Student loan· Dealing with your lender or servicerCO

I switched to an XXXX loan after the XXXX plan went defunct and have had my loans for over 25 years and have made XXXX payments that qualify me for loan forgivenss. I reached 300 payments in XXXX of XXXX, however, my loan has still not been forgiven and my loan servicer is still requiring that I make payments. When I switched to the XXXX plan, my loan payments doubled. I know that any payments I make after the 300 payments will be refunded, but it makes sense that they would instead grant an administrative forbearance until they process my loan forgiveness. I contacted them to request this, they gave me the runaround and then stated they have no way of knowing when my forgiveness will be processed. I have been contacting them for over a year for this to be processed and nothing changes. I also don't feel that I should be paying over {$600.00} a month for a loan that should be forgiven and then have to wait for a refund check, seems silly.

I was told to " allow more processing time. '' I am requesting the Department complete its review and issue a determination on my closed school discharge application. I was enrolled when my school closed and I qualify for discharge.

My student loan was put on hold for almost XXXX years. I checked my credit report and saw that there was aXX/XX/XXXXday late payment on that student loan. I did not know they restarted payments. They stated they sent the information for payment to restart to an old email that I use to have. They also stated they called me, but I answer all phone calls and never heard from them, or did they not leave a message. As soon as I saw this I paid in full what was late, and have been paying ever since. Besides this, I have never had a late payment on this debt or any other. This was about a year ago, and I just found out I could file this with your company. I filed a dispute with the credit agency. I also called the company and talked to them, but they were not helpful and stated there was nothing they could do. This was XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX of XXXX. The loan is split into XXXX different parts each listed as Dept of ED/AIDVANTAGE Please let me know if you need anymore information.

I am filing a complaint regarding inaccurate and conflicting reporting of my federal student loan status by MyEdDebt. My FAFSA records indicate that I am not in default ; however, MyEdDebt is reporting my loans as in default and has taken collection control. Additionally, there is a discrepancy with my legal name in federal systems, which appears to be contributing to the inconsistency. This conflicting reporting is actively preventing my ability to enroll in school and access federal financial aid. I have attempted to resolve this directly, but the issue remains unresolved. I am requesting immediate investigation, correction of any inaccurate reporting, and coordination with Federal Student Aid to ensure all systems reflect accurate and consistent information. This situation involves unfair and inaccurate reporting practices that are causing harm to my ability to access education. My federal student loan status is being reported inconsistently.

Student loan· Incorrect information on your reportFL

Formal Complaint Inaccurate Student Loan Reporting and Improper Collection Activity To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint regarding inaccurate credit reporting and improper collection activity related to my student loan account. The student loan accounts in question were paid in full/discharged by the U.S. Department of Education . The loan servicer received this payment and the account balance was satisfied. However, despite the loan being paid, the servicer subsequently transferred the account to a collection agency and it is now being reported as a delinquent collection account. This is inaccurate because no balance was owed at the time the account was placed into collections.I have disputed this inaccurate information with the credit reporting agencies, including XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. However, the disputes were investigated and returned as verified, despite the fact that the information being reported is incorrect.

It is over XXXX months since the discharge. I have contacted my loan servicer multiple times, but I am not getting clear answers. This has been an ongoing battle qirh aidvantage I have filed complaints on how I feel my account is being handled. My federal student loans were XXXX through XXXX XXXX approximately XXXX XXXX ago. My account has shown a negative balance ( refund owed ) for an extended period. I have contacted my loan servicer multiple times and have been told they can not provide any information and that the U.S. Treasury handles refunds. I am requesting confirmation of whether my refund has been processed and sent to the U.S. Treasury, including the date and expected timeline, as well as resolution of any delays. My servicer advised me to file a complaint due to lack of visibility into my refund status.

