In or around XX/XX/2024, I was contacted by a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, which presented itself as a job consulting and placement service offering a 100 % Job Guaranteed Program. I was told the process involved training and job placement assistance, and I was informed that I would not need to make payments before obtaining employment. During this process, I was directed to complete onboarding and application steps that I believed were related to employment. I later discovered that these steps resulted in a private education financing agreement through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX being opened in my name. The financing was not clearly or transparently explained to me as a traditional private loan with repayment obligations. Instead, it was represented as part of a job placement program where payment obligations would only occur after securing employment, and I was misled about the true nature and consequences of the agreement.…

Halsted Financial is attempting to collect a {$510.00} balance for an account that no longer has a balance. I am also an identity theft victim ( FTC Report XX/XX/year> ) and this duplicate reporting is causing further harm. ''
In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a phone call and voicemail from Halsted Financial Services attempting to collect an alleged debt originally from XXXX XXXX, associated with attendance at XXXX XXXX XXXX, a short-term vocational program. The account is purportedly now owned by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am disputing this debt in its entirety. The CFPB filed suit against XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, alleging that XXXX XXXX deceived borrowers about short-term vocational programs exactly the type of program this loan was used for. XXXX XXXX XXXX also has a documented history of collecting on debt tied to fraudulent for-profit schools. I have sent a written debt validation letter to Halsted Financial via certified mail disputing this debt and requesting full documentation, including the original signed promissory note and proof of legal ownership of the account.…

XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX is still the current debt holder that is having these companies reach out. They have been given 2 notices and I am ready to seek legal reprecussions at this point.
I am providing additional documentation showing a previously approved dispute against XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/year> resolved XX/XX/year> with XXXX showing Approved status. I sent a written cease and desist request on XX/XX/XXXX to Halsted Financial Services , LLC instructing them to stop all communications with me regarding the alleged debt. Despite receiving my request on XX/XX/XXXX, the company continued to contact me by text message on at least three separate occasions ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX ) after the date they received my letter. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), a debt collector must cease communication after receiving a written request, except for limited purposes such as confirming no further contact or notifying of specific legal action. The continued text messages do not fall under those exceptions and appear to be violations of federal law. I also disputed this alleged debt in writing and requested validation. The company failed to provide any validation of the debt and continued collection activity, including sending text messages.…

I am filing a complaint against a debt collection agency identifying itself as Halsted Financial and related email domains ( including XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Since approximately XX/XX/year>, I have been receiving repeated and excessive email communications from multiple email addresses associated with this company. These emails are being sent daily and sometimes multiple times per day. The emails include language such as : * Pre-Legal Notice * Immediate Attention Required * Response Requested * Lets Resolve This Together These messages create the impression that legal action is imminent, which I believe is misleading and intended to pressure me into responding. The frequency and tone of these communications feel harassing and intimidating. The use of multiple domains to send similar messages also appears deceptive.…
XXXX XXXX XXXX and Halstead Financial Services are both charging me for one account. XXXX is owned by Halstead.
Hi, I had a closed account from XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) regarding a loan, and I had an agreement with another company to pay off this debt. Apparently, this debt was sold off to another company named Hlasted financial services. This company emails me multiple times a day over and over... every single day regardless of if its during the week or the weekend. I think its very excessive and according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act it prohibits harassments to collect a debt and the way the email over and over multiple times a day is a form of harassment. I have attached documentation and its just a small sample size of what I get multiple times a day every single day.

To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this statement to file a formal complaint regarding the collection activities of Halsted Financial, a debt collector. Halsted Financial contacted me on XX/XX/year>, attempting to collect a debt allegedly associated with my XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card account. However, this account remains active, and I am currently making payments directly to the original creditor, XXXX XXXX. Based on this, I dispute the validity of Halsted Financials claim that this debt is owed to them. Given that the account is not charged off, sold, or transferred, and remains in good standing with the original creditor, Halsted Financial does not appear to have a legitimate basis to collect on this account. Their actions raise serious concerns about inaccurate reporting and improper collection practices. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), I have the right to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information on my credit report.…
