I did not sign up for a subscription and if I did Im pretty sure I cancelled it. They took XXXX out of my account unauthorized. I tried to cancel but their app requested the last XXXX digits of Alberts debit card that I never even gotten nor requested to begin with. And then the app claims they dont refunds. I demand my money back and for my unauthorized subscription to end.
I attempted to close my account wigh Albert app complete nightmare I requested by email to close text the 5 digit number requested closure of account. I instantly removed all my accounts I linked and removed access deleted the app. Two months after I have charges from the app for XXXX for ( genius ) I have no idea what that is, I instantly tried calling cant find number so I text the 5 digit number online I realized they still have access thru ach to my business account and they were still trying to charge 2 other accounts I for same exact thing. I was told over 2 weeks ago my account was permanently closed and my refund was going to be mailed to me as of today I have no refund I text asking why XXXX requested again for list of all charges attempted on all my accounts they act like I didn't request for that an keep telling me they escalated my claim.…
Albert automatically enrolled me in a paid $ XXXX 'Genius ' subscription without my explicit consent. I did not even have the app downloaded at the time they claim it was authorized. When I contacted their support via text to cancel and request a refund, they refused. They are engaging in deceptive auto-enrollment practices
On XX/XX/year>, I formally submitted a written request to the company to revoke all XXXX authorization for my bank account. I requested written confirmation that this revocation had been processed. In response, the company has refused to provide this confirmation. Instead, they are conditioning my legal right to revoke XXXX authorization on the completion of in-app account closure or service cancellation procedures. I have explicitly informed the company that my request for XXXX revocation is a distinct legal right under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act and Regulation XXXX ( XXXX CFR XXXX ), and that this right is not conditioned upon the closure of my account. Despite my clear notification, the company continues to deflect and refuses to provide the requested confirmation of revocation. I am seeking the CFPB XXXX assistance to ensure the company adheres to federal law and XXXX Operating Rules by immediately processing my revocation request.
Albert Corporation has been charging for a service I did not sign up for. They have also changed the price for the service and charged me for it without notifying me of the price change. They have made it nearly impossible to cancel through the app. They claimed I had a balance that I owed them from a " savings '' account that took money from my connected account and I took it back. Now they say that I have to pay them in order to deactivate the account.
I would like to put in a complaint about XXXX. I never received any emails or used the app and all of a sudden I get an email saying that my current subscription will have an increased charged of {$19.00}. I actually was able to text the company and they confirmed that they have been charging me since XXXX XXXX XXXX. I requested proof of authorization but he did not provide me with anything as of now. I spoke to my bank representative at XXXX and they see that I was charged {$10.00} per month from XXXX XXXX XXXX through XXXX XXXX XXXX. Then the charges were increased to {$11.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX through XXXX XXXX XXXX. Then increased to {$14.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. And today charged me {$19.00}.
Over the last XXXX months, including a currently pending transaction in XX/XX/XXXX, Albert has executed three unauthorized monthly ACH withdrawals of {$19.00} from my checking account, totaling {$59.00}. I closed my Albert account long ago and do not use their services. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Albert support via text message to demand a full refund and formally revoke all XXXX access. The Albert representative confirmed in writing via text that my account is " permanently closed '' and that my revocation is valid, but flatly refused to issue a refund for the XXXX unauthorized charges. Albert claimed a subscription from XX/XX/XXXX justified the current charges, despite the fact that no charges occurred for an entire year and the account is closed. Albert is illegally drafting funds from a closed account without authorization. These unauthorized withdrawals depleted my account balance and directly caused an essential utility bill to bounce.…
I signed up to Albert the online budgting company. From the very begining it was not able to link with my account so I never used the service. I now see a charge for it so I emailed them to please cancel my account and refund me. They said go to this link and cancel it. It says something about removing money from an account I dont have with them. I have no email that Albert suddely worked and is now taking XXXX each month out of my account or anything else. I sent them another email to cancel it and no response. I want my account canceled with them and my money returned as the account never linked up and now suddenly I am being charged for what I don't know
Albert is a banking app that provides same day payday loans. Its very predatory. Ive changed my bank password and username. Ive gotten a new card. And somehow they are still taking my money that I do not agree with. They took {$40.00} from me but it did not outset the debt or anything. The Albert app doesnt even say they ever took my {$40.00} but I have thXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
I asked Albert customer service to cancel my account on multiple occasions, customer service said that I would need the last 4 digits of the Albert card number to cancel my account which I told them I did not have access to or have. Following Albert continously charged my bank although their customer service told me not once, but twice that payments would be stopped for 30 days - but that never happended. I want my account closed. I want nothing to do with Alberts services. Albert has made my account negative multiple times - it is hard out here financially and I was just trying to get food for myself and long behold Albert charged my card leaving me negative although they said I wouldnt be charged for 30 days meanwhile in the first place I just wanted accounted closure in general.
