I am filing a complaint against Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc. ( SPS ) regarding their handling of an insurance loss payout for my property, which was a 100 % total loss. Throughout the entire rebuild process, SPS has used delay tactics that have slowed access to insurance proceeds needed to complete reconstruction. The most recent and significant issue involves the reimbursement for completed septic work. Despite providing documentation showing that all work was fully completed and code-compliant, SPS has continued to withhold funds since XX/XX/2026. I am submitting this complaint regarding Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc.s handling of my loss mitigation process and the loan modification outcome offered on my mortgage. I submitted a Notice of Error and inquiries regarding loss mitigation review and escrow concerns. Select Portfolio Servicing has been placing payments made by the Trustee and XXXX and XXXX XXXX, into an 'unapplied ' status causing the mortgage interest and fees to increase. Select Portfolio Servicing has been paying the property taxes inconsistently from XXXX to XXXX causing a surge to the homeowner escrow payments due and which results in unaffordable monthy payments. Select Porfolio Servicing would have recieved those escrow payments being included in the bankruptcy submitted by the courts and was not applied correctly to the escrow balances, which resulted in an unnecessary Home modification on XXXX occassions, the most recent being in XX/XX/XXXX, to cause the homeowners stress to foreclose or sell.

We have attempted for an extended period of time to resolve issues with our mortgage loan serviced by Select Portfolio Servicing ( SPS ). The company ask me to bring in {$22000.00} to cure my loan which they already filed a motion to release from stay so they can process a foreclosure Now that my XXXX XXXX has been fully discharged and I made the cure amount now SPS is taking part of my XXXX Payment and applying {$1000.00} some where which I have no idea and neither do they. I made several principal and interest payments to catch up on my payments. I clearly stated several times that my payments were principal and interest only and they applied it how they wanted to. This has happened several times and I am tired of it! Please help hold them accountable. They cause people to loose their homes due to their negligence. Please help me.
