Debt collection· Attempts to collect debt not owedOH

I opened a utility account with XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX for a residence and later moved out of the property. After I moved out, the account continued to accrue charges under my name even though I no longer lived at or used services at that location. I contacted the company by phone to cancel service, however they are now claiming they have no record of this. Regardless, I was no longer residing at the property and should not be held responsible for any charges incurred after my move-out date. I am not responsible for any balance generated after I vacated the residence. I have disputed this account multiple times, yet it continues to be reported and the balance is periodically adjusted by small amounts. I am requesting full validation of this debt, including proof of service usage tied to me after I moved out, proof I was still responsible for the account during that time, and documentation of how this balance was calculated.

Debt collection· Attempts to collect debt not owedFL

I am filing a complaint against multiple debt collection agencies for engaging in unlawful collection practices and credit reporting violations under the FDCPA and FCRA. After disputing the alleged debts and requesting validation under 15 U.S.C. XXXXg, the companies failed to provide sufficient documentation proving I owe the debts, such as signed agreements, chain-of-title records, ownership proof, or a full account breakdown. Despite this, they continue collection efforts and may be reporting unverified information to credit bureaus. These actions potentially violate several provisions of federal law, including failures to validate debts, misleading representations, unfair practices, improper collection activity, and inaccurate credit reporting. Overall, their conduct suggests a pattern of attempting to collect debts without proper documentation while furnishing potentially inaccurate information, which may expose them to legal liability.

I formally dispute the accuracy, validity, and legal enforceability of this alleged utility debt. Prior to any placement with a third-party collection agency, I disputed the billing directly with the original creditor, XXXX XXXX XXXX due to unresolved billing discrepancies, lack of proper itemization, and disputed service conditions. That dispute was never resolved by the original creditor. After placement with the collection agency, I timely exercised my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) by requesting full debt validation, including competent evidence of the amount claimed, proof of assignment, and a complete itemized billing history. I submitted these requests in writing, including certified mail. To date, the collection agency has failed to provide proper validation as required under 15 U.S.C. 1692g. Merely forwarding a copy of an original creditors bill does not constitute debt validation when the underlying charges remain disputed and unverified.

I requested full validation of the alleged debt, including a copy of the original contract bearing my signature, a complete payment history, documentation showing I am legally responsible, and an itemized breakdown of how the balance was calculated. The company did not provide any documentation directly to me. Instead, the account continues to report on my credit file with the remark dispute resolved subscriber disagrees. This does not constitute proper validation. Reporting a debt without providing documentation and marking it as verified without proof is inaccurate and misleading.
