Oliphant and CFPB About XXXX months ago, I was harassed by text messages from Oliphant Since I do not owe any debt, I asked them the purpose of the contact and they sent me an automated message with no information They did not even say who they were trying to contact They were asked repeatedly to verify the alleged debt. After XXXX different attempts and the refusal to verify the alleged debt, they were asked by myself to cease and desist all communication with me by any methods. They were not to contact me again in the future for any reason at any time. About XXXX weeks later after never verifying the alleged debt, they ruined my perfect credit score of over XXXX by placing a confusing negative entry on my credit report I immediately contacted the XXXX XXXX XXXX and ask them to cease all communication with me once again since they have failed to valid the debt I had to spend much time figuring out how to challenge this unknown entry on my credit reports.

I sent a formal debt validation request via Certified Mail on XXXX. The collector responded with a self-generated summary rather than the requested original contract or billing statements. This summary does not provide sufficient evidence of the debt 's validity or my legal obligation to pay it. Despite this lack of verification, the collector is still calling/has not removed the mark from my credit report, which violates the FDCPA. I am filing a complaint against Oliphant Financial regarding inaccurate debt collection and credit reporting. This company purchased a XXXX loan account after I made approximately eight months of payments. Despite this, they are reporting and attempting to collect the full original loan balance of {$25000.00} and are identifying themselves as the original creditor, which is inaccurate. This incorrect balance is now being reported to credit bureaus and is interfering with my active mortgage approval process. I have formally requested debt validation and payment history documentation. The reported balance does not reflect prior payments and appears materially inaccurate. I am requesting immediate investigation, correction of the reported balance, and proper creditor identification. If the amount can not be documented and verified, the tradeline should be removed.

In Oliphants CFPB responses, they stated that a validation of debt package was requested from the servicer of the account yet that validation package has never been provided to me. If Oliphant is the alleged owner or has authority to collect/furnish, they should already possess the underlying account-level documentation needed to validate and substantiate the alleged debt. Instead, they reference a servicer and a requested validation package while continuing collection/furnishing activity. This is not consistent with a lawful, reasonable, good-faith approach to collecting or furnishing information about an alleged debt.

I am disputing XXXX collection accounts that are being reported on my credit file which I do not recognize and never authorized. Waking up to debts that are unverified and do not belong to me has been both frustrating and overwhelming. I received a notice about a debt that I believe is not mine. The amount listed is {$1500.00}, and it appears to be linked to a company I have never dealt with. I tried to contact the company several times to clarify the situation, but I did not receive clear answers. In addition, I found out that the debt was handed over to a collection agency, which made me feel uncomfortable and worried, as I never agreed to or even knew about this debt. The account was marked as " disputed, '' but I still keep receiving messages about the debt. I first found out about this issue when I checked my credit report on [ insert date ], and I've tried to reach the company since then, but there has been no resolution. The last contact I had with the company was on [ insert date ], but there was no progress, and I was left with more confusion than answers.
