I am writing to formally request the discharge of all student loans held and/or serviced by XXXX due to the companys deceptive practices, misrepresentation, and failure to provide proper guidance regarding my repayment options and federal student loan protections. Throughout my repayment history, XXXX repeatedly steered me into forbearance and deferment instead of properly informing me of affordable Income-Driven Repayment ( IDR ) options that could have reduced my monthly payments and preserved my eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ). As a result, I lost valuable qualifying repayment time toward forgiveness and experienced significant unnecessary interest capitalization, causing my balance to substantially increase beyond the amount originally borrowed. Despite seeking assistance and relying on XXXX guidance as my loan servicer, I was consistently directed away from sustainable repayment solutions and instead placed into repeated periods of forbearance.…
Im still being held accountable for a theft identity issue involving my name and credit with debt why is they still pulling my report I issue all documents this is not me I would like this company to be blocked if possible
I was on Saving on a Valuable Education ( SAVE ) Plan. But under administratiin court order ended the SAVE Plan. This was to be without interest and suddenly I have interest that should not have been while the administration worked on a final decision. The payment plan optio ns are not feasible for any working family given our economy. They also take you income as gross and families do not bring home gross but net. I can not afford the payment plans available.
Not really sure who this is or what company or anything I didnt receive paperwork I didnt apply for any student loans
I am submitting a complaint regarding incomplete and inconsistent federal student loan servicing records associated with my account serviced by Edfinancial Services. I requested historical account documentation, including disclosure history, servicing history, interest accrual history, capitalization history, and clarification regarding unexplained account records and date inconsistencies. Edfinancial Services responded that they do not provide disclosure histories and instead directed me to XXXX. However, this did not resolve my request for historical servicing documentation or account reconstruction. I also received correspondence attempting to explain account records containing an invalid date format ( XX/XX/year> ) associated with accrued interest. The explanation provided did not clarify the actual accrual period, source system, historical timeline, or accuracy of the account data.…
I am submitting this complaint regarding the reporting of delinquent federal student loan payments during the post-COVID federal repayment restart period. I graduated from XXXX school during the COVID-19 pandemic and currently work as a neonatal intensive care unit nurse. During the transition from the federal payment pause and SAVE plan implementation, I misunderstood when my loan payments were scheduled to resume. Due to the significant amount of changing guidance and repayment transition activity occurring during this period, I did not realize my account had become delinquent until XX/XX/year>. As soon as I discovered the delinquency, I immediately paid the approximately {$1800.00} past-due balance in full and brought the account current. I have remained current since that time and have otherwise maintained an excellent credit history with no other missed payments.…
An individual / party opened a direct student loan under my name through EDFinancial. I have frozen all three credit reports & placed fraud alert for a year. I have also disputed the 2 loans opened under my name, one for {$14.00} & another for {$3400.00} on all three credit reports. I have filled out a FTC form for Identity Theft & plan on filing a police report with XXXX.
After multiple disputes, one account still shows 90 days late, even after a XXXX deferment was approved. According to Edfinancials own written credit reporting policy : " Certain deferments and forbearances applied retroactively will remove negative reporting... Below are additional forbearances and programs which retroactively remove negative reporting : XXXX XXXX Deferment/Forbearance. Loan XXXX still shows 90 days late on report as of XX/XX/year>.