I applied for Borrowers Defense back in XX/XX/XXXX after attending XXXX XXXX. My loans were placed into forbearance during that time but interest kept accruing the entire time. What I didnt know was that I should have consolidated my loans first, which would have lowered my interest rate and potentially stopped interest from building up. When I called Aidvantage to ask about my options, they told me the setup I had was the BEST option and that consolidating would jeopardize my Borrowers Defense application. I trusted that advice and left everything as-is. Fast forward to XXXX I finally get the email that my XXXX loans were approved for discharge. Aidvantage then told me I could go ahead and consolidate. But when I did, the forgiven loans werent factored in properly, so my interest rate stayed high. To make it worse, I later found out I could have consolidated my loans well before XXXX meaning the advice I was given in XXXX was wrong.

I entered repayment in XX/XX/XXXX and later consolidated my loans in XXXX. My current income-driven repayment plan shows a forgiveness date of XXXX, which does not appear to include my full repayment history prior to consolidation. Based on my repayment start date, I believe I should be significantly closer to forgiveness, and I am requesting confirmation that the IDR account adjustment has been fully applied and that all qualifying repayment time since XXXX has been credited correctly. Additionally, I submitted an application for an Income-Based Repayment ( IBR ) plan, and it has not been processed despite multiple attempts to follow up through calls, messages, and emails. I am requesting a full review of my account to ensure my qualifying payment count is accurate and that my repayment plan application is properly processed

I am writing to formally dispute serious discrepancies and potential misconduct related to my student loan account. First, I have identified that approximately {$10000.00} has been added to the balance of loans that are between XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX and were previously designated for forgiveness. I possess official documentation from the federal government confirming that these loans were to be forgiven. Additionally, I was directed and effectively forced into consolidating loans that were already in the forgiveness process. The Direct Loan Consolidation application was originally submitted in XX/XX/year> ; however, it was not processed until XX/XX/year>. Given the unusual delay, I have reason to believe that key dates may have been altered or misrepresented during processing. Further, I have evidence indicating that : * A fraudulent Income-Based Repayment ( IBR ) application was submitted without my authorization. I have a copy of this document in my possession.

I requested cancellation of a federal XXXX XXXX within the 120-day cancellation window. During that period, the school issued a refund check to an incorrect address, and I did not receive or have access to the funds. I notified the school within the 120-day window that I wished to cancel the loan. However, due to administrative error and delay, the funds were not returned in time. The funds were later reissued and deposited after the 120-day window had passed. Because I did not have possession or control of the funds during the cancellation period, I was unable to return them within the required timeframe. This situation resulted from administrative handling issues rather than borrower inaction. Since then, the school has stopped responding to my communications. I also submitted a complaint to Federal Student Aid ( Case # XXXX ), which remains unresolved.

I am seeking immediate release of a verified overpayment refund of {$8500.00} from Aidvantage. On XX/XX/year>, I overpaid my account by {$8500.00}. Since then, Aidvantage representatives have provided conflicting and verifiably false information. XXXX department claims the check was " mailed on XX/XX/year> '', while another claims the account is " on hold due to a fraud claim ''. Critically : I contacted the U.S. Treasury ( Bureau of the Fiscal Service ) on XX/XX/year>, and they confirmed they have no record of a refund for {$8500.00} ever being transmitted or issued. The " fraud '' flag was caused by a technical error regarding a separate {$1900.00} payment. My bank ( XXXX, Dispute XXXX ) has officially CLOSED that case. I have already received the Treasury check for that smaller amount, proving my address and account are valid. Aidvantage is now withholding nearly {$9000.00} of my funds without legal cause based on an outdated internal security hold.

On XX/XX/XXXX. I formally request a review of a capitalized interest charge of {$2800.00} applied to my account on XX/XX/XXXX. I believe this charge was applied in error and respectfully request its removal. I sent the letter via fax. During the period XXXX, I did not make any payments on this loan, and I was not provided with clear or fair information about my repayment options. There was a payment pause. I was advised that there was no payment due. It was my understanding that under the circumstances, I would not be liable for interest capitalization during this time. Federal student loan regulations restrict the capitalization of interest in cases where borrowers have not been adequately informed of repayment or deferment/forbearance options. Based on these facts, I requested that the servicer Remove the {$2800.00} of capitalized interest from my principal balance. I have not received a response.
