excess wear-and-tear charges at lease-end. I maintained the vehicle responsibly throughout the lease period. All payments were made on time, the vehicle was never involved in any accident or damage-related incident, and it remained in very good condition. On XX/XX/XXXX, during a service visit at the dealership, dealership staff recommended upgrading to a newer Hyundai model. I was specifically informed that because I had purchased wear-and-tear coverage, I would not incur any out-of-pocket lease-end charges on my current vehicle. Based on those representations, I agreed to upgrade, paid the required down payment for the new vehicle, and exchanged the car the same day. Approximately XXXX month later, in XX/XX/XXXX, I received a bill from Hyundai Motor Finance for {$1000.00} in wear-and-tear charges.

To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting a complaint regarding a vehicle lease transaction involving XXXX XXXX. At the time I entered into a new lease agreement, dealership staff represented that I could leave my prior leased vehicle with the dealership and move fully into the new lease arrangement. Months later, I received notices from the prior leasing bank stating that I remained responsible for the remaining lease payments and charges associated with the previous lease. Upon review of the lease and financing documents, I found no clear disclosure identifying : * a prior lease payoff, * remaining lease obligations, * negative equity, * trade payoff allocation, * or acknowledgment that I would remain personally responsible for those obligations. The dealership later produced only a photocopy of a handwritten document which they claim supports their position.

I returned my XXXX XXXX at the end of my full lease term and made all XXXX payments on time. I never missed a payment. After the lease ended, over ensuing months, I logged into my online account with Hyundai XXXX XXXX to confirm that everything was settled. The portal showed a {$0.00} balance with no past-due amount. I also reviewed the View Disclaimer section, which did not mention that end-of-lease charges or final bills would be excluded from the balance shown. At the time of return, my vehicle was also substantially under the allotted mileage, so I had no reason to anticipate owing any additional balance. Around that time, I had moved and did not update my mailing address before the final bill was sent. I understand that keeping my address current was my responsibility. However, I actively checked the companys official online portalthe primary tool provided to customers to view account statusto verify whether anything was owed.

I am disputing {$1200.00} in lease-end charges from Kia Finance America XXXX I returned my leased vehicle in person at a Kia dealership. At the time of return, I specifically asked the store XXXX if there were any issues with the vehicle. I was told there were no visible problems and was instructed to sign the return paperwork, which I did in good faith. I was not present for any later inspection. I am submitting this complaint regarding inaccurate and misleading credit reporting by Hyundai XXXX XXXX related to a lease-end balance. I was a Hyundai customer for over XXXX consecutive years, leasing multiple vehicles and maintaining a perfect payment history throughout all active lease terms. At the conclusion of my lease in XXXX, I received a lease-end statement reflecting a total balance of {$940.00}, which included various final charges. This was a one-time lease-end reconciliation amount and not part of any scheduled monthly payment obligation. A portion of this balance ( approximately {$100.00} ) related to excess wear and tear. I believed this charge was covered under a damage waiver I had purchased. Once it was clarified that the waiver did not apply, I paid the outstanding balance. There was no refusal to pay, only a misunderstanding regarding coverage.

Predatory Lending and Fraudulent Account Management My initial decision to cease payments on these accounts ( including auto loans ) was a direct result of the lenders predatory practices. The dealership relied on this lender-provided payoff amount and submitted payment to satisfy the loan, and I relied on the dealership to complete the payoff as part of the transaction. The loan was ultimately paid in full through this process. However, XXXX reported my account as delinquent on or about XX/XX/XXXX, which is negatively impacting my credit. This reporting is inaccurate and materially misleading because any temporary balance or delay in payoff was the result of a payoff processing discrepancy or timing issue between the lender and the dealership, not a failure on my part to make payments.

In XX/XX/year>, I returned my leased vehicle to XXXX XXXX XXXX and fulfilled all obligations associated with the account. The account was subsequently closed in XX/XX/year>. Despite this, Kia Finance reported a 3059 day late payment on the account after the vehicle had already been returned and while the account was in the process of being closed. This late payment is inaccurate and appears to be the result of internal processing delays, not any failure on my part. My payment history reflects consistent on-time payments, and this account should be reported as Paid, Closed/Never Late. However, the inaccurate reporting has caused a significant drop in my credit score ( approximately XXXX points ). This error has had real and immediate impact, as it occurred during an active home and auto financing process. I am filing this complaint regarding an auto lease account with Hyundai Motor Finance that resulted in a repossession which I believe was improper due to lack of proper notice and significant communication failures. I was never properly notified of any default or risk of repossession. Hyundai claims that notices were generated ; however, during multiple phone calls, their representatives were unable to confirm whether these notices were actually sent, or if they were sent by email or regular mail. I never received any notice by mail or email prior to the repossession. The only documentation I received was after the repossession had already taken place. For example, I later received a Notice of Default dated XX/XX/year>, showing an amount due of approximately {$1100.00} with a cure deadline of XX/XX/year>.
