I have formally invoked the FTC Holder Rule ( 16 C.F.R. Part 433 ) via certified mail to GreenSky , LLC. The merchant, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, drew exactly {$38000.00} from the GreenSky loan account under false pretenses. The merchant explicitly misrepresented the status of the job, falsely claiming it was XXXX % complete to induce my authorization. In reality, the project was nowhere near the contractually required 90 % completion mark. The work remains entirely incomplete, defective, and unrendered. Furthermore, the merchants faulty installation has caused active structural property damage to my home, including cracked floor joists and a sinking floor.I have already paid a cash down payment of {$16000.00} via Check XXXX XXXX, meaning I have paid over {$54000.00} for a completely failed, hazardous project. GreenSky must freeze all collections immediately under federal law while this merchant fraud is investigated.
I am filing this complaint as a continuation of a prior CFPB complaint against Greensky LLC. In their response to my previous complaint, Greensky stated they were unable to reach me to gather further information. This is inaccurate and constitutes a misrepresentation to the CFPB. I work nights and sleep during Greenskys operating hours. I have made repeated requests over the course of this multi-year dispute for Greensky to contact me by email rather than phone. Greensky has my email address and has demonstrated the ability to use it they have emailed me previously to notify me that payments were resuming after a prior complaint they unilaterally considered resolved, and they emailed me most recently in response to a separate complaint filed with the XXXX Attorney Generals office. For this specific CFPB complaint, they made phone-only contact attempts during hours they know I am unavailable, then reported to the CFPB that communication had failed.…
I was solicited to use Green Sky to fund loan to repair my windows. The company never repaired my windows. They didnt install new windows. This loan should have been refunded, but I have been paying on it ever since with no service provided. I am older and was taken advantage of this. Feels like elderly abuse.
GreenSky Problem with a purchase / dispute / billing Issue : Dispute of loan due to failure of service Details : I am filing a complaint regarding a loan serviced by GreenSky tied to a home improvement project completed by XXXXXXXX XXXX The work performed is defective and unsafe. The installation includes uneven padding, improper stretching, and visible tack strips, creating a tripping hazard. A repair attempt was made and worsened the condition. This project does not meet the standard of substantial completion and constitutes a failure of service tied to the financed work. I opened a dispute with GreenSky ( XXXX # XXXX ), but I was told this is a warranty issue and directed back to the contractor. This is incorrect, as the work was never properly completed. I am requesting : A formal review of the dispute A temporary hold on payments during investigation
I am filing this complaint regarding inaccurate credit reporting by GreenSky. GreenSky is currently reporting multiple late payments on my credit report that I believe are inaccurate, incomplete, and/or not properly verified in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I previously disputed these late payments with the credit bureaus, and GreenSky responded with a generic verified response. However, they did not provide any documentation or evidence showing how these late payments were verified. Under 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( a ), furnishers are required to report information accurately, and under 15 U.S.C. 1681i, all disputed information must be properly investigated.…
I took out a loan with the GreenSky XXXX XXXX for {$10000.00}. Im financing a walk-in shower installed by XXXXXXXX XXXX The monthly payment was {$150.00}. My complaintGreenSky changed the loan amount to {$10000.00}. They now have changed the monthly payment also to {$150.00}
I use Green Sky XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX My loan for putting in a window was {$2600.00} XXXX paid {$1100.00} the amount that I owe is even more now {$2800.00} at the rate this loan is going I will never pay it off I pay XXXX a month this is really ridiculous.
I am filing a complaint regarding a loan issued through GreenSky and backed by XXXX XXXX. The original loan amount was approximately {$15000.00}. I have paid approximately {$15000.00} toward this account. Despite this, I have been informed that I still owe approximately {$17000.00}. At the time of the transaction, the financing was presented as a promotional or no interest option. The deferred interest structure and the true cost of the loan, including a 26.99 % APR and total repayment exceeding {$38000.00}, were not clearly or reasonably explained to me. I believe I was misled regarding the terms of this loan. The way the financing was presented did not make it clear that interest was accruing during the promotional period and would be added retroactively if not paid in full. Additionally, I am requesting a full accounting of how {$15000.00} in payments resulted in a remaining balance greater than the original loan amount.…
I obtained a consumer installment loan through GreenSky to finance a home improvement project performed by XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/year>. The total financing was approximately {$15000.00}, structured in two disbursements : an initial amount of {$8400.00} and a second disbursement of {$7400.00} after the work was completed. After completion of the project, I later discovered that the original contractor, XXXX XXXX XXXX, is now out of business. As a result, I am unable to obtain any warranty support, service, or corrective work related to the project. I contacted GreenSky customer service to request information and assistance regarding my loan and options for resolution due to the contractors closure and the inability to obtain warranty service. My attempts to get help were not effective. I was provided limited and unclear information and given phone numbers that did not lead to any resolution.…
