Dakota Funding Group is attempting to collect a debt that is legally void under California law due to their lack of a state license. Furthermore, they are engaging in abusive collection practices by ignoring a formal legal notice to stop electronic communications. They have sent XXXX ( XXXX ) automated collection messages after being legally barred from doing so. This persistent contact constitutes harassment. They are also misrepresenting the legal status of the debt by claiming I have an obligation to pay a contract that is void under XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. I believe this company is a 'rent-a-tribe ' operation attempting to evade consumer protections.

I obtained an online installment loan from WLCC Lending MFT, doing business as Merit Financial Trust, in XX/XX/2025. The loan amount was {$900.00} and the loan agreement discloses an APR of approximately XXXX XXXX. The repayment schedule required biweekly payments of approximately {$280.00}. According to my bank records, the lender deposited {$900.00} into my account on XX/XX/2025. Since then, the lender has withdrawn approximately {$280.00} every XXXX weeks through XXXX withdrawals from my bank account. As of now, I have paid approximately {$2500.00} toward this loan, which is nearly XXXX times the original amount borrowed. Despite having paid this substantial amount, the lender continues to request additional payments and states that a balance remains. I attempted to obtain my payment history and account details from the lenders website, but the system would not allow me to access the records.…
On XX/XX/year> XXXX debited a payment from my bank account. The funds were successfully withdrawn from my account, which I can verify through my bank records. However, XXXX later informed me that their system does not show that they received the payment. Despite the fact that the money has already been taken from my account, they told me that I must wait for the bank to return the funds before the payment can be processed again. This situation appears to be the result of an internal processing error on the companys side, yet I am the one being impacted. Because the payment was removed from my account, those funds are no longer available to me. At the same time, the company is still treating the payment as unpaid and indicated that I may incur additional interest or penalties while waiting for the issue to be resolved.…
I am filing a complaint regarding a debt collection attempt by Valley Servicing related to an alleged account from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was never contacted directly by Valley Servicing about this alleged debt before they contacted my employer. Instead, my employer received a wage assignment demand notice asking payroll to begin deductions from my wages for a debt balance of {$1100.00}. The letter included my name, partial Social Security number, and the debt balance. My employer informed me about the communication and told the collector to stop contacting the business. Prior to this, I never received a written validation notice or any communication from Valley Servicing explaining the alleged debt, the original creditor, or my rights to dispute the debt. My employer was contacted first, and the letter disclosed details of the alleged debt.…
Enable Loans claims I owe them money. I sent them a fraud report, a police report, nothing helps. Then they sent a XXXX XXXX after me. XXXX XXXX should be BANNED from any collection actions.
I am a New Jersey resident and I obtained a {$500.00} loan from Fox Hills Cash. After I signed the loan paperwork, I was told verbally that the APR was approximately 700 %. This APR was not disclosed to me clearly before I signed, and I was only informed of it after the agreement was executed. I believe this is a deceptive and unfair disclosure practice. Fox Hills Cash is not registered/authorized as a lender in the State of New Jersey XXXX Regardless of whether it is presented as a tribal loan or payday loan, I believe the interest rate and lending activity are unlawful and unenforceable under New Jersey law, including criminal usury limits and licensing requirements. I have revoked all ACH/electronic debit authorization for Fox Hills Cash and any third-party payment processors associated with this loan, effective immediately.…
I am submitting this complaint regarding FirstDayLoans collection practices and their refusal to honor my revocation of phone communication. On XX/XX/year>, I spoke with a FirstDayLoan representative to explain a temporary financial hardship due to unexpected job termination. During this conversation, I clearly stated : I was recently fired and am actively seeking new employment I intend to make payment once income is restored I revoke consent for phone communication I request all future communication be conducted in writing only The representative informed me that FirstDayLoan does not need to follow FDCPA guidelines and explicitly stated they would continue calling me every day. Despite my clear revocation of consent, I continue receiving repeated collection calls. This conduct is distressing and appears inconsistent with federal consumer protection standards. Consumers retain the right to revoke consent to be contacted by telephone.…

