I received a Vanilla Visa Gift Card and used it to make a purchase, which I later canceled. The refund for this canceled transaction was not properly processed. On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a dispute ( Case ID : XXXX ) regarding the missing refund for a canceled XXXX XXXX order. After filing the dispute, the card was blocked. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received written confirmation stating that my refund request was approved and that a check for {$490.00} had been issued. However, I have not received this check. Since XX/XX/XXXX, I have contacted customer service more than 10 -15 times to request the status of the refund, but the company has failed to provide clear information or resolve the issue. I stopped contacting them from XX/XX/XXXX out of frustration. I recently called again on XX/XX/XXXX. They stated the case had been closed and reopened, and I provided my current mailing address : [ XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, WA - XXXX ].

When we try to call or dispute the purchase we get auto hung up on and the site says the charge is pending so it doesnt show up to dispute.

I called to activate the card on XX/XX/year> and confirmed the amount on the card and that it was ready to use. XX/XX/year> I went to use the card in a store with the physical card in hand and it was declined. I check online and it says the card is on hold I called and they said it was tagged as fraud and placed on hold and there was no way to reverse the hold. They XXXX me the exact name of the store that attempted the charge and I confirmed that I was there and had authorized the transaction. They would not do anything about it.

Hello, I have tried with many various online merchants to use my Visa Reward card with {$1000.00} loaded on it. I have tried various amounts well below the total available balance, but every transaction has been denied. I have called the help line and they say there are no issues with the card, yet I can not use it anywhere. I have tried with online retailers such as XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, amognst others. I am getting no support from the phone help line and am concerned of losing my full balance as the card expires in XX/XX/year>. I have attached screenshots from the online portal with card information, available balance, and list of declined tranactions.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I tried to charge {$4.00} to a XXXX XXXX XXXX card with a balance of {$46.00}. The payment was not accepted. I called the customer service number on the back of the card. They said that the card was put on hold, and they could not reactivate it. They said the only recourse was to give them our address so they could send us a new card. I refused, since someone was able to purchase the card and give it to me as a gift without providing personal information such as address.

I purchased a XXXX gift card issued by XXXX at a XXXX store using cash. After activating the card, I used it XXXX time for a legitimate purchase on XXXX for approximately {$440.00}. XXXX later refunded that purchase back to the same gift card. Shortly after the refund was processed, several unauthorized transactions labeled XXXX * XXXX occurred and drained the balance of the card ( approximately {$440.00} ). By making multiple transactions of different amounts until all funds were used. These transaction all happened within the same minute of time.These transactions occurred without my permission and were not made by me or anyone I know. I reported the fraudulent transactions to XXXX within XXXX hours of discovering them and completed the fraud affidavit they required. Despite reporting promptly and confirming that the transactions were unauthorized, XXXX denied my dispute and closed the case.

I am filing this complaint because InComm XXXX XXXX XXXX has placed an indefinite hold on six ( 6 ) of my prepaid Visa and XXXX debit cards, effectively denying me access to my funds for over 14 months. Starting in XX/XX/XXXX, all six cards transitioned to a " Status : ON HOLD '' state with the message, " Your card can not be used at this time. '' Since that date, I have contacted InComm XXXX XXXX customer support multiple times to resolve this issue. During every interaction, I was informed that my case has been escalated. On every occasion, the customer service representative promised that an agent would contact me within two business days to resolve the hold. Despite these repeated assurances, I have never received a phone call, email, or any form of communication from InComms specialized team. As of XX/XX/XXXX, the funds remain inaccessible.

The product is defective as it lacks the advertised ZIP code registration feature required for online use do it being removed by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I informed the store XXXX XXXX that the product was non-functional and that the vendor 's phone number is a dead loop. Despite my distress, the documented product failure and the explanations, the XXXX refused a refund, citing 'all sales are final ' for a faulty financial product. This is deceptive trade practice and a violation of the implied warranty of merchantability.

