Vehicle loan or lease· Managing the loan or leaseMO

I am filing this complaint because Santander is reporting an improper remaining balance on an auto loan that was fully paid off by the dealership at the time of my vehicle tradein. Their actions are inaccurate, negligent, and causing ongoing financial harm. On the date of tradein, the dealership obtained a XXXXday payoff quote directly from Santander. The dealership then paid the exact amount Santander provided. Despite this, Santander is now claiming that I still owe an additional {$580.00}, stating that the payoff they themselves issued was incorrect. This is not a consumer error it is a Santander error.

I am filing a complaint regarding a {$490.00} fee charged by Chrysler Capital after I returned my leased vehicle. At the time I returned the vehicle, all payments on the lease were current and the account was in good standing. I returned the vehicle approximately XXXX weeks before the lease maturity date and believed that returning it slightly early would not result in additional charges since my payment obligations had been met. After returning the vehicle, I was informed that I owe a {$490.00} fee. I have attempted several times to contact Chrysler Capital to speak with a supervisor to understand the basis for this charge and request a review. However, when representatives attempted to transfer me to a supervisor, my calls were disconnected and I was unable to speak with anyone with authority to review the fee.

I am filing a complaint against Santander Consumer USA for improper autoloan servicing, misapplication of insurance and GAP payments, and continued assessment of interest and fees after my vehicle was declared a total loss. My vehicle was totaled, and both XXXX ( my auto insurer ) and my GAP insurance provider issued payments to Santander to satisfy the remaining balance. XXXX issued a payment of {$600.00} on XX/XX/2026, which Santander received. GAP also issued a payoff amount intended to close the loan in full. Despite this, Santander is : - Failing to apply XXXX {$600.00} payment to my account - Adding interest and fees after the totalloss date - Providing inconsistent and inaccurate balances - Charging late fees and miscellaneous fees that should not exist after payoff - Claiming I still owe a balance ( {$34.00}, then $ 300+, ) despite insurance and GAP payments covering the loan My transaction history shows multiple irregularities, including : - A late fee of {$34.00} added

I obtained a personal installment loan with XXXXXXXX XXXX in approximately XXXX for an original amount of {$26000.00} with an APR of 17.74 %. My required monthly payment has been {$630.00}. During the first portion of the loan, I enrolled in automatic payments based on the understanding that I would receive an interest rate reduction of approximately 0.25 % for autopay enrollment. After reviewing my account history, I do not see evidence that this autopay interest rate reduction was applied. I later discontinued automatic payments after noticing this issue. Over the course of the loan, I have made both regular monthly payments and additional principal-only payments intended to reduce my loan balance more quickly. Despite these payments, I have concerns about how payments were applied to principal versus interest.

On or about XX/XX/year>, I received a rent payment in the amount of {$1700.00} from my tenant as part of a standard rental agreement. Shortly after receiving this payment, my Santander account was unexpectedly locked. I was not provided with any prior notice, clear explanation, or immediate resolution regarding this restriction. I was later informed that the issue was related to my tenants account, which is currently under review by Santander. As a result of Santanders actions : - I have been unable to access my funds- Multiple scheduled bill payments have been declined or returned - I have incurred financial disruption and potential penalties due to lack of access to my account I accepted this payment in good faith and had no knowledge of any issue associated with the originating account.

CFPB Follow-Up Complaint Misrepresentation and Incomplete Response I am submitting a follow-up complaint regarding my account ending in XXXX and Santanders response to CFPB Case No. XXXX. Santanders response to the CFPB failed to address my primary complaint and contains additional inaccurate statements. First, Santander has repeatedly stated that I agreed to settlement terms during a telephone conversation on XX/XX/year>. This is completely false. I did not have any such conversation, and no agreement was made by phone. Despite this being the central issue in my complaint, Santander did not address or correct this false claim in their CFPB response. Second, in their response to the CFPB, Santander stated that an {$8000.00} settlement was approved as requested. This is also inaccurate. I did not request an {$8000.00} settlement, nor did I agree to any settlement terms. This is another example of misrepresentation regarding my account.