I was a student at XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX Federal Direct Loans ( subsidized and unsubsidized ) serviced by EdFinancial. The loans were accepted through the standard XXXX process, including execution of a Master Promissory Note. Following the second-term disbursement in the XXXX academic year, I accessed EdFinancials online account and printed the official payoff statement dated XX/XX/XXXX, which showed a total balance of {$26000.00} across all XXXX loans. Acting promptly on that balance, my aunt wrote and mailed a check for the full payoff amount of {$26000.00} to the XXXX Department of Education payment address listed on the statement. The check has since cleared the payors bank. When the check was posted on XX/XX/XXXX, EdFinancial credited only {$22000.00} to the account {$3700.00} less than the check amount. No explanation, reversal notice, or refund was issued for the difference. I contacted EdFinancial by live chat on XX/XX/XXXX.…

On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a payment to Edfinancial in the amount of {$1100.00} in order to bring my student loan account current. The funds were withdrawn from my checking account several business days later. At the time, my account consisted of three separate loans. Despite the payment being successfully processed and removed from my bank account, the balances on the loans did not decrease or reflect the payment. Because the payment was never properly applied to my loan balance, my account continued to appear past due and additional balances accumulated over time. I did not initially realize the payment had not been credited because the funds had already been withdrawn from my bank account. Additionally, on XX/XX/XXXX, I made another payment in the amount of {$85.00}, which was also withdrawn from my bank account but never applied to my loan balances.…
I am formally escalating my dispute regarding inaccurate, incomplete, and contradictory guidance provided to me by Edfinancial Services concerning my federal student loans, the SAVE administrative forbearance, and Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ). This matter is not simply a disagreement regarding payment amounts. The issue is that I relied on servicing guidance provided by Edfinancial representatives and supervisors, and that guidance materially affected my repayment decisions and caused significant financial harm. While my loans were placed into the SAVE-related administrative forbearance associated with the ongoing federal litigation, I contacted Edfinancial multiple times to ask how the forbearance would affect my PSLF progress and whether I needed to take action.…
Between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I made approximately {$17000.00} in authorized ACH payments from my XXXX checking account to my federal Direct Loan account serviced by EdFinancial Services. Of that total, EdFinancial has properly applied only approximately {$11000.00} to my loan balance. Approximately {$3200.00} in authorized payments has not been applied, refunded, or otherwise accounted for a pattern of servicing failure across multiple transactions over a four-month period. Specific transactions where XXXX debited the full authorized amount but EdFinancial applied less than the authorized amount ( XXXX debit date XXXX amount EdFinancial amount applied shortfall ) : - XX/XX/XXXX {$2700.00} debited {$2500.00} applied {$200.00} shortfall - XX/XX/XXXX {$800.00} debited {$500.00} applied {$300.00} shortfall - XX/XX/XXXX {$2800.00} debited {$2500.00} applied {$300.00} shortfall - XX/XX/XXXX {$1000.00} debited {$600.00} applied {$400.00} shortfall - XX/XX/XXXX {$800.00} debited…
I am submitting a complaint regarding inaccurate loan servicing and repayment plan information by EdFinancial. I had 8 federal student loans serviced by EdFinancial that were in Standard Repayment since approximately 2022. My XXXX account reflects these loans as being in Standard Repayment, and I consistently received monthly billing statements showing the same payment amount due. Separately, I had 2 loans previously serviced by XXXX that were consolidated, placed into the SAVE plan, and approved for school closure discharge. Those 2 loans are pending forgiveness processing. After the 2 loans transferred to EdFinancial, all of my loans were placed into forbearance and the original 8 loans were suddenly listed as being under the SAVE plan, despite me never requesting or authorizing SAVE enrollment for those loans.…
I have late payments on my credit history for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. BEFORE XX/XX/XXXX i had spoken with EdFinancial to put my account in forbearance, it wasn't until XXXX i noticed my account was not in forbearance and 4 late payments were added to my credit report with a status of 120 days late. At this time i reached out to EdFinancial to do a retroactive forbearance to bring my account current as i have never used it in the past and they did, BUT the problem remains that i have 4 VERY late payments on my credit report which absolutely tanked and destroyed any hopes of repairing credit. I also filed a complaint with XXXX XXXX at the time as they help with some of these issues, but the late payments were not resolved. I find it very unfair that even though i requested forbearance, and i have plenty of months left of it, it was not properly applied to my account and now i am paying the consequences. PLEASE help rectify this.…
Counts still wrong and Ive been forced into forbearance for years now. I need relief!
My name is XXXX XXXX, residing at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. My date of birth is XX/XX/XXXX, and the last four digits of my Social Security XXXX are XXXX. I am writing to formally express my hardship situation regarding my two EdFinancial accounts, account number XXXX with a balance of {$1900.00} and account number XXXX with a balance of {$3300.00}. I am a XXXX mother who is currently out of work and I am facing extreme financial hardship that has made it impossible for me to make payments on either of these accounts at this time. As a XXXX mother, I am solely responsible for the financial wellbeing of my household and my children. Losing my income has put me in an incredibly difficult position where I am barely able to cover basic necessities such as housing, food, and childcare. I am not in a position to make any payments toward these accounts while I am in this situation. I am humbly requesting that EdFinancial Services consider removing both of these accounts from my credit report during this time of hardship and that both accounts be deferred until I am back on my feet financially.…
In XXXX, a {$1000.00} check was sent to Edfinancial on my behalf from XXXX XXXX to be credited to my account. XXXX shows that the check was cashed by Edfinancial on XX/XX/XXXX, however, that payment was not added to my account. I paid off my loan balance, meaning I overpaid by {$1000.00} because that money was received and not credited to my account. I have been reaching out to Edfinancial for over XXXX year with no resolution and they keep deferring and saying they'll investigate with no update.