At the end of XX/XX/year>, I repaid an Albert loan balance of approximately {$700.00} in full. My account then showed a {$0.00} balance, and I have bank statements, screenshots, and messages from Albert confirming the repayment was completed. After the balance had already been paid and reflected as {$0.00}, Albert placed the negative balance back onto my account without proper explanation. On XX/XX/year>, additional funds were deposited into my account, and Albert withdrew an additional {$210.00} even though the balance had already been paid off. My account now incorrectly shows a remaining balance of approximately {$450.00} when the loan should have already been fully satisfied. I am requesting correction of the balance and reimbursement of the improperly withdrawn funds.
On XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX, I revoked ACH authorization and any debit card transactions from my bank account for XXXX, tech finance company. They informed they could not close the subcription despite me revoking. I was going through bank statements and noticed they have continued to take out the subscription since then. I reached out and informed and asked to be refunded the money from since being provided written and confirmed revocation. They confirmed and tried to give me three month refund but I would like to be made whole. The total amount of the subscriptions that has been taken out since XX/XX/XXXX has totaled XXXX. I have reached out to the company and they refuse to do so despite acknowledging my revocation.
I have a charge of {$19.00} from XX/XX/2025 from my savings account that I did not authorize. I have contacted the company several times and they do not respond. I want them to credit my savings account the {$19.00} that they stole from me. The charge comes from Albert genius, which is a scam.
XXXX kept increasing monthly s7hscripti9n fees which they were taking from my check8ng account automatically. In XXXX l contacted them and told them XXXX wanted XXXX cancel my XXXX per m9nth subscription and that i was recinding my permission to debit my account anymore. I Noel have discovered they have continue to bill my account and take t he money from my bank without m6 permission.
XX/XX/year> XXXX XXXX XXXX Albert albert.com CA Date XXXX for XXXX They have refused to refund me. They find it acceptable to take out money when someone's external bank account is XXXX at the time they collect their payment. They said I gave them " authorization and approval '', however that is if I have money which i would have on XX/XX/year>. Going back and forth on the chat is no use and they keep talking in circles and point out the same things.
My loan has been repaid. They charge a monthly fee to have access to the app.. I have emailed several times to close my account and to please stop billing me. Despite the request, they continue to bill me for an account that I asked be closed. I had to stop using my checking account because they continue to bill despite my request to close the unused account. They will not respond to emails to stop and close my account.
My XXXX cash wasnt due until XX/XX/year>, and my subscription fee of {$9.00} wasnt due until XX/XX/year>. XX/XX/XXXX I see a charge from XXXX taking {$33.00} out of my account which was unauthorized and not approved by me to be taken out. I contacted XXXX. They first told me it was for a subscription fee then it took them an hour to tell me that it was a partial payment. I was never once told there would be a partial payment taken out. And I never approved any money to be taken out until XX/XX/XXXX. They claim they wont refund me since it was a partial payment. I changed my payment day and again was never told that a partial payment would be taken out. Theyre claiming this payment was from XX/XX/XXXX but didnt come out for a whole week. They have no customer service number you can only speak through text or email or an AI chat. They take forever to respond. Theyre not helpful.…
Albert deducted funds from checking account without permission or notice.
App is very difficult to navigate through and I had to email them. They said I have to empty my app out and I did. I told them I was finished. They still charge me for this month subscription. I can not remember the date but I emailed a MONTH ago. They have more than time to resolute this issue.
