Checking or savings account· Problem caused by your funds being lowSC

I am submitting a complaint regarding excessive and repeated overdraft ( NSF ) fees assessed on my account within a very short timeframe, which I believe to be unfair and disproportionate. On XX/XX/year>, I was charged an overdraft fee of {$72.00}. On XX/XX/year>, I was charged an additional overdraft fee of {$36.00}. In addition, I currently have a pending overdraft fee of {$100.00}, bringing the total overdraft-related fees to {$210.00} within approximately a XXXX hour period. These fees appear to have been triggered by multiple small transactions, including : * XXXX XXXX {$23.00} ( XX/XX/year> XXXX XXXX XXXX {$5.00}, {$3.00}, and {$7.00} ( XX/XX/year> ) * XXXX {$7.00} and {$29.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX {$58.00} * Additional pending transactions including XXXX {$19.00} and XXXX {$80.00} The total amount of the transactions is significantly lower than the total overdraft fees assessed.

I am filing this complaint against Regions Bank regarding their failure to properly investigate an unauthorized transaction of {$1700.00} from a merchant named XXXX. This situation began when my debit card information was harvested by a fraudulent phishing website ( XXXX ). Shortly after, the unauthorized {$1700.00} charge appeared. Regions Bank initially credited my account but has since reversed it, claiming the transaction was " authorized '' simply because the merchant provided a tracking number. However, Regions is overlooking critical evidence of fraud that I have already presented to several representatives at my local branch : The Physical Impossibility : The official XXXX tracking for this " order '' shows a shipment weight of only XXXX lbs. I am filing a complaint regarding overdraft fees that were caused by a merchant error and how my bank handled the situation unfairly. On XX/XX/year>, I was incorrectly charged {$94.00} by XXXX XXXX when the correct amount should have been {$14.00}. This error caused my account to become overdrawn and resulted in {$72.00} in overdraft fees. The restaurant corrected the error on XX/XX/year>, confirming that the issue was not caused by me. When I contacted my bank, I was told they would need to submit a request and that I would have to wait 72 hours for the overdraft fees to be refunded. The bank refused to promptly reverse the fees, even though they were clearly caused by a merchant error. On XX/XX/year>, I spoke with a supervisor and, because I needed access to my funds immediately, I was effectively forced to use my one-time courtesy refund to have the overdraft fees removed right away.

The account is reporting inaccurate payment history and invalid date information. Specifically, the reported delinquency dates, late-payment dates, and/or status dates are incorrect and do not reflect the actual account history. The furnishing of false late-payment information and inaccurate dates is damaging my credit profile and creates a misleading payment history.

Despite these hardships, I am doing everything I can to stay on top of my finances and clear my balance as soon as I get paid, but the banks current policies are making it impossible for me to recover. The following issues are causing me extreme financial distress : Arbitrary Overdraft Limits : While I am manually limited to a {$300.00} overdraft, Regions frequently allows my account to exceed a negative {$400.00} balance. I was charged {$100.00} in overdraft fees that appear to come from a single insufficient funds event. Transactions I made before my account became negative posted afterward, triggering multiple overdraft fees. I contacted the bank 2 weeks ago about the same issue but they resolved it. This time I contacted customer service multiple times and requested escalation. I was told there is no one above the managers and no further review is available. I was also told they could not do anything about the fees. I am requesting a full audit of transaction posting order and overdraft fee assessment, and a refund of these fees, as they appear to be the result of how transactions were processed rather than separate overdraft decisions. Additionally, I opened an account under a {$300.00} promotional offer and met all required conditions.
