I am filing this complaint regarding a medical debt of {$3200.00} that is being reported under my name. I formally requested verification of this debt in writing from both the medical provider ( XXXX ) and the lockheart collection agency, including a final follow-up email when I did not receive a response from either. In my requests, I asked for the dates of service, an itemized billing statement, proof the debt is mine, and documentation of any insurance billing. Despite multiple attempts, including my final email, I have not received any response or documentation from either party. The account continues to be pursued and/or reported on my credit report without proper validation. This company recently placed a collection account on my credit report for XXXX that I do not recognize. I have never received any prior written communication, validation notice, or documentation regarding this alleged debt before it was reported. This notice arrived after XXXX XXXX had attempted to dispute the charge on my behalf. Concerns Regarding the Debt I have not received any procedures at the facilities in question that would justify this bill. A third-party debt collections agency, LOCKHART MORRIS & MONTGOMERY , is reporting a medical debt collection account on my credit report in the amount of approximately {$1000.00}. This debt was previously disputed with a prior collections agency who sold the account to LOCKHART MORRIS & MONTGOMERY without resolving the dispute, potentially in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), all reported information must be accurate and verifiable. Given the history of this debt being transferred between collectors without dispute resolution, I have reason to believe the reported amount may be inaccurate or unverifiable. I am requesting that the CFPB require LOCKHART MORRIS & MONTGOMERY to validate this account and immediately remove it if it can not be fully verified from all credit bureaus.
