Debt collection· Attempts to collect debt not owedGA

On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a written cease-and-desist notice to the company pursuant to 15 U.S.C. 1692c ( c ), stating that this phone number is not associated with any debtor, that I have no business relationship with the company, and directing them to cease all communications. Despite this notice, the company continued sending automated collection text messages, including messages containing payment links. On or about XX/XX/XXXX, the company acknowledged in writing that this is a wrong-party number and that I am not associated with any active account. However, the automated collection texts continued after this confirmation. These communications occurred after both a written cease-and-desist and written confirmation that the number does not belong to the debtor, and therefore constitute continued unlawful contact and harassment in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, including 15 U.S.C. 1692c ( c ) and 1692d.

The communication references an outdated and incorrect address and a balance date of XX/XX/2021, which conflicts with the original delinquency timeline.

I am submitting this complaint regarding NTL Recovery Agency and their reporting of an unverified collection account on my credit file. I disputed this account, and it was marked as verified, however I have not received any documentation to support the validity or accuracy of this debt. No signed agreement, payment history, or proof of ownership has been provided. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1681i and 1681e ( b ) ), all reported information must be accurate and properly investigated. Reporting an account without proper verification is a violation of federal law. NTL Recovery Agency continues to report this account despite failing to provide any supporting documentation. Due to the failure to properly investigate and verify this account, I am requesting that this account be deleted from all credit reporting agencies immediately.
