In XX/XX/year>, I suffered a fraudulent convenience check charge of {$2700.00}, which Barclays acknowledged and removed. However, they failed to remove the associated {$130.00} balance transfer fee despite promising to do so on XXXX separate calls. Because of their internal delay, late fees and interest accrued on this fraudulent fee, totaling {$92.00}. On XX/XX/year> customer support assured me this would be wiped in XXXX hours. I requested this be confirmed in writing, which they declined to provid. It was not wiped, and the account is now closed but collectors/automated systems are still harassing me for {$92.00} stemming entirely from a fraudulent transaction.

I am requesting an escalation and reinvestigation of the {$110.00} charge from XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX. This charge was not authorized by me, and the merchants rebuttal is factually incorrect. XXXX XXXX charged my card for a membership belonging to my daughter, XXXX XXXX. However, when she visited the XXXX XXXX location in XXXX XXXX, she was informed that her membership is not active. This proves that the charge was not valid and that XXXX XXXX did not provide the service they claim. I am submitting this escalation because : I did not authorize a renewal for my daughters membership. XXXX XXXX charged my card without permission. The membership they charged me for is not active, meaning no service was provided. The merchants rebuttal does not match the facts. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, unauthorized charges must be removed when the cardholder did not approve the transaction and the merchant can not prove authorization.…

I previously filed a CFPB complaint regarding this account after Barclays reported my account as delinquent even though my online account reflected that my payment had been made. During its investigation, Barclays issued a written response stating that it would remove the late payment history for XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, waive {$210.00} in finance charges, and restore my credit limit. Barclays also stated that I should allow up to XXXX days for the credit reporting correction to appear. More than XXXX days have now passed. The XXXX late payment is still being reported on my credit report. Barclays has not provided confirmation that the correction was transmitted to the credit reporting agencies, and I have not been provided documentation showing the {$210.00} finance charge adjustment because I no longer have access to the closed account statements. This complaint is not about the original dispute. Barclays already agreed in writing to correct the reporting.…

Attached is a signed Cancellation Agreement dated XX/XX/year>, executed by XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and myself. This agreement confirms that : XXXX has terminated my membership in its entirety. All membership rights and benefits have been cancelled. XXXX acknowledges my request for cancellation. XXXX has waived any future right to collect membership fees.…
I am submitting this complaint regarding Barclays Bank 's handling of the fraud investigation on my newly opened Barclays XXXX XXXX XXXX account. While I understand and appreciate the importance of fraud prevention, I believe Barclays has failed to conduct its identity verification process in a reasonable, consistent, or timely manner despite my full cooperation. On XX/XX/XXXX, I applied for and was approved for a Barclays XXXX Plus XXXX account, which included a promotional offer of XXXX XXXX points after meeting the required minimum spending requirement within 90 days. On or around XX/XX/year>, Barclays restricted access to my online savings account and disabled my ability to log in and manage the account. After this date, I was unable to access my account, view my balance, or withdraw funds. When I contacted Barclays customer service, I was informed through the automated system that I did not have an active account, which prevented me from receiving assistance. On XX/XX/year>, I received an email from Barclays stating that my account had been closed. Later, Barclays confirmed that the account was closed and stated that any remaining balance would be returned through the original funding method used to deposit the funds. However, this method is no longer available because the original external account has been closed. Barclays has not provided an alternative effective method to return my funds, and my account balance remains inaccessible despite the account closure. Wire transfer was also not offered as a solution.…
I am filing a formal complaint against Barclays Bank Delaware regarding an egregious UDAAP ( Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices ) violation involving deceptive XXXX XXXX XXXX interfaces and a complete lack of upfront regulatory disclosures. Barclays Bank promoted a {$200.00} sign-up bonus directly onto my secure, logged-in online banking dashboard profile. This was a highly targeted digital banner enticing me to open their new " XXXX XXXX '' product, which is a completely separate and distinct product tier with different terms and interest rates than my previous traditional savings account. I clicked this personalized portal offer and opened the account in complete good faith. However, Barclays XXXX XXXX of the President ( via an XXXX named XXXX XXXX issued a final denial letter claiming I am disqualified because a generalized public policy states applicants must be a " new Barclays XXXX customer.…
Barcley Bank sent me a credit card statement last october. I called them and i have had no support in handling this matter. I did not open nor did anyone I know open a credit card with Barclays bank. Barclays bank has concluded that I did and that this is my debt.
