I filed dispute charges made in my account towards Prosper Credit Card company. There are several charges that I did not authorized. While in dispute process, the credit company closed my account without telling me the reason why. My account showed charges where refunded. I called the company and asked that they issue me a check since I don't owe them any balances. The company refused to issue me over paid amount instead they close my account.

I am writing to formally dispute the following account that is being reported on my credit file I do not recognize this account and I did not open it. I believe this account is the result of identity theft or fraudulent activity.Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), I am requesting that you Conduct a full investigation of this account and provide verification that this account was legally opened by me. If you can not provide proof that this account belongs to me, I demand that it be permanently deleted from my credit report immediately. I recently got approved for prosper credit card a week ago for XXXX. Prosper gives you immediate access of XXXX percent of your credit until your card comes. XXXX day before my card arrives, prosper says I have fraudulent activities on my account and shuts off everything, when I check my account it says passed due and my account is restricted. I dont have a minimum due at this time. I saw a lot of reviews saying prosper shuts off your card for fraud or reason that is unacceptable. I should have looked them up before applying. I talked to reps, the reps keeps saying they are sending notes to fraud to unlock my account. This card is a joke.

XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, sent me improper documents regarding a debt that I had with Prosper years ago that was already paid off to use as proof of the debt that they are alleging I owe them. I requested a full debt validation in a letter via certified mail, and have not received anything to verify this alleged debt and now although I have not yet been served, they have filed a law suit against me. I found this out by receiving many letters from attorneys advertising their services to help with this lawsuit.

A payment of {$980.00} was paid to Prosper credit card on XX/XX/26 using a debit card to use as available credit. On XX/XX/26, the Prosper app confirmed my available credit as {$900.00} but I was unable to use the card. A call to Prosper confirmed they have an internal policy where there is an automatic 10 day hold on next payment when an initial payment fails as it did on XX/XX/26. They dont have this process in writing after making multiple requests to see it. Their customer service says there is no way to remove hold or refund money and there is no internal process to review or dispute this. I asked Prosper loan services to delete my personal data, one of the reasons being that they recently had a security breach where client data was stolen and have thus proven they mishandled client data. They refused to do so and said their justification was that I did not live in a state with data privacy protections. There needs to be federal protections for people against incompetent and ruthless companies such as these that exploit people but using their data for profit. I continue to get offers in the mail saying I am preapproved for a large sum of money to consolidate credit card debt and then when I scan the offer, they say Im not approved but list five other Scam companies that are willing to give me a loan at like it 22 % interest rate or something ridiculous and Im tired of getting this XXXX in my mail just so they can get me to scan it and steal my information. If theyre not gon na honor their offer, then they shouldnt be saying XXXX preapproved. This is the second or third one that Ive received this week and on top of that I continue to get Spam calls for Loans to the point where I can not even go an hour without missing three spam calls.
I attempted to get a loan from this company over XXXX years ago. My name has been legally changed by me, and they won't stop sending me information with the old name. I've asked them to change my name, and they wouldn't. I've asked them to delete my account, and they wouldn't. I didn't even get the loan, for whatever reason. There's no excuse for them not to change anything and require me to provide court documents. I stress that I DID NOT GET THE LOAN FROM THEM! I'm not applying to get a loan and told them I won't be doing business with them for being obnoxious. Oops, the email address has my legal name attached to the one I just sent them. My credit card company recently lowered my credit limit claiming my credit score had dropped. This explanation is not accurate. My credit score is the same as it was when I was originally approved for this credit card, and my payment history has not changed. I received an email about billing statements regarding a credit card with Prosper ; however, I have no recollection of opening this account. Even though the account has positive reporting on my credit reports, I disputed the account a few times since I have no knowledge of when and where I opened the account. I have a Prosper Credit Card. When I signed up for the card I was approved with a {$1500.00} limit. I opened the card in 2024. Several months into having the card, with no explanation, I get an email that my credit limit is being reduced to {$500.00}. While I was still paying down the balance and after my credit card limit was reduced, I began having an issue where when I would log into the app and website, it would say that I didn't have a credit card account at all and it would invite me to apply for a credit card or loan. The only way I was able to pay the balance was by phone after the website and app stopped recognizing my account. I reached out to the CEO and got an email from a customer service rep informing me that I still have a credit card with them. I don't have this problem with any other credit card I have. I don't know what their issue is.
Prosper Cards is charging me a paper statement fee on my closed credit card account. Normally a consumer could opt-in to electronic delivery to avoid this fee, but Prosper prevents closed accounts from accessing the online portal. This means I have no ability to choose electronic statements or avoid these fees. The company is required to provide statements, but I do not believe they can impose a fee that I have no meaningful ability to avoid. This appears to be an unfair practice, as I am being charged for a required disclosure without an alternative option. I am requesting the CFPB investigate and direct the company to refund these fees and provide account access or remove the unavoidable paper statement charge.
Prosper XXXX XXXX violated my explicit written instructions for communication and privacy. I informed the company in multiple written notices that all correspondence must be directed to my P.O.
