I had XXXX credit cards, a XXXX account, and my Vystar account hacked for over {$20000.00}. My credit cards and XXXX processed and refunded my fraudulent transactions. Vystar denied my claim is showing a ruling saying that they provided the information necessary to deny the claim. The information provided can easily be hacked. They seem to be focused on the IP address and didnt even know what XXXX spoofing was. The amount of Vystar was over {$6000.00} in XXXX days which history of my account would indicate I have never had such transactions and those amounts and had no previous relationship with the merchant. It makes me feel like theyre calling me a liar because they believe the merchant over me. I asked for the claim to be reopened and they denied. Im a man in my XXXX and seldom leave my home. XXXX transactions were prompt ticket places such as XXXX, XXXX, etc., for tickets that I never received in my email as they indicated.…

I immediately reported the theft, contacted my card provider to cancel my card, and later obtained a new card when I returned to the United States. I also disputed the transactions with my bank, VyStar Credit Union. VyStar initially credited the funds back to my account during the investigation, but about one month later they removed the credit and determined the transactions were authorized. VyStar has refused to reopen the investigation. I also contacted XXXX, which informed me that the transactions were cancelled and that the dispute was being handled through my bank. My XXXX account was suspended after the dispute was filed.…

I had switched bank accounts from Vystar Credit union due to many issues I was having with their online banking app. I switched to a XXXX bank account therefore my direct deposit went to that account. I tried to switch every payment I had coming out of the Vystar Bank to the new account, but I was unable to transfer every bill coming out. Vystar charged me a return fee XXXX TIMES! Which put my account negative {$370.00}. I tried to contact them to close my account, but was told I could not close a negative account. However my account was only negative because they charged me a return fee XXXX times. I asked if they could please remove the return charges so I could close the account. They then said they could only remove XXXX of the charges so that puts me at negative {$310.00}, and I would have to contact the company that is trying to take a payment. I paid off a a vehicle loan from Vystar Credit Union in XX/XX/year>. I paid cash at a teller, whom told me congratulations and I paid off the remaining balance in cash. A month later my bank ( another institution ) was auto withdrawn in the amount of the vehicle loan even though it was already paid off. I have a confirmation letter stating it was taken as part of a payment plan for said loan XXXX. I called Vystar to report the loan was paid off and I would like a refund. They stated I needed to contact my bank and tell them it was a fraudulent charge and have a case pursued to get the funds back to me. In my opinion Vystar should not be able to auto withdraw after a bank has closed on the loan. I was also not instructed to close the auto payment agreement when I paid off the loan. I don't want to wait for a case to be resolved the bank that fraudulently took my money should give it back to me. They claim that they can not do that.…
As stated below, the statue states the lender shall afford the debtor an opportunity to make the titled personal property available to the lender at a place, date, and time reasonably convenient to the lender and the borrower. Prior to taking possession of titled personal property, the lender shall afford the borrower a reasonable opportunity to remove from the titled personal property any personal belongings without charge or additional cost to the borrower. Vystar CU repossessed my XXXX this past XXXX at or around XXXX on a bank holiday without notifying me of this before hand so I could remove my personal items such as child seats, Government ID and related materials for work and items needed to continue working. The Vystar CU had a third party to remove the vehicle and tow it to a lot in XXXX that morning. Today ( XXXX of XXXX ) I was able to pay all fees and bring my accounts to full in order to return my truck.…
In regards to case XXXX On XX/XX/year>, I was informed by VyStar personnel that the reason they are unable to locate the original fraud report is because the internal notes related to the fraud alert were deleted after a certain retention period. I was advised that these notes are only kept for a limited amount of time. I did not create or control VyStars record retention policies. The absence of internal notes due to deletion should not be used to refute my account or to deny responsibility for actions taken during the fraud event. VyStars reliance on deleted records raises concerns regarding documentation, disclosure, and dispute handling practices.
I am an XXXX XXXX XXXX man and have been a victim of elder financial exploitation fraud. I received a text from " XXXX XXXX '' saying they have security measures in place and saw that someone was trying to steal from me. they had me download apps in order for them to take control of my phone. Eventually, they got someone from my bank, Vystar, on the phone. The agent from " Vystar '' told me he either had to freeze all my money for 180 days or that he could set up an account at a different bank for me to keep my money safe from the scammers. They gave me an account number for XXXX XXXX and told me not to tell anyone because scammers could be listening over the phone. They also told me to tell the bank teller it is for a special reason. I went to Vystar and the teller asked what I was transferring the money for. I told her for a special occasion. That was it. She " verified '' the XXXX XXXX account was in my name and submitted the wire.…
I have been unable to access my VyStar Credit Union account for over XXXX days. The system repeatedly says my username and password are incorrect, even after an agent helped me reset my credentials and I was able to log in XXXX. After that, the system locked me out again for security reasons. VyStar representatives confirmed this is a system error on their side, but days have passed and I still have no access to my account or online banking. This situation has caused me stress and prevents me from managing my money and paying obligations. I am requesting immediate restoration of access or a temporary solution while they fix their system issue.
On XX/XX/year> I paid all outstanding balances and fees related to my vehicle loan with VyStar Credit Union. VyStar confirmed that the payment was received and advised that proof of payment would be reflected as a posted transaction in my account rather than a separate proof of purchase document. VyStar also confirmed that they authorized and approved the release of my vehicle through XXXX XXXX and verified that the vehicle was still located at the recovery lot with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX at that time. Despite full payment and release authorization, the vehicle was subsequently transported toward auction due to the failure to transmit release paperwork. I dispute any storage, transport, or auction-related fees incurred after the date and time of my payment, as these were the result of internal and agent processing failures and not any action or omission on my part.…
