I recently discovered XXXX collection accounts reported by Americollect on my credit report in the amounts of {$680.00} and {$890.00}, both opened on or about XX/XX/XXXX. These accounts appear to be related to services from XXXX XXXX with dates of service on or about XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. I do not recall receiving proper notice, complete billing information, or sufficient validation of these alleged debts before they were placed into collections. I have not been provided with adequate documentation showing how the balances were calculated, whether insurance was properly processed, or proof that Americollect has the authority to collect these amounts. After becoming aware of these collection accounts, I attempted to review the information and determine the validity and accuracy of the debts. However, I still have not received sufficient documentation or verification. The reporting of these accounts has negatively affected my credit profile and ability to obtain financing.…

I dispute this medical collection account as inaccurate and request immediate removal from my credit report. The collection agency claims the debt is from a hospital with a date of service being XX/XX/year>, but the hospital could not properly verify or provide records confirming I owe this balance. I had active XXXX coverage at the time of service, and any billing or insurance processing failure is not my responsibility. Because the debt can not be properly validated and its reporting accuracy is in question, I request a full investigation and deletion under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
I am filing this complaint regarding the inaccurate and unverified reporting of a collection account by Americollect Inc related to XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$1300.00}. This account is currently being reported across XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, despite multiple disputes and clear inconsistencies in the reporting. KEY VIOLATIONS 1. Failure to Conduct Reasonable Investigation ( FCRA 15 U.S.C. 1681i ) The credit reporting agencies have failed to perform a lawful investigation. The account continues to report with : Conflicting dates ( opened, last activity ) Missing required fields ( payment history, account details ) Duplicate or inconsistent reporting entries This indicates a superficial or automated verification process, which does not meet statutory requirements. 2.…
I am disputing a medical collection account reported by Americollect Inc. for {$500.00}. On XX/XX/year>, I sent a debt validation request via certified mail, which was delivered and confirmed. I requested full validation of the debt, including an itemized statement, proof of the original obligation, and verification of all reported information. As of today, I have not received proper validation of this debt. Despite this, the account continues to be reported on my credit file. Additionally, the account contains inaccurate and incomplete information, including invalid or missing dates reported across credit bureaus. This raises serious concerns about the accuracy and completeness of the reporting. I disputed this account with the credit bureau, and it was marked as verified, despite the presence of inaccurate data and lack of proper validation from the debt collector.…
I am filing this complaint regarding two medical bills of {$1500.00} each ( total {$3100.00} ) for services received on XX/XX/year> at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. These services were allegedly covered by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and all communications were handled through their representative, XXXX XXXX. The insurance coverage is no longer valid and, and there is no evidence that I am legally responsible for these debts. I never contacted the hospital directly ; all communications regarding these claims were through XXXX XXXX. I personally communicated with AmeriCollect and XXXX XXXX, demanding resolution of this debt. Despite these efforts, the debt was still reported to my credit record, negatively affecting my credit history.
They have called me at least 3 times a day foe over a year, each time from a different phone number from multiple states
I disputed inaccurate duplicate reporting on my credit file regarding accounts listed by Americollect.Multiple accounts are being reported for the same alleged medical debt, each showing a balance of {$1000.00}. These entries appear to be duplicate listings of the same account, which makes the total amount reported inaccurate and misleading. I previously disputed this issue with the credit bureaus and requested that the company verify the debt and provide documentation showing that each listing represents a separate and valid account. I also requested a breakdown of the amount and proof that I am legally responsible for each reported balance. The company did not provide sufficient documentation or proof that the accounts are separate, yet the duplicate entries remain on my credit report. This duplicate reporting is unfairly harming my credit and financial standing.…

