In XX/XX/XXXX, Waypoint Resource Group appeared on my credit report under the collection category. They are attempting to collect a debt of {$310.00}, purportedly owed to Comcast Communications. I want to clarify that this debt is not mine. I have never been a customer of Comcast, nor have I received any notification or proof that I am responsible for this debt. Additionally, I was a victim of identity theft in XXXX, which may be related to this account. I possess a law enforcement report confirming that I was the victim of identity theft, and that this incident was reported to all three credit bureaus. I request that this inaccurate account be investigated and removed from my credit report.

I disputed a XXXX XXXX account that was reported by a collection agency ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), and XXXX investigated and approved deletion of this account from my credit report. After this confirmed deletion, the same debt has been re-reported by different collection agencies, including XXXX. XXXX, XXXX ( XX/XX/year> ) and Waypoint Resource Group ( XX/XX/year> ), across different credit bureaus. This is the same underlying account being reassigned and reinserted after it was already removed. I was not provided any written notice of reinsertion within 5 days as required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 5 ) ( B ) ). I have disputed this multiple times, and the credit bureaus continue to respond with verified without providing any documentation, method of verification, or proof of ownership of the debt. This has caused ongoing damage to my credit report and lowered my credit score due to repeated and duplicate reporting of the same account.

This is a follow up to my previous complaint with XXXX, as they did not address the issue at hand and seemingly blatantly ignored the documentation provided in the complaint. This is getting to a point where we are going to have to resolve this in court if this is not resolved soon. XXXX is reporting a debt collection that I have repeatedly disputed and paid in full already, yet they continue to harass me over the debt and claim it is not paid. Documents provided clearly show the account at XXXX with receipts of payments and credits made on this debt. Please stop harassing me and falsely reporting this incorrect debt collection.

I am filing a complaint against Waypoint Resource Group LLC for reporting and attempting to collect a debt that I do not owe. This account is related to XXXX XXXX. I opened an account but was unable to use the service because my phone was locked and could not be activated. As a result, no services were ever used. Additionally, XXXX XXXX has already acknowledged that the balance being reported was not accurate and removed multiple charges. This raises serious concerns about the validity and accuracy of the remaining balance being reported. Despite this, Waypoint Resource Group LLC continues to report a collection account on my credit report. I disputed this with the credit bureau, and it was marked as verified as accurate, however no documentation or proof was provided to me.

I am submitting this complaint regarding the continued reporting of a paid collection account that I believe is being reported unfairly and inconsistently. I call back again to speak with someone else and they found it and stated that it went to XXXX XXXX XXXX but not XXXX. They recommended that I not pay directly to them. I then reached out to XXXX requesting information regarding how they obtain my information and explained that XXXX stated that it was sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am submitting this response regarding Waypoint Resource Groups explanation. While I acknowledge that the company stated the account was updated and withdrawn and that communication has ceased, this does not fully resolve my complaint. The core issue remains : this account does not belong to me. I do not recognize any obligation with Waypoint Resource Group, and I did not authorize any transaction or agreement associated with this account. Because of this, I filed an identity theft report with the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ). Waypoints response confirms that they have withdrawn the account and ceased collection activity. However, withdrawal alone is not sufficient.

Complaint Against : Waypoint Resources Group LLC Product : Debt Collection Issue : Unverified debt / Inaccurate reporting / Non-response I am submitting this complaint regarding a debt account being collected by Waypoint Resources Group LLC, currently reported as {$1300.00}. This complaint raises new and unresolved issues : 1. Failure to Provide Verification of Debt I requested full documentation to verify the debt, including the original account details, the amount claimed, and any supporting calculations. The debt collector has ceased all communication and has not provided any verification. 2. Unverifiable and Potentially Inaccurate Balance Because the debt collector has not provided documentation, there is no way to confirm that the {$1300.00} balance is accurate. Reporting a debt without verification is inaccurate and misleading. 3. Potentially Improper Account Reporting If this debt has been reported to credit bureaus, it may appear as active or open despite being unverified.
