I am submitting this complaint regarding a loan I obtained from XXXX because I believe the loan 's interest rate and repayment terms are unfair and may violate applicable consumer lending laws. On XX/XX/XXXX, I borrowed {$500.00} from XXXX. The loan carries an APR of 460 %. Since receiving the loan, I have paid {$550.00}, which exceeds the amount I originally borrowed. However, despite paying back more than the original principal, XXXX now claims that I still owe {$650.00}. I believe this demonstrates that the loan 's interest charges are excessive and that the repayment structure makes it extremely difficult for consumers to reduce the principal balance. In my case, I have already repaid more than the amount I borrowed, yet my outstanding balance is now even higher than the original loan amount.…

I am filing a complaint against Spotloan regarding a high-interest installment loan issued to me as a Michigan resident XXXX I received a {$300.00} loan with a repayment structure totaling over {$1100.00}. This results in an extremely high effective interest rate, which I believe to be predatory and potentially in violation of consumer protection standards. The lender claims tribal affiliation and appears to be operating outside of Michigans lending laws. However, they are extending credit to Michigan residents at rates that would otherwise be illegal under state law. I am requesting : - Verification that this lender is legally authorized to operate in Michigan - A breakdown of how the repayment amount was calculated - Removal or reduction of excessive interest charges - A fair and lawful resolution of the remaining balance This loan structure is financially harmful and appears designed to trap borrowers in long-term repayment cycles far exceeding the original loan amount.…

I am filing a complaint regarding what appears to be a deceptive and potentially fraudulent attempt to collect a debt using intimidation and misrepresentation. On or about [ insert date you received the voicemail ], I received a voicemail from a caller identifying themselves as XXXX XXXX XXXX. The caller stated they were attempting to deliver legal documents and instructed me to call XXXX with a case number. The call appeared to originate from XXXX. The voicemail implied that legal action or service of process was imminent. However : The caller did not identify a legitimate company, creditor, or law firm. No written notice of a debt has been provided. The message appeared designed to intimidate me into returning the call under threat of legal action. The company name XXXX XXXX XXXX does not appear to correspond to any legitimate or verifiable business.…
I settled this loan with XXXX years ago but now this company called XXXX is calling my husband. I explained to them that my husband isn't responsible for this debt and to cease calling him, they continue to call him. I am also in XXXX XXXX XXXX bankruptcy.
I live in ga and this companys apr rate is 490 % which is highly illegal in my state and they keep forcing me to pay Im not trying to get in trouble bc of their rates being illegal
I took out a loan for an emergency medical treatment and upon making my second payment the interest rate is 460 %! My original amount was {$700.00} and Ive already made 2 payments of {$120.00} but my loan is now over {$800.00} due to the high interest rate and is predatory! Their website is making it very difficult to access for assistance offering little to no support. I need to lower the interest or end my loan because this is ridiculous!
I did not take out this loan and I do not know how they got my banking information. I called the company and I do not have a loan with them.
The current APR is 490 %. In the state of Indiana, this is considered a predatory loan and to my understanding, is illegal and non-enforceable. The online portal has scant information, but I believe the original loan was for {$1500.00} plus a {$200.00} for " fees ''. I believe the loan was taken out XXXX months ago. I have delayed a payment already. I have tried to contact them via phone, but they do not pick up.
This complaint is a continuation of CFPB Complaint # XXXX. Since filing the original complaint, I have continued to receive calls from different phone numbers using the same location information script. A voicemail on XX/XX/year> was received from ( XXXX ) XXXX directing me to call back XXXX, which matches the callback number identified in my original complaint. This demonstrates continued harassment and number rotation after notice and request to cease contact.
I took out a loan with XXXX without fully understanding the terms. I later realized that all my payments are being applied only to interest and none to the principal. This loan is abusive and predatory. Despite making payments, the principal balance is not reduced at all. I have revoked ACH authorization with my bank to stop further withdrawals. I am requesting : 1 ) A full review of my loan 2 ) Reduction or removal of excessive interest 3 ) A fair payoff amount that applies to principal 4 ) Written confirmation of loan resolution I believe this loan structure is unfair and designed to trap consumers in ongoing debt.
I accepted a {$300.00} loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX as a direct deposit in mid XXXX. Now I keep getting scam calls and recently someone tried to make an authorized purchase with my bank card. I already call up my bank because a scammer pretend to be my bank then yesterday tried to use my card. At first I didn't worry about it because it went through my voice mail but the notification I got about my bank account made me think that my other personal information was leaked.
