I called M & T bank multiple times ( specifically, spoke to representative XXXX XXXX ), and my credit card charge dispute was dismissed. I purchased flight tickets with XXXX XXXX which recently went bankruptcy. I did not receive my refund, and have never flown using the above tickets. Representative XXXX XXXX refused to file my credit card charge dispute, stating that because a plane ticket was issued the dispute is invalid. When asked about relevant bank policies, she refused and stated that she wil not give out additional information. When asked to escalate, she said she is already a supervisor. However, after escalating again, she then provided XXXX names of her supervisors. I am filing a complaint against XXXX XXXX and M & T bank given that under the Fair Credit Billing Act, I have the rights to dispute charges on services not delivered. On Thursday XX/XX/XXXX I went through the drive-up ATM at M & T bank located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. I attempted to withdraw {$1000.00}. The ATM asked if I wanted to change the bill mix and I selected that I did. I could hear the machine counting the money, but it never dispersed it. A message appeared that the machine was now temporarily out of service. I pulled out of the drive through and entered the building where an M & T employee said the machine was finicky. She filed a dispute for me immediately and then sent me to the counter to receive the withdraw of {$1000.00}. My online account showed {$1000.00} ATM withdraw ; {$1000.00} credit and then {$1000.00} teller withdraw. Yesterday morning M & T took the money back and when I got home there was a letter stating they were denying my claim because it was properly processes. It couldn't have been processed properly because I didn't receive the money.

On XX/XX/year>, I call M & T Bank to close my account. I spend 41 minutes on the phone, because I am told I need to withdraw all funds before I can close my account. I am unable to setup external transfers on the app, so eventually the representative tells me that I need to go into a branch a branch to setup external transfers so I can zero-balance my account for closure. On XX/XX/year>, I go into a branch to setup external transfers. This takes 30+ minutes. Eventually we are able to allow external transfers on my account ( or so we thought ). In the following days, I continue to receive errors on my external transfers. On XX/XX/year>, I go back into the branch to withdraw the remaining funds in my account. I leave the branch with a balance showing in my account of {$0.00}, as directed by M & T Bank to close my account. On XX/XX/year>, I called M & T Bank to close my account. They tell me that they are unable to close my account due to pending interest.

After my card details were stolen and an unauthorized transfer was attempted, I canceled my debit card and ordered a new one ( XXXX ). On the call, I was told I would receive my card within XXXX business days. Once 7 days had passed, I went to a branch in person on multiple occasions to inform staff that I had still not received it. After XXXX weeks, I had still not received my card, and I called M & T Bank to figure out what the problem was. They told me they would immediately send out a new card with expedited shipping, and I should receive it within XXXX business days. As of now, it has XXXX business days since I reordered a debit card, and I still have not received it.

The services were terminated on XX/XX/2026. My complaint is not regarding the banks business decision to terminate those services. My concern is that following the termination, I have been unable to adequately access essential historical banking records and payment documentation needed for ongoing business operations. Specifically, I need : * ACH payment confirmations, * proof of payment to vendors, * transaction history, * account statements, * downloadable/exportable reports. I attempted to contact the bank after receiving the notice in an effort to discuss the situation and preserve access to necessary records, but I have not received a meaningful operational resolution regarding records access.

A {$3000.00} payment was withdrawn from my bank account and successfully applied to my auto loan. The payment showed as completed on both my bank account and loan account and remained posted for around XXXX month. After about a month, the payment was reversed by the loan company without my authorization. However, the funds were not returned to my bank account, and I was not given any clear explanation of where the money went. I contacted the company to request information regarding the reversal and the whereabouts of the funds. I was told they do not have the money and could not provide details on where it was sent or why it was removed from my loan account. As of now, the {$3000.00} is unaccounted for, and neither my loan account nor my bank account reflects the funds. I am requesting a full investigation and trace of the payment, as well as correction of my account and return of the funds.

I was approved for a loan workout in XX/XX/XXXX. I paid the loan request immediately, only to be told this payment was 'too early '. When I was able to scrounge up another payment, I paid them accordingly, but was delinquent. When I paid another payment in XX/XX/XXXX, the payment took 3 business days to debit from my account- in which time other creditors have debited money from my account, causing this payment to come back NSF. I want to understand why this payment took 3 days to debit ; i do not have this problem with any other debitor, it should not be an issue with a large bank. As a result, my workout renewal has been denied and now I am in the foreclosure proceeding. This feels like a concerted effort by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to make it difficult to keep my home and to being foreclosure proceedings. I have offered in good faith to pay XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX only to be rebuffed in attempt of payment.

