I am filing this complaint regarding Reliant Capital Solutions , LLC for failure to properly validate an alleged debt and continued reporting of unverified information to the credit bureaus. On XX/XX/year>, I sent a formal debt validation request pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) XXXX, requesting documentation to verify the alleged debt. In response, Reliant Capital Solutions provided only a generic itemized statement, which appears to be a printout and does not constitute proper validation of the debt. Reliant Capital Solutions , LLC is attempting to collect an alleged debt originating from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Account Ending in XXXX ). I am disputing this debt because Reliant has failed to provide sufficient verification that they own this account or are legally authorized to collect it. They have not provided a complete accounting of the debt, nor have they provided a " chain of title '' proving the debt was legally transferred from XXXX XXXX to Reliant. I question Reliant 's standing to sue or collect under O.C.G.A. XXXX as they may be a debt collector without the proper rights to enforce the instrument. I have attached a formal " ACCOUNTING AND STANDING DEMAND '' which I sent to Reliant via email at XXXX on XX/XX/year>. The demand letter is also attached to this complaint. Your recent communication included an account ledger ; however, the documentation provided is incomplete and inconsistent. The ledger contains chronological irregularities : XXXX sequence ends at XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, followed by an unrelated entry from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, and another restart dated XX/XX/XXXX. The amounts listed are inconsistent with the original alleged balance your agency previously quoted. Your original balance was approximately {$8000.00}, yet your ledger has a balance of {$3200.00}. It never states the beginning balance amount. I obtained a credit notice from a different collection company regarding this same alleged account, originating from XXXX, with a different ( lower ) balance of {$6800.00} dated XX/XX/XXXX. The collector has provided records that are incorrect, inconsistent, and conflicting, and I dispute the validity and accuracy of this account.

A collection account was placed with Reliant Capital Solutions by XXXX University. The Reliant online portal showed two components of the balance : a principal amount and separate collection fees. XXXX University stated that the university could review the principal portion only after the collection fees were addressed with Reliant. Multiple calls were made to Reliant on XX/XX/year>, and full audio recordings of the conversations exist. During the first call, a Reliant representative stated that Reliant did not add the collection fees and that the fees were added by XXXX University. This information conflicted with XXXX Universitys published policy, which clearly states : As a collections agency, Reliant adds collection fees to a students past due balance, and there may be a negative impact on the students credit scores. A second call to Reliant resulted in the same incorrect assertion that XXXX University added the collection fees.

I inquired about disputing the current balance and requested a statement showing the original debt and all payments made to the account. A representative advised me to review my bank statements. I replied that this did not address the disputed amount. She then told me to look online. I explained that the online portal only displays the current balance and does not include any documents or account history. She stated that she was unable to provide the account history and could only tell me the original debt amount over the phone. I responded that this information was insufficient to resolve the dispute. She concluded by saying she could not assist further and that there was nothing else she could do.