I am filing a complaint regarding the improper charge-off of my account. I was explicitly told that my account needed to be brought current by XX/XX/2026. On that exact date, I submitted a payment through GreenSkys official payment portal to bring the account current and even went forth with scheduled auto payments of $ XXXX to ensure I never get behind again and keep my account current. The payment was initiated on time and in good faith reliance on the stated deadline. However, because the payment posted on XX/XX/2026 - due to processing time outside of my control - GreenSky charged off the account. Additionally, I had previously made a {$100.00} payment around the XXXX mark at the direction of a GreenSky representative to demonstrate account activity and avoid negative action. I made every reasonable effort to comply with their requirements and prevent charge-off. Penalizing me for standard payment processing timing is unfair and not reflective of my actions.…
Company : Greensky I am filing a complaint regarding a solar panel financing account that I am disputing due to lack of contract documentation, ongoing billing without service support, and potential material misrepresentation at the time of sale. I purchased a solar panel system for approximately {$18000.00}. I was never provided with a signed contract or any documentation outlining the terms of the agreement, despite requesting it. The original solar company involved in the installation is now out of business, leaving me without access to customer service, warranty, or system support. Despite this, I continue to be billed monthly for the financing. In addition, I continue to incur electricity charges of approximately {$100.00} per month, a solar payment of approximately {$130.00} per month, and approximately {$2000.00} annually in overage charges. At the time of sale, I was explicitly told that the solar system would eliminate my electric bill.…
I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and received windows from XXXX XXXX XXXX however I just leaned that they not apply for the required building permits for the installation process. I don't believe I should be forced to pay for something that was done to my home illegally. The loan administrator is GreenSky. The Contractor was paid in full. I was told Those payments were to be {$75.00} a month however GreenSky is charging {$140.00} a month.
I opened up a {$14000.00} project loan through XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX for a privacy fence. I have been paying {$260.00} per month every since. Each month, I receive a {$150.00} finance change, which I feel had been really ridiculous causing me to make no headway towards closing this account with a XXXX balance. As a result, as of today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I still owe {$13000.00}. I have complained to this company in their online email portal at least XXXX different times over the past XXXX and half years. Is there anyway I can get out of this loan agreement without the need to file bankruptcy. This is the only account that I have ever had that seems to have ballooned in this manor.
Complaint against Greensky. Not reporting correct amount of payments to credit reporting agencies. Account ending XXXX
I am disputing charges related to an HVAC installation financed through this account. The contractor failed to deliver the services as agreed. The installation was defective and incomplete, required multiple corrective visits, and never reached substantial completion. Several contract-required items were not installed, and the air-conditioning portion of the system was never tested or commissioned. Safety and code-related concerns were present throughout the installation. The contractor acknowledged in writing that the workmanship, repeated return visits, incomplete items, and safety concerns were unacceptable, but offered only a minimal refund unrelated to the unearned labor. I requested a full refund of installation and workmanship charges. I have obtained an independent HVAC evaluation confirming that the deficiencies are related to installation workmanship and failure to meet manufacturer installation and commissioning requirements, not equipment defects.…
I signed an agreement with XXXX XXXX to remodel my bathroom. In order to receive 18 months in interest free financing they had me sign up with Greensky to bridge the amount that would be due after writing XXXX a check. At that time, I wrote them a check for a large sum of money and received a " loan '' from Greensky for the remaining balance of the what was due. XXXX then took {$3700.00} from that account with Greensky and days later went out of business and I have received no service, or remodel work from XXXX. Now, Greensky continues to send me emails about the {$3700.00} that they think I owe. I have informed Greensky that XXXX took their money, I have received no service at all for that money and that they need to go after XXXX for the {$3700.00}. I still continue to be contacted about this. I feel that this should fall under the XXXX XXXX and because of this should not be held liable for the money that XXXX took.
In XXXX of of XXXX. I filled out a prequlify application for a home repair loan. I was offered an amount but rejected it. A few weeks later I recieved letters saying I have a full line of credit and suggested payments and strategies. I never agreed to a full line of credit. It was a pre-qualify to see IF I could get it. Anyway, after they claimed it was closed and I demanded that all infromation unless dictated by law needs to be deleted and I do not consent to my info being sold or given out. I have a letter saying the account was closed. I recieved yet another letter today XX/XX/XXXX of them stating that will be selling my information without my consent. I have called several times on XX/XX/XXXX they continue to hang up on me.
Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX, a salesman, XXXX, and a partner, XXXX, showed up for an appointment I requested through XXXX for an estimate on a replacement door. The advertizement said a percentage off special was running. I asked for an estimate for other windows while they were here to check some prices. They gave me an estimate of about XXXX and said the promotional % would be removed after credit approval. I think the promotion was 50 % off or buy XXXX, get XXXX free ; I can not recall now. I did allow them to run my credit and I was approved for the entire purchase but did not ever receive the actual estimate in writing. I was at this time offered the option for a year with no interest and was told my account would not be charged until the windows were installed. I was sent a text with a docusign with the amount of {$27000.00} but with limited itemization not showing the actual window and door pricing, the discount, which items were being discounted and at what rate yet.…
I am filing this complaint against GreenSky Credit for repeatedly misclassifying my dispute, failing to investigate the defective workmanship claim, ignoring evidence I provided, and violating my rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act. Despite submitting clear and substantial documentation showing defective workmanship, services not rendered properly, and significant property damage, GreenSky continues to list my case as a quality dispute, which is inaccurate and this misclassification, along with improper review directly resulted in my dispute being closed without a fair investigation. On XX/XX/XXXX, I formally initiated a dispute with GreenSky. That same day, I sent a detailed email and included multiple pieces of evidence, including photos, inspection findings, and documentation explaining the defective installation. I clearly stated that my dispute involved defective workmanship and services not rendered.…
A payoff check issued as part of a real estate closing was sent directly to GreenSky , LLC as payee to satisfy a solar loan. The check was sent via XXXX Priority Registered Mail and was delivered and signed for on XX/XX/XXXX. Despite proof of delivery, GreenSky has not acknowledged receipt or applied the payoff. GreenSky representatives have stated that the payoff will not be credited unless I obtain a negotiated check image from XXXX. I am not the payee on the check and not a XXXX customer, and XXXX will not release such documentation to a third party. As the named payee, GreenSky is responsible for locating, confirming receipt of, and depositing funds delivered to its address. I am requesting that the payoff be credited as of the delivery date and that no interest, fees, or negative credit reporting occur due to this delay.
On XX/XX/XXXX, we entered into a home improvement financing agreement with GreenSky through XXXX XXXX of Michigan ( XXXX ), for a residential project located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Michigan. The financing was set up in person by the contractor at the time of the sale. On XX/XX/XXXX, GreenSky processed a down payment of {$8800.00}. The project was not completed, and significant issues arose regarding performance and resulting damage to the home. On XX/XX/XXXX we formally opened a dispute with GreenSky for contractor non-performance and incomplete work. GreenSky assigned Case # XXXX and confirmed the dispute was under review. During this period, we repeatedly communicated in writing that the project was incomplete, damages were alleged, and no authorization was granted for release of additional funds.…
My documents were stolen in 2003, My identity has been compromised, as a result of that several accounts have been opened without my authorization. I am unaware of this account.
I have a loan with GreenSky ( Lender : XXXX Bank ). My current balance is {$15000.00} at 24.99 % interest. The 'hardship plan ' GreenSky provided lowered my payment to {$180.00}, but they refused to lower the interest rate. This payment is {$130.00} less than the monthly interest alone, meaning my debt grows every month. I am in a state of 'Negative Amortization. ' I have contacted the company multiple times requesting an interest rate reduction to allow the loan to be paid off, but they have refused. I am requesting a fixed-rate plan with an APR below 10 % so that my payments actually reduce the principal.
I contacted Greensky several times. The first time wanted to know when did I opened an account that was related to my dental implant services. I contacted them twice since then both times wanting a reduction in my payment since the implants the dentist put in only lasted XXXX years and I went to another dental office to have them replaced and they did them for free when they discovered XXXXXXXX XXXX charged me {$40000.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX XXXX told me he will not be doing anything else on my implants even though I was not happy with them. I was got at least a reduction in the bill XXXX XXXX XXXX will not take my calls.
I am formally disputing the validity of the alleged collection and charge-off account being reported under my name. This letter serves as a request for full debt validation pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) 15 U.S.C. 1692g ( b ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 15 U.S.C. 1681i. I do not acknowledge this debt as valid. Before any further reporting, collection activity, or communication regarding this account continues, I am requesting that you provide the following : Verification of the debt, including the original signed contract or agreement bearing my signature. The complete payment history and itemized breakdown showing how the alleged balance was calculated. Proof of your legal authority to collect or report this debt, including a copy of any assignment or purchase agreement from the original creditor. The name, address, and contact information of the original creditor for proper verification.
In XXXX I hired XXXX to redo a kitchen for XXXX. I had the money to pay cash but the XXXX rep convinced me to borrow interest free for one year from Greensky and keep earning my 5.5 percent interest until then. The loan was to be repaid interest free from the date of the first purchase, which I believe was XX/XX/XXXX. The kitchen was not redone until XX/XX/XXXX. I have borrowed from this company before and paid back before interest acrued and planned to do the same. Unfortunately it slipped my mind and I did not pay until XX/XX/XXXX. They posted that payment on XX/XX/XXXX and charged the full years interest of XXXX. I tried to negotiate the interest via the companies chat box. They declined and I asked to talk to a manager. They gave me a phone number and explained that I should hold down the one to talk to a human. The number is automated and that did not work. I am willing to partial pay the interest, but I feel the whole amount is punitive.…
I paid off the provided pay off amount on XXXX XXXX XXXX. I recieved an email recently saying I owed XXXX, which included missed payment fees. I spoke with them about it and they said after paying the pay off amount, I still owed XXXX. This is GreenSky. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX told me the account would not have interest when they told me to sign up. That was already a lie. However, when given my pay off amount, I was under the assumption it would pay off the account.