VyStar Credit Union app has been down since this weekend. I have been given a verbal that no one is experiencing this issue, another rep advised yes this is an issue. Advised by one person too many people trying to log in! Various statements. This reminds me of the XXXX massive issue! Asked was a recent upgrade or maintenance administered over this past weekend- VyStar denied.
To the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am submitting this complaint regarding VyStar Credit Unions improper closure of my accounts, freezing and return of my payroll deposit, refusal to provide access to earned wages, and failure to provide a meaningful explanation or review process. Financial Institution : VyStar Credit Union Date of Incident : XX/XX/year> Description of the Problem On or about XX/XX/year>, VyStar Credit Union closed my accounts without prior notice and revoked my membership, citing vague and unspecified identified risk factors. I was informed that VyStar would no longer provide any financial services to me and that all future applications would be denied. At the time of this action, VyStar had already received a direct-deposit payroll payment from my employer. VyStar froze my account, refused to release my earned wages to me, and instead returned the funds to my employer without my consent.…
On XX/XX/year>, my repossessed vehicle was at XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I attempted to retrieve my personal belongings. The tow company demanded a {$50.00} fee for access, which I disputed. I agreed to pay and signed the document under protest by writing without prejudice. Despite this, the tow company refused to allow me access and barred me from the premises in the presence of law enforcement. My interactions and the refusal are documented under police case number XXXX. Personal property was withheld unlawfully, and I am requesting CFPB intervention and VyStars immediate corrective action.
Incorrect payoff calculation and improper application of post-loss payment I am disputing the payoff amount used on my auto loan after my vehicle was declared a total loss. VyStar Credit Union has stated that the payoff was requested on or about XX/XX/year>, citing a XXXX payoff rule. However, my loan transaction history shows that as of earlymid XXXX, my principal balance was approximately {$16000.00}. Even when accounting for XXXX days of per-diem interest and applicable fees, the payoff amount should not mathematically exceed approximately {$16000.00}. Despite this, VyStar used a payoff figure of approximately {$16000.00}, which does not reconcile with my account ledger or standard interest accrual. VyStar has been unable to provide the actual payoff quote generated on XX/XX/year> or an itemized breakdown explaining how this amount was calculated.…
To the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am filing this formal complaint against VyStar Credit Union for what I believe to be unfair, retaliatory, and potentially discriminatory treatment following a legitimate debit card dispute. After opening a new account with VyStar Credit Union, I was issued a debit card and later reported the card as lost after discovering an unauthorized transaction. I followed VyStars stated procedures by promptly notifying the credit union and disputing the charge in good faith. Instead of protecting me as a member, VyStar abruptly revoked my debit card and restricted my account access. VyStar justified this action by claiming that my account was new and that they could not verify whether my debit card was actually lost. This justification is unreasonable, inconsistent with standard banking practices, and contrary to VyStars own member and debit card policies.…
On XX/XX/XXXX, VyStar Credit Union unlawfully exercised setoff against my personal deposit accounts, sweeping {$2200.00} without notice. Specifically, VyStar removed : {$1600.00} from Account ending XXXX, which contained directly deposited Social Security benefits ; and {$660.00} from Account ending XXXX, which consisted of prepaid client funds for charter services. The funds in Account XXXX are protected federal benefits under 42 U.S.C. 407 and 31 C.F.R. Part 212. At the time of the sweep, the amount seized was less than the protected two-month lookback amount of Social Security benefits. VyStar did not perform the required lookback analysis and applied setoff in violation of federal law. The setoff was executed without advance notice and left all my VyStar accounts at or near XXXX. As a result, I was unable to purchase food or fuel, hesitated to use heat during freezing temperatures, and faced imminent disconnection of electric, internet, and phone services.…
Name : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( last XXXX digits only ) : XXXX Company : VyStar Credit Union Product : Credit Card / Checking Account Issue : Unauthorized withdrawal / Right of Setoff / Financial hardship / Lack of disclosure Complaint description : My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX last XXXX digits : XXXX ). VyStar Credit Union withdrew {$250.00} from my checking account on XX/XX/year>, using the Right of Setoff related to my VyStar credit card. After I contacted VyStar and explained that I am experiencing a documented financial hardship, VyStar refunded the {$250.00} on XX/XX/year>. However, on XX/XX/year>, VyStar withdrew the same {$250.00} again from my checking account without my consent and without any prior notification, despite my hardship request and the prior refund. When I contacted VyStar again, the manager refused to provide information or documentation regarding the internal review, the prior conversation, or the decision process related to this withdrawal.…
On XXXX XXXX early XXXXXXXX XXXX I discovered that a VyStar checking account ( ending XXXX ) had been reported negatively to the credit bureaus due to a small overdraft balance of approximately {$44.00}. I was not previously aware of this overdraft. Once I became aware of the issue, I paid the balance in full immediately, and the account now reflects a {$0.00} balance. After payment, I disputed the credit reporting and requested validation and correction, as this was a non-credit checking account and not a loan, credit card, or line of credit. VyStar responded in writing, stating that the account is reported as a paid charge-off and that no changes would be made because the information is considered accurate under their interpretation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). My concern is not the balance accuracy but the classification. A checking account overdraft should not be reported as a charge-off, which is a credit-specific designation.…