I have been charged recurring monthly fees by Albert beginning in XX/XX/XXXX, totaling {$240.00} through XX/XX/XXXX. The charges ranged from {$8.00} to {$19.00} per month and were debited from my bank account via ACH. At the time of the initial transaction, I was under the impression that the funds were being deposited into a savings account to accrue interest, as the first debit appeared to be a small deposit into an Albert account. I did not knowingly understand that I was enrolling in an ongoing subscription with recurring monthly fees. When I became aware of the recurring charges, I attempted to stop them by removing my payment method and canceling my account. However, the platform does not allow me to remove my debit card or unlink my bank account, which prevented me from stopping the withdrawals.…
I have been a paying subscriber of Albert Genius via recurring ACH debits since XX/XX/XXXX. Over the course of XXXX charges I have paid Albert a total of {$540.00}. The subscription price has increased multiple times during this period, from approximately $ XXXX in XXXX to $ XXXX currently. The most recent charge posted on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$19.00} ( Albert reference number XXXX ). Today I attempted to cancel the Albert subscription through the Albert mobile app. Albert refused to immediately process the cancellation. Instead, the app and Albert customer support stated that cancellation requires a " XXXX day account verification '' delay before the cancellation can be processed. This delay is not disclosed at signup and serves no legitimate verification purpose given the account is being closed, not opened. The XXXX day delay appears designed to allow Albert to process at least one additional billing cycle before honoring the cancellation request.…
I am disputing a negative balance of {$240.00} on my Albert Cash account. According to the company, a credit was applied to my account on XX/XX/XXXX, and later reversed on XX/XX/XXXX. The reversal is listed as Reversal - XX/XX/XXXX Credit for - {$240.00}, which caused my account to become overdrawn. I requested clarification and documentation from the company, including : The source and nature of the XX/XX/XXXX credit The reason for the reversal on XX/XX/XXXX A complete transaction history related to these events Proof that I authorized any related transfers or activity The company has not provided clear or consistent information. Initially, I was told this activity occurred in XXXX, and later I was told it occurred in XXXX. This inconsistency raises concerns about the accuracy of their records. Instead of providing documentation, the company directed me to review transactions within the app, which does not adequately explain the issue.…
I had an inactive account with XXXX that I had not used. I received an email from the company stating that I had remaining funds in the account. Based on that communication, I accessed my account solely to withdraw those funds and connected my bank account for that purpose. During this process, I was charged a {$15.00} fee. At no point was this fee clearly and conspicuously disclosed to me prior to being charged, nor did I knowingly enroll in or agree to any subscription or paid service. I contacted XXXX to request clarification, documentation of any agreement to this fee, and a refund. The company did not provide adequate documentation showing that I affirmatively consented to the charge and refused to issue a refund. I believe this fee was charged without proper disclosure or informed consent and constitutes an unfair and deceptive billing practice. I am requesting a full refund of the {$15.00} charge.
I opened an account with the, input my bank info. And used the app shortly, then without my permission they started charging me XXXX a month. So I canceled my account and removed my bank info from their app. They made me delete my account which was fine. Then they kept charging me monthly for 3 months before I realized. So texted their support and said quit charging me please. So they said they will no longer charge me. Even tho I already went through this process once. They also denied giving me a refund. Now they will not respond. They just keep charging me and theres nothing I can do to stop them
I woke up this morning to being charged something from XX/XX/year>, they claim. They stated it was for a membership that never got renewed. I have had multiple amounts of money in my account especially my savings account around that time and I had large amounts of it. But they didnt bother trying to take the money out of my savings forcefully then. This morning I awake to them taking XXXX from my SAVINGS account forcefully and I NEVR authorized them to do that, not have they EVER done that before. I contacted them to get a refund to them stating theres nothing they can do. This is a very predatory practice as I wasnt even using the app leading up to this, not to mention I never authorized that payment and would greatly appreciate a very much deserved refund.…
I signed up for the Albert app in XXXX of XXXX. There was a discounted fee and I was told to cancel if I decided the app wasn't for me before the end of the discounted trial period. I canceled the account before the next monthly fee was due. From XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX of XXXX I have had recurring charges from Albert in the amount of {$19.00} anywhere from the XXXX of every month. They make canceling the account near impossible. They ask for information that was given to you including the last four digits on a Albert debit card that I never received.
Beginning in XXXX and XX/XX/year>, a large number of unauthorized transactions were made using my Albert debit card. These included dozens of XXXX XXXX withdrawals ( many between {$50.00} and {$300.00}, and some over {$700.00} ), multiple Whatnot purchases within seconds of each other, repeated XXXX XXXX loads, and other cardnotpresent transactions. The volume, frequency, and timing of these charges are not consistent with my normal behavior and clearly indicate account compromise. Albert denied my dispute with a No error found conclusion, but their investigation did not meet the requirements of Regulation E. Their report does not include any evidence showing that I personally authorized these transactions. They did not provide device ID, IP address, login method, geolocation, merchantside access logs, or any other information that would prove consumer authorization. Instead, they relied solely on the fact that the card number and ZIP code matched.…
I downloaded a money, XXXX XXXX Albert. There was fees that I was unaware of initially beginning in XX/XX/XXXX. It was {$16.00} a month initially. I realized that the fees were accumulating in XX/XX/XXXX at that time they went up from {$16.00} a month to {$19.00} a month. I emptied all of my money from savings canceled the membership and deactivated the account. At that time, I did not post test because I can understand how sometimes that can happen on behalf of the consumers ( my ) failure to pay attention to detail when signing up for something. However, last night, I noticed a withdrawal from my bank account of {$39.00} from Albert ( a different bank than i had attached to it originally. ) I went back onto the app to go look at the history and somehow the app saw that the membership was never deactivated, and the fees went up to {$21.00}, then {$24.00} then ended with {$39.00} it was different for each month in XXXX after XXXX. XXXX XXXX all of the fees changed to {$39.00}.…
Subscription was closed on XX/XX/year>, and was later charged XXXX $ on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX. I reached out to them to confirm account was closed, after receiving confirmation it was closed I asked for a refund and was denied. I was charged for a subscription I couldnt use on an account they confirmed was already closed.
