Vehicle loan or lease· Problems at the end of the loan or leaseMI

I am in the final month of my auto lease for a Mazda XXXX and intend to exercise my contractual option to purchase the vehicle by paying the residual value. Because my work ( traveling physician ) requires me to be temporarily out of state this month, I need a one-month lease extension in order to complete the in-person paperwork required for the purchase. My dealership advised me that Mazda Financial Services can grant short lease extensions upon request. For over XXXX month, I have attempted to contact Mazda Financial Services at XXXX multiple times per day at varying hours. Each time, I am routed through automated prompts for several minutes and then disconnected without being able to speak to a representative. The system does not provide a callback option, alternate contact method, or clear business hours. There is no email address that I can write to. I contacted Mazda Customer Experience ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) to request assistance or escalation.

I financed a car with Lexus financial since the year of XXXX. Back in XX/XX/XXXX I refinance that same vehicle with my local credit union. Lexus received that check to pay the car off and misappropriated the funds in the beginning and attempted to claim that check was never sent. After further investigation, it came to their clarification that they did cast a check and the account would be updated to show paid in full. The account was updated on XX/XX/XXXX. I was supposed to receive a check back from Lexus on the overpayment on the loan after that check was cash because I had just made a car payment. I have contacted Lexus and their customer service department over six times since XXXX on the status of this check to be cut. Nobody has ever given me a clear answer, and the case has been escalated, and there has still not been an answer to when I would receive my refund.

I am filing this complaint against Toyota Financial Services due to ongoing administrative negligence related to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX of my financed vehicle. I am the primary borrower on the auto loan for a XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX : XXXX ). A co-signer was included at purchase ; however, the vehicle was registered solely under the co-signers name. The co-signer is no longer present in the United States and can not participate in any title or registration processes. For over one month, I have contacted Toyota Financial Services multiple times requesting a corrective ownership authorization so that the Florida DMV may update the vehicle registration to reflect me as the rightful primary borrower. Despite repeated explanations, Toyota Financial Services continues to issue relocation authorization letters, which are incorrect and irrelevant to my request. I am not requesting a relocation or transfer to another state.

Toyota Financial Services has received sufficient funds to fully cure my auto loan account. I have paid more than XXXX full monthly payments ( monthly payment {$590.00} ), including a {$770.00} payment on [ XX/XX/year> ]. Despite this, Toyota refuses to re-age the account and continues to show the loan as XXXX months past due and keeps the vehicle in repossession status. Toyota posted and later reversed a payment internally, misapplied subsequent payments to interest and miscellaneous, and failed to correct the account after cure. The loan is approximately XXXX year old. Continued delinquency and repossession status after cure constitutes payment misapplication and wrongful repossession risk. I am requesting immediate re-aging of the account, removal of repossession status, and correction of any inaccurate credit reporting.

Issue : Misleading loan payoff information and risk of wrongful delinquency reporting Complaint : I am filing a complaint regarding misleading and inconsistent information provided by my auto loan servicer, Toyota Financial Services. On multiple occasions ( Phone calls placed in XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ), I contacted the company to ask what would happen when my loan reached its maturity date. I was clearly and repeatedly told by representatives that I could continue making my regular monthly payments after the loan term ended, and that the remaining balance would simply continue to accrue interest. Based on this information, I relied on their guidance and did not prepare to pay the full remaining balance in a lump sum. I am now being told that if I do not pay the full payoff amount of approximately {$2900.00} by the end of XXXX, my account will be reported as past due.

I financed a vehicle through Toyota Financial Services and made payments on the account over several years, including approved payment deferments and extensions. The original maturity date of the loan was extended due to these approved extensions. However, I was never provided with clear or complete disclosures explaining how those extensions would impact the total balance or final payment amount. The only information provided indicated that the final payment may be higher due to additional interest, but no specific amount or calculation was ever disclosed. In or around XX/XX/year>, my vehicle was repossessed but was reinstated shortly after. At the time of reinstatement, I paid the required amount to bring the account current. The reinstatement documentation reflected my regular monthly payment as due. I did not receive a billing statement for XX/XX/year>.