I contacted customer service and was told I must fax my ID, the card information, and the purchase receipt in order to activate the card. The company also provided an email address to send the documents, but the email address bounces back and can not receive messages at XXXX As a result, I currently have {$500.00} locked on this card and can not access my own funds. I purchased this card to pay a bill and the delay has now caused financial hardship. I am requesting immediate access to my {$500.00} plus Because I was unable to access the money to pay my bill, I have experienced financial inconvenience and late fees of {$50.00}. I am also requesting reimbursement for any fees incurred and reasonable compensation for the time spent trying to resolve this issue.

On XX/XX/year>, I purchased XXXX Vanilla Visa gift cards issued by InComm Inc. for {$500.00} each ( {$1000.00} total ) from XXXX. On the same day of purchase, I attempted to use both cards online, but both transactions were declined. I then contacted the customer service number listed on the back of the cards. During that call, customer support informed me that the cards were potentially compromised. On XX/XX/year>, customer support stated they would cancel the compromised cards and send replacement cards with the full balances ( {$500.00} each ). I was told the replacement cards would arrive by mail. After waiting two weeks and not receiving the replacement cards, I contacted customer service again. During the second call, I was told that the replacement cards had already been used by someone else. I did not receive these replacement cards and did not authorize any transactions. I believe the cards were either intercepted in transit or fraudulently accessed before delivery.

Since receiving it, the card has been declined at every merchant I have attempted to use it at, including XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. It was also rejected when I attempted to add it to XXXX XXXX. I have contacted Vanilla customer support twice. Both times I was met with unhelpful, scripted responses. I was told the card " can't be used on XXXX '', despite the card declining at entirely unrelated merchants that have nothing to do with XXXX. When I asked a representative where I could use the card, ( ON THE SECOND CALL BECAUSE VANILLA IS DEVASTATINGLY USELESS ) they refused to answer my question and instead only provided a list of restrictions. No representative made any genuine attempt to investigate why my specific card is malfunctioning. This is XXXX customer service, plain and simple. Notably, Vanilla 's own website explicitly advertises that their e-gift cards can be added to XXXX XXXX.

Approx. XXXX XXXX years ago my mom bought me two {$400.00} Vanilla Visa Gift Cards. They were " previously stolen '' and when i tried to activate the cards the balance was XXXX. I immediately contacted Vanilla Visa who had me send pics of the cards and receipt, which i did, then they had me sign some documents thru adobe.accu-sign. Shortly after i received a replacement card for only one of the cards, i continues to send messages inquiring about the second card for 2 years!! They finally last week XX/XX/26 or so send me a email stating that my case was denied and the case closed! My mom is on a fixed income and so am i and we can not afford to just lose {$400.00}. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I received a {$420.00} XXXX gift card. Shortly after, there was an unauthorized transaction of {$14.00} at XXXX on XX/XX/year>. I contacted the card issuer and filed a dispute. I completed and submitted the dispute packet and received confirmation that my dispute was received and forwarded to the dispute resolution team. After several months, the company informed me that the refund would be issued to me by check via XXXX. I waited approximately 45 months but never received the check. During this time my mailing address changed, and the company asked me to provide my updated address along with a utility bill as proof of address. I provided the requested documents and verified my current address. Despite this, I still have not received the refund. Each time XXXX contact customer service, they say the issue is being escalated and ask me to call back in 7 days.

Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am submitting a formal complaint regarding multiple prepaid gift cards ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) that have been placed on hold when attempting to use them. I purchased several of these gift cards and have experienced repeated issues when trying to use them. The cards are frequently declined with a status indicating they are on hold. I have attempted to use the cards in various ways, including : Making purchases that exceed the total balance to trigger automatic balance depletion Making small purchases below the available balance Using them for various online transactions Despite these efforts, the same issue continues to occur. I am in physical possession of all affected gift cards, along with the original packaging and purchase receipts. I have not engaged in any activity that would justify restrictions or holds being placed on these cards. The inability to access funds that were paid in full is both frustrating and concerning.