I am filing a complaint regarding repeated misinformation, inconsistent communication, and poor servicing guidance from my student loan servicer, EdFinancial, concerning repayment options and loan eligibility. Over the past year, I proactively contacted EdFinancial multiple times because I could not afford my standard monthly payment as a single mother supporting XXXX children on XXXX income. My goal was to avoid delinquency and responsibly manage my loans before my account became severely past due. During prior conversations with representatives, I was placed into temporary forbearances and quoted significantly lower future monthly payment amounts first approximately {$88.00} per month, then later approximately {$120.00} per month. Based on those conversations, I believed my account had been adjusted into more affordable repayment arrangements that aligned with what I could realistically commit to financially.…
Information is reported inaccurately violating my rights as a consumer
I am submitting this complaint regarding inaccurate credit reporting by Edfinancial Services on my federal student loans. Edfinancial reported XX/XX/XXXX late payments, including 90-day late reporting, across approximately 21 federal student loan tradelines. I believe this reporting is inaccurate because I was already registered for graduate school prior to the XX/XX/XXXX reporting date and qualified for in-school deferment. My school registration for the XXXX XXXX term was completed and confirmed on XX/XX/XXXX. I was registered for two graduate-level courses before the XX/XX/XXXX delinquency reporting occurred. Edfinancial later applied my in-school deferment effective XX/XX/XXXX. I believe the XX/XX/XXXX date reflects administrative processing or school reporting timing, not the actual date I became eligible for deferment. I contacted Edfinancial several times to resolve this issue.…
" I am disputing the total principal balance of this XXXX XXXX loan. My son withdrew from XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/year> due to medical reasons, yet the loan reflects a full year 's tuition. Furthermore, I never authorized the payment deferments that allowed interest to accrue, and I believe my account records were mishandled during the multiple transfers between XXXX, XXXX, and Edfinancial. I am requesting a full audit of the 'Return of Title IV Funds ' and a correction of my total balance. ''
I called XXXX XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. I explained that I had recently lost my job and needed some assistance to hold my payments. They promised me that I would be notified before payments would begin again. However I was hit with an 6 immediate 90 days past due marks on my credit score. I was not properly notified of when payments would have to resume and I should not of been hit with a 90 past due XXXX when I asked for the payment to be put on hold due to financial hardships.
Ed financial had a major data breach. I could not login to an account or contact anyone that could get me to the account in XXXX after I started receiving XXXX calls a days on student loan debt relief. Last year XXXX accounts popped up that said have been open and payed every month since opening. The last XXXX months I get XXXX day delinquent on XXXX different loans for the same thing. There destroying my credit saying Im paying and then coming back saying Im XXXX days past.
I am submitting this complaint regarding the EDFINANCIAL account currently being reported on my credit file with a reported balance of {$3900.00}. I respectfully request a complete investigation into the accuracy, balance calculation, and payment reporting associated with this account under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). After reviewing my credit report, I noticed discrepancies and potentially misleading reporting that may not accurately reflect the true status of this account. Specifically, the account reflects a balance that exceeds the original highest balance reported, which raises concerns regarding the accuracy and calculation of the amount being furnished to the credit bureaus. I am requesting that EDFINANCIAL provide full verification of the debt, including the original signed agreement, complete payment history, itemized balance calculations, interest and fee breakdowns, and documentation proving the accuracy of all reported late or missed payments.…
I missed my payment by XXXX days for my student loans, but I was not able to even afford to keep up with my credit card debt. Back in the beginning of XX/XX/year>, I received a settlement check I been waiting for for XXXX years due to an injury and I was able to pay off my credit card debt. I also went away to XXXX XXXX XXXX boot camp from XXXX to XXXX and that set me off track from everything. I submitted a request to redo my payment plan with Ed Financial and they accepted but are telling me they cant remove the negative remark on my credit for the missed payment, but that does make sense because they approved my XXXX repayment that starts next month. I understand I missed my payment but it was my first time, and I wasnt even able to afford my own expenses, and this has hurt my credit to the point where its going to hold me back and put such a bad burden on my life for the next XXXX years.
EdFinancial stated they have no knowledge that my loans are associated with XXXX When my loan was with XXXX my loan indicated XXXX. why is Edfinancial unaware of my XXXX?
