reviewed my credit report and found inaccurate and misleading information reported on this account. The account was opened on or around XX/XX/XXXX, with a highest balance of approximately {$240.00}, and is reported as closed on XX/XX/XXXX, with a {$0.00} balance. Despite the account being paid and closed, it is being reported as paid for less than full balance, which is negative and damaging. In addition, the payment history reflects late payments in XXXX, even though the account shows inconsistent and incomplete reporting, including sections marked as No information. I contacted the company and requested verification of the account, including full payment history and documentation supporting the negative reporting. However, the company did not provide sufficient evidence to justify the reporting. The information being reported is inaccurate, incomplete, and misleading, and it is negatively affecting my credit profile.

I opened an account with Kovo about XX/XX/year> but when the account got recognized it made my business score go down so my remedy for this was to pay off this account and in some screen shots they stated that they will report it I just want to make sure they do please this not a complaint because my score went down I just need also they take the balance and it does not go to a savings and the least they can do is report that this account is paid off I am disappointed the fact is that they keep my funds.
CFPB, I am submitting this complaint regarding Kovos installment line of credit product. The product was marketed in a way that made it appear significantly more beneficial and straightforward than it actually is. The way the installment line of credit was presented suggested a low-risk, highly advantageous credit-building opportunity. However, key details regarding how the product functions, associated fees, reporting practices, and repayment structure were not clearly or prominently disclosed at the time of enrollment. The marketing gave the impression that the product would provide meaningful credit benefits without clearly explaining the limitations and costs involved. In my experience, the product did not function in the way a reasonable consumer would expect based on the promotional messaging. I believe the disclosures and advertising may be misleading or insufficiently transparent.…

On XX/XX/year> a company named Kovo INC have put a total of XXXX late payments on my credit report that I havent authorized. Ive never open a KOVO INC account ever. Im also a victim of identity fraud. Id like this removed from my credit report as soon as possible. Its negative affecting my credit score. These marks do not reflect my actual payment history and are being reported in error. I have already attempted to resolve this with the credit bureaus, but the incorrect data remains. I am requesting a full correction of my payment history to reflect 'On-Time ' for these periods as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
I am filing a complaint regarding inaccurate and unverifiable credit reporting by Kovo Inc. related to a credit builder installment account. I disputed multiple late payments reported on my credit report. Kovo responded by stating that their reporting is accurate, but they failed to provide documentation required to properly validate the reporting. Specifically, they did not provide copies of billing statements, delinquency notices, proof of delivery, or evidence that I was properly notified prior to negative reporting. The payment interruption occurred after my bank card was replaced due to fraud. Despite this, I did not receive clear notice or a reasonable opportunity to correct the payment method before the account was reported as delinquent across multiple months. Kovo has not demonstrated that required notices were sent or received before escalating delinquency status.…
Kovo, Inc. is reporting a tradeline on my credit report that contains inaccurate and misleading information, including late payment reporting and delinquency status. I dispute the accuracy of this reporting. Kovo has not provided documentation demonstrating a signed agreement, a complete payment history, or evidence supporting the reported late payments. Despite disputes, the tradeline continues to report delinquent status and late payments, which is negatively impacting my credit profile. This raises concerns regarding compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). I am requesting that Kovo either correct or delete the inaccurate information or provide full documentation verifying the accuracy of the reporting.
I am filing an official complaint against KOVO INC for inaccurately and unlawfully reporting late payments on my consumer credit report. These negative marks violate both the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and the Fair Credit Billing Act ( FCBA ), specifically 15 USC 1666b, because KOVO INC has failed to properly credit my payments, verify the accuracy of any alleged delinquency, or maintain accurate account records. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- - LEGAL VIOLATIONS -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- - Violation of 15 USC 1666b Untimely/Improper Posting of Payments Under federal law, payments must be credited as of the date they are received.…
The company is reporting inaccurate and impossible future dates on my credit report, including payment history, balance updates, and account status updates that have not occurred. This information is false, unverifiable, and violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 607 ( b ), which requires furnishers to report only complete and accurate information. I previously attempted to resolve this issue through the credit bureau, but the company did not provide valid proof or correct the errors. The inaccurate reporting is damaging my credit and preventing me from accessing fair credit opportunities. I am requesting that the company fully validate the account with accurate documents or remove the unverifiable and inaccurate information from all credit bureaus immediately.
I paid off KOVO credit builder account loan amount in full to {$0.00} balance. I asked for the company to remove account from credit report. Due to the fact of the account not helping my credit positively by remaining it as paid. However company refused and stated they do not do that. However I havent found any information or contract that states the account cant be removed from my credit. I asked via email again and I was ignored no reply or response.
I am disputing the inaccurate reporting of a KOVO INC installment account ( account number ending in XXXX, full account XXXX ) on my XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX reports. This account is being reported as 120+ days past due with a {$150.00} balance and multiple late payments ( including 90- and 120-day lates ). The current past-due status, payment history, and balance are inaccurate or unverifiable. KOVO INC is known to report credit-building installment contracts, and I believe the late payment markings and past-due status are either incorrect or the account has been brought current