I am filing a complaint regarding VyStar credit unions failure to handle a fraud attempt. On XX/XX/XXXX I ordered XXXX item from XXXX for {$53.00}. On XX/XX/2025 a total of XXXX unauthorized charges for {$53.00} each were made to my bank account from XXXX. I did not authorize these charges. The total amount is approximately {$1100.00}. My bank initially flagged XXXX of the charges as potential fraud and reversed them except for the initial charge. However, 11 days later, on XX/XX/2025, the bank re-posted the exact same XXXX charges by XXXX, causing the money to be withdrawn from my account again without any notification or authorization. A total of XXXX identical charges from XXXX. I contacted the bank, and they told me they could not return the money because they had already flagged it as fraud and that fraud case was closed. On XX/XX/year>, I applied online for a new checking account. I am writing to request assistance regarding a recent XXXX XXXX transaction that was sent in error. On XX/XX/year> I intended to send money to a specific individual, but because another users name began with the same letter and appeared similar in the app, I accidentally selected the wrong recipient. As a result, the funds were sent to the incorrect person, and I have been unable to retrieve them. I am asking for support in resolving this issue and recovering the money, as this was an honest mistake caused by the similarity of usernames and the apps interface.
On XX/XX/year>, VyStar Credit Union withdrew approximately {$1900.00} from my savings account without my authorization and without any explanation. I contacted VyStar, and they told me it was due to an employee typing the wrong account number. They assured me that this would not happen again, and the funds were returned the next day. However, on XX/XX/XXXX, another unauthorized internal transfer occurred in the amount of {$90.00}. VyStar again reversed the transaction, but this was now the second time they withdrew funds without my consent. On XX/XX/XXXX, VyStar withdrew {$100.00} from my savings account without authorization. This transfer was also reversed, but this is now the third unauthorized withdrawal in less than two months. Although the funds were eventually returned each time, this repeated pattern indicates a significant lack of oversight and internal control regarding member accounts. It also contradicts VyStars earlier assurance that the issue had been resolved.…

Because the vehicle was sold under fraudulent conditions, I immediately notified VyStar and voluntarily surrendered the vehicle within the first week, before any payments were due.…

The creditor is reporting a charged-off balance but has not provided a transaction ledger, statements, or itemization of fees showing how the reported balance was reached. For charged-off accounts, the creditor may have taken a bad debt deduction under 26 U.S.C. 166, or if the debt was canceled or forgiven, may be required to issue a Form 1099-C under 26 U.S.C. 6050P.
