I received a notice back in XXXX or XXXX about a change of address on my account, which turned out to be a result of fraud/identity theft. I contacted First Digital, let them know what was going, informed them that I hadnt had access to the account or used it in some time, and they went the through the process of closing out my card and disputing charges. I also provided them of my one and only address in Arizona, far from the Texas address they had. A new card was put into place, yet I never received it, nor any statements going forward. I was told someone would contact me when I reported the fraud. No one contacted me. Over the next few months I attempted to contact them, getting an automated message stating due to high call volume no one could help me, and disconnected. I got a notice in the mail, mid XXXX, saying the fraud issue had been cleared and I was not responsible for any charges.

I had an account through them years ago and kept up on all my payments and made sure it was all on time one day I decided that I no longer needed the account because I had lost my card and didn't want to deal with credit cards anymore I had called and canceled the card after paying the debt that I owed it was months later when the account got reopened unbeknownst to me and a membership fee was in charge without my knowledge without my consent and continued to rack up late fee and interest over the year or an and a half that it was active for before I realized what had happened and so I called them they said that they seen where I tried to close my account before and that it was reinstated for some reason in XXXX of that year and that's what had happened was the membership fee just accrued interest in late payments and he said he would take care of it not to worry and the account would be closed and to put in a rebuttal with the credit bureau and that it would all be resolved well it

To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to request assistance regarding improper late fees and account handling failures by First Digital. On XX/XX/XXXX, I ordered a replacement card through First Digital. After not receiving the card, I contacted customer service on XX/XX/XXXX and was advised that the replacement card would be sent. On XX/XX/XXXX, after still not receiving the replacement card, I contacted First Digital again. At that time, I was informed that I was not past 14 business days and that I would be required to pay {$35.00} in order to receive a replacement card, despite the prior request and delay. Additionally, I was charged {$41.00} in late fees, even though I had made my payment the day prior. These late fees were assessed while I was still without a usable card and attempting to resolve the replacement issue through customer service.

Payments to this company have been made on time. One month I filed a dispute regarding payments made to a service that hade been cancelled. The company accepted the dispute, reissued the card but couldn't take the payment because of the transition of the account of the old card to the new card. The charged me a late fee but reassured me that they would credit the late fee because them not accepting the payment had to do with their system. When it came time to provide the credit it didn't happen. Further I continued to make my payments every month on the due date. The company then began charging me a late fee because of the time of day that the payments were made on the due date. I questioned them about this and they said that it was in the terms and conditions that they could charge me a late fee for the time of day that the payment was made even though the payment was made on the due date.

I am filing this complaint regarding wrongful account closure, inaccurate and inconsistent credit reporting, lack of substantiating evidence, and resulting consumer harm by First Progress Card ( Lead Bank ). I am currently in the process of purchasing a home, and First Progresss actions have made this process significantly more difficult due to credit score damage and unreliable credit reporting. First Progress closed my credit card account and reported the account as closed at consumer request. This statement is false. I did not request that my account be closed. To date, First Progress has failed to provide any evidencesuch as a recorded phone call, written request, or signed authorizationshowing that I requested or approved the account closure. This wrongful closure caused a significant and immediate drop in my credit score, directly impacting my ability to qualify for mortgage lending. This closure is the originating event that led to all subsequent issues.

I filed a complaint on XX/XX/25 concerning Synovous bank XXXX. I my complaint I stated that although they had sold my account to a collection agency they continued to post their information on my report. The answer I received from Synovous was that it was completely within their right to continue to post an account as a " charge off '' that they considered to be in collectable. Posted that information about a charge off account without mention or proof of filing a 1099 tax form on my behalf that would essentially report my debt as income to the IRS is an absolute violation of CFPB rules put in place to protect the consumer.

I am filing a complaint regarding inaccurate credit reporting involving three companies : XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXXSynovus Bank . My credit report shows a collection account reported by XXXX XXXX that is being reported with an incorrect and re-aged Date Opened of XX/XX/XXXX. The original creditor account from XXXX XXXX/Synovus shows the last payment occurred in XXXX. This means the collection agency is reporting a false date and re-aging the debt, which violates FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 5 ). XXXX is also reporting a past-due amount, which a collection account is not permitted to report. XXXX XXXX XXXX/Synovus account was charged off years ago, but it is still showing a balance and a past-due amount even though the debt was sold. When a debt is sold, the original creditor must report a XXXX balance. Instead, both the original creditor and XXXX XXXX are reporting the same balance, which results in duplicate reporting and an inaccurate representation of the debt.

I had a secured First Progress credit card with a {$200.00} deposit. I was never permitted to spend above this deposit. I later paid {$170.00} to close the account. I never received my deposit back, yet the account is reporting a {$190.00} written off remark. This is inaccurate because a secured card can not be written off if the creditor did not incur a loss.