On XX/XX/year>, I purchased a Serve Pay As You Go Visa Prepaid Card and loaded {$500.00} for the purpose of using Bill Pay and Direct Deposit. Upon following instructions to register the card, my application was denied by the issuer. According to the Serve/Pathward Cardholder Agreement ( " Rejection of Terms '' section ), a consumer who does not wish to be bound by the terms must contact customer service prior to using the card to request a refund of unused funds. Since my registration was denied, I can not access the account features I paid for, and I therefore reject the terms. On XX/XX/year>, I spoke with a representative named XXXX who refused my refund request, claiming the funds were " Spend Down Only. '' This is a direct violation of the written agreement which entitles me to a paper check refund for rejecting the terms. And while I was attempting to ask XXXX for the specific written policy he disconnected the call. This was XXXXXXXX XXXX.

recieved a giftcard for christmas. try to activate it online but was told im XXXX the XXXX and using vpn. im in SC and using local ip company. call to activate the card XXXX XXXX. so i had to email them my name address photo of the card, package and receipt. was told i would recieve a check but never recieved. call XXXX time about and told XXXX it was mailed. never was. the postal office send me a picture of all my mail that are sent to me. they some how erased my case and fill it under my XXXX. we have diiferent card, mailing address and email. i tell didn't XXXX no check and activation of card since christmas of XXXX XXXX out locked out my card and cash and this seem as normal practice with this company after a quick google reserches of XXXX of the same thing happen to other people who purchase this card. they just want people to purchase the card, lock them out of their cash and you give up on your money way they can keep it.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a fraudulent incident involving a {$500.00} Vanilla Gift card. Upon receiving the gift card, I attempted to activate it online. Unfortunately, I mistakenly entered the card information on an incorrect website, vainillagift.com, which appeared to be a legitimate and official Vanilla Gift website. The site closely resembled the authentic platform, and I had no reason to suspect it was fraudulent. Shortly after entering the card details, the entire {$500.00} balance was unauthorizedly used on XXXX without my knowledge or consent. I immediately contacted XXXX to report the fraudulent transaction and request information regarding the individual who used the funds. However, they declined to provide any identifying details. I also filed a complaint with XXXX XXXX to report the fraudulent website and the theft of my funds, but to date, no resolution or corrective action has been provided.

I purchased A Vanilla Gift Visa Credit Card. It was declined when tried to use it online to make a purchase. I called their customer service. I was told that the card can not be used online ; even though it clearly says it can be used to make online purchase on the Vanilla Gift Card website. After I discovered that I thought my data would have been erased from the website or it showed it didn't go through on XXXX. On XXXX XXXX XXXX, I received written confirmation that my claim was resolved and a replacement card would be issued. However, the replacement card I received on XXXX XXXX XXXX was only loaded with {$240.00}. This is a {$250.00} deficit from the original disputed amount. I have contacted the company four times since XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XXXX XXXX, I was told the case was reopened with a promised 48-hour response time. No contact was made. On XXXX XXXX I spoke with a representative who was verbally abusive, repeatedly placed me on hold while I was speaking, and eventually hung up on me when I requested a supervisor.

I am filing a complaint regarding improper handling of a prepaid gift card dispute by InComm Payments ( Vanilla Gift Cards ). I purchased a Vanilla Visa gift card that was defective and unusable upon purchase. The card also reflected unauthorized transactions that I did not make. I never had a meaningful opportunity to use the card. I timely submitted the required dispute form and supporting documentation ( completed form, receipt, and photos ) by both email and fax as instructed. The company initially closed my case claiming the documentation was not received. After I escalated, their team confirmed in writing that my documentation had been received. Despite this written confirmation, my case was closed again without explanation or resolution. This pattern demonstrates improper dispute handling and failure to conduct a reasonable investigation after acknowledging receipt of required documentation.

I am filing a complaint regarding payroll withholding errors and my employers refusal to provide copies of my signed XXXX forms as required by federal payroll record laws. During my employment at InComm Payments, the company repeatedly withheld incorrect federal income tax amounts from my paychecks. These errors resulted in under-withholding and inconsistent payroll calculations. Despite raising these concerns directly with HR and payroll, the company failed to correct the withholding issues or provide an explanation for the discrepancies. In addition, I formally requested copies of all XXXX forms I signed during my employment so that I could verify my filing status and claimed allowances. My employer has refused to provide these records, stating they are unable or unwilling to release them.