I am filing this complaint because the companies involved have failed to provide required servicing records, have given contradictory information about ownership of my VA mortgage, and are missing more than a decade of payment history that federal law requires them to maintain and transfer. According to M & T Bank, they began servicing my loan on or around XX/XX/XXXX. However, when I log into my M & T Bank online account, the earliest available mortgage statement is from XX/XX/XXXX. There are no statements, no payment history, no escrow records, and no tax documents for the years XXXX through XXXX. This missing period is significant because it covers the exact years when : XXXX XXXX XXXX allegedly originated, serviced, and later paid off earlier versions of the loan ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ). Called M & T bank XXXX where no one could provide information as to why it was changed, who made the change, why it was altered, and how long it would be to fix the issue.

It doesn't make senseand frankly, it doesn't feel legalthat a bank can force me to sign a contract that they treat like a " blank check. '' They basically told me they can ignore my instructions, lose my money, and then hide behind their own rules so they don't have to pay me back. The Law vs. Their Contract : M & T is trying to tell me that Sections 23a and 24 of their contract give them the right to ignore my instructions. But these clauses should not be allowed to " validate '' away the actual laws that govern banks. Under UCC Article 4A, a bank has a legal duty to follow a customers payment instructions with ordinary care. A bank shouldn't be able to use a boilerplate contract to opt out of the law or to protect themselves from their own corporate negligence. I notice available funds ( as a result of pending and executed transactions ) and proceed accordingly. I use AVAILABLE funds, and then a few days later see my account is overdrawn and then the bank levies overdraft fees. I don't have XXXX XXXX, but besides that - I am relying on the real-time on-line app information to conduct personal and business transactions. XXXX also told me the bank is not at fault and will not be returning all or a part of these fees ( {$250.00}. ). The bank IS at fault for providing me with incorrect information and I AM entitled to the fees being returned/credited to my accounts.

I contacted M & T Bank on or around XX/XX/XXXX regarding my delinquent auto loan. During that conversation, I was told that if I made a payment, my vehicle would not be repossessed. I relied on that statement and made the payment. Despite this, my vehicle was repossessed shortly afterward without notice. After the fact, I was told my account was approximately 75 days past due. However, this was not communicated to me in a way that made it clear repossession could still proceed despite my payment. I was given a clear assurance that making a payment would prevent repossession. I relied on that representation to my detriment. I called them and they insisted that they have done nothing wrong even though I did not receive any text, calls, emails, or letters regarding my car being in danger of repossession after XX/XX/year>. They in fact told me today XX/XX/XXXX that yesterday XX/XX/XXXX was the cut off date for the car to be repossessed.

I have multiple dates on my bank statements the whole way back to XXXX of XXXX. There are multiple charges, ones that I did not authorize, double charges, tripple charges. Most of the charges were on dates that I was working in a coompletely different county in the opposite direction. I reached out to M & T Bank about the issue when I noticed it starting XX/XX/XXXX. The bank manager told me that I needed to file a police report, otherwise all investigations will not hold. I got the polive report. I submited my PTO that I took during the time fram of the charges, I cross referenced appointments as well. My Daughter stated in the police report that she seen someone writing down my card information. Per M & T, all charges were processed via XXXX. That is impossible. I reached out again and the branch manager said " I dont know what more you want me to do, they will not dispute the charges ''. I asked for a call back from her supervisor, I never received a phone call back.

This determination appears to have been based on inaccurate expense figures that did not reflect my actual financial condition. The expense amounts used in the evaluation were generalized and overstated in several categories, which resulted in a calculation showing negative cash flow. This was not accurate. After receiving the denial, I reviewed my finances and submitted a corrected and verified budget reflecting my actual current expenses. The letter M & T sent is identified at the bottom as " XXXX - XXXX XXXX Suspended Payments Letter. '' This is a solicitation offer letter, not an Evaluation Notice.

I am filing a complaint regarding an unauthorized debit card transaction that my bank, M & T Bank, has refused to properly investigate under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act ( EFTA ). On XX/XX/year>, a charge of {$250.00} was made at a bar using my debit card. I did not authorize this amount, did not sign for this transaction, and did not agree to any open tab or final charge. While my card may have been temporarily accessible, I did not provide authorization for this specific transaction amount. I reported the transaction promptly. The bank initially issued a provisional credit, but later reversed it and denied my claim without providing sufficient evidence that I authorized the {$250.00} charge. The bank has not produced a signed receipt, PIN authorization, or any documentation demonstrating that I approved this amount. Under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, I am entitled to a good faith investigation of unauthorized electronic fund transfers.