I believe I learned that my car was repossessed on XX/XX/XXXX or XXXX. At the time of the repossession, I was not clearly informed of all available options, including the ability to work out a payment arrangement or reinstate the loan. I was led to believe that making payments would help resolve the situation and potentially restore my standing, but the actual consequences were not properly explained. There wasnt good communication and I thought Id be okay. Additionally, during the repossession process, my vehicle was damaged. This added further financial and personal stress to an already difficult situation, and I was not provided with any resolution or accountability regarding that damage. Since this incident, I have made a strong effort to remain in good financial standing and have been responsible with my obligations. However, my credit score continues to be significantly impacted by this event, and I do not feel the situation was handled in a fair or transparent manner.

I am formally disputing the response provided by Mazda Financial Services to my complaint ID XXXX, as it does not address the core issue of my complaint. My dispute is not about the existence of a lease-end balance. Rather, it is about the inaccurate reporting of this account as a collection/settled debt, when it should not have been referred to collections in the first place. I have documentation ( attached ) demonstrating that the balance in question was not yet due at the time XXXX referred the account to a collection agency. Because the account was not delinquent, it was not eligible for collection activity. As a result, the subsequent reporting of this account as a collection and settled for less than full balance is inaccurate. XXXX response does not address this issue. Instead, they only confirmed that a balance existed and that I later agreed to a settlement.

My leased vehicle was rear ended and totaled. Over the past approximately XXXX months, I have been attempting to resolve a balance discrepancy with Mazda Financial Services regarding an alleged remaining balance of approximately $ XXXX {$2600.00} after an insurance payment was made pursuant to a letter of guarantee. During this time, I spoke with more than 10 representatives across multiple calls, spending several hours attempting to confirm whether this balance was valid. I received inconsistent and conflicting information throughout this process. On at least one occasion, a representative explicitly told me that I did not owe the balance and instructed me not to make a payment. I was also told that I would receive written confirmation of this, which I never received. Despite this, I continued to receive communications stating that a balance was due. Vehicle loan or lease· Incorrect information on your reportCA

I recently discovered an auto lease account reporting on my credit under the creditor XXXX XXXX Credit ( Toyota MTR ) that I do not recognize and did not authorize. This account is being reported as an auto lease with missed payments, which is negatively impacting my credit score. I have never applied for, signed, or agreed to any lease or financing contract with this company for any vehicle. I did not provide consent, identification, or signature for this account. I also have no knowledge of the vehicle, lease terms, or any related transaction. Based on this, I believe this account is the result of identity theft or a serious reporting error. After noticing the issue, I disputed the account through the credit reporting system, but it was not properly resolved and continues to be reported inaccurately. This is causing ongoing harm to my credit profile due to false late payment reporting on an account that does not belong to me.

I am submitting this complaint regarding an account that was opened and/or used without my authorization during a dealership transaction when I purchased my vehicle. During that call, I was informed that the account would be closed. Toyota financial refused to work with me after me and a significant other separated. I did not know this and this was happening forever. I fell on a desperate times one thing led to another and eventually they took my vehicle. The auto loan/lease for a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX. On that same date XXXX Lease Trust issued a document confirming that it no longer claims a security interest in the vehicle and released the lien. A court-filed agreement governing the vehicle states that title to the vehicle is to be held in my name, while a third party would pay the balance of the purchase price. Payment by a third party was anticipated and does not transfer ownership. Despite the lien release and the court agreement identifying me as the owner, Toyota Financial Services mailed the Certificate of Title to a third party. When I later contacted Toyota, representatives stated that Toyota can only issue the title to the person who paid. This statement is incorrect because the lenders role after payoff is only to release the lien ; it does not determine ownership or redirect title based on who paid the balance.

XXXX XXXX XXXX is knowingly furnishing, collecting, and defending a debt that its own records prove is not capable of verification. This is no longer a billing dispute. It is a demonstrated failure of furnishing accuracy, accounting integrity, and UCC compliance. Toyotas response to this complaint confirms the violations. 1. Toyota submitted two official documents to the CFPB that state different principal balances for the same loan and time period : {$30000.00} ( Redemption Notice XX/XX/year> ) {$30000.00} ( Deficiency Calculation XX/XX/year> ) Toyota offers no reconciliation, no explanation, and no correction. A furnisher that can not state the correct principal balance can not legally verify, report, or collect the debt. Continued reporting under these conditions is per se inaccurate. 2. Toyotas own ledger shows multiple loan balance increases after payments, after repossession, and after charge-off.