I accidentally made a charge on my credit card and contacted the The vendor immediately and they waited two days to get back to me. I wanted to cancel it then when they finally did, I explained to them what happened and they said they would take care of the problem. The charge appeared on my credit card. I contacted my credit card company and they said they investigated it and turned me down and the charge came back on my card. Furthermore, I never received the product because the company evidently never sent it after I complained to them about being charged incorrectly. My credit card company is doing nothing to help me after waiting for 60 days. It is Barclays Bank.
I am formally disputing the validity of the alleged collection and charge-off account being reported under my name. This letter serves as a request for full debt validation pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) 15 U.S.C. 1692g ( b ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 15 U.S.C. 1681i. I do not acknowledge this debt as valid. Before any further reporting, collection activity, or communication regarding this account continues, I am requesting that you provide the following : Verification of the debt, including the original signed contract or agreement bearing my signature. The complete payment history and itemized breakdown showing how the alleged balance was calculated. Proof of your legal authority to collect or report this debt, including a copy of any assignment or purchase agreement from the original creditor. The name, address, and contact information of the original creditor for proper verification.
On XX/XX/year>, I attended a XXXX timeshare sales presentation in XXXX XXXX, Nevada, where I was encouraged to purchase a timeshare and open a Barclays credit card to finance the transaction. During the presentation, I was told I could offset or pay down the cost of the timeshare by generating income through renting last call vacations, selling or renting points, and using third-party platforms that would assist in managing rentals for a commission. The decision to proceed was based in part on these representations regarding income-generating opportunities. The day after purchase ( XX/XX/year> ), I contacted XXXX and the sales representative to begin using the last call and rental systems and was informed that key account access ( including XXXX systems ) required an approximate XXXX activation period after purchase.…
Applied for Jetblue Plus credit card with the promotional brochure given to me during a flight. The promotion reads " Scan Code or Visit getmyjetbuecard.com and use the XXXX digit promotional code below. Get a response in Seconds! '' Applied online following all instructions and received a phone call from a Delaware area code asking for my full social security number which I did not provide because it seemed odd to me- I had input all that information on the online application, so I hung up and call the number on the brochure and what they did was say we will call you to the number added on the application and again asked for the full social security number. With all the scams going on I believe Barclay should review or have a different way to verify if an application is legitimate or not and not give customers so much trouble to get a simple card to be used for flights to an individual with excellent credit who is only trying to protect just that, my credit.…
Re : Response to your correspondence dated XX/XX/year> Account # : [ XXXX ] XXXX XXXX : XXXX I am writing in response to your letter dated XX/XX/year>, which you sent regarding my request to correct inaccurate information reported about my account. Although I received your response, I must emphasize that your letter does not adequately address the serious violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and other applicable requirements that I raised in my earlier correspondence. I respectfully reiterate and expand the key issues below : 1. FCRA Accuracy Requirement ( 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ) ) Consumer reporting agencies and the furnishers of information must use reasonable procedures to ensure the maximum possible accuracy of the information reported. Your reporting is contradictory and therefore legally inaccurate. Specifically, my account has been reported as charged off or canceled, while at the same time it is also being treated as a collection.…
I initiated a Barclays ' credit card originally for the purpose of moving debt from a credit card onto an account that offers 0 %. On XX/XX/year>, I submitted a single balance transfer request for {$2500.00} through Barclays ' online banking system. I received no confirmation email or on-screen confirmation that the request had been received. Believing the request had failed due to a system error, I submitted the request a second time. My account statement confirms that both requests posted as separate transactions on XX/XX/year> : one balance transfer of {$2500.00} with a {$130.00} fee, and a duplicate balance transfer of {$2700.00} with a {$120.00} fee. Barclays later reversed the {$130.00} fee on the same date, which I believe shows their own system identified the duplicate, but the duplicate principal balance itself was never reversed, and the second {$120.00} fee was never corrected.…
Barclays Bank Delaware. XX/XX/year> This inquiry was made without my knowledge and if effecting my credit score.
