1. What happened? In XX/XX/XXXX, Navient acknowledged its customer service keystroke error caused its misclassification of my XXXX XXXX private student loan and refuses to fix their error. Instead of granting a full Total and Permanent XXXX ( TPD ) discharge, Navient defaulted the loan and left a derogatory tradeline. In XX/XX/XXXX, while I am permanently XXXX and living in a XXXX home, Navient is still pressuring me to pay the remaining balance after incorrectly charging it off. The aforementioned reflects the same misconduct described in CFPB v. Navient Corporation, XXXX XXXX. XXXX ( XXXX. XXXX XXXX ). XXXX. Company response has been inadequate Navient only applied a partial balance reduction after acknowledging that it should have entered the loan into the approved full Total Permanent XXXX discharge. The default and charge-off remain on my credit reports, despite my eligibility for complete discharge. This is an inadequate resolution and harmful to a XXXX borrower.

Student loan· Dealing with your lender or servicerAL

I am submitting this complaint regarding my loan servicer, Navient. I believe I was not properly informed of all available repayment options, specifically income-driven repayment plans. Instead, I was repeatedly placed into forbearance without a clear explanation of how interest would continue to accrue and significantly increase my loan balance over time. During this period, I relied on Navient for guidance and support in managing my student loans. However, I now believe that I was not provided with sufficient or accurate information to make informed financial decisions. As a result, my loan balance increased due to interest accumulation, causing unnecessary financial hardship. I am requesting a full and thorough review of my account, including all forbearance periods, interest charges, and any missed opportunities where alternative repayment options, such as income-driven repayment plans, should have been presented to me.

Ok..... none of the info I entered is actually correct. There were no options available that fit my situation. I had loans through Navient back in late XXXX 's, and saw that there was legal action requiring them to repay some applicants money. My account with Navient is long gone. I was unable on their website to get info regarding possible settlement payment, I had to set up new account in order to give them my current mailing address and phone number. Then a website suggested your website to check on the repayment. I really don't know what to do. I have a feeling that if anyone owes me money, there will be no way to get it because Navient has no current info on student loan applicants from years ago. I doubt that I am the only person with this problem. Thank you for your time.

I am requesting a formal review of my student loan account due to concerns that I was improperly steered into repeated forbearances instead of being informed about or placed into an income-driven repayment plan. While my loans were serviced by Navient, I contacted them seeking help with affordable repayment options. Instead of explaining income-driven repayment plans or helping me enroll in one, I was placed into multiple periods of forbearance. As a result, interest continued to accrue and my loan balance increased significantly. I later learned that income-driven repayment plans were available during that time and could have provided affordable monthly payments while preventing excessive interest growth. My loan was eventually transferred from Navient to XXXX. I am concerned that the handling of my account during Navients servicing period caused financial harm.

Credit card· Incorrect information on your reportGA

I previously disputed several Navient student loan tradelines appearing on my credit report. The credit reporting agencies responded that the information was verified after contacting the furnisher. However, the responses provided did not include a meaningful explanation of the method used to verify the information or the documentation relied upon to confirm the accuracy of the reporting. Additionally, the Navient accounts appear to be reported inconsistently across the credit bureaus. The number and status of these tradelines are not consistent between the bureaus, which raises concerns regarding the accuracy and completeness of the reporting. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, credit reporting agencies are required to ensure maximum possible accuracy of the information they report. Simply stating that the furnisher verified the information does not explain how the accounts were verified, what records were reviewed, or how the information was matched to my credit file.

Between XXXX and XXXX, my previous federal student loan servicer, Navient, engaged in systemic forbearance steering on my account, violating federal consumer financial protection standards. I originally borrowed {$46000.00} to fund my education. Whenever I faced financial hardship, Navient routinely pushed my account into short-term administrative and verbal forbearances instead of properly counseling me on my eligibility for Income-Driven Repayment ( IDR ) plans, which would have legally lowered my payments. Student loan· Getting a loanDE

I am filing a complaint regarding a private student loan serviced by Navient that I believe was issued under predatory and deceptive circumstances. The loan was taken out while attending XXXX XXXX, a for profit institution, with my last year of attendance being 2009. Despite paying a total of {$57000.00} over the life of this loan, only {$10000.00} has been applied to principal. The remaining {$46000.00} has gone entirely to interest, with an additional {$230.00} in fees. This means more than 81 % of all payments have been absorbed by interest alone, and the principal has barely moved. This appears to be a case of negative amortization, which I did not understand or agree to at the time of origination. The loan carries multiple high interest rates of 8.5 %, 11.75 %, 11.75 %, and 6.75 %, far above federal loan rates available during that period.