As a follow up to my previously filed complaint about Kovo refusing to close my credit building account thats misleading and noncompliant with regulations pertaining to consumer protection act, the company immediately contacted me via email threatening me to pay {$30.00} to catch up past due fees within XXXX days time in response to my demand for them to close this said account. They have now less than a week later reported on all three credit bureau reports my account as delinquent.
I opened this card to build my credit. they kept giving me additional fees or wanting money that wasn't part of my payment. then they charged me additional fees after i paid the payments and then tried to pay the card off. this is showing delinquent on my credit report and it doesn't make any sense- i paid the principle balance off. i can't get ahold of anyone there to answer any questions for me or understand how they say i owe this money. there was no additional statement i can get or provide to me and my account is closed.

The payment history, balance, and/or status dates are being reported inaccurately. Date : XX/XX/XXXX From : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TN XXXX XXXX : XX/XX/XXXX SSN ( Last XXXX ) : XXXX To : Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) I submitted a dispute to Kovo regarding inaccurate late-payment reporting for my closed account. Kovo acknowledged my dispute but refused to provide any verification documentation as required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA 611 and 623 ). Instead, Kovo restated that their reporting is accurate but provided no payment records, method of verification, or documentation supporting their claim. This constitutes non-compliance with their duty to conduct a full reinvestigation under the FCRA. I am requesting that the CFPB ensure that Kovo either supplies proper verification documentation or removes the inaccurate late-payment history from my credit file. Please find attached all related correspondence showing XXXX refusal to verify and my original dispute letters. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX
I enrolled in Kovos credit boosting service. When I got a feel for how difficult it was make changes to due dates and became aware that there was no satisfactory way to contact customer service especially in timely manner, I felt it was untrustworthy and attempted on many occasions to not only notify them that my card on file was cancelled due to fraud but that I also wanted to cancel my account. They took an absurd amount of time to respond to my email, ( since leaving a request through their app based portal is the only method of contact, ) but also didnt provide a phone number as requested and didnt honor my request. They didnt even acknowledge it. They kept attempting to charge my old card and then hit my credit with numerous late payments tanking my credit score in the midst of an important time Im applying for credit.
I am disputing the accuracy of a Kovo account being reported on my credit report. It is listed as Late 120 Days, which is inaccurate. I have never received proper validation or documentation supporting this reporting, nor have I received notice of the delinquency in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ). I am requesting that the CFPB investigate Kovos reporting and require the furnisher to provide verified documentation or delete this account entirely from all credit bureaus. The information is damaging, unverifiable, and in violation of the FCRA and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ).
Dear CFPB, I am filing this complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX for violating my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). They are reporting a collection account on my credit report that I have disputed and requested validation for under 15 U.S.C. 1692g ( b ). Despite this, they continue to report the debt without providing any proof that it is valid or that they have the legal right to collect it. This conduct violates FDCPA 807 & 809 ( b ) for deceptive and unverified collection activity and FCRA 623 ( b ) for failing to investigate and correct inaccurate reporting. Courts have confirmed that collectors must provide meaningful validation ( Spears v. Brennan, 745 N.E.2d 862 ( Ind. Ct. App. 2001 ) ) and can not continue reporting unverified debts ( Chaudhry v. Gallerizzo, 174 F.3d 394 ( 4th Cir. 1999 ) ).
I am disputing inaccurate and incomplete reporting of my Kovo Inc. account across all three credit bureaus ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Each bureau has reported conflicting, unverifiable, and misleading information regarding payment history, account status, and closure dates. Despite my formal written disputes to all three bureaus and to Kovo Inc., the account remains incorrectly reported and continues to harm my credit profile. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 1681i and 1681e ( b ), credit reporting agencies must ensure maximum possible accuracy and delete or correct any unverifiable information. Kovo Inc. also has responsibilities under 623 as a furnisher of information. I am requesting that the CFPB require Kovo Inc. and the credit bureaus to delete this account in its entirety. The only acceptable alternative is correction of the account to reflect a positive payment history with no late payments.…