My original complaint was XXXX SUBMITTED ON XX/XX/XXXX. Thank you for your email. However, I must respectfully disagree with your assessment of this case. There are multiple issues surrounding this transaction, and my primary reason for disputing the charge was the misleading presentation of the hotel price and the addition of service fees that were not clearly disclosed before the booking was processed. I work for the Department of Defense and have traveled to four locations throughout XXXX four to five times per year since XXXX. I am very familiar with the hotels I regularly stay in and their typical pricing. I would never have knowingly reserved a hotel room at a property where I have stayed multiple times over the past four years for {$810.00} for two nights when the normal cost is typically no more than {$350.00} USD equivalent.…

Barclays closed my account more than 10 years ago. I have money remaining in the account when it was closed. I have attempted to contact Barclays by email but have not received a response. I am requesting a full accounting of the account, including the closing balance, transaction history, and documentation showing where any remaining funds were sent. If the funds were transferred to unclaimed property, I request the details needed to recover them. The information I remember associated with the account is below : Name : XXXX XXXX Previous Address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, PA XXXX Phone Number : XXXX Previous Email : XXXX Current Email : XXXX Unfortunately, I do not remember the account number.
This debt collector has engaged in conduct that violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). They are reporting an account that I did not authorize, and no signed agreement exists bearing my signature to validate any obligation. A legally binding contract requires clear consent from all parties, which is absent in this case. Additionally, the collector has failed to provide proper validation of the alleged debt as required under the FDCPA. Without sufficient documentation verifying the debts legitimacy, their continued reporting and collection efforts are unlawful. These actions constitute violations of my consumer rights. As a result, I demand the immediate deletion of this account from all reporting agencies. Failure to comply may result in further legal action, including claims for damages.
This is an experience with Barclay 's Bank and using a credit card from them. As some background, I've had this card for something like XXXX years and been a customer in good standing the entire time. On my last billing cycle, I ended up getting a refund for a substantial purchase, ending with a balance of - {$6000.00} dollars ( i.e. they owe me that amount of money, which normally I would've continued to spend down with the card ). In XX/XX/year>, I moved to another state, and updated my billing address with Barclays. Barclays immediately froze my card. I called them about it, and they refused to unfreeze it without a portfolio of private information ( driver 's license, utility statement, SSN, etc. ) send to them. Around XXXX I sent, this information initially by fax. After that didn't seem to be enough, I mailed it to them as well. Even with proof of the new address, Barclays still wouldn't unfreeze the card. I was out of the country for a few months.…
On XX/XX/year>, Barclays restricted access to my savings account and disabled my online banking login. Since that date, I have been unable to access my account, view my balance, or withdraw my funds. When I call Barclays, the automated phone system states that I do not have an account, preventing me from reaching account-specific customer service or obtaining information about my account status. Because I can not log in, I am unable to verify the exact balance. However, I believe the account contains approximately {$420.00}. More than one month has passed, and Barclays has neither restored my access nor provided a clear explanation for the restriction. As a result, I have been denied access to my own funds for an unreasonable period of time. I am requesting that Barclays either immediately restore my online banking access so I can withdraw my funds, or promptly return the funds remaining in the account through an alternative method.…
I am filing a formal complaint against Barclays for corporate negligence, systemic customer barriers, and severe consumer distress regarding an active fraud investigation under Case Number XXXX. On XX/XX/year>, my identity was compromised across separate banking institutions. XXXX XXXX acted responsibly, immediately identifying and blocking multiple unauthorized charges on my business account. Barclays, however, summarily denied my initial fraud claim. They completely failed to contact me during their original investigation to ask for details, clear up timelines, or obtain my statement before closing the file. Because of this negligence, I was forced to initiate contact with Barclays five separate timesincluding phone calls on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, an online chat, a secure portal message sent last night at XXXX XXXX, and a final 30-minute phone barrier today just to force them to reopen the file.…
On XX/XX/year> a Barclay 's account was opened using my name and my identity but it was not me. A amount of {$510.00} was charged. I spoke to Barclay 's and they would not give me any information because they already sent it to collections.