A vehicle finance account was fraudulently opened in my name for a XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I complained to the CFPB. In a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, M & T Bank stated that it had determined the account was opened fraudulently and was the result of identity theft, and that it would remove the tradeline from the consumer credit reporting bureaus within XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX days. M & T also refused to reimburse my postage, forwarding, and credit monitoring costs. Despite that fraud determination, I later received a Maryland Re-Notice of Repossession and Right to Redeem dated XX/XX/XXXX regarding the same XXXXXX/XX/XXXXXXXX transaction. That notice still treated me as the borrower, stated the vehicle had been repossessed on XX/XX/XXXX, listed charges totaling {$6800.00}, and gave a sale date of XX/XX/XXXX. This means M & T either continued collection activity after determining the account was identity theft, or failed to stop its systems from sending collection notices to me.

I am filing this complaint regarding M & T Banks failure to properly handle a reported fraudulent wire transfer and the resulting financial harm to me. I reported a fraudulent wire transfer from my account of {$5000.00}. This matter was also documented with my local police department. Despite timely notification, M & T Bank failed to take appropriate action to recall the wire transfer or escalate the matter in a way that could have resulted in recovery of the funds. As a result of the banks inaction, the recipient was able to withdraw and overdraft additional funds, and my account was ultimately closed without resolving the fraud claim. This reflects a serious failure in the banks fraud response and dispute resolution procedures. I dispute any liability for the balance associated with this account. Furthermore, I assert that M & T Banks failure to act directly contributed to my financial loss. Based on this, I am seeking a credit in the amount of {$2600.00}.

M & T said they paid {$2500.00} for house insurance as recorded on their Current History ( XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX ) - " All Transactions XXXX - M & T Bank ''. The actual amount was {$2100.00} paid. I spoke with XXXX and XXXX in the XXXX dept at M & T, who said they paid {$2500.00}. No one knows what they are doing. But in the meantime the {$2500.00} was deleted from our escrow balance, creating a shortage for which our monthly payment was increased from {$1200.00} to {$1300.00} per month. This was just the beginning of discrepancies for which our payments were increased and we were never given credit for the money they used to pay our insurance bill.

We are submitting this complaint against M & T Bank regarding Loan # XXXX for the property at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX. We have submitted three formal Notices of Error under RESPA 12 C.F.R. 1024.35 and 1024.36, dated XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. A Third Notice of Error has been submitted to M & T simultaneously with this complaint. ISSUE 1 MISAPPLICATION OF SHORTAGE PAYMENTS ( {$1200.00} UNACCOUNTED ) Our prior servicer, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, established a shortage repayment plan of {$130.00} per month beginning XX/XX/XXXX, as part of our payment of {$3200.00}. M & T Bank acquired our loan on XX/XX/XXXX and continued collecting {$770.00} per month as the escrow component which is {$640.00} ( base escrow ) plus {$130.00} ( shortage repayment ), confirmed by M & T 's own ledger. From XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, M & T collected 9 months of shortage payments totaling {$1200.00}.

My debit card from M & T was used fraudulently by an unknown person to purchase a gift card from XXXX {$52.00} was debited from my account by M & T on XX/XX/year>. When checking my account information online, I saw the giftcardgranny.com transaction and did not recognize it. I called giftcardgranny.com and was told they would begin a fraud investigation on their end, but that I also needed to have an investigation started by my bank. Again, I never had an account with this merchant, which they can confirm. Today, I received a letter from M & T, which stated, among other things : " We have concluded our investigation and, based on the information available to us, we have determined that the merchant has fully reimbursed you for the transaction ( s ) in question and credited your account. Consequently, we have closed your claim....

My M & T accounts have been frozen since XX/XX/XXXX I was not told the reason. I spent hours of my precious time attempting to resolve any issues. As per the instructions given to me online I called the bank right away and after spending 30 minutes on the phone i was told they can not provide any info or assist on the phone My only option was to go into a branch. XX/XX/XXXX i went to the branch in XXXX XXXX NY I was told the freeze on all accounts was placed due to to a specific check deposited in one of my accounts I answered all questions provided all information and i was promised the issue will be resolved or if any more info would be needed they will call me. 2 weeks passed without any progress or contact. XX/XX/XXXX I reached out to a bank manager XXXX, via email about this issue he responded asked me to provide contact info of the person who provided the check and an invoice for the services provided which i did.
