I obtained a home improvement loan through Mosaic, which later entered bankruptcy and is now being serviced by Solar Servicing LLC. After the servicing transfer, I was not provided with clear documentation regarding the ownership of the loan or the servicing authority. I had an automatic payment ( ACH ) arrangement in place, which qualified for a lower interest rate and had been used consistently. Solar Servicing LLC unilaterally canceled this arrangement without my authorization. Shortly after, my access to the online account and payment portal was restricted. This restriction was confirmed by a company representative, effectively preventing me from making any payments. Despite this, the company is now demanding that I make payments by check or reauthorize automatic payments under new terms that include a higher interest rate. No clear or consistent payment instructions have been providedonly billing statements and a new autopay authorization form.…

It also asked Solar Servicing to identify the actual servicer if it claimed to be only a subservicer. On XXXX XXXX XXXX, my wife and I signed an agreement to sell our house to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. Included in this sale were the solar panels attached to the roof which were still under an active loan with Solar Mosaic. Solar Mosaic then completed the UCC-1 filing to temporarily lift the lien in order for the sale of the house and solar panels to move to closing. In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX sold us solar panels. The loan was through Mosaic. At that time me and my brother bought them, we confirmed with both companies that the loan would be transferable if we were to move prior to the payoff of the loan. I never received any copy of the terms and conditions of the loan, all I received is the closing certificate. XX/XX/XXXX I called Mosaic to confirm again that the loan was transferable because we were listing our home to sell at the time. They assured me that yes the loan IS transferable. We ended up not selling the home so didnt move forward at that time. Fast forward to now, XX/XX/XXXX, we are under contract for our home so once again I called Mosaic and I asked them what paper work I could get to start the transfer process. The guy XXXX I spoke with told me that they are not transferable. I told him that I called a few months ago and was told the opposite.…

XX/XX/year> XXXX XXXX confirmed the project was canceled in their system. Despite the cancellation and the fact that no installation occurred, the Mosaic loan remains active and continues to appear on my credit report. Mosaic has stated that they can not cancel the loan without written authorization from the contractor because a portion of the loan was funded to XXXX XXXX.…

In XX/XX/XXXX I opened a loan with Mosaic XXXX XXXX for a windows loan with a monthly payment of {$130.00} that was due on the XXXX of the month with a 15 day grace period. I was consistently on time with my payments with XXXX issues. XXXX XXXX I was emailed that the company Mosaic XXXX had filed bankruptcy and that Solar Servicing LLC had taken over. That month for whatever reason my XXXX payment wasn't taken out until XX/XX/XXXX for {$250.00} which was different from the normal withdrawal that usually occurred between the XXXX of the month. On XXXX they emailed me that they hadn't received my payment. On XXXX their site shows payment was made, then on XX/XX/XXXX said the check was returned, can't locate account. I have a fixed-rate solar loan originally financed through Solar Mosaic LLC XXXX After Mosaic loan servicing entered bankruptcy, Solar Servicing took over servicing my loan. Solar Servicing is now demanding either a $ XXXX increase or a {$2900.00} lump-sum payment to maintain my existing payment. My original loan agreement does not permit any such modification, and Solar Servicing has provided documents containing incorrect borrower address and incorrect loan number. I believe this constitutes improper loan servicing, inaccurate account information, and an unlawful attempt to modify a fixed-rate loan without consent, in violation of TILA, RESPA, and state consumer protection laws. I am requesting enforcement of the original loan terms, correction of account errors, and cessation of improper payment demands.
Solar Servicing LLC took over for Mosaic when they declared bankruptcy. They are saying that I owe them money for solar panels never installed. My dispute is not about modifying or cancelling a valid loan. My dispute is that no valid loan ever existed because the solar panel system was never installed. Here are the key facts of my situation : I signed up for solar panels but cancelled the project before any installation occurred. No equipment was delivered, no work was performed, and no system was installed on my property. Despite this, Mosaic ( or its related entities ) attempted to hold me financially responsible for a loan tied to a solar system that does not exist. A lender can not enforce a loan for goods or services that were never provided. My dispute is about fraudulent or invalid loan origination, not about changing the terms of a legitimate loan. Regarding the bankruptcy notice : I understand that the XXXX XXXX can not modify or cancel loan obligations.…
In XX/XX/year>, I purchased a solar system sold by XXXX and installed by XXXX XXXX XXXX. The system was financed through Mosaic. At the time of sale, I was retired and receiving income primarily from Social Security, VA XXXX benefits, and retirement income. The salesperson, XXXX XXXX of XXXX, was aware that I was retired. During the sales process, I was told that I would receive a guaranteed federal solar tax credit of approximately {$14000.00} and that my monthly payment would remain approximately {$160.00} after applying that amount to the loan.
In XXXX, XXXX I opened a loan with Mosaic/Solar Servicing for solar panel and battery installation for the amount of {$21000.00}. The project was cancelled in XXXX due to delays. Mosaic went bankrupt in XXXX, XXXX and was bought out by Solar Servicing. They required me to start making monthly payments of {$220.00} towards my loan. I have made many requests for them to cancel this loan and issue the refund since the project was cancelled, and I never received any goods or services. Mosaic/Solar Servicing has failed to complete the loan cancellation or provide any type of resolution for me.
I am filing a complaint regarding a residential solar loan connected to a system sold by XXXX XXXX XXXX and financed through Mosaic. The solar system was sold to me during an in-home presentation with explicit representations that : My XXXX XXXX would be eliminated The system would generate excess power and financial benefit The loan payment would replace my prior electric costs Federal tax credits would make the system financially advantageous These representations were materially false. Prior to solar, my electric bill averaged under {$200.00} per month. After installation, my electric bill alone now reaches approximately {$300.00} {$360.00} per month, and I must also pay a solar loan payment of {$210.00}. My combined energy cost is now roughly triple what I paid prior to solar. I relied on these financial representations when entering the loan agreement. Had accurate financial performance been disclosed, I would not have entered this financing.…
I am a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX in Idaho. My husband is XXXX and XXXX A door-to-door- salesperson presented a proposal stating the system would cost approximately {$45000.00} and that we would be " trading our electric bill for a solar payment. A XXXX fixture XXXX was placed without clear disclosure that a XXXX would be recorded. Our original payment was approximately {$350.00} per month and later increased to {$570.00} per month. We were not clearly informed that payments would increase if certain tax credit assumptions were not met. The solar panel system does not meet our electrical needs as promised. We still pay a power bill. We still rely on our wood burning stove to heat our home. The original lender was Mosaic. The loan has since been transferred to Solar Servicing.…
We got pre approved for a loan through XXXX XXXX in Oregon. We ended up not proceeding due to needing a roof before we could have solar installed. XXXX XXXX sent the loan through anyway and we now have an open balance since XX/XX/year> of over {$21000.00}. XXXXolar Mosaic is the loan company ( now called Solar Servicing LLC ). There seems to be quite a few complains about my exact situation. Its hurting my ability to finance other things for my family. Ive been going back and forth with both XXXX forever and Solar Mosaic. I have a cancellation confirmation from XXXX XXXX so it appears the issue to be on the financial companies side.
Solar was attempted to be transferred with Mosaic Solar Loan Financing to new homeowner before closing of escrow XXXX of XXXX.