After I got the loan, I found out that it was almost XXXX % and it had to come out of a bank account or a credit card twice a month on their days and so I could never get caught up because Im paying a ridiculous amount every day I wanted to go somewhere like XXXX or XXXX or XXXX XXXX and just send them all the money, but they wont let me and my bank is charging me a horrible fee every time I make a payment to them. And now because Im overdrawn at my bank theyre threatening me and Im not sure what to do. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I was never told this was an out of the country organization or I never would have used it.
On todays XX/XX/year> at approximately XXXX XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX to discuss settling a delinquent debt that they are attempting to collect. During that call, I specifically requested that the representative place me on a do not call list and stop contacting me by phone. The representative refused and stated that they would continue calling me to attempt to collect the debt. I made a clear request to stop phone communication, and that request was denied. Under federal law, consumers have the right to request that a debt collector cease communication, and once that request is made, the collector must stop contacting the consumer except for very limited purposes. The representatives refusal to honor my request and statement that they would continue calling is a violation of my consumer rights. I am requesting that the CFPB investigate this companys collection practices and require them to stop contacting me by phone and to comply with federal debt collection laws.
I explained that I was experiencing extreme financial hardship but wanted to inquire about a settlement offer to close the account. I was offered a settlement offer of {$2.00}, XXXX split into four installments 0f {$600.00} on a loan originally for {$800.00}. I believe I am a victim of predatory lending and need assistance to resolve this matter with Explore Credit,
I am filing this complaint regarding Fast Fund Lending ( FFL ) On XX/XX/XXXX, a payment was debited from my account in error. This disrupted my finances and caused problems with my upcoming payments. I contacted FFL, and the payment was refunded in full ( {$88.00} ). Because of this error, my original payment on XX/XX/XXXX, was moved to XX/XX/XXXX, and then to XX/XX/XXXX. On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX, I requested to move the payment to XX/XX/XXXX, and the agent said it was approved. On Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, an agent reached out to inform me that the payment I had moved from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX was denied. I am extremely frustrated that they waited until the last minute to notify me, even though I had relied on the earlier approval. During this process, the agent revoked my ACH authorization and placed my account on Do Not Contact. As a result of these events, errors, and last-minute denial, I can not continue making these payments.…

Ive even called a few different mediation groups in XXXX trying to see if theyve ever heard of this XXXX, and nobody has. I applied online with Explore Credit on XX/XX/year>. I received a follow up text that I was approved and to click the link in the text to sign the loan agreement. Upon clicking the link, it has you enter your email address and social security number. Instead of pulling up the agreement to review and sign where indicated, Explore Credit uses your log in as signing the agreement. This should not be allowed because I was unable to review the terms of the agreement such as the payment amounts, the payment due dates, or allowable methods to repay the loan as I do not typically allow for automatic payments. Upon my surpise, I also received an email that same day that the loan wasn't approved. Then, a little while later I received a text and email stating my loan had been funded. Unfortunately, there was no way for me to cancel the loan because the funds were deposited to an account that became overdrawn.…
The loan amount is for only {$400.00} and Ive paid on time every week for the 6-7 weeks, so far Ive paid {$570.00} and this week another payment is about to go out for {$96.00}. I try to ask for a settlement amount because I want to be done paying it and I feel like this loan company is taking advantage for a {$400.00} loan the total amount after 4 more payments would be a total of {$960.00} which is {$560.00} that they would make. Theyve made enough and Ive paid on time. This company isnt reasonable with their loan payoffs and Im in financial hardship. Now that Im trying to log back into the portal its saying my account isnt found.
I attempted to turn off my autopay feature and reached out to customer support for assistance. Unfortunately, the representative XXXX XXXX ) not only failed to resolve my issue, but also abruptly closed the chat instead of ending it professionally, despite my requests for help. During our interaction, she repeatedly changed her explanation of the processeven contradicting herself multiple timesand ultimately lied about successfully disabling autopay. As of now, autopay remains active against my wishes. This experience has left me deeply concerned about the ethical practices of Explore Credit. Their inconsistent communication and lack of transparency around account management are unacceptable. I urge others to be cautious with this company, and I do not recommend their services. I will be pursuing further action regarding this matter and would like this complaint to be reviewed and filed.
I am a California resident who received two high-interest loans from Arrowhead Advance , which identifies as a tribal lender. First loan : {$1200.00} at approximately XXXX XXXX XXXX Second loan : {$620.00} at approximately XXXX XXXX XXXX Total paid : {$9700.00} Total borrowed : {$1800.00} I have therefore paid approximately {$7800.00} more than the principal I borrowed. I was not aware that such high APRs were unlawful in California, and I recently learned that Arrowhead Advance does not have a valid California license to lend to state residents. I believe these loans may violate the California Financing Law and request that the CFPB review XXXX XXXX practices, help stop any further collection activity, and assist me in obtaining a refund of the overpaid amount. i will be attaching payment records and loan agreements
I am submitting this complaint regarding enable loans ending in XXXX I am experiencing significant financial hardship and can not afford higher payments. Enable Loans set my weekly payment at {$75.00}, which reflects my current ability to pay. I have been a long-time customer and have always paid responsibly. During a recent call with an agent, I requested to speak with a supervisor about adjustments. The agent said a supervisor would likely give the same response and told me, You accepted the terms knowing it would be {$190.00} and you accepted it anyway. The agent further explained that they had reached out to the account team, and this is the only extension they can offer, with no more extensions available in the future. The agent acted as though I was a problem, despite my history as a responsible customer. He said, all we give you, youve been given adjustments that we never do for other customers. I feel this was unfair and handled without empathy.…