I have been receiving many calls from a debt collector AmeriCollect. I send them to voicemail and in every voicemail they state very directly that they are a debt collector which violates FDCPA. I received XXXX on XX/XX/year> as well as today XX/XX/year>. They have also called my work and stated that they were a debt collector and asked for me by name which exposed others to learn about my debt. I am VERY displeased.
To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint regarding a medical debt that a collection agency has failed to properly validate after receiving my written dispute. Debt Collector Name : AMERICOLLECT INC Amount Allegedly Owed : {$1100.00} Original Medical Provider : XXXX XXXX XXXX Date of First Contact : XX/XX/year> On XX/XX/year>, I sent a written debt validation request to the collection agency within 30 days of receiving their initial communication. My request was sent via certified mail. The agency received my dispute but has failed to provide proper validation of the alleged debt. To date, the collector has not provided sufficient documentation to verify : * That I am legally responsible for this medical debt. * A detailed, itemized billing statement from the original medical provider. * Proof that the amount claimed is accurate and includes no unauthorized fees or charges. * Documentation showing the collector has legal authority to collect this specific debt.…
My medical insurance was supposed to cover bill but this company keeps calling and texting back to back after telling them to stop contacting me
They sent me a bill for medical debt that is not my responsibility. I had XXXX XXXX insurance through the state of Wisconsin that should have covered the bill. It is illegal for a provider to send a bill to anyone with medical insurance through the state of XXXX. The provider had my medical insurance information and so did the collector. Last year they posted it on my credit report illegally and it was reported as charged off. As of XXXX it is reported as open and I am now being harassed for the money by their attorney. They extensively damaged my excellent credit score and continue to find new tactics to collect a debt that is legally not mine. They should be taking this up with the insurance company that underwrites my policy through the state of XXXX.
XXXX is falsely reporting on my credit. I have never had any accounts with them. Per my research XXXX is a debt collector. They are falsely reporting on my credit!! Account number is # XXXX falsely reporting to my credit file and is against my rights and fair credit act. Under U.S Code 1618d - Disclosure of investigation consumer report ; you are in violation.
I took my XXXX XXXX XXXX daughter to XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX. She was literally in a fetal position in the floor board of my truck. This bill is for what was out of pocket AFTER my insurance paid. The doctor did absolutely nothing and I just think this bill is ridiculous. The doctor literally came in the room and pushed on my daughters stomach a couple of times. No testing, no IV, no labs or imaging. They checked her XXXX and said it was acid reflux for pain in her stomach. I had to take her to our family doctor and get a referral for a specialist. I just feel this dollar amount is excessive for the doctor not doing anything.
I am unaware of this debt, I do not use this facility they are describing I owe debt to.
To Whom It May Concern, I am contacting you regarding the above-referenced account. I do not believe this balance is valid, as my insurance plan should have covered these charges in full or in part. Before I take any further steps, I am requesting the following : A full insurance re-billing and claim reprocessing Detailed itemization of the charges, dates of service, and the provider involved A written explanation of why insurance was not billed properly or why coverage was denied Until this insurance review is completed, I am requesting that you stop all mailed collection notices and any further collection activity, as permitted under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. This account must remain on hold while insurance is being re-evaluated. This is not an admission of liability. I am disputing the validity of this debt and requesting proper verification and insurance correction.…
I submitted a previous complaint on XX/XX/XXXX. In the response to this complaint, Americollect provided debt verification for debt that my doctor submitted to and should have been paid by insurance. They have continued to call me regularly regarding this debt even though I have told them repeatedly that the debt is not valid. Since my complaint, they have again called on the following dates : XXXX - twice XX/XX/XXXX - twice XX/XX/XXXX - twice XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - twice XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - twice XX/XX/XXXX - twice XX/XX/XXXX - twice XX/XX/XXXX - twice I continue to block the numbers they are calling from, so they keep calling from new numbers, many of which are listed as residential and do not even come up as Americollect on caller ID.
I have disputed this collection XXXX XXXX 3 times XXXX, XXXX & XXXX & they keep updating info as if I still owe them. I dont even know what this agency is and never had communication with them outside of this dispute. I never signed or agreed to anything with this collections agency. They have yet to remove it, also using FCRA code & statute.. So now I bring it here.
On XX/XX/year>, I contacted the debt collection company ( Americollect ) to dispute an incorrect balance they claimed I owed. The company reported that I owed {$1600.00} for medical services. However, according to my insurance Explanation of Benefits ( EOB ), my actual financial responsibility for the XX/XX/XXXX service was only {$300.00}. I never agreed to pay the full {$1600.00}. I requested validation of the debt and informed the company that the amount they are trying to collect is inaccurate and misrepresents the true amount owed. Despite this, they have continued to pursue the incorrect balance. I believe this violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) because they are attempting to collect an amount that is not valid and not supported by my insurance records. I am requesting CFPB assistance to have the incorrect balance corrected and to ensure the collector provides proper validation and updates their records to reflect the accurate amount.…
I called Americollect today. They verified my information and I told I had no idea what the debt was for and she asked for my credit card because she said the system they used needed me to pay them. I told her I wasn't paying them for information they already had, she kept trying to talk over and the last thing I heard was her saying that's our system and you have to pay, I said no and hung up. I didn't even get a letter from them just several voicemail a day.

The medical providers and collection agencies have reported my medical bills to credit reporting companies and XXXXparty debt collectors in a way that I believe violates my privacy rights. I did not authorize them to share detailed information about my medical treatment or bills beyond what is minimally necessary, yet they have disclosed enough information for multiple collectors and credit bureaus to report these debts as medical collections. I am concerned this goes beyond what is allowed under health privacy laws and the limits on what can be shared for credit reporting and collection purposes. Because they have shared and used my medical information improperly and then reported these medical collections inaccurately, I am not asking for a correction or update. I am asking for these medical collection tradelines to be completely removed from my credit reports.…

A collection was placed on all XXXX credit reports as a collection in the amount of {$1400.00}. However, this amount was paid in full along with the hospital bill by XXXX in 2024. I know this because I have documentation from XXXX which is the Summary of Benefits for the bill and amount reimbursed to XXXX for said date of service and admission. I should never have been given this bill. Someone made an error but I was penalized with having it on all 3 of my credit reports. After presenting the necessary documentation to XXXX Billing and Americollect I was told it was canceled on all 3 credit reports. I have reached out on numerous occasions to dispute this information with all 3 credit reporting companies.…

i discovered a past due balance regarding medical debt on my credit report. it was my first notice of such. The debt was sent to Americollect by XXXX Georgia XXXX XXXX, in violation of Federal rules.
I am filing this complaint because Americollect is attempting to validate and report duplicate medical debt for the same emergency room visit, which is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). Americollect provided two itemized statements for what they claim are separate debts. However, both statements are for the exact same XXXX XXXX, with only the Visit Number changed. The details from both statements prove they are duplicates : Same Date of Service : XX/XX/year> Same XXXX Codes : XXXX ( XXXX, {$57.00} ) and XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, {$1600.00} ) Same Provider : XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX Same Doctor : XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX Same Patient Information Same exact charges, payments, and adjustments The only difference is the Visit # : Statement 1 Visit # : XXXX Statement 2 Visit # : XXXX This is clear evidence of duplicate billing, where the provider created two accounts for the same medical event.…