On my flight I Was told in promotion there would be a {$0.00} intro annual fee, theyre now trying to force this {$99.00} annual fee to be paid within XXXX days. ive spoken to Barclays and XXXX and they both just keep saying this isnt our problem call frontier or you need to call Barclays its horribly wrong and theyre providing XXXX support.
To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint regarding a membership that I purchased after attending a sales presentation by Ascendant Holidays ( XXXX ) on XX/XX/year>. My family and I attended the presentation because we were offered free park tickets in exchange for attending. We were told that the presentation would last only XXXX minutes. However, after arriving, we were subjected to a lengthy and aggressive sales presentation that lasted approximately six hours. Throughout the presentation, I repeatedly declined the offers being presented. Despite my repeated refusals, several sales agents continued to pressure me to purchase a membership. During these discussions, I was repeatedly assured that if I joined the membership program, I would be able to cancel at any time if I changed my mind. After hours of pressure, one of the agents asked if he could check whether I qualified for the membership program. I agreed. When he returned, he informed me that I qualified.…
I opened a credit card account with Barclays Bank out of Delaware, for a cruise while booking the cruise ( Carnival ) .The account was opened and cruise was paid on the card. I received the card and attempted to log on their website to create online account and pay off the credit card. Online access was not successful, so I was advised to call the XXXX number. I spoke to several differet agents who ultimately told me to take down an address they were providing to me and to mail them several different personal documents to verify my identity. I told them I would like something mailed to me stating what was needed. I didnt feel comfortable just mailing personal identity information to a random address that was givem to me over the phone. They said that was the only way to reslove the problem by sending the information they requested. I also ask for a statement and they also refused that request. They said the system is setup to work paperless.…
I am filing a formal complaint against Barclays for failure to properly investigate a high-value XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/year>, I was the XXXX of a XXXX business-opportunity XXXX orchestrated by XXXX XXXX XXXX . The merchant used remote-desktop software to gain visibility into my personal computer and coerced the simultaneous opening and draining of my credit lines, charging an exact amount of {$4500.00} to this Barclays card . Barclays XXXX XXXX has refused to process old dispute requests due to standard timeline limits. However, this is a documented instance of XXXX XXXX, deceptive trade practices, and credit manipulation via remote device access. which renders any transaction contract legally void. The contractually promised marketing systems, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX campaigns were completely unrendered. I have fully documented this crime with federal government under FTC Report Number XXXX.…
Since the first of the year, I've been charged with two different interest rates and charges. I didn't authorize this. XXXX reps, won't help me bc they say I authorized it and I didn't. I'm a disabled senior citizen & can't afford any extra charges & why would I. I reached out months ago when I first noticed it & chatted with 2 reps today when I saw the extra charge again. They refused to help or tell me I had to dispute by mail ( I just found this out ). I've been a loyal customer for years & never have any issues at all until this year.
On or about XX/XX/year>, we tried to use our Barclays XXXX credit card, and it was denied. We contacted Barclays and were told our card had been converted to a XXXX card on XX/XX/year>. We were told the card was " in the mail. '' That seemed unlikely, so we contacted XXXX. We were told by the rep at XXXX that we should get our card by " next week. '' Again, that felt like a canned answer. We contacted Barclays again and literally spent hours trying to reach a supervisor. We eventually spoke to someone named XXXX, who agreed to stay on the line while we pulled in a XXXX rep. With the two on the line, it was determined that our account was not transferred to XXXX. We were told that Barclays was " escalating '' the issue and would have an answer in 24-48 hours. I called Barclays back on XX/XX/year>. After being told again by the first two people on the line that my account had been " transferred to XXXX, '' I was able to reach someone named XXXX.…
