This was on XX/XX/year> around XXXXXXXX XXXX. I received a letter from a collection agency saying I owe a debt. I have never received any previous bills about this supposed debt until this collection notice. There is no date of when this supposed debt was incurred. The claim is that it is a medical debt. I called my insurance provider XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and they checked my records. No debt matching this amount or description is on file. My agent at XXXX called the collection company and the first thing they wanted from my XXXX agent was my full social security number, which she refused to divulge. Then she put me on a third line with him, and the first thing he wanted was my birthdate. I would not give that information to him. Then he very rudely said, " If you will not give me any personal information, I can't help you '' and then hung up. Something is definitely not right about this whole situation.

This debt collector has engaged in conduct that violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). They are reporting an account that I did not authorize, and no signed agreement exists bearing my signature to validate any obligation. A legally binding contract requires clear consent from all parties, which is absent in this case. Additionally, the collector has failed to provide proper validation of the alleged debt as required under the FDCPA. Without sufficient documentation verifying the debts legitimacy, their continued reporting and collection efforts are unlawful. These actions constitute violations of my consumer rights. As a result, I demand the immediate deletion of this account from all reporting agencies. Failure to comply may result in further legal action, including claims for damages.

Debt collection· False statements or representationNJ

I am filing this complaint regarding what I believe were misleading and deceptive debt collection practices. I have been communicating with this collection agency in an effort to resolve an old debt. During negotiations, the agency requested detailed information about my financial hardship, including my unemployment status, medical condition, lack of income, and inability to pay the full amount owed. Following these discussions, the collector presented a settlement amount of approximately {$15000.00} and indicated that the account could be resolved through a payment arrangement. Based on these representations, I believed that payments made under the settlement agreement would be applied toward satisfying the negotiated settlement balance. I subsequently agreed to make a payment of {$5000.00} as part of the settlement arrangement.

I am filing this complaint because [ Central Portfolio Control ] is reporting an inaccurate, predatory, and damaging collection account on my credit report and is engaging in illegal, abusive collection practices. This account stems from my enrollment at [ XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ]. This program was marketed using deceptive trade practices and explicit, false promises of a job guarantee. I fulfilled my obligations as a student, but the school completely failed to deliver on its job placement commitments. Immediately after my cohort graduated, the company completely disbanded the program, revealing it to be a short-term scam designed solely to secure financing from students before abandoning them without career infrastructure or valid credentials. The fundamental issue is that this debt was predatory and fraudulent from its inception. I am invoking the XXXX XX/XX/year> stipulated final judgment against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX ).

Im reaching out because I genuinely feel stuck and like Im not getting any real help resolving an issue on my credit report. There is an account from Central Portfolio Control that is currently being reported on XXXX and XXXX, but this same account was already deleted from XXXX due to discrepancies. That alone tells me theres clearly something wrong with how this account is being reported. Ive already taken the proper steps on my end. I sent dispute letters to the credit bureaus and tried to handle this directly, but I got nowhere. The only response I received was that the account was verified, which doesnt make any sense to me because if it truly was verified, XXXX would not have removed it. Thats where my frustration comes inthere is an obvious inconsistency, but no one seems to be addressing it. At this point, I feel like Im just being ignored and not taken seriously.
