From XXXX to XXXX, I was in active repayment on my XXXX consolidated loans while working for a qualifying public service employer, Texas XXXX. In XXXX, I consolidated those XXXX loans into a XXXX XXXX XXXX specifically to become eligible for the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) program. According to the Department of Educations one-time account adjustment rules, my pre-consolidation payments ( XXXX ) should count toward my 120-payment requirement, even though they were originally made on XXXX loans. I have already submitted XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ( XXXX ) covering this entire period, and those forms have been received. However, these years are currently missing entirely from my XXXX payment tracker on StudentAid.gov. They are not listed as 'Ineligible ' ; they simply do not appear in my payment history at all. My XXXX count dropped from XXXX to XXXX AFTER I made XXXX payments and submitted my signed employer verification XX/XX/XXXX. I am submitting this complaint to document harm caused by the automatic administrative forbearance applied to my federal student loans related to the SAVE repayment plan. I was placed into this forbearance automatically and without my request in XXXX of XXXX. As a borrower working toward Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ), this action has resulted in months that do not count toward my required 120 qualifying payments, despite my continued public service employment. This situation has caused a loss of qualifying PSLF months due to an administrative decision outside my control, an inability to make qualifying payments during the period of waiting to determine how loans previously on SAVE would be moved to another plan, and uncertainty regarding my future eligibility and loan forgiveness timeline. I have consistently maintained qualifying employment for PSLF and have made every effort to remain compliant with repayment requirements from the Department of Education.