XXXX XXXX every XXXX weeks i get a text message From a Spotloan number saying i have a missed due payment which i never pulled a loan out for and my bank account will be XXXX for a day from a XXXX accunt that is trying to take money and it resumes back to my regular amount because They are trying to pull money from my account that I dont put money on anymore because i didnt pull any loan out in my name. Ive Continuously made multiple attempts through credit karma to remove my name off of the loan and it doesnt it continues to say I owe which is false.
I am filing this complaint against XXXX ( XXXX / BlueChip Financial / related entities ) because I believe the loan and the way it has been serviced may involve murky or misleading legality, and I feel I was not given clear, fair, or transparent lending terms. 1 ) The APR and repayment structure feel intentionally predatory and deceptive The loans APR is extremely high, and the payment structure appears designed to keep borrowers paying for long periods while making it difficult to meaningfully reduce the balance. Even when making payments as scheduled, it felt like most of the payment went toward fees/interest instead of principal, which made the loan feel like a debt trap rather than a fair installment loan. 2 ) Confusing legal structure / tribal affiliation appears used to avoid consumer protections Spotloan appears to operate using a structure that implies tribal association or tribal lending protections.…
490 % interest is nonsense. I am paying XXXX a month is all going to interest. this is robbery and i want something done about it
I am submitting this complaint to report an unauthorized disclosure of my personal and financial information by Spotloan. On XX/XX/XXXX at approximately XXXXXXXX XXXX Spotloan shared my debt information, including the amount owed of {$1300.00}, with a relative of mine. I did not give consent for any of my loan or debt-related information to be disclosed to any third party. This disclosure was not made for the limited purpose of locating me, and the communication went beyond what is legally permitted. Sharing the existence of a debt and the amount owed with a third party is a violation of my privacy and, to my understanding, violates federal consumer protection and financial privacy laws, including but not limited to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ( GLBA ) and applicable debt collection regulations.…
A debt collector, XXXX XXXX XXXX, sent a text message to my mother regarding an alleged overdue consumer loan that is in my name, not hers. This incident occurred on Sunday, XX/XX/year>. The text disclosed the existence of the alleged debt, identified the sender as a debt collector, referenced an overdue account, and included a payment link. My mother is not a co-signer, joint obligor, or otherwise responsible for this debt, and I did not provide consent or authorization for third-party communications. This communication constitutes an unlawful third-party disclosure in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1692c ( b ) ). I am requesting that the company be held accountable for this violation and that appropriate corrective action be taken.
XXXX called and said I owed a specific amount of money which was a very high amount. I obviously have no idea what XXXX and I asked for specific information identifying myself. They could not provide my signature. I have a police report as well as this one. I Would like this to be cleared up immediately if possible. Thank you Sincerely XXXX XXXX
I took out a {$500.00} loan from XXXX. Since then, XXXX has been automatically withdrawing {$100.00} from my bank account every time I get paid ( every two weeks ). This has been happening for the last 5 months. At this point I have paid approximately {$1000.00} total ( {$100.00} x about 10 payments ), which is double the original loan amount, yet the loan still does not appear to be paid off. The lender has not clearly explained how these payments are being applied ( principal vs. interest/fees ) or why the balance is not decreasing in a reasonable way. I believe this loan is predatory due to the extremely high cost relative to the {$500.00} borrowed and the repeated withdrawals tied to my pay periods. I am requesting that XXXX provide a full, itemized payment history and payoff amount, that any improper charges/fees be reversed, and that I receive a refund for any overpayment. I also want the automatic withdrawals stopped and the account brought to a fair resolution.
XXXX continues to send communications reflecting incorrect and inconsistent amounts owed despite a confirmed settlement agreement. Continued Use of Incorrect Balance After Settlement On XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I agreed to settle the account for a total of {$200.00}, payable in three biweekly installments of {$67.00}. Despite this agreement, I continue to receive emails and account communications that reflect amounts different from, and higher than, the agreed settlement balance. Sending notices with incorrect balances after a settlement agreement is misleading, confusing, and improper. It creates uncertainty as to what amount is actually owed and raises concerns that XXXX may attempt to collect more than the agreed settlement. Failure to Accurately Update Account Records XXXX response does not explain why its systems have not been updated to reflect the settlement accurately, nor does it confirm that no additional interest, fees, or balance increases are being applied.…
I am charged close to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I believe this is illegal and against the law. I am charged to close to {$1500.00} on a loan. I did not it was XXXX XXXX apr. I believe this should be looked in by the government.
On XX/XX/year> I provided XXXX with a written notice informing them that I was revoking automatic payment authorization from my debit card/ bank account to their email address XXXX. On XX/XX/year> the company attempted to withdraw a payment from my account after I had already informed them on XX/XX/year> that I was no longer giving them permission to do so.
They have repeatedly called me multiple times DAILY. And they have started continuously calling my family members. Six of them!! They're continuously getting calls/ voicemails from them regarding my debt
